In recent years, with rapid development of technology of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, brain organoids, as an innovative in vitro model system, have become a hot spot in neuroscience research and drug development. Brain organoids simulate the complex structure and function of the human brain in terms of reproducing key processes of brain development in vitro, providing an unprecedented platform for understanding the mechanisms of neurological diseases and of evaluating drug efficacy and toxicity. This review summarizes the latest research progress in brain organoid technology, particularly its application in drug development and in exploring challenges and orientation of future development.

【Objective】Single-photon detection and single-photon ranging systems have widespread applications in three-dimensional imaging and long-distance spatial remote sensing. However, device limitations and background noise from the sun light limit the application to only nighttime conditions.【Methods】We have improved traditional laser radar systems by implementing all-fiber optics systems with ultra-narrowband fiber optic filtering, leading to significantly improved system stability. By implementing mechanical motion control, we are able to attain single-photon imaging systems with ultra-wide scanning and ultra-high resolution. The systems can operate in optical environments that are typically challenging, such as daytime or foggy weather. Moreover, the laser radar system is designed based on the 1 550 nm wavelength which has good atmospheric penetration and low transmission loss, enhancing its ability to work in foggy and rainy conditions.【Results】In a foggy condition with a visibility of about 500 m, the system achieves three-dimensional imaging of objects 1.6 km away, which is a distance 3 times longer than the visibility at the time. The distance resolution can be significantly enhanced by optimizing the intensity and distance information of the histogram using the minimized negative logarithmic likelihood function, with the assistance of a high-resolution time/digital converter and the model constructed by the system response function of the laser radar. Compared to the maximum value method with a distance resolution of 0.05 m, this system achieves a distance resolution of 0.006 m via the minimized negative logarithmic likelihood function method. Additionally, the image normalization processing is performed to suppress fluctuations in photon technology and eliminate noise in the image. The 1 550 nm all-fiber laser radar system has strong mechanical stability and can work in adverse weather conditions.【Conclusion】It has significant application value in remote sensing and mapping, ground and vehicle-mounted laser radar, and other fields.

To solve the problem of poor stability of additive flame retardant waterborne polyurethane， a series of waterborne polyurethane with flame retardant properties was synthesized by prepolymer method using aliphatic polyisocyanate， polyether polyol， and flame retardant phosphorus-containing polyol as raw materials. The flame retardant waterborne polyurethane was applied to the dipping process of microfiber synthetic leather base （microfiber base）. Its effects on the mechanics， quality， flame retardant， and thermal decomposition properties of microfiber base were discussed. The results show that with the increase of phosphorus-containing flame retardant polyol content， the combustion rate decreases from 115.00 mm/min to 60.79 mm/min， and the limiting oxygen index increases from 21.00% to 24.20%. After different concentrations of phosphorus-nitrogen flame retardants were sprayed on the surface of microfiber base， microfiber base appears self-extinguishing phenomenon during combustion， and the limiting oxygen index increases to 27.00%. Compared with the microfiber base without flame retardant treatment，the peak heat release rate and total heat release rate of the microfiber base after flame retardant treatment are reduced by 42.29% and 20.01%， respectively. The test analyses of SEM and Raman spectroscopy reveal that the graphitization degree of the carbon layer is improved and the surface structure becomes more compact after flame retardant finishing， suggesting that the flame retardant plays a crucial role by using the condensed phase flame retardant mechanism.

Objective During inspection, problems like the bad pantograph and catenary relation, pantograph-catenary arcing on the main line, burning points and serious wear on the pantograph carbon strip are detected since the trial operation of Luoyang Metro Line 1. In order to solve the abnormal wear of pantograph carbon strip, it is necessary to study the causes and put forward solutions. Method The influence of the technical performance of the pantograph catenary, carbon strip material, the pantograph catenary grinding, contact pressure, external climate environment temperature and humidity on the pantograph catenary wear is mainly discussed. The influencing factors and the pattern of the pantograph catenary abnormal wear is examined. Result & Conclusion The research results show that the pantograph carbon strip wear on Luoyang Metro Line 1 is of central partial wear type. In order to solve such wear problems, targeted treatment measures and prevention suggestions are proposed, including establishing special accounts for catenary and pantograph, drawing on experiences of the peers in dealing with abnormal wear of the pantograph catenary, optimizing the maintenance mode according to the wear condition of the pantograph catenary, and making full use of information testing equipment such as the pantograph catenary inspection shed to improve the efficiency of monitoring and adjusting the technical parameters for pantograph catenary.

Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) is a promising metal additive manufacturing technology based on layer by layer powder spreading, and powder bed uniformity has a great influence on the forming quality. By Discrete Element Method and powder spreading experiment, the interaction and movement between powder were studied during powder spreading, including powder jamming, rebound, splash, eddy, and empty powder area. Additionally, five kinds of powder spreading schemes were explored, and the new process of one-way reciprocating with tri-splint blade was designed to change the motion state of powder spreading from “blade pushing powder” to “blade holding powder.” By increasing the distance between the blade and the working platform form 0 to 20 µm with the distance between the upper surface of the substrate and the working platform 50 µm, defects such as powder splash and empty powder decreased. And the uniform powder bed of aluminum alloy powder was achieved with the new process of one-way reciprocating with tri-splint blade structure.

Scientific fertilization is an important technical means of achieving high and stable peanut yields. Using soil testing and formula fertilization, the “3414” optimal regression design was used and included 14 nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) fertilization treatments. Ternary quadratic functions of the fertilizer effect were established according to three-season field experiments and the regression analysis of fertilizer–yield function was performed to explore the optimal fertilizer application mode and ratio for peanuts under mulched drip irrigation (MDI), and a suitable fertilizer application system was established. The ternary quadratic equation relating peanut yield (y) and the fertilizer application rates of N (N), P (P2O5), and K (K2O) was obtained after fitting, i.e., y = 2912.528 + 21.432N + 16.324P + 6.181K − 0.051N2 − 0.109P2 − 0.061K2 + 0.017NP + 0.023NK + 0.086PK, and significance analysis and typicality assessment were performed. The model R 2 was 0.9709, both values are extremely significant (p < 0.01), which indicates that the obtained ternary quadratic fertilizer effect function is typical and could be used for statistical purposes and fertilization recommendations. Three quadratic fertilizer effect functions were obtained. Among them, the equation for K is extremely significant, and the equations of N and P are significant. According to the assumption that the marginal yield is zero and the marginal profit is zero, the fertilizer application rate with the maximum yield, the fertilizer application rate with the best economic benefits, and the corresponding yields were obtained. The optimal fertilizer application rate predicted by the ternary quadratic fertilizer effect function was relatively high, so the three quadratic fertilizer effect functions were used for prediction. Under the test conditions, the recommended fertilizer application rates for peanuts under MDI are 256.6 kg N per ha, 164.2 kg P2O5 per ha, and 213.2 kg K2O per ha, the recommended fertilization ratio is 1:0.64:0.83, and the recommended ratio under formula fertilization is 23:15:19. The study has developed a data-based decision support system for Xinjiang drip-irrigated peanut, which assists farmers and agricultural managers in making more scientific and precise fertilization decisions based on the specific growth requirements of the crops and soil conditions. This evidence-based methodology enhances the precision of agricultural management, which is conducive to increasing crop yields while reducing resource wastage and environmental impact. However, multipoint and multiyear experiments are still needed to ensure that the findings are adaptable to the diverse soil conditions and fluctuating climate patterns that may be encountered in practice.

Patients diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) have a limited lifespan and exhibit poor immunotherapy outcomes. M1 macrophages have been found to be essential for antitumor immunity. This study aims to develop an immunotherapy response evaluation model for NSCLC patients based on transcription. RNA sequencing profiles of 254 advanced-stage NSCLC patients treated with immunotherapy are downloaded from the POPLAR and OAK projects. Immune cell infiltration in NSCLC patients is examined, and thereafter, different coexpressed genes are identified. Next, the impact of M1 macrophage-related genes on the prognosis of NSCLC patients is investigated. Six M1 macrophage coexpressed genes, namely, NKX2-1, CD8A , SFTA3, IL2RB, IDO1, and CXCL9, exhibit a strong association with the prognosis of NSCLC and serve as effective predictors for immunotherapy response. A response model is constructed using a Cox regression model and Lasso Cox regression analysis. The M1 genes are validated in our TD-FOREKNOW NSCLC clinical trial by RT-qPCR. The response model shows excellent immunotherapy response prediction and prognosis evaluation value in advanced-stage NSCLC. This model can effectively predict advanced NSCLC prognosis and aid in identifying patients who could benefit from customized immunotherapy as well as sensitive drugs.

To ensure optimal energy conservation and economic benefits in the design of prefabricated high-efficiency refrigeration room, an optimization method to achieve the lowest life cycle cost by studying the layout of refrigeration room and unit matching method was proposed. The number of chiller units under the same cooling load, the placement of chiller units, the placement of cooling (freezing) pump, the chiller inlet and outlet location, the connection Angle between the inlet and outlet of the equipment and the branch pipe, and the corresponding relationship between the unit and the pump were taken as the influencing factors of the whole life cycle costs, and the cooling load 1100RT is taken as an example. The results show that at 1100RT, two chillers are used, the units are placed on the lateral side, the inlet and outlet of the unit's freezing end and cooling end are located at both ends of the fuselage, the unit and the pump correspond one by one, and the freezing and cooling pumps are located on both sides of the unit. The solution that the equipment is connected to the pipeline at 90° is the best one, and the corresponding relationship between the unit and the pump is the main factor affecting the whole life cycle costs. The second is the connection Angle between the inlet and outlet of the equipment and the branch pipe. Although the 60° connection can improve the hydraulic condition, it increases the room area and initial investment costs by 35% compared with the 90° connection mode.

In order to improve the utilization value of recycled materials, the study considers recycled materials such as polyester/nylon/spandex as raw materials. Using polyester/polyamide/spandex as raw materials, the recycled polyester/polyamide/spandex mixed materials were first pretreated to obtain the pretreated mixed materials. Then, the pretreated mixed materials were evenly mixed with hydrogenated petroleum resin. The composite materials were prepared through extrusion and injection molding. By comparing the mechanical properties, the effects of different hydrogenated petroleum resins and their additives on the tensile strength, bending strength, impact strength, elongation at break, and bending modulus of the composites were investigated. And the microstructure of the fracture surface was characterized by scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that: (a) when the addition amount of hydrogenated C5 petroleum resin was 4.5%, the maximum impact strength and fracture elongation were 18.03 kJ/m2 and 15.92%, respectively. (b) The maximum tensile strength, bending strength, and bending modulus could reach 22.9, 38.72, and 2217.9 MPa, when the addition amount of hydrogenated C9 petroleum resin was 4.5, 29.5, and 39.5%, respectively.

Abstract Background Clinical studies have shown that first-line use of anti-angiogenetic therapy can prolong progression-free survival but little progress has been made in extending the overall survival of the patients. We explored the role of ELK3 in glioma angiogenesis to improve and design more efficacious therapies. Methods A tissue microarray and immunohistochemistry analysis were used to determine the expression of ELK3 protein in 400 glioma patients. Cell proliferation, metastasis, cell cycle, and apoptosis were monitored in U87 and U251 cells using CCK-8, EdU, transwell assays, and flow cytometry. A tube-formation assay, a rat aorta ring sprouting assay, and a matrigel plug assay were performed to examine the antiangiogenic activity of ELK3. An ELISA, Western blot, and correlation analysis of the CGGA dataset were used to detect the association between ELK3 and VEGF-A or ELK3 and HIF-1 $$\alpha$$ α . Besides, orthotopic transplantation in nude mice and histopathological and immunological analysis of in vitro tumors were used to explore the effect of ELK3 on tumor progression and median survival. Results ELK3 was upregulated in glioma tissues and associated with a poor prognosis. In vitro, ELK3 promoted cell proliferation and cell cycle progression, induced metastasis, and suppressed apoptosis. Then, silencing ELK3 inhibited VEGF-A expression and secretion by facilitating HIF-1 $$\alpha$$ α degradation via ubiquitination. Finally, knockdown ELK3 inhibited tumor progression and angiogenesis in vitro and in vivo, as well as prolonged nude mice’s median survival. Conclusions Our findings first evidenced that ELK3 is crucial for glioma because it promotes angiogenesis by activating the HIF-1 $$\alpha$$ α /VEGF-A signaling axis. Therefore, we suggest that ELK3 is a prognostic marker with a great potential for glioma angiogenesis and ELK3-targeted therapeutic strategies might hold promise in improving the efficacy of anti-angiogenic therapies.

The effective and efficient refractive index of a multilayer optical waveguide is computed by taking into account the various order modes of the waveguide, such as the Quasi-Transverse Electric/Transverse Magnetic (Quasi-TE/TM) mode. According to the effective refractive index method, the effective refractive index of the Quasi-TE/TM mode is calculated from the electromagnetic field curve distribution calculated for each mode in the 6-layer loss optical waveguide compute the effective refractive index each order of TE/TM mdes. Further, we analyze the dependence of the waveguide properties on the structure. We conclude that the mode effective refractive index and mode order do not decrease monotonicallythe lossy waveguide mode is more prevalent. The research work in this paper can be used as the theoretical basis for the design, fabrication and application of practical optical waveguide devices.

