This research aims to centrally analyze the impact of state and federal public funding allocated to public state higher education institutions in Mexico on the performance of scientific research. Through the review of previous studies, international indicators, and government official data, a database of indicators was created for comparison and correlation. The findings presented highlight the importance of allocating adequate resources and contribute to the understanding of how funding can influence performance in scientific research, innovation, social impact, and, consequently, the continuous improvement of the quality of education in the universities under analysis. The text discusses the scenario of knowledge production about internationalization, considering international student mobility. To this end, the productions were mapped in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), in the publication period between the years 2017-2022, having as reference the concept of state of knowledge defined by Morosini (2014). The studies found deal with both the organization and systematization of Universities to meet the demand for these policies, as well as the impact of student mobility. It is possible to visualize important movements made by the institutions in the scope of internationalization, enabling different experiences with the approximation in different cultures with implications in the identity construction of students. This paper analyzes the experiences of participation in the strike carried out by students of Unit 071 of the National Pedagogical University of Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico. From a reflective approach, the historical memory of the process is recovered from documentary analysis, records of assemblies and marches, as well interviews with students and leaders of the movement. The information was grouped into two blocks: From the pandemic to the student strike. Subjectivation and existential plot; in which the vicissitudes of organization and actions carried out are exposed; and, The word must be worth, which discusses the network of actions, synergies, meetings and disagreements between students to undertake negotiations with educational and governmental authorities. The confluence of other social movements, the mobilization and taking of the streets, contributed to the strike's resolution, which inaugurated an unprecedented experience of struggle and resistance for these students. The covid-19 pandemic has brought impacts of great magnitudes, including significant changes that needed to be made in the way Accounting Sciences courses are conducted, resulting in paradigms to be analyzed and the students' perspective on the remote teaching model that was employed. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the students' perception regarding the shift from in-person to remote teaching in the Accounting Sciences course during this epidemic period. The research was conducted in 2020, applying a questionnaire with 16 questions to 50 students of the Accounting course. Through this research, it was possible to perceive the panorama of the transition from in-person to remote teaching for these students, which was a period that required a great need for reinvention by the students, despite challenges and specific aspects of dissatisfaction. The present paper wants to share the project called "Participative Community methodologists in ludoteca felt and thought from education". It stared in 2022. The idea is part of a process in the subject Community and Institutional Psychology, that belongs to the career of University technicality in Social Education of the Faculty of Education of the National University of Cuyo. This process began 5 year ago and aims deepening and building bridges of knowledge and meanings between Social Education and Community Psychology. Furthermore, this experience is part of the Educational Social Practices Program (PSE) belonging to the Secretariat of Extension and Linkage of the UNCuyo. This project sought to ensure that students who were studying the university subjectof Community and Institutional Psychology, of the FED - UNCuyo, applied participatory community methodologies. They recived the tutoring of advanced students and graduates of the carrear and teachers. The project was carried out in a place called "ludoteca" in the "Nucleus of Innovation and Development of Opportunities" (NIDO). In addition, the specific objectives were: 1- Carry out methodologies that promote understanding of the socio-historical context; 2- Analyze current problems and needs that afflict the child population; 3- Understand the population dynamics involved and 4- Maintain, through play, a healthy space that favors the construction of strategies to address the problems of daily life. The starting point was theoretical references that put in a constant dialogue between community psychology and social education knowledges in latin America. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This text aims to identify and analyze the challenges in higher education to meet social needs in Colombia. Qualitative research methodology was employed for this purpose. Semi-structured interviews were used as the technique for data collection, and questionnaires were used as instruments. In conclusion, it is determined that higher education faces internal challenges associated with structural factors in the educational process and external challenges linked to the economic system and living conditions of the Colombian population. The use of creative writing based on Narrative Medicine (NM) as active learning for the teaching of the professional role in Health Sciences, has aroused interest in recent years. An exploratory systematic review was carried out to know the effectiveness of its application in university students in the field of social sciences and health. The studies were retrieved from WoS, Scopus, Dialnet and REDIB. The analysis of 8 selected articles described this methodology as a useful tool to foster the narrative voices of students, encourage reflection on clinical encounters, encourage attentive and empathetic clinical care and facilitate emotional management. This methodology also allows the development of language skills, creativity, and spontaneity in the construction of professional identity and professionalism. Despite the scarcity of studies, its usefulness at the curricular level seems promising, although it is necessary to analyze in depth the phenomenon of study. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study seeks to answer whether the theme of Sustainability/Environmental Education is present in undergraduate dental courses. The research is quantitative in nature. The first step was to search the undergraduate curricula. Then, a questionnaire was applied to the dentists. From the survey in the Higher Education Institutions, it was found that the theme Sustainability/Environmental Education, specifically, is not approached in the Dentistry courses; only related disciplines with superficial contents were found. The field research indicated that for 88% of the participants, the theme Sustainability/Environmental Education was not part of their curriculum, and only 12% of the participants affirmed having received this knowledge during their undergraduate studies. Thus, the research shows a gap in the academic training of dental surgeons during graduation, since the role and responsibility of universities is to contribute to a future of sustainable development through education. As part of a project on violence at unam, this article takes up some of the findings of feminist research—the notion of continuity, the validity of sexist structures and harassment practices—to address the point of view of critical masculinities. Based on this, a review is undertaken of key aspects of three theoretical trends: hegemonic masculinity, the theories of manhood acts and male peer support. These are used to outline a proposal for a triple model—in terms of ideals, strategies, and alliances—of education in masculinities and against violence. The critical work leads to a review of “multiple masculinities” in response to recent proposals that question the toxicity/ positivity dichotomy, with hybridity emerging as a viable option. I conclude with an outline of the triple model based on two strategies: naming and self-reflection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The contents of History of Nursing, in all its context of curricular inclusion and changes, is designed to promote a vision of the origins and the challenges and achievements that surrounded the realization of Nursing as a profession, generating a broad reflection of values, not only of characters who were part of the construction of the profession, but of their own values that identify them selves before them. Studies point out the lack of preparation and the lack of teachers in some disciplines, specifically in the discipline of Nursing History. The study aims to: understand the process of curricular organization of the discipline History of Nursing taught in undergraduate nursing education in public institutions in the State of São Paulo; identify the profile of teachers who teach the content of History of Nursing and understand teaching strategies, forms of assessment, workload and how these impact on the training of nurses. A qualitative study with an approach used by phenomenography. Data were collected through documentary research and interviews with professors who teach the contents of History of Nursing during the period of collection, that is, in 2019, at public universities in the State of São Paulo. Higher education is responsible for educating and serving society, and guidance is among the competencies of a higher education institution. Facing the obligation to accomplish this proposal, the students come across a reality - such as the need to read and write - to which they often have not been stimulated in previous stages of their formal education. The activities inherent to scientific work enable reflexive situations on academic knowledge and their expansion at the research level. Due to such finding, in Term Paper (Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso in Portuguese/TCC) and Undergraduate Research (Iniciação Científica in Portuguese/IC) activities at the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT) Entomology Laboratory, as well as in interdisciplinary research with the Portuguese Language, the academics are invited to exercise the ability of authorship and criticality in front of reflections and what is produced. The study discusses the influence of affectivity on teacher-student relationships and their contributions to the teaching-learning process. The objective is to highlight the importance of affectivity throughout the schooling process and its respective impacts on student preparation and learning, also alerting to the need for new academic research on affectivity in the classroom. The problem that guided this study is what are the contributions of affectivity in the teacher-student relationship and its impacts on the teaching-learning process. The