This article reports that Craig Regelbrugge, a lobbyist with the American Nursery and Landscape Association, said that he was eating at an outdoor cafe recently where he overheard three women talking about illegal immigration. He said the first two were the most talkative, while the third kept silent for much of the conversation, until she revealed that she and her husband had owned a farm and cattle that were tended by illegal workers from Mexico. Regelbrugge's association is a member of the Agricultural Coalition for Immigration Reform and the Essential Worker Immigration Coalition, two business groups lobbying for comprehensive immigration overhaul.