Objective To analyze the sex hormonal therapy present status in patients with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) and to provide guidance for the future sex hormone application. Methods Pubertal development, abnormal behavior, bone mineral density, sex hormone treatment and parents' attitude to sex hormone application were analyzed by a self-designed questionnaire. Results A total of 41 PWS patients were included (21 males and 20 females) and the median age was 15 years old (13-24 years). For boys, all had cryptorchidism, of which 6 patients (28.6%) had no pubertal development. None of the patients were receiving additional androgen therapy. For girls, 13 (65%) had primary amenorrhea. Only 2 patients had received or was continuing estrogen replacement therapy. Considering the inconveniences of drug application and other reasons, 16 cases (39%) of parents were unwilling to undergo sex hormone therapy. Conclusions Almost all patients with PWS are hypogonadism. Lack of medical recommendations and limited knowledge on sex hormones for their parents, may contribute to low prevalence of sex hormone therapy in this population.

Abstract: Synthetic N-heterocyclic compounds, such as quinoxalines, have shown a crucial role in pharmaceutical as well as food and dye industries. However, the traditional synthesis toward N-heterocycles relies on multistep energy and cost-intensive non-sustainable processes. Here, we report a facile approach that allows one-step conversion of biomass-derived carbohydrates to valuable quinoxalines in the presence of aryl-1,2-diamines in water without any harmful metal catalysts/organic solvents via spontaneously engineering involved cascade reactions under hydrothermal conditions. Aryl-1,2-diamines are revealed as the key to propel this transformation through boosting carbohydrate fragmentation into small 1,2-dicarbonyl intermediates and subsequently trapping them for constituting stable quinoxaline scaffolds therefore avoiding a myriad of undesired side reactions. The tunability of product selectivity can be also achievable by adjusting the basicity of the reaction environment. Neutrophils are more innate immune cells found in coronavirus disease in 2019(COVID-19). The accounting of neutrophils and the level of plasma neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs) were positively correlated with the severity of COVID-19. This article reviews the relevant studies of neutrophils, formation and degradation of NETs involved in the pathological process of COVID-19, providing the reference for further studies of pathogenesis and intervention.

In order to construct a constitutive model that reasonably describes the changing relationship of flow stress of 440C stainless steel, quasi-static and dynamic compression experiments were carried out with the help of a universal testing machine and a Hopkinson compression bar device. Based on the obtained experimental data, the parameters of the original J-C constitutive model were calibrated, and its applicability and prediction accuracy for describing the stress-flow behavior of the studied materials were discussed. Based on the analysis results, a modified J-C constitutive model considering the coupling among strain, strain rate and temperature was proposed, and the model parameters were calibrated. The experimental data and the model predicted value were compared and analyzed, and the validity of the proposed model was evaluated by three statistical parameters: correlation coefficient R, average relative error AARE and root mean square deviation RMSE. The results show that the dynamic mechanical behavior of 440C stainless steel is jointly dominated by the coupling between strain, strain rate and temperature. The correlation coefficient R of the proposed modified J-C constitutive model is 0.995 9, the average relative error AARE is 0.073, and the root mean square deviation RMSE is 0.761 8, which can reasonably describe its stress flow behavior.

Fabry disease is an X-linked lysosomal storage disease, and its pathogenesis is the deficient of α-galactosidase A (α-Gal A) activity caused by GLA mutation, which leads to accumulation of the glycosphingolipid globotriaosylceramide (Gb-3) and other glycosphingolipids in the lysosome of cells, resulting in the dysfunction of relevant tissues and organs. We report the clinical characteristics of a case of Fabry disease with dermatomyositis. The patient, a 61-year-old male, presented with intermittent amaurosis, limb weakness and dyspnea on exertion. Based on the low α-Gal A activity and positive anti-myositis antibodies, diagnosis of Fabry disease with dermatomyositis were confirmed. We reviewed the relevant literature and found that co-existence of Fabry disease and autoimmune diseases was very rare, but it is not rare for patients with Fabry disease to have some autoimmune antibody positive, suggesting that Fabry disease and autoimmune diseases may be related in pathogenesis.

Based on the crow search algorithm（CSA）, by the adaptive crow search algorithm（ACSA） the adaptive value strategy of sensing probability and flight distance, which effectively enhanced the performance of the algorithm is designed. In view of the fact that the selection of deep belief network（DBN） model parameters has great influence on the engine fault diagnosis results, ACSA is used to optimize the selection of its model parameters, and an engine fault diagnosis method based on DBN improved by ACSA is proposed. The Engine fault diagnosis example results show that the ACSA algorithm can obtain better DBN model parameters, and obtain higher engine fault diagnosis accuracy in less time than other methods.

