Research has been conducted on dichlorogallane (HGaCl (sub)2) (sub)2. The preparation of this compound from gallium trichloride and triethylsilane and its crystal structure determined via single crystal X-ray diffraction are discussed.

The geometries, energies, magnetic properties and vibrational frequencies of these dianions with the noble gas atoms located in the centers of the icosahedral [B (sub)12], [Al (sub)12] and [Ga (sub)12] clusters have been computed and the results are discussed.

The isolation of Ga (sub)4 (O (sub)3 PC (sub)2 H (sub)4 PO (sub)3 ) (sub)3 and Ga (sub)2 (OH) (sub)2 ( O (sub)3 PC (sub)2 H (sub)4 PO (sub)3) has been carried out and their structures have been solved via the single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