structure of the article is divided into three main themes, which are: conceptualizations and reflections on learning and affectivity, the importance of affectivity in the teacher-student relationship and in learning, and finally, the data survey and analysis. The methodology is bibliographic in nature, enriched with the state of knowledge, from the Periodic Portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), in the last decade. Of the articles found, nineteen focus on the descriptor affectivity, covering the stages of early childhood education, elementary school, high school, higher education and distance education, which showed the importance of the teacher and his influence through the development of interactions, harmonious and affective relationships established from early childhood education to higher education. It was concluded that, throughout the schooling process, affectivity is an essential factor, which generates positive reflexes in education, and that the teacher is essential to the development of affective relationships established at all levels of education. Purpose: To identify the efficiency of municipalities in the Brazilian State of Sergipe in promoting satisfactory education levels from the resources aimed at this sector. Methodology: A qualitative research was used with the application of Data Envelopment Analysis as a technique for measuring the performance of the municipalities assessed. Municipal expenditure on education and financial resources received from the Brazilian fund FNDE were selected as input variables. The results of municipalities in the Brazilian national exam of Prova Brasil, for students in basic education, were used as outputs variables. Results: The results indicate that higher expenditure in education does not necessarily ensure high educational performance, as municipalities with tighter budgets can reach better results in the sector analysed. Following the targets set in the current analysis, municipalities deemed inefficient were suggested to maintain or even reduce the resources applied on education, while also increasing the scores obtained in Prova Brasil. Contributions of the study: The present study can be considered a reference tool for municipal authorities to establish strategies aiming towards the efficiency in the consumption of resources, while also delivering better services to the community. In addition, this study plays a supporting role to society, in helping them understand the performance of their municipality in Prova Brasil, thus creating subsidies to request greater transparency from local authorities. Resumo Esta pesquisa se coloca no contexto do movimento da Reforma Sanitária brasileira ao propor, a partir das teorias de Paulo Freire e Dermeval Saviani, uma pedagogia para a formação profissional para o Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS). Trata-se de uma pesquisa teórica que toma como método o materialismo histórico-dialético. No primeiro momento (de tese), privilegia-se o empírico, partindo-se da realidade. No segundo momento (de antítese), é estabelecido o diálogo com as teorias de Freire e Saviani pelas categorias trabalho, consciência e linguagem. No terceiro momento (de síntese), o concreto é alcançado pelas categorias conhecimento/conteúdos, método e processos de ensino-aprendizagem. No momento de síntese, propõe-se a pedagogia para a formação profissional para o SUS, com seus três elementos essenciais: fundamentos, método e finalidade. Pondera-se que as pedagogias de Freire e Saviani representam sustentação para uma pedagogia para a formação profissional para o SUS. Abstract This study is framed within the context of Brazil’s health reform by proposing a pedagogy for professional training for the Brazilian National Health System (SUS) based on the theories of Paulo Freire and Dermeval Saviani. We conducted a theoretical study drawing on historical and dialectical materialism. In the first moment (thesis), emphasis is given to the empirical, based on reality. In the second moment (antithesis), we draw on the theories of Freire and Saviani focusing on the categories work, conscience and language. In the third moment (synthesis), the concrete is attained through the categories knowledge/content, method and teaching-learning processes. As part of the synthesis, we propose a pedagogy for professional training for the SUS structured around three core elements: basis, method and purpose. It is proposed that the pedagogies of Freire and Saviani provide the underpinnings for a pedagogy for professional training for the SUS. Resumen Esta investigación se plantea en el contexto del movimiento de la Reforma Sanitaria Brasileña al proponer, a partir de las teorías de Paulo Freire y Dermeval Saviani, una pedagogía para la formación profesional para el Sistema Brasileño de Salud (SUS). Se trata de una investigación teórica, utilizándose como método el materialismo histórico-dialéctico. En el primer momento (de tesis) se privilegia lo empírico, partiéndose de la realidad. The main objective of the article is to analyze some of the legislative texts that encouraged the expansion of for-profit private higher education in Brazil, since the Federal Constitution of 1988, until the middle of 2010. The textual analysis was made through the qualitative approach, with the selection of books, academic theses, articles published in journals, the legislation relevant to the discussion, and some statistical data. Thus, it was possible to observe the remarkable growth of the Private Profitable Higher Education Institutions, in a short time, mainