Abstract

Evidence-informed practice of research can be seen as constant engagement of teachers with the research and data that schools produce locally. The following article highlights how EIP (evidencE- informed practice) is effective when it is directed at improving aspects of teaching, decision-making, leadership or ongoing professional learning. It emphasises the need for teachers to continually update their skills and knowledge to adapt to the rapid social and economic changes associated with the educational imperatives of the modern era and thus see real improvements in teaching and learning.