Aims: (1) Quantitatively characterize the Pseudo Fibrosis Burden (PFB) of Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Trabecular Musculi Pectinati (TMP) in patients with atrial fibrillation based on histological analysis; (2) Explore the passive dynamic properties of LAA TMP based on uniaxial tensile experiments and determine the hyperelastic constitutive parameters; (3) Explore samples Effects of different storage conditions on the mechanical properties of left atrial appendage TMP. Methods: Fifty TMP were isolated from the resected LAAs of 21 patients with atrial fibrillation and stored (23 strips in the -78°C cryopreservation group and 27 strips in the 4°C normal temperature storage group). The TMP stress-strain curve was obtained through uniaxial tension. According to this curve, the elastic modulus of the low strain zone (EMLS) and the high strain zone (EMHS) were respectively defined. The correlation between the TMP’s diameter and its mechanical properties and the impact of storage temperature on TMP mechanics were analyzed. Four strain energy functions were used to fit the TMP stress-strain curve to obtain the hyperelastic model constitutive parameters. Histological analysis of the axial and transverse microstructure of TMP was performed using Verhoeff-Van Gieson double staining method of Elastic fibers and collagen fibers (EVG) and Masson staining respectively, and the Pseudo Fiber Burden (PFB) was calculated. It is of great importance to establish the One Pipeline Network(OPN) to implement the national oil and gas system reform and the new national energy security strategy, as well as to build a unified national market. Herein, the pain spots faced by the construction and operation of oil and gas infrastructures were summarized by studying the 14th Five Year Plan for modern energy system issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration in 2022. Meanwhile, the definition and connotation of OPN was proposed by referring to the practical experience in construction of intelligent power grid of the State Grid and Alibaba Cloud's industrial brain for digital transformation of enterprises. Thereby, it was recommended to establish the market prediction and analysis model of oil and gas resources, the natural gas logistics balance and optimization model, the analysis and optimization model of natural gas pipeline hydraulic system, the value evaluation model, the geographic information system and the network layout methodology for OPN, so as to realize the co-construction and sharing of relevant data, algorithm and computing power in OPN, promote the establishment of OPN, and achieve the reform goal of building a unified national oil and gas market.(1 Figure, 20 References)

BACKGROUND The quality of soil is directly related to human health and the safety of agricultural products, which has important references for agricultural planting and land planning. As an important vegetable basket base in Chengdu, Tangchang Town has developed agricultural planting, but the recent soil quality in the region is still unclear. OBJECTIVES In order to accurately understand the current content of nutrient and heavy metal elemental characteristics and soil quality grade of topsoil in the Tangchang agricultural planting area. METHODS According to 1∶50000 soil quality geochemical survey, 810 topsoil samples were collected. The contents of N, P, K, As, Cd, Hg, Pb, Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn, Se and pH in these soil samples were determined by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry, atomic fluorescence spectrometry, element analyzer and ion selective electrode method. The element geochemical characteristics and soil nutrient grade, soil environmental quality grade and comprehensive soil geochemical grade were then evaluated. RESULTS (1) Compared with the general topsoil in China, Zn and Pb in the topsoil of the study area are slightly enriched, Se is relatively enriched, N, P, Cd and Hg are strongly enriched. The topsoil is generally weakly acidic. (2) The comprehensive grade of soil nutrients is rich in second grade, accounting for 88.0% of the area, and the soil fertility is rich. The proportion of the first grade soil area in the environmental quality grade of the eight heavy metal elements in the soil is more than 96.0%, and the comprehensive environmental quality grade is dominated by first grade clean type, accounting for 98.06%. The comprehensive quality of soil is mainly grade one, accounting for 85.85%. (3) The area of selenium-rich soil in the region is 2.49km2, accounting for 3.7%, sporadically distributed in the central study area. Copper-rich soil area is 63.13km2, accounting for 94.0%, and zinc-rich soil area is 63.31km2, accounting for 94.17%. CONCLUSIONS In summary, the nutrients of topsoil in Tangchang Town are rich, the soil environment is clean and the comprehensive quality of the soil is high.

