Summary: Food processing is seen as a double‐edged sword. It is argued to have helped to provide a stable and safe food supply to urbanised societies, however with NOVA definition of ultra‐processed foods it has now been linked to disease. Food science and technology has arguably been a major contributor to both. These potential harms are not a deliberate act, they simply meet the legal and market obligations placed on food businesses to be successful. So how food science and technology be pivoted back to improve health needs exploration, which will need to be consider within other issues including sustainability. Additionally, the increasing demand for plant‐based meat alternatives and the role of fortification along with sustainable packaging and logistics to either enhance the physical properties and nutritional value of foods alongside minimising the need to process to transport them from farm to plate are further challenges. Finally, it will be considered how our food system might be supported to go through its next scientific and technological revolution to deliver a food environment and supply that has its primary objective of supporting human and planetary health, but in a way that is economically successful for all members of society. The emergence of ChatGPT has significantly impacted the field of education. While much of the existing research has predominantly examined the theoretical implications of ChatGPT, there is a notable absence of empirical studies substantiating these claims. As pivotal stakeholders in education and primary users of ChatGPT, exploring the willingness and influencing factors of higher education students to use ChatGPT can offer valuable insights into the real-world needs of student users. This, in turn, can serve as a foundation for empowering education with intelligent technologies in the future. This study focuses specifically on the demographic of students in Chinese higher education who have utilized ChatGPT. Using semi-structured interviews and grounded theory methodology, we aim to comprehensively understand the extent to which students embrace new technologies. Our objective is to elucidate the behavioral inclinations and influencing factors of student users. The findings of this study will contribute practical insights for refining policy frameworks, expanding the dissemination of quality resources, optimizing and upgrading products for an enhanced user experience, and fostering higher-order thinking skills to adeptly navigate evolving technological landscapes. Against the backdrop of the fourth technological revolution, industrial intelligence (INDI) represented by industrial robots has rapidly developed. This evolution provides favorable opportunities for precise decision-making in pollution control and achieving China's "dual carbon" goals. Previous studies have mainly discussed the economic effects of INDI from the perspective of the labor market. This study shifts its focus to examining the impact of INDI on the land green utilization efficiency (LGUE) in cities. Using the panel data of Chinese cities spanning 2009–2021, this study empirically tests the effect and transmission mechanism of INDI on LGUE. We find that urban INDI significantly enhances LGUE. In terms of its transmission mechanism, INDI drives improvements in urban LGUE through technological progress, energy structure optimization, and industrial structure upgrading. Urban infrastructure construction and financial agglomeration level can further strengthen the positive impact of INDI on LGUE. In addition, the improvement in LGUE due to INDI is more significant in non-resource-based and large-sized cities than resource-based and small and medium-sized cities. Therefore, each region should enhance the integration of intelligent technology with traditional industrial manufacturing. Doing so is essential to establish comprehensive assessment indicators that balance environmental protection and economic growth, strengthen regional information infrastructure construction, ensure steady financial flow, and support green development initiatives across regions. The discussion highlights that the core objective of Focused Beam Additive Manufacturing (FBAM) is to control the solidification process, ensuring the production of sound and reliable components on the first attempt. Despite being a multidisciplinary technology, all relevant disciplines converge on achieving a flawless melting and solidification process. This involves precise modulation of energy sources, effective powder management, motion control systems, and temperature/environment regulation, all aimed at producing microstructurally and geometrically flawless components. We are in the midst of a technological revolution that has the potential to transform management education. The author proposes Virtual Reality (VR) as a pedagogical tool to teach students about workplace harassment. Specifically, this article describes the development and application of two open access VR simulations that are designed to increase students' awareness of sexism and racism at work. These simulations replicate a complex organizational environment and teach students the skills necessary to intervene when they experience or observe workplace harassment. In addition, they provide students with an opportunity to apply their knowledge in a safe and controlled environment. Data from 25 pilot study participants indicate that the VR simulations are impactful, engaging, immersive, and realistic and are able to evoke students' emotions during the decision-making process. The rapid development of intelligent technology characterized by robots under the fourth scientific and technological revolution provides a favorable opportunity for the accurate decision-making of urban pollution control and the effective achievement of the goal of carbon emission reduction in China. This research