The paper explores the impact of some interdisciplinary teaching practices in promoting school inclusion, in particular for pupils with educational and social vulnerabilities and with disabilities. Teachers and educators have a responsibility to create an inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and supports the individual needs and learning trajectories of all students who are carriers of different cultures. The incorporation of interdisciplinary teaching practices not only improves academic achievement, but also promotes social integration, empathy and understanding among pupils, as well as the exploration of certain values such as justice and equality. The study delves into the potential benefits of interdisciplinary approaches, in which educators from different subject areas collaborate to design and implement holistic training plans. By combining knowledge and skills across disciplines such as language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, teachers and educators can create meaningful learning experiences that cater to different learning styles and abilities. Educational practices, promoting inclusion, actively engage pupils with vulnerabilities and provide learning opportunities through the promotion of a culture of acceptance, tolerance and inclusivity among all learners. The aim of the study is to highlight how the creation of learning environments in which every student feels valued and supported and interdisciplinary teaching practices can produce positive impacts on pupils' performance and emotional well-being, promoting a sense of belonging and self-confidence. This paper aims to investigate the heuristic value of utopia and dystopia for teachers' pedagogical reflection. In this context, the Future Lab methodology appears to be a potential tool for supporting the creation of “spaces of meaning”: rest areas from a bulimic present to interrupt the performance loop and restore meaning to one's actions. Nel presente contributo si riflette sull’insegnamento dell’aspetto verbale serbo e croato a studenti italofoni e si avanzano alcune proposte per il suo insegnamento. In particolare, il percorso delineato si avvale degli apporti della teoria linguistica formale e cognitiva e li traduce in una serie di attività e materiali didattici improntati all’analisi contrastiva e alla riflessione metalinguistica. Inoltre, si forniscono suggerimenti su come, quando e in che ordine affrontare diversi elementi della conoscenza dell’aspetto (di natura semantica, pragmatica, morfologica, lessicale, metalinguistica) necessaria per gestire il sistema aspettuale in serbo e croato. Il contributo contiene, a titolo di esempio, alcuni esercizi sperimentati in classe ed è pensato come una risorsa per gli insegnanti di serbo e croato come L2.

In Annex A to the DPCM of 4 August 2023 it is stated that the qualified teachers must demonstrate mastery in relation to the basic nuclei of disciplinary knowledge, to contemporary epistemologies and methodologies, to epistemologies and methodologies used in the past and to the main interdisciplinary connections existing among the knowledge areas to which the competition class refers or toward other disciplines. In a series of four notes, we intend to address the points mentioned above regarding to the mathematical branch of knowledge. In this first note we will start from interdisciplinarity, also showing with examples its usefulness at an educational level. We will demonstrate not how the interdisciplinarity makes the teaching of mathematics less hostile but also how useful the knowledge of mathematics is also to better teach even the humanistic knowledge areas. The contribution "Open Book Landscape" examines how the perception and study of landscapes have changed over time, emphasizing the crucial role of water and vegetation in the formation of the landscape itself and discusses how human activity has transformed it, from the creation of Renaissance gardens to the development of agricultural landscapes. The author also highlights the cultural and emotional connection with landscapes, emphasizing their nature not only physical but also reflective of our emotions and feelings. Finally, the article addresses modern challenges in observing and understanding landscapes, highlighting the decline in students' observational skills, attributing it to the increase in digital technology and disconnection from nature. Personalization is a crucial concept in education, related to ways of learning and teaching children, youth and even adults. This idea is not new. Its roots go back to the child development approach, to humanistic and progressive ideas in education, and is most frequently known as the studentcentered approach. While most schools in the world are indifferent to the personal and thus internal processes of the learner (including the meanings of socialization) personalization can be misunderstood. On one hand, the frequent misunderstanding between personalization and individualization may imply a subtraction of sociality for competitive reasons. On the other, the reality of classroom pedagogy and school organization, especially in primary and secondary education, but also at the tertiary level, is more often that of standardized classroom teaching and organizational rigidity. This article arises from the need to understand and analyze how heritage is taught in secondary schools in Italy. The aim of the research is educational diagnosis and the methodology applied is quantitative, based on the completion of a questionnaire to active teachers. This information collection tool was designed and validated taking into account the objective of this study. This is a non-probabilistic study based on a convenience sample (n=122) of teachers who teach or have taught the subject of History in the region of Agrigento (southern Italy) at secondary school level, during the academic year 2020/2021. The descriptive and inferential analyses carried out show that heritage teaching in the region of Agrigento (Sicily) is traditional and based on the textbook and the master class. The use of more innovative and active strategies and resources is more frequent among women and teachers in the 31-40 age group. It is concluded that there is a need to improve the methodological training of teachers, to ensure a more active and innovative heritage teaching. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The teachings of Stories of the twentieth century and History of contemporary Italy are placed in the chronological span of a century, the twentieth century, in which history and memory tend, unlike previous centuries, to overlap, interpenetrate, often get confused, favoring a multiplication of definitions to label this period. If history, by definition, requires precise research tools and investigative methodologies, it is also true that sources are also affected by this coincidence, placing the new mass media alongside the more traditional ones. The university courses – through multiple tools of analysis, critical evaluation and narration of the decisive moments of "global" and Italian history – have the objective of developing in students the ability to interpret information in the light of the most recent historiographical production and critically interpret the debate on the so-called «public use of history». The article analyzes some of the results that emerged from a questionnaire administered in the academic year 2021/2022, aimed at investigating the point of view of primary school teachers regarding experiences of philosophical reflection with children. The idea of focusing attention on teachers lies in the belief that they are the main protagonists of philosophical practices with children, and that it is important to hear their voices. This contribution analyzes issues such as the training of teachers who intend to engage in these teaching experiences; the benefits that philosophy can bring transversally to improve learning in other disciplines; the possibility of developing critical thinking capacities in children; the increase of logical and argumentative skills; and finally the development of citizenship and social responsibility skills. A positive picture seems to emerge from the results of the questionnaire, where teachers show themselves to be proactive with respect to the possibility of understanding philosophical dialogue as a discourse that can be conducted with children of all ages. This leads, in turn, to the need to revisit normal teaching practices, and to the need for teachers to question themselves through targeted training. It is believed that the survey has positively stimulated teachers, even those who have never had direct experience with children's philosophy, and that it has shown how in a changing society, the figure of the teacher must change as well. Il contributo mostra una possibile ricaduta del metodo Feuerstein sull’insegnamento curricolare. Nella scuola, infatti, vi è un sempre maggior interesse a sviluppare negli allievi la propensione a imparare a imparare, e gli studi basati sulle evidenze indicano nell’approccio interattivo e nell’organizzazione consapevole della proposta d’aula due caratteristiche fondamentali di una lezione efficace. Un esempio significativo di modalità dialogica e applicazione della pianificazione della lezione (o lesson planning) è costituito dal Programma di Arricchimento Strumentale Feuerstein. Il lesson planning, non sempre utilizzato in Italia, può costituire per i docenti l’occasione per sviluppare una maggiore consapevolezza rispetto ai processi di apprendimento in aula. Si evidenzia così che le fasi della lezione di Feuerstein, a diversi decenni di distanza, ricevono conferma dai recenti studi in ambito didattico evidence-based. Questi studi mettono in luce come il potenziamento del pensiero sia ascrivibile non solo alle attività e ai contenuti proposti, ma anche alla presenza di un itinerario d’apprendimento tracciato consapevolmente dall’insegnante, articolato in fasi, con obiettivi espliciti, flessibile e altamente dialogico.

This article reconstructs, in general terms, the history of Garibaldi’s place in Italian schools from the Unification onwards, thus allowing us to understand the importance that the Risorgimento has had in the civic formation of the nation. By privileging the relationship between school and society, we can see how the myth of Garibaldi maintains a deep-rooted continuity, albeit with inevitable changes from the Liberal period to Fascism, from Fascism to the Republic, up to the definitive rupture caused by the long-term impact of 1968. L’obiettivo del contributo è illustrare lo stato dell’arte dei Teaching Games for Understanding (Thorpe R., Bunker D., 1982) attraverso l’analisi della letteratura di riferimento. Con la locuzione TGFU (insegnare i giochi per comprendere) si indica, in ambito scolastico e sportivo, un modello di insegnamento, ideato per il settore scolastico, come originale variante del sistema globale-analitico-globale. La letteratura scientifica analizzata è apparsa molto fertile ed attenta alla tematica prescelta, mostrando numerosi punti di vista, metodologie e procedure contrastanti e simili allo stesso tempo. Il fine del progetto è una attenta analisi degli studi effettuati sui TGFU, passando in rassegna i tanti punti di vista delle copiose ricerche in tema, confrontando procedure e problemi, caratteri comuni e differenze, evidenziando dove possibile gli apparenti gap e le eventuali e possibili aree di studio da approfondire.

After outlining the renascent interest in teaching within contemporary educational theory, the present paper engages with a reflection on teaching beyond the predominant learnification and the related emphasis on efficacy as a primary value. In this endeavour, the theme of teachers’ demoralization is introduced in a philosophical-educational key, by deploying an existential perspective. Within this horizon, a special focus is on failure construed as intimately linked with the ‘essence’ of education qua an encounter of free beings and as a possibility inherent to the dignity of teaching. In conclusion, some implications of this recognition of the ‘significance’ of failure are indicated in regard to teacher education.

The paper orbits around Lévinas’ idea of teaching as opposite to Socratic maieutic method. According to the phenomenologist, pursuing only the goal of drawing out of the students what is already contained in them relegates teaching to a secondary role and, first and foremost, underlies an anthropology centered on the ego and not on the relationship. The aim of the paper is to show how this anthropology is unable to respond to many “emergencies” of contemporary education.

La “Costituzione scolastica” individua la scuola quale servizio offerto alla cittadinanza, sia in funzione democratica e di uguaglianza, sia come fattore di creazione di capitale umano, per lo sviluppo della persona e della Nazione. Servizio chiamato ad operare in un assetto policentrico, il cui fulcro è individuato nell’autonomia funzionale delle scuole. Centralismo burocratico, disinvestimenti, divari territoriali e sociali, conflitti istituzionali, inadeguati livelli di apprendimento, dispersione scolastica, freni elettorali e corporativi minano l’effettività del diritto sociale all’istruzione. In una fase di “rivoluzione industriale” delle conoscenze, la scuola italiana, come servizio per la comunità, è al centro di una tensione che rischia di tramutarsi in un fattore di declino del Paese, in cui a farne le spese saranno i più giovani. Completare il processo di attuazione dell’autonomia scolastica, dare corpo alla governance policentrica e innalzare la qualità dell’insegnamento, quale leva per il miglioramento degli apprendimenti, costituiscono possibili rimedi per consentire al servizio di istruzione di svolgere al meglio il ruolo assegnato dalla Costituzione e dal diritto europeo.

La recherche académique sur Dante Alighieri s'est récemment concentrée sur les formes d'actualisation de son œuvre, en analysant, par exemple, les réécritures de la Divine Comédie dans la culture pop (chansons, bandes dessinées, cinéma, jeux vidéo, etc.). L'objectif de cet article est d'étudier la manière dont les œuvres de Dante sont actualisées dans certains manuels de littérature populaire destinés aux écoles secondaires italiennes, afin de comprendre comment une image de lui peut être diffusée parmi des générations d'Italiens d'un point de vue non-historique ou non-chronologique. La ricerca accademica su Dante Alighieri si è di recente soffermata sulle forme di attualizzazione del suo lavoro, analizzando, ad esempio, le riscritture della Divina Commedia nella cultura pop (canzoni, fumetti, cinema, videogiochi, ecc.). Lo scopo di questo articolo è quello di indagare il modo in cui le opere di Dante sono attualizzate in alcuni diffusi manuali di letteratura per la scuola secondaria italiana, al fine di capire come una sua immagine possa essere diffusa tra generazioni di italiani da un punto di vista non storico o cronologico. The academic research on Dante Alighieri has recently focused its attention on the modernization of his works, analyzing, for example, the rewriting of Divine Comedy in pop culture (songs, comics, cinema, videogames, etc.). The aim of this article is to investigate the way in which Dante’s works are modernized in some popular Italian literature textbooks, to understand how his figure can be disseminated among generations of Italian students by a non-historical or non-chronological point of view.

Criticism of the teaching of ancient Greek and Latin languages in Italian classical high schools has remote origins, if one is aware that one of the most famous exponents of this current is even Pascoli; over the last twenty years, however, the extensive querelle that has arisen around classical studies has led a large number of intellectuals not only to question the usefulness and relevance of tradere and declensions, but also to refl ect on the possibility of questioning the teaching methods, attempting to overcome the secular paradigm of the so-called “traditional” method by adopting innovative techniques and assumptions: this is the case, for example, of the “natura” method, devised by the Danish latinist Ørberg in the 1950s. The fervent refl ections conducted on Latin and Greek have so far led to a polarisation of positions around “traditionalism”, among whose ranks one can count those who persist in teaching the classical languages by maintaining as a reference the antiquated modus docendi overfl owing with philology and devoid of glottodidactics, and to “naturalism”, a trend born of the insights of Ørberg, and before him Berlitz, based on the paradoxical principle of teaching the ghlóssai in the same way as English, French, or any other living language. The present study is entrusted with the task of synthesising both factiones, highlighting the strengths of both methods, with the aim of providing a rationalised, objective and fruitful fi eld of investigation for the continuation of the intellectual debate on Greek and Latin, in the hope of reaching a unanimous consensus on the indispensable importance of classical studies, particularly linguistic and literary studies, for the construction of a critical and aware democratic society, Le critiche all’insegnamento delle lingue greca antica e latina nei licei classici italiani hanno origini remote, se si ha contezza che uno dei più celebri esponenti di questa corrente sia addirittura Pascoli; nel corso dell’ultimo ventennio, tuttavia, la nutrita querelle sorta intorno agli studi classici ha portato un gran numero di intellettuali non solo ad interrogarsi sull’utilità e l’attualità del tradere e delle declinazioni, ma anche a rifl ettere sulla possibilità di metterne in discussione le modalità d’insegnamento, tentando di superare il paradigma secolare del metodo cosiddetto “tradizionale” con l’adozione di tecniche e presupposti innovativi: è questo il caso, ad esempio, del metodo “natura”, ideato dal latinista danese Ørberg negli anni Cinquanta. Le fervide rifl essioni condotte intorno al latino e al greco hanno sinora portato alla polarizzazione delle posizioni intorno al “tradizionalismo”, tra le cui fi la è possibile annoverare coloro che persistano nell’insegnare le lingue classiche mantenendo come riferimento l’antiquato modus docendi carico di fi lologia e scevro di glottodidattica, e al “naturalismo”, fi lone nato dalle intuizioni di Ørberg, e prima di lui Berlitz, fondato sul paradossale principio di insegnare le ghlóssai alla stregua dell’inglese, del francese, o di qualsiasi lingua viva. Al presente studio è affi dato il compito di sintetizzare entrambe le factiones, evidenziando i punti di forza dell’uno e dell’altro metodo, con l’obiettivo di fornire un campo d’indagine razionalizzato, oggettivo e fecondo per la prosecuzione del dibattito intellettuale intorno al greco e al latino, nella speranza di raggiungere un consenso unanime sull’imprescindibile importanza che gli studi classici, in particolare linguistici e letterari, rivestano per la costruzione di una società democratica critica e consapevole.

- Abstract
Il recente studio “Learn for our planet. A global review of how environmental issues are integrated in education” di United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO, 2021) ha analizzato la misura in cui le questioni ambientali sono integrate nelle politiche e nei programmi d’istruzione primaria e secondaria di quarantasei Stati membri a livello planetario. Il documento rileva come, pur nella progressiva presenza della sostenibilità nei curricula, oltre la metà di essi non include riferimenti al cambiamento climatico (solo il 47%). Ancora, dove si riscontri l’apprendimento di conoscenze sul clima, scarsa è l’attenzione a sviluppare competenze socio-emotive, di azione e partecipative per il clima. Non si sta facendo a sufficienza, si dichiara, per garantire che ciò che si apprende aiuti ad affrontare le sfide ambientali già emergenti.