Objective To investigate the influencing factors of postoperative meningioma recurrence. Methods A total of 176 patients with meningioma treated in Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University from May 2010 to January 2011 were included. The general information, imaging findings, extent of tumor resection and postoperative pathological results were analyzed. Kaplan⁃Meier survival curve comparison and Log⁃rank test were used to compare the related influencing factors of meningioma recurrence. Multifactor Cox's proportional hazards regression model was used for survival analysis. Results The median progression free survival (PFS) of patients with preoperative Karnofsky Performance Status (KPS)＜70 was lower than that with KPS≥70 [(8.04±1.98) years vs. (8.08±1.18) years; χ2=5.370, P=0.020]. The median PFS of patients with peritumoral edema grade 2-3 was lower than that with peritumoral edema grade 0-1 [(8.05±1.79) years vs. (8.06±1.09) years; χ2=9.805, P=0.002]. The median PFS of patients with dural mater invasion was lower than that without dural mater invasion [(7.97±1.70) years vs. (8.06±1.09) years; χ2=12.357, P=0.000]. The median PFS of patients with WHO grade 2-3 was lower than that with WHO grade 1 [(5.14±2.07) years vs. (8.12±0.87) years; χ2=113.774, P=0.000]. Multivariate Cox's proportional hazards regression model showed that WHO grade 2-3 could increase the risk of postoperative meningioma recurrence (RR=15.693, 95%CI: 5.905-41.707; P=0.000). Conclusions The preoperative KPS score, peritumoral edema, dura mater invasion and WHO grade may affect the recurrence of meningioma, and WHO grade 2-3 can increase the risk of meningioma recurrence.

Given the high carbon emission level of the industrial park integrated energy system， a low-carbon economic dispatch model of the integrated energy system considering the time-varying carbon emission factor is proposed. Firstly， to improve the carbon emission model of the whole process of electric energy production， the carbon emission characteristics of tie-line and energy storage charging and discharging are studied. Secondly， the low-carbon potential of load-side dispatchable resources is explored， and a dispatch model of load-side dispatchable resources under the incentive of price signals and time-varying carbon emission factor curve is constructed； a low-carbon economic dispatch model of the industrial park integrated energy system considering the time-varying carbon emission factor curve is constructed to optimize the system operation with the objective of minimum operation cost and carbon emission. The simulation results show that the low-carbon economic dispatch model can effectively reduce the carbon emission level of the system and reduce the total operation cost of industrial park.

Abstract Edible mushrooms have now been suggested as promising sources of biological functional ingredients and are the subject of the most recent nutrition research and novel functional foods. Polysaccharides from mushrooms exhibit impressive biological effects, notably against obesity. Obesity is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by chronic inflammation, gut dysbiosis, and hyperpermeability of the colon. Here, we prove that mushrooms Morchella esculenta polysaccharide (MEP) effects on HFD-induced obesity, colonic inflammation, and gut microbiota dysbiosis. Our findings demonstrate MEP supplementation attenuates obesity parameters and reduces inflammation in the colon via regulation of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), and inactivation of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB). Furthermore, MEP administration restores gut microbiota dysregulation by ameliorating Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes proportion as well as enhancing beneficial bacteria, like Lactobacillus, and inhibiting pathogenic bacteria like Enterococcus. MEP improves gut integrity by increasing tight junction proteins (TJs) and reducing endotoxin levels by controlling Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in HFD-induced obese mice. These results demonstrated the therapeutic efficacy of MEP in attenuating HFD-induced obesity via regulating inflammatory cascades, ameliorating the gut microbiome, and modulating gut integrity.

In order to solve the problem of target ID switching caused by target occlusion and insufficient ID information and location information extraction in JDE(joint detection and embedding) algorithm, an improved multi-target tracking algorithm based on JDE is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the SPA feature space pyramid attention module is used to expand the receptive field and obtain more abundant semantic information to improve the detection accuracy of the model for different scale targets. Secondly, the FCN network makes the header and ID Embedding task collaborative learning to alleviate the excessive competition and enhance the original semantic information, effectively reducing the number of ID switching. Finally, PCCs-Ma motion measurement can strengthen the connection between Kalman filtering prediction and observation, and improve the reliability of similarity discrimination of motion characteristics. In order to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm, the JDE algorithm and the proposed algorithm are compared in the same experimental environment. The experimental results show that the average accuracy of model detection is improved by 3.94 %. On the MOT16 dataset, the MOTA and IDF1 indexes are increased by 6.9 %, and the number of ID switching of the improved algorithm is significantly reduced, and good tracking results are achieved.

