The article reports that U.S. House Administration Committee Chairman Bob Ney, notified Congress on November 4 that he had received a federal grand jury subpoena for records related to the Senate Indian Affairs Committee of alleged improprieties by indicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff. The federal criminal inquiry, however, appears to be accelerating. The spotlight is now on Ney, who received sizable campaign contributions from a tribe that was an Abramoff client, and a lavish trip to Scotland in 2002 that was arranged by the lobbyist.