47. Minecraft Education Edition como herramienta de aprendizaje en la formación de estudiantes universitarios

- Abstract
This research aims to implement the Minecraft Education Edition tool in the teaching process of university students. The study was based on the theories of Prieto (2020), Ardila (2019), De Soto (2018), Contreras and Eguia (2017), among others. The researchwas confirmatory, focused on a correlational analysis, in a quasi-experimental design. While the population was represented by 50 university students, constituting a census sample. Likewise, the instruments used in the measurement were two questionnaires with an ordinal Likert scale. The reliability analysis was carried out through Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, evidencing that both instruments have very high reliability. Regarding the results, Spearman's correlation coefficient showed a value of 0.906, demonstrating a very strong positive correlation, specifying that the implementation of the gamification tool contributed to the commitment, interest, improvement of knowledge and perception towards the math. Finally, it is concluded that the application of the Gamification tool: Minecraft Education Edition, the students in the area of Mathematics for Business Management, showed favorable results in their academic performance, this is due in large part to the commitment assumed in education. university, to the attitude of change, when considering strategies according to the current reality., Questa ricerca mira a implementare lo strumento Minecraft Education Edition nel processo di insegnamento degli studenti universitari. Lo studio si è basato sulle teorie di Prieto (2020), Ardila (2019), De Soto (2018), Contreras ed Eguia (2017), tra gli altri. La ricerca è stata confermativa, focalizzata su un'analisi correlazionale, in un disegnoquasi sperimentale. Mentre la popolazione era rappresentata da 50 studenti universitari, costituenti un campione censuario. Analogamente, gli strumenti utilizzati nella misurazione sono stati due questionari con scala Likert ordinale. L'analisi di affidabilità è stata effettuata attraverso il coefficiente Alpha di Cronbach, evidenziando che entrambi gli strumenti hanno un'affidabilità molto elevata. Per quanto riguarda i risultati, il coefficiente di correlazione di Spearman ha mostrato un valore di 0,906,dimostrando una correlazione positiva molto forte, specificando che l'implementazione dello strumento di gamification ha contribuito all'impegno, all'interesse, al miglioramento della conoscenza e della percezione verso la matematica. Infine, si conclude che l'applicazione dello strumento Gamification: Minecraft Education Edition, gli studenti nell'area della matematica per la gestione aziendale, hanno mostrato risultati favorevoli nel loro rendimento scolastico, ciò è dovuto in gran parte all'impegno assunto nell'istruzione .università, all'atteggiamento di cambiamento, nel considerare le strategie secondo la realtà attuale., La presente investigacióntiene objetivo implementar la herramienta Minecraft Education Edition en el proceso de enseñanza deestudiantesuniversitarios. La investigación fue de tipo confirmatoria,centrada en un análisis correlacional, en undiseño cuasiexperimental. Mientras la población estuvo representada por 50 estudiantes universitarios,constituyéndose como muestra censal.Asimismo, los instrumentos empleados en la medición fueron dos cuestionarios con escala Likert de tipoordinal. Elanálisis de confiabilidad se realizó a través del coeficiente Alfa de Cronbach, evidenciandoqueambos instrumentos tienenmuy altaconfiabilidad. En cuanto a los resultados, el coeficiente de correlación de Spearmanarrojó un valor de0.906,demostrando una correlación positiva muy fuerte, precisando que la implementacióndela herramientade gamificación contribuyó en el compromiso, interés, mejora de los conocimientos y la percepción hacia las matemáticas. Por último, seconcluyeque la aplicación de la herramienta Gamificación: Minecraft Education Edition, los estudiantes en el área de Matemática para la Gestión de Negocios, mostraron resultados favorables en su rendimiento académico, esto se debe en gran parte al compromiso asumido en la educación universitaria, a la actitud de cambio, al considerar estrategias acordes a la realidad actual.