BACKGROUND Selenium is one of the essential trace elements for humans. Eating agricultural products containing selenium is an important way for humans to obtain selenium. It is of great significance for the utilization of selenium-enriched soil resources and the development of selenium-enriched agricultural products to investigate the content characteristics of soil selenium, delimit selenium-enriched soil areas, and determine the influencing factors of soil selenium spatial distribution, migration and enrichment. OBJECTIVES To discuss the content, distribution characteristics and influencing factors of soil selenium in the study area. METHODS Tangchang Town in the Pidu District of Chengdu City was chosen as the study area. 788 surface soil samples (0-20cm) and 46 profile soil samples (100-150cm) were collected. The pH values and contents of Se, As, Hg, Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Cr, CD, TP, TK, TN and TOC in soil were determined by AFS, XRF and ICP-MS/OES. Geostatistical analysis, variance analysis, correlation analysis and geographic detectors were applied to systematically determine the content, distribution characteristics and influencing factors of soil selenium. RESULTS (1) Results showed that surface soil selenium content of Tangchang Town ranged from 0.082 to 1.10mg/kg, with an arithmetic mean value of 0.337mg/kg, which was 1.47, 4.02 and 1.16 times the average Se content of soil in Chengdu, Sichuan and China, respectively. (2) The Se-sufficient and Se-enriched topsoil reached 99.2% of Tangchang Town. In the profile soil samples, the soil selenium content decreased with increasing depth. In the spatial distribution, high selenium concentrate areas generally showed a northwest zonal distribution trend in Zhanqi Village, Baimu Village, Dayun Village, and Zhulin Village. (3) Correlation analysis showed that lead, chromium, nickel, cadmium, mercury, arsenic, total potassium, total nitrogen, pH, TOC and altitude were factors affecting spatial distribution variability of the soil selenium but varied in extent (P < 0.01). (4) The factor detection showed that TOC was the highest in the effect, explaining 0.29 of the variability, followed by Zn, which was 0.18, and the third was Cd, which was 0.16. Interaction detection showed the interpretation degree of the interaction between soil TOC and 17 influencing factors was more than 0.30, which was the dominant factor of spatial differentiation of selenium in topsoil. CONCLUSIONS The town is characterized by selenium-enriched soil resources; it is suggested to organically combine the selenium-enriched area with the characteristic industries of chives in Tangyuan to build an ecological chain of selenium-enriched industry, and further carry out collaborative analysis on the influencing factors of selenium migration and enrichment in soil crops.

Aerospace integrated circuits represent core components of space electronic systems, and anti-radiation hardening is a key technology to ensure the reliable operation of aerospace integrated circuits in the space domain. As the feature sizes of integrated circuits shrink to the nanometer scale, the single-event effect gradually becomes the most critical factor limiting the radiation-hardened performance level of aerospace integrated circuits. In this study, radiation hardened by design is utilized as a method to develop radiation-hardened performance. Based on single-event radiation tests on a heavy ion accelerator, new methods are proposed for the single-event test evaluation of new processes and devices. Consequently, new technique development and radiation effect law research are also undertaken. The effectiveness of the design hardening technology is evaluated, and a single-event radiation damage mechanism is discovered. The proposed technology provides key support for the production of high-reliability and long-lifetime aerospace integrated circuit products.

To indicate the dynamic characteristics of hypersonic aircraft gliding in the whole atmosphere, a calculation model of section stiffness considering thermal protection system(TPS) and ablation effects is proposed. Firstly, the section stiffness model with three-layer combination is put forward, which include the inside main backbone, the in-between original layer of TPS, and the outmost ablative layer of TPS. Secondly, based on the linear superposition principle, the calculation methods of each layer and total section stiffness parameters are given. At last, the analysis strategy of the hypersonic aircraft’s dynamic characteristics is given for actual use.

BackgroundSichuan Radiation Environmental Management and Monitoring Center participated in the radiation environmental monitoring quality assessment organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment in 2020. Two total radioactivity standards prepared by Eckert & Zigler Analytics Corporation were used for test samples in this assessment.PurposeThis study aims to establish an indirect method for the estimation of total α or total β activities in the test samples based on HPGe spectrometer, and to provide some useful references for the application of this method in the analysis of aerosol total radioactivity.MethodsThe low background BE6530 HPGe spectrometer produced by Canberra (US) was used to identify nuclides of test samples and to collect their γ spectra data. Laboratory sourceless calibration software (LabSOCS) was used to calibrate the efficiency of the HPGe spectrometer. A γ-rays standard sample with multiple nuclides in an aerosol filter membrane and a self-made reference sample in an aerosol filter membrane were applied to confirm the reliability of the method established in this work.ResultsA formula is derived for the estimation of total α or total β activities by γ spectra data. The measurement results and uncertainties of total α and total β activities in the two test samples are 61.2 Bq and 73.2 Bq, 6.6% (k=2) and 3.6% (k=2), respectively. The results are all qualified after the Z-score evaluation. In addition, the parameter setting in LabSOCS, background deduction of γ spectra, γ peak selection and γ cascade radiation correction are discussed, which provides a useful reference for the application of this method in the total radioactivity analysis.ConclusionsThe indirect method established in this work has a good accuracy and can be applied in the analysis of aerosol total radioactivity.