uses the robot penetration rate as a representative and characteristic index of industrial intelligence development, based on panel data from 108 cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt (YEB) from 2006 to 2020. It then uses panel quantile regression, spatial measurement, and threshold effect models to provide a more thorough theoretical and empirical discussion of the impact, mechanism, and spatial effect of industrial intelligence development on urban carbon emission efficiency (CEE). Urban CEE may be greatly increased with the use of industrial intelligence, and this finding remains true even after endogeneity and robustness tests are controlled; From an action mechanism perspective, industrial intelligence advances technology, optimizes industrial structure, and ultimately enhances regional CEE; There is a Matthew effect on the degree of development of carbon emission efficiency, and the impact of industrial intelligence on CEE is more pronounced in non-resource-based cities and the lower portions of YEB; Urban CEE increases positively with the spatial spillover impact of industrial intelligence development. The ability for regional sustainable development will be significantly increased if cross-regional cooperative prevention and control of environmental governance can be successfully achieved. Developmental biology—the study of the processes by which cells, tissues, and organisms develop and change over time—has entered a new golden age. After the molecular genetics revolution in the 80s and 90s and the diversification of the field in the early 21st century, we have entered a phase when powerful technologies provide new approaches and open unexplored avenues. Progress in the field has been accelerated by advances in genomics, imaging, engineering, and computational biology and by emerging model systems ranging from tardigrades to organoids. We summarize how revolutionary technologies have led to remarkable progress in understanding animal development. We describe how classic questions in gene regulation, pattern formation, morphogenesis, organogenesis, and stem cell biology are being revisited. We discuss the connections of development with evolution, self-organization, metabolism, time, and ecology. We speculate how developmental biology might evolve in an era of synthetic biology, artificial intelligence, and human engineering. As developmental biology enters a new golden age, this Review summarizes how revolutionary technologies have been integral to the advancement of the field over the last five decades and speculates on how developmental biology might evolve with the changing landscape of cutting-edge technology. Marked by artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, revolutionary biotechnology, etc., the fourth scientific and technological revolution and industrial revolution are accelerated. In this new situation, China's higher engineering education is increasingly closely related to the Industrial Revolution, and it is urgent to train new engineering talents with innovation and entrepreneurship abilities, cross-border integration abilities and comprehensive quality to meet the needs of economic and social development. Entrepreneurial engineering talents have become an important force in promoting industrial progress and social development. Training entrepreneurial engineering talents takes engineering practice training as the driving force of teaching reform. To conduct more scientific and effective evaluation research on college students' engineering entrepreneurship ability, this study proposes the TOPSIS method based on combining CRITIC and entropy weight methods. It constructs a comprehensive evaluation index system of college students' engineering entrepreneurship ability composed of 21 indexes from four dimensions, including self-motivation ability, team management ability, technical management ability and market management ability. A questionnaire based survey was conducted among 360 college students in 6 Zhejiang Province, China universities. The results show that the improved TOPSIS model proposed in this study can make weight determination more scientific and reasonable. The improved TOPSIS model can effectively distinguish the level of engineering entrepreneurship ability of different college students. The engineering entrepreneurship ability of the students in the six universities is generally at the middle level. The years of engineering education significantly affect technical management ability (F = 4.455, p = 0.004) and market management ability (F = 19.174, p = 0.000) at a 1% level. The research conclusion has important reference value for developing engineering entrepreneurship's curriculum and practical activity systems based on the ability structure, constructing the entrepreneurship teacher system, and strengthening the cross-departmental cooperation, coordination and integration of engineering entrepreneurship education in schools. The birth of intellectual property right (IPR) is accompanied by the emergence of scientific and technological revolution, and is deeply influenced by continuous advancement of science and technology. Meanwhile, the emergence of new technology will inevitably undergo a process of development, game, evolution or even extinction. As an important proxy of IPR, patents play a crucial role in indicating the evolution of IPR. Therefore, this paper focuses on the S‐type diffusion and evolutionary game process of IPR, and reveals the main influencing factors of this dynamic evolution process by constructing a bionic evolution system of IPR development through empirical research combined with data analysis methods. As the demand for smaller and more compact lasers increases, the physical dimensions of laser diodes are already at the diffraction limit, which impairs this miniaturization trend and limits direct laser integration into