This paper is not specifically about collective agreements. It aims at showing how professional associations sometimes have, from an equidistant perspective, the ability to generate synergies and gather the necessary actors to promote positive and necessary changes for our profession and professionals. To this aim, this paper presents a real case study that accounts for the actions implemented by the Asociación Vasca de Profesionales de Archivos, Bibliotecas y Centros de Documentación ('Basque Association of Archives, Libraries and Documentation Centre Professionals') to achieve a labour agreement specific to the information management sector in its territorial scope.
