The article presents the heritage legacy of Gabriel Guarda Geywitz, a religious man who dedicated himself to heritage research from the fields of history, architecture, and theology. After his death in 2020, he left valuable documents, a library, and personal belongings to the Benedictine Monastery of Las Condes. His research focused on the study of space as a shaper of history, both from an architectural and urban perspective. His personal archive, which includes research, papers, and objects, has been created in the monastery and continues to grow thanks to donations from individuals. [Extracted from the article]

Minor ailment service (MAS) is a professional pharmacy service assisting patients to manage minor ailments. MAS involves a structured consultation process with protocols which delineate professional practice. INDICA+PRO is a project, started in 2017, which evaluates the impact and subsequently implementation of MAS in Spanish community pharmacies. This paper reports on the experience of implementing the service in a single pharmacy. Implementation factors (barriers and facilitators) were detected and a series of strategies were developed and used as part of the implementation program of MAS through a practice program, INDICA+PRO. The implementation strategies, such as highlighting the advantages of MAS for the pharmacy, incentives for the provision of the service and/or the distribution of tasks within the team were used to overcome barriers. Facilitators included the availability of a consultation room in the pharmacy, good relationships with nearby health centers and the provision of other professional services in the pharmacy. The advantages obtained from MAS, following the inclusion in the software (SEFAC eXPERT®) of the agreed protocols and clinical information, were improved patient follow-up, increased communication within the team and with patients, the pharmacy having a clinical history of the minor ailments and the ability of being able to prepare standardized reports. This paper aims to expose how accounting as a profession can broaden its horizon of reflection on the concept of common good based on the main postulates of the Catholic Social Teaching within its interpretive horizon, for which it is based on a qualitative methodology and a dialogic method founded on Gadamerian hermeneutics. The main contribution of this study is to propose that accounting, based on the common good from the Catholic Social Teaching, must change the paradigm, generate and communicate financial and non-financial information oriented towards all man and all men, and be oriented towards eco-nomy and eco-logy. This paper describes the main precedents of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation that refer to the study of the constitutional regularity of a norm, based on the examination of the legislative procedure from which it derived. The purpose of the article is to expose the main aspects that must be taken into account when beginning the analysis of the validity of a norm and is dedicated to lawyers who begin the exercise of the profession. Thie main objective of this paper is the conceptual study and characterization of slow journalism from an academic and professional perspective. As a methodological process, a total of 76 files have been analyzed, of which 58 correspond to publications of authors from the academic world and 18 to journalism professionals. Thie publications come from the academic world on information and journalistic quality, on digital journalism and narrative journalism, as emerging journalistic routines with potential and creative dynamics in the media sector. Thie other part of the analysis corresponds to 18 professional journalism experts. Among the most outstanding results is the preeminence of the academic world when it comes to studying the phenomenon, given that among those who practice journalism there is less production of works in this regard compared to those coming from the university environment. Also in academia there is a greater profusion of denominations to refer to the phenomenon in Spanish, although both in academia and in the journalistic profession itself the most commonly used term is the Anglo-Saxon term slow journalism. The following paper aims to analyze the legal framework of public procurement for professional services. Through legal research methods, the paper proposes a systematic analysis of the legal framework recurring to normative, jurisprudence, and doctrinal sources. It will be held that the legal definition of those contracts made in article 32.3 of Law 80/1993 is too broad and vague. It has generated many doubts about the scope of this particular kind of contract and the public procurement process applicable to them. Therefore, this article studied the legal framework of the different types of public professional services contracts: professional services on strict sense, support management and artistic works that can only be entrusted with certain people. The purpose of this paper is to articulate the reflection arising from the context of the research work, around a series of questions about the meanings of teacher training in the University setting. We are in the process of conducting a CIUNSA project linked to the specialization in the University Teaching program at the National University of Salta. We believe that this degree course reflects a trend in postgraduate training that has been gaining strength in recent years in most universities in the country. The training of professionals from different areas who choose teaching as a complementary an develop it in the University environment, presents the complexity of establishing an articulation between two different logics: that of the disciplinary fields of each profession with that of the teaching field. We will analyze aspects of the specialization in teaching delivered at our university, which aims to recover teaching practices as the axis of reflection and production of knowledge, and attempts to express that reflection through the Final Projects of the degree career. The objective of this paper is to present a brief state of the art on bibliographic production and the current situation of official translation and interpretation in Colombia. For this purpose, main theoretical, normative and