Objective To explore the expression, clinical significance and molecular mechanism of miR-3934-5p in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods HCC tissues and adjacent normal tissues were collected from 53 HCC patients diagnosed in our hospital from September 2013 to August 2014. Real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) was performed to detect the level of miR-3934-5p in the above tissues and human liver cell line L02 and HCC cell lines. The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database was used to analyze the expression of miR-3934-5p in normal liver tissues and HCC tissues; Chi-square test with Kaplan-Meier survival curve were applied to analyze the correlation of miR-3934-5p and clinicopathological characteristics and survival prognosis; RT-qPCR and Western blotting were adopted to detect transfection efficiency; CCK-8 assay, colony formation assay and EdU assay were employed respectively to evaluate the activity and proliferation of HCCLM3 cells; Spearman correlation analysis was applied to study the correlation between LACTB mRNA and miR-3934-5p expression in HCC tissues; TargetScan database was used to predict the downstream target genes of miR-3934-5p, and the prediction results was verified by luciferase reporter assay. Results MiR-3934-5p was highly expressed in the liver cancer tissues and cells (P < 0.05), and its high expression was significantly correlated with tumor size (P=0.040), tumor multiplicity (P=0.013), vascular invasion (P=0.006), and TNM stage (P=0.017); Compared to the low miR-3934-5p expression group, the HCC patients with high expression had poorer survival prognosis. CCK-8 assay, colony formation assay and EdU assay confirmed that knocking down miR-3934-5p notably inhibited the proliferation of HCCLM3 cells (P < 0.05). LACTB had been proved to be the direct target of miR-3934-5p, and mediated the biological effect of miR-3934-5p on HCC cells. Conclusion MiR-3934-5p promotes the proliferation of HCC cells by targeting tumor suppressor gene LACTB.

Laser driven flyer (LDF) can drive small particles to ultrahigh speed (several km/s) by feeding pulse laser light, and exhibits giant application prospect in both of the civilian and military regions, such as the ignition of missile and spacecraft and dynamic high-pressure loading. In this work, we demonstrate a high-performance LDF by using the perfect metamaterial absorber (PMA) to improve the energy utilization efficiency of light. The designed Ag nanopillar array in anodic aluminum oxide templates (APA-AAO) were skillfully fabricated in-situ on the flyer layer surface, which can greatly reduce the reflectivity from 93% of the pure Al foil flyers to about 5% of the APA-AAO enhanced flyers. Our systematically transient analysis reveals that this ultralow reflectivity, together with the well-formed metal structure on Al foil, greatly improve both of the electron temperature and sustaining time of plasma formed in the ablating layer, and further enhances the acceleration process at both of the initial detonation wave generation stage (0–10 ns) and the following thermal expansion stage (10–200 ns). The final speed of the flyer generated in the PMA-enhanced LDF approach to 1730 m/s, which is about 1.4 times larger than that (1250 m/s) of the pure Al foil flyers. The transient electron temperature, transient flyer shadowgraph, plasma sustaining time, velocity, and accelerated velocity have been investigated systematically in this work. This PMA enhanced LDF provides an effective method for obtaining high-speed microparticles, and opens up a new perspective and guidance for designing high-performance LDF.

Osteosarcoma is the most common type of primary malignant tumor of the bone, with a high metastatic rate and poor prognosis. Therefore, it is important to further elucidate the molecular mechanisms involved in the development of osteosarcoma and explore new molecular therapeutic targets. Long intergenic nonprotein-coding RNA 707 (LINC00707) is an oncogenic gene in several cancers. In this study, we further clarified its role and regulatory mechanism in osteosarcoma. We found that LINC00707 levels are significantly higher in the osteosarcoma cell lines SW 1353, HOS, U-2 OS, MG-63, and Saos-2 compared to those in human fetal osteoblastic cell line hFOB1.19. LINC00707 silencing suppressed cell proliferation, migration, and invasion of MG-63 and Saos-2 cells. Moreover, LINC00707 can act as a competitive endogenous RNA of miR-338-3p, and miR-338-3p inhibitor and AHSA1 overexpression alleviated the effect of LINC00707 silencing. In conclusion, we demonstrated high expression of LINC00707 in osteosarcoma cell lines and that silencing LINC00707 suppresses cell proliferation, migration, and invasion by targeting the miR-338-3p/AHSA1 axis in MG-63 and Saos-2 cells. These findings suggest that LINC00707 may serve as a potential target for osteosarcoma treatment.
