The Andalusian Association of Librarians (AAB) can be proud of its 40 years at the service of library professionals in Andalusia. This paper presents the speech given in the XXI Jornadas Bibliotecarias de Andalucía (21st Andalusian Libraries Conference) during the closing acts of the 40th anniversary. This paper is a summary of the six key aspects in which the AAB has worked, introduced by a brief historical overview and followed by an outline of its main activities: publications, training, conferences, alliances and communication.