practical references related to academic and marketing aspects of the activity of the translator and interpreter were collected, analyzed and then compared to those existing in the world. After this analysis, which is only a preliminary approach to the need for a conceptual, theoretical and methodological development of the profession, the importance of thinking about some theoretical and commercial initiatives that pave the way for the professionalization of this area in the country was recognized. Likewise, it was found that academic production in this field in Colombia is very incipient and, in its great majority, it has focused on topics related to status, professionalization and legislation. This paper analyses architecture semantics at the end of the Middle Ages, starting mainly with Catalonian and Valencian examples. First of all, we examine terms such as mestre d’obres, mestre de cases, and imaginaire, which are often used as synonyms. On the other hand, the study of many other less common ones, such as architect and builder, can help us to clarify a rather complex building reality. The analysis of the documents allows us to strengthen our understanding of the versatility of the medieval master builders, the prestige that some of them acquired, and the relationships that they established with other related professions. This paper is part of socio-anthropological research carried out between 2006 and 2012 on police practices in Rosario City (Argentina). Within that framework, the investigation into the training process of future police agents turned out to be key to understand concrete practices, knowledge, and values deeply rooted in the Police. We approach the recruitment and training process in Santa Fe Police --Public security institute, ISEP-- in order to establish relationships between training process and practice; arguing that the transmission of the professional practice is essential during the training process, that is to say, knowledge related to abilities, skills and ways of proceeding. Most Spanish words of Arabic origin that designate professions have disappeared. However, some are still in use, amongst which albañil or alfarero are some of the most usual. Others have been replaced by Latinisms, such as veterinario, which replaced albéitar, or by derived (barbero) or compound nouns (ropavejero) that prevail over their counterparts alfajeme and aljabibe, respectively. There are also special cases when an Arabic word is replaced by a Romance loan word (alfayate vs. sastre) or even by another Arabic word (alcaller vs. alfarero). This paper presents an analysis of the literature on choosing science courses in school and the determining factors in such choice in light of the important role that this choice plays in the present crisis in the science professions. The factors that influence this choice are personal, school-related, and extra curricular. The most important personal factors are gender and attitudes toward science and toward school science subjects; the paper analyses both attitudes and gender in particular. The quality of science education as implemented through curricula, teachers, and fairness issues are some influential school-related factors. There are many, diverse out-of-school factors. Finally, several proposals to improve the choice of science subjects are discussed, such as strengthening academic counseling in school and innovating science education by giving it a humanistic twist. The specialization of systems librarian is relatively new, especially in Latin America, where such expertise does not exist formally, but the task and the role of a systems librarian has been and is currently done by different people within and outside the library. This paper provides an introduction to systems librarians, their history, and the skills, qualities, and attitudes that are required to perform the task successfully. It also describes the role, skills required and the responsibilities inherent in this specialization. Finally, the possibilities of formal and informal education and the need for dual training, librarianship and computer science, are established. Social Work is defined as a profession which takes care within the social environment, of the individual who simultaneously experiences diverse problems and deficiencies that affect and alter his personal, group and his community's development. Therefore, the social worker is a trained professional who takes care and looks for solutions to specific problems of individuals in accordance to specific and viable goals. This way we can say that the goal of Social Work is the well-being of human beings and, of course, this includes the promotion of mental health as a means to achieve it. This paper analyzes the concept of the professions departing from Adam Smith's book "The Wealth of Nations." It discusses about the factors that affect the recognition toward different types of occupations, as well as the reasons of the inevitable emergence of professions in modern societies. Nineteenth century facts of England and the United States are considered as context for the discussion toward the professions, between contemporary analysts. Finally, challenges that globalization imposes to the professions are glimpsed, considering restrictive practices that block the flexibility, essential in the European, Asian and American economies. In order to analyse the different kinds of knowledge that teachers draw on to carry out their profession, it is necessary to expound and debate about the nature of such kinds of knowledge, despite the increasing evidence of their complexity and multi-determined nature that results from the various research studies. The purpose of this paper is to present a study carried out with university teaching trainee students. The conceptual ideas that these students have built during their university studies about the different kinds of knowledge that intervene in the teaching practice are analysed in this study. This study begins with certain concepts that guided the development of the above mentioned experience. Next, the characteristics and methodological aspects underlying the study are described. Then, the characteristics of the teaching practice as well as the different kinds of knowledge to which the teacher resorts are analysed.