La presente tesi di laurea affronta l’argomento dell’uso e delle strategie d'uso dei materiali autentici nell'apprendimento dell’italiano come lingua straniera nelle scuole elementari e superiori in Croazia. Siccome oggi giorno la qualità dell'apprendimento dipende fortemente dalla motivazione degli studenti e dalla creatività dell'insegnante i materiali autentici svolgono un ruolo fondamentale nel promuovere l'apprendimento dell'italiano. L'obiettivo della presente tesi è stato quello di esaminare vari aspetti dell'uso di tali materiali nella classe di lingua italiana come lingua straniera e l'ipotesi è stata che gli insegnanti, ovvero i partecipanti della ricerca, abbiano un atteggiamento positivo nei riguardi dei materiali autentici e che siano inclini al loro uso. Nella prima parte della tesi si stabilisce il quadro teorico con un’elaborazione delle teorie rilevanti ai materiali autentici mentre nella seconda parte viene presentata la ricerca condotta nelle scuole elementari e superiori in Croazia. I dati del sondaggio di 40 insegnanti di scuole elementari e superiori sono stati poi raccolti ed esaminati. Dall'analisi dei dati, emergono dati che confermano l'ipotesi della ricerca, ovvero che gli insegnanti abbiano un atteggiamento positivo nei riguardi dei materiali autentici e che siano inclini al loro uso. This thesis deals with the topic of the use and strategies of using authentic materials in learning Italian as a foreign language in elementary and high schools in Croatia. Since today the quality of learning strongly depends on the motivation of the students and the creativity of the teacher, authentic materials play a fundamental role in promoting the learning of Italian. The objective of this thesis was to examine various aspects of the use of such materials in the Italian language class as a foreign language and the hypothesis was that the teachers, i.e. the participants of the research, have a positive attitude towards authentic materials and that are prone to their use. In the first part of the thesis, the theoretical framework is established with an elaboration of the theories relevant to authentic materials while in the second part the research conducted in elementary and high schools in Croatia is presented. Survey data from 40 primary and high school teachers were then collected and reviewed. From the data analysis, data emerges that confirms the research hypothesis, namely that teachers have a positive attitude towards authentic materials and are inclined to use them.

Il saggio descrive criticamente alcune grandi trasformazioni dell’università contemporanea, in particolare in Italia, per storicizzare e contestualizzare l’emergenza pandemica e l’uso forzoso di nuove tecnologie digitali per l’insegnamento, nella logica di una grande sperimentazione di massa. L’obiettivo è mettere a fuoco il nesso ideologico tra una certa idea dell’insegnamento a distanza e la cosiddetta Università dell’Eccellenza, in un contesto sempre più governato dall’economia di mercato. La prima mossa è decostruire alcuni luoghi comuni e falsi assunti nella narrazione egemone sulle tecnologie digitali applicate all’insegnamento, in particolare le parole-chiave innovazione e inclusione, che alimentano la retorica del cosiddetto Ed-Tech Speak. In un secondo tempo, il saggio si interroga sulle opzioni e sulle scelte strategiche con cui resistere a queste trasformazioni e combattere il progressivo, inesorabile smantellamento dell’università pubblica italiana. This study outlines some major changes in modern universities – particularly those in Italy – and explores the pandemic crisis (and the way it forced teachers to adopt new digital tools) in a broader historical framework. In doing so, it finds that there is an ideological link between a particular concept of e-learning and the so-called University of Excellence, which is increasingly dominated by the market economy. The first step involves breaking down stereotypes and refuting false premises, in particular the keywords innovation and inclusion, in the hegemonic narrative on digital technology and education. The article then questions some choices and strategic acts to resist these transformations and to counteract the progressive and inexorable dismantling of any idea of public university in Italy. L’article décrit des transformations majeures dans l’université contemporaine, en particulier en Italie, afin d’envisager la crise pandémique (et l’évolution technologique qu’elle a imposée) dans un cadre historique plus complexe. Il y a en effet un étroit lien idéologique entre une certaine idée d’enseignement en ligne et ce que l’on appelle université de l’excellence, de plus en plus dominée par l’économie de marché. Il faut d’abord déconstruire les clichés et les fausses prémisses – en particulier les mots-clés innovation et inclusion – qui nourrissent la narration hégémonique sur la technologie numérique appliquée à l’éducation. Ensuite, il faut se demander s’il reste encore un espace d’action stratégique et de résistance contre un procès qui vise à démanteler le système de l’université publique italienne.