photonic and especially nanophotonic circuits. However, plasmonics has allowed the development of a novel class of lasers that can be manufactured without being limited by diffraction, exhibiting ultralow energy consumption, small volumes, and high modulation speeds that could someday compete with their modern macroscale counterparts. Nevertheless, a wide variety of issues create roadblocks for further development and commercial adoption. Here we conduct a monolithic review in which we formulate the definition of a nanolaser, categorize nanolasers, and examine their properties and applications to determine if nanolasers do present a potential technological revolution as they seem to exhibit or are too restricted by the issues that plague them to ever succeed. Purpose: In recent years we have seen major technological advancements including the launch of large language models such as ChatGPT and the popularity of the digital transformation topic among professionals and academics. Despite this, the pace of digital transformation is surprisingly slow. We aimed to identify behavioral antecedents of an organization's sluggish digital transformation. Design/methodology/approach: We adopted the organizational level of analysis, which differs from prior analyses of technological revolutions that looked at the phenomenon from an aggregate labor market or society level of analysis. Findings: We identified dehumanization as a key construct useful in examining the behavioral impediments to digital transformation. We indicated that the traditionally dual understanding of dehumanization needs to incorporate the actual involvement of non-human agents in operational and decision-making processes in organizations. Originality/value: We complemented the predominant approach of digital transformation, which focuses on technology and related business model development, with a behavioral approach. We considered digital transformation as an extreme degree of change, similar to the Industrial Revolution. We paved the way for the conceptual development of dehumanization in the digital world and for developing managerial practices useful in alleviating concerns that impede the pace of digital transformation. Objective: to trace the evolution of humanity and to identify the role of various social institutions in order to understand the existential role of laws aimed at ensuring the coexistence of society in the context of technological innovations.Methods: the author used general scientific and special methods of cognition, which allowed tracing the dialectical development of humanity, social transformations and technological innovations.Results: looking back at the history of humanity, which originated on the African continent (the theory of African descent), the author notes the most important changes in the human way of life and environment, which led to the need to build organized societies and regulate social behavior with the help of legislative norms. Law is seen as part of the evolutionary process that was to emerge in the course of human evolution. The critical importance of law in overcoming the global challenges and existential questions of humanity’s continued coexistence arising in the course of evolution is emphasized. In this regard, the historical significance of the Kurukan Fuga Charter of the Malian Empire is emphasized as one of the oldest constitutions in the world, recognized internationally as an important source of legal and political norms for modern societies, regulating the structure of state power and social behaviour, although preserved largely in oral form. It is argued that social and technological change often served as the impetus for the development of new laws. Humanity has many times intervened in its own biological evolution with the help of technology; now it is an important moment from the viewpoint of law and ethics when technology may interfere in further human evolution. The greatest concern in this regard is the era of rapid development of artificial intelligence, which makes new demands on a human being.Scientific novelty: the article shows the role of the African continent in the origin and development of humanity and socio-legal institutions in the light of modern transformations and the construction of a new social reality.Practical significance: the conducted research creates prerequisites for further development of the theory of anthroposociogenesis and in-depth conceptual historical and legal study of the role of the African continent in the development of humanity and its social institutions.

This paper uses speculative methods as a way of imagining futures for higher education in open, non-predictive ways. The complexity and 'unknowability' of the highly technologised, environmentally damaged and politically degraded futures we seem to be facing can mean that our conversations about the future of higher education have a tendency to spiral too quickly into dystopianism and hopelessness. Speculative methods can help open up new kinds of conversation capable of supporting active and fundamental hope. Working within a postqualitative framework, we argue that such approaches support the collaborative imagining of multiple alternatives, and represent a way of advocating for those that are preferable. The paper presents a series of speculative scenarios and microfictions focusing on worlds ruptured by climate change, artificial intelligence, revolution and the technological enhancement of humans, connecting each of these to current critical research focused on climate crisis, 'big tech', rising global injustice and 'big pharma'. The Second Quantum Revolution refers to a contemporary wave of advancements and breakthroughs in the field of quantum physics that extends beyond the early developments of Quantum Mechanics that occurred in the 20th century. One crucial aspect of this revolution is the deeper exploration and practical application of quantum entanglement. Entanglement serves as a cornerstone in the ongoing revolution, contributing to quantum computing, communication, fundamental physics experiments, and advanced sensing technologies. Here, we present and discuss some of the recent applications of entanglement, exploring its philosophical implications and non-locality beyond Bell's theorem, thereby critically examining the foundations of Quantum Mechanics. Additionally, we propose educational activities that introduce high school students to Quantum Mechanics by emphasizing entanglement as an essential concept to understand in order to become informed participants in the Second Quantum Revolution. Furthermore, we present the state-of-art developments of a largely unexplored and promising realization of real qubits, namely the molecular spin qubits. We review the available and suggested device architectures to host and use molecular spins. Moreover, we summarize the experimental findings on solid-state spin qubit devices based on magnetic molecules. Finally, we discuss how the Second Quantum Revolution might significantly transform law enforcement by offering specific examples and methodologies to address the evolving challenges in public safety and security. How do technological revolutions affect the rise and fall of great powers? Scholars have long observed that major technological breakthroughs disrupt economic power balances, yet they rarely investigate how this process occurs. Existing studies establish that a nation's success in adapting to revolutionary technologies is determined by the fit between its institutions and the demands of these technologies. The standard explanation emphasizes institutions suited for monopolizing innovation in new, fast-growing industries (leading sectors). I outline an alternative pathway based on general-purpose technologies (GPTs), foundational advances that boost productivity only after an extended diffusion process across many sectors. Specifically, GPT diffusion demands institutional adaptations that widen the base of engineering skills associated with a GPT. To test this argument, I set the GPT mechanism against the leading-sector mechanism across three cases, which correspond to past industrial revolutions: Britain's rise to preeminence in the early nineteenth century; the United States's overtaking of Britain before World War I; Japan's challenge to US technological dominance in the late twentieth century. The findings support a novel explanation for technology-driven power transitions, directly bearing on how emerging technologies like AI, which some regard as driving a fourth industrial revolution, could influence a possible US–China power transition. Carl von Clausewitz's political theory of war was the source of many disagreements over readings of its most popular theses. Foucault viewed it as part of a broader political-legal discourse of sovereignty, which underlies modern biopower. Foucault's contemporary commentators try to develop his position by arguing the analogy between the discourse prevailing in Clausewitz's time and the contemporary neoliberal discourse and technological revolution on the battlefield, which create a new order of power. However, postmodernists focusing on showy stylistics in their assessments rely on a mythologized narrative about Clausewitz, reducing his theories to a discourse of war as a way for nation-states to conduct foreign policy. In this article, Clausewitz shows that his theory goes much deeper and provides a critical perspective on the relationship between war and politics. The wireless sensor network (WSN) is one of the most important achievements of the modern technological revolution and greatly affects human life. These networks suffer from some limitations that affect their performance, such as the limited power of their devices. Clustering technology is one of the effective power conservation techniques that improves the performance of WSNs, so this article focuses on developing aggregation technology by proposing an Energy Saving, Multi-hops, Clustering, and Hierarchy (ESMCH) protocol for homogeneous WSNs. The proposed protocol improves clustering technology in several directions. The first direction is by determining the ideal number of cluster head nodes (CHs) suitable for the network, and the second is through the perfect choice of nodes that will represent CHs. The third trend is the selection of secondary CHs. The last trend is the formation of clusters, which depends on an important parameter (distance to CHs). The proposed system uses the TDMA method to schedule the data transfer process to CHs (inside the cluster) and the CSMA method to organize the exchange of data packets between CHs (outside the clusters) for delivery to the base station. The results of simulation experiments in MATLAB R (2020 a) show that the proposed protocol extends network lifetime by 32% compared to the LEACH algorithm and by 26% compared to the SEP algorithm. The results also display that the ESMCH protocol increased the throughput of the WSN by 16.8% compared to its throughput when using the SEP algorithm and by 30% when using the LEACH algorithm. • The long waves of Kondratiev and Schumpeter have been absent from the current debate on declining business dynamism. • Based on extensive microeconomic data from 1986 to 2018, the study examines how the ICT revolution has influenced business dynamism. • There are two structural breaks in industrial dynamics in Portugal: an upswing in 1993 and a downturn in 2003. • Counterfactual estimates show that entry and survival become more stringent in the mature stage of a technological revolution, thereby reducing entrepreneurship's long-term disruptive potential. Following Schumpeter, several scholars have shown that development follows long-term waves. These waves are prompted by radical innovations, which, until their full potential is exhausted, spread through incremental innovations and continuous learning and imitation processes. However, the discontinuity of technological progress often goes unnoticed in current debates on productivity slowdown, declining business dynamism and increasing market concentration. Our study, based on extensive microeconomic data from 1986 to 2018, examines how the ICT revolution has influenced business dynamism in Portugal. The Bai–Perron estimates show two structural breaks in industrial dynamics: an upswing in 1993 and a downturn in 2003. Our research also shows that during the late 20th century creative destruction was mainly driven by the expanding ICT sector. After 2003, however, firm dynamics became less turbulent, with less entry and job reallocation. Moreover, despite the increasing performance of a typical high-growth young firm, the incidence of startups has declined in the new century. The invention of agriculture 12,000 years ago has been called the worst mistake in human history. Alongside the social, political, and technological innovations that stemmed from it, there came a litany of drawbacks ranging from social inequality, a decline in human health, to the concentration of power in the hands of a few. Millennia after the invention of agriculture, another revolution—the digital revolution—is having a similar impact on humanity, albeit at a scale and speed measured in decades. Despite the tremendous advances brought about by this revolution, there is today a rapidly expanding gulf within and between societies along technological lines; alarming effects on sociality and cognition due to a persistent online presence; and a concentration of power in the form of wealth and data within a handful of tech companies, the likes of which has never been seen before. While the effects of agriculture can now be discerned with thousands of years of hindsight, those of the digital revolution can be witnessed in real time. Is the digital revolution paving the way for a more equitable and stable world, or is it leading humanity down a road that will prove to be more detrimental the more ensconced in technology we become? Scientific and technological revolutions have given rise to a new generation of general-purpose intelligent manufacturing technology represented by industrial robots, which have become the emerging growth engine in many countries worldwide, leading to significant improvements in productivity and innovation. However, it remains unclear whether the industrial robot adoption can help address the increasingly severe environmental issues. This study investigates the impact of imported industrial robots on the pollutant emission intensity of Chinese manufacturing enterprises using micro panel data from 1998 to 2013. Our findings suggest that the industrial robot adoption leads to a significant reduction in SO 2 emission intensity at the enterprise level. These results remain robust even after conducting various robustness checks, addressing endogeneity concerns and adjusting matching strategies. Furthermore, our investigation reveals three channels through which robot adoption reduces SO 2 emission intensity: technological progress spillover, clean energy transition, and improvement in end-of-pipe treatment. By providing micro-level evidence on the environmental impacts of industrial robots, this study contributes to our understanding of the positive environmental externality associated with the diffusion of imported intelligent technology across nations and offers valuable insights for the sustainable development of emerging economies. This paper adopts the system dynamics method, based on the overall structure of intelligent construction, extracts the causality chain and causal feedback loop of intelligent construction, and presents a causality diagram and system dynamics diagram to build a robust system dynamics model for intelligent construction. On this basis, an evaluation index system for intelligent construction is constructed from the five dimensions—investment, design, construction, operation, and environment—for a holistic assessment of the current state of intelligent construction. This study examines the nexus between the good and bad volatilities of three technological revolutions—financial technology (FinTech), the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence and technology—as well as the two main conventional and Islamic cryptocurrency platforms, Bitcoin and Stellar, via three approaches: quantile cross-spectral coherence, quantile-VAR connectedness, and quantile-based non-linear causality-in-mean and variance analysis. The results are as follows: (1) under normal market conditions, in long-run horizons there is a significant positive cross-spectral relationship between FinTech's positive volatilities and Stellar's negative volatilities; (2) Stellar's negative and positive volatilities exhibit the highest net spillovers at the lower and upper tails, respectively; and (3) the quantile-based causality results indicate that Bitcoin's good (bad) volatilities can lead to bad (good) volatilities in all three smart technologies operating between normal and bull market conditions. Moreover, the Bitcoin industry's negative volatilities have a bilateral cause-and-effect relationship with FinTech's positive volatilities. By analyzing the second moment, we found that Bitcoin's negative volatilities are the only cause variable that generates FinTech's good volatility in a unidirectional manner. As for Stellar, only bad volatilities have the potential to signal good volatilities for cutting-edge technologies in some middle quantiles, whereas good volatilities have no significant effect. Hence, the trade-off between Bitcoin and cutting-edge technologies, especially FinTech-related advancements, appear more broadly and randomly compared with the Stellar-innovative technologies nexus. The findings provide valuable insights for FinTech companies, blockchain developers, crypto-asset regulators, portfolio managers, and high-tech investors. With the flourishing development of corpus linguistics and technological revolutions in the AI-powered age, automated essay scoring (AES) models have been intensively developed. However, the intricate relationship between linguistic features and different constructs of writing quality has yet to be thoroughly investigated. The present study harnessed computational analytic tools and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to distill and refine linguistic indicators for model construction. Findings revealed that both micro-features and their combination with aggregated features robustly described writing quality over aggregated features alone. Linear and non-linear models were thus developed to explore the associations between linguistic features and different constructs of writing quality. The non-linear AES model with Random Forest Regression demonstrated superior performance over other benchmark models. Furthermore, SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) was employed to pinpoint the most powerful linguistic features for each rating trait, enhancing the model's transparency through explainable AI (XAI). This exploration employs the generalized supremum augmented Dickey-Fuller (GSADF) approach to explore whether there are digital tech bubbles in China. The empirical results suggest the existence of multiple digital tech bubbles, which are mostly accompanied by an excessive rise. However, the appearance of digital tech bubbles is curbed since 2016, mainly due to the increasing mature regulations in relevant fields. Besides, bubbles in different digital technologies are similar during the same period, which could be attributed to the close relationships among them. Additionally, we further investigate the factors influencing the explosive behaviours, and find that the Chinese stock market positively affects digital tech bubbles, while economic policy uncertainties and situations negatively influence such explosive behaviors. In the context of the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, these conclusions provide valuable implications to achieve the target of constructing a "Digital China" by becoming moderately cautious about potential bubbles in the digital tech industry. [Purpose] The purpose of this study is to examine the concept of artificial intelligence (AI) as an object of civil legal relations, with a specific focus on its status as an inventor. The study aims to define the characteristics of AI as an inventor, including its intangible nature, resemblance to the human brain, autonomy, data collection and processing capabilities, learning ability, and generation of novel results, particularly in the realm of inventions. [Methodology/Approach/Design] The research employs a range of methodologies, including functional and logical analysis, deduction, induction, synthesis, and dogmatic approaches. It highlights the need for legal regulation concerning AI as an inventor, with particular attention given to the legal regime surrounding inventions created by AI. [Findings] Based on the unique aspects of AI as an object of civil legal relations and its capacity to create inventions, the study proposes extending the existing legal and patent framework to address these relations with certain specificities. The conditions for patentability of AI-generated inventions should mirror those for human inventions, as they operate in the same technological field. [Practical Implications] It is not recommended to grant AI the status of a legal entity. Instead, the study suggests indicating in the patent that the invention was created with the assistance of a specific AI, without conferring personal non-property rights to AI itself. Property rights to inventions generated by AI should be legally assigned to the user of the AI, unless agreed upon differently by the parties involved. [Originality/Value] Given the advancements in AI technologies and their ability to create patentable inventions, there is an urgent need for comprehensive and effective legal regulation. Since the beginning of the 21st century, the new generation of information technology represented by the Internet has swept the world, driving a new round of scientific and technological revolution as well as industrial transformation. In this context, an in-depth discussion of the relationship between Internet development and Total Factor Productivity (TFP) is of great significance for promoting the high-quality development of the economy. Based on 2006 to 2020 annual reports of listed manufacturing enterprises in China, this paper takes resource allocation into the analysis framework of the impact of Internet development on manufacturing TFP to analyse the internal mechanism. The conclusions reveal that Internet development has not only a direct positive effect on manufacturing TFP but also a significant indirect promoting effect on manufacturing TFP by improving resource allocation efficiency. The resource allocation effect of Internet development on manufacturing TFP is mainly realized through the improvement of the allocation of labour factors. Furthermore, resource allocation can strengthen the nonlinear spillover effects of Internet development on manufacturing TFP. Based on the significance and role of ChatGPT in the power and knowledge production, this research aims to display how ChatGPT responds to questions that are by nature controversial and debatable, as their values depend on the agency or power that answers them. The main question of this work is whether this artificial intellegince model is influenced by any discourse(s). The approaches employed in this work are Michel Foucault's discourse analysis and Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis. It is contended that discourses are ubiquitously everywhere in social practices. To Fairclough and Foucault, language production is strongly connected to power and knowledge production. Therefore, utilising a qualitative method in the examination, the work wishes to identify the discourse(s) that can affect ChatGPT's responses and discuss its implications for knowledge and power production. The research discovered that ChatGPT's answers unveiled a prejudice towards capitalist discourse, established knowledge, and suppressed alternative opinions. Also, the definitions of capitalism and communism by ChatGPT were insufficient because the political and ideological dimensions of capitalism were ignored, which can be considered major findings of this present work regarding the two selected systems. Bitcoin and its peers have set off a technological revolution that will transform money, finance, and society. However, the future of cryptocurrencies as financial assets is far from certain – as can be seen from Bitcoin's halving in value in six months since November 2021; the total value of all cryptocurrencies fell from $3 trillion to $1.3 trillion over this period. Urban ecological environment resilience is an important characteristic that should be possessed in the process of urban development. It is conducive to coping with the challenges of multiple risks and disturbances such as climate change, resolving chronic pressure, improving the ability to resist disaster risk, self-adjustment, and recovery, to maintain the structure and function stability of the urban system. The digital economy is a new economic form caused by the new technological revolution, which may effectively promote economic ecology and ecological economization. We clarify the elements of the digital economic system, construct the coupling evaluation index system of "digital infrastructure-industrial digitization-digital industrialization," and establish the coupling degree model to analyze the characteristics of the integration interaction, coordination, and self-organization of the digital economy subsystem. Based on emergency management theory, adaptive management concept, and resilient city theory, an evaluation index system is constructed from four levels of prevention, resistance, adaptation, and recovery to measure urban ecological resilience. Taking 278 cities in China from 2011 to 2021 as the research object, we established a spatial econometric model to explore the dynamic mechanism of digital economy system composition and coupling coordination to enhance urban resilience and summarize the theoretical model form. Against the background of the accelerated evolution of the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial change, scientific and technical talents, as essential innovation resources, play an important role in promoting the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry. Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2012 to 2021, the article constructs a fixed-effects model and systematically researches the impact of scientific and technological talents on the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry. The results show that scientific and technical talents play a significant role in promoting the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry, and the upgrading of the consumption structure and the accumulation of productive service industries play a mediating role. Heterogeneity analysis found that the promotion effect of scientific and technical talents is more favorable in the eastern region, medium-technology level manufacturing, and labor-intensive manufacturing. Among the three sub-dimensions of scientific and technological talents, the scale of scientific and technical talents has the most significant impact on the development of the manufacturing industry. The analysis of the spatial spillover effect finds that scientific and technological talents will have a positive spillover effect on the development of the manufacturing industry in neighboring areas. The findings underscore the intricate interplay between technology and societal dynamics in this evolutionary process. While ICT undoubtedly plays a central role, the construction of the information society emerges as a multifaceted phenomenon, transcending mere technological determinism. Prior to the technological revolution, reliance on traditional sources such as newspapers and other mass communication channels was the predominant method of consuming news. With the pervasive influence of social media, traditional news sources have undergone significant displacement, yielding predominance to platforms rooted in social media networks. Informal news propagation through social media has been observed to be fast in nature. With the information propagating fast, the misinformation also propagates rapidly on social media. If the misinformation is not detected early, it can cause serious problems. Thus the problem of identifying misinformation at the onset needs much attention. This paper explores various architectures for detecting misinformation, employing deep transfer learning techniques. The study utilizes transformer architectures, namely MPNet, SentenceT5, and Generalizable T5-based dense Retrievers, to generate embeddings. These architectures have undergone pre-training and fine-tuning on diverse tasks. The system's performance is assessed using a benchmark dataset of misinformation from Reddit, referred to as 'Fakeddit'. When tested on unseen data, the models perform well, and outperform previously reported baselines and other models on the given dataset with textual modality. The results indicate that transfer learning with zero-shot or few-shot learning can prove very cost-effective and efficient for the problem of misinformation detection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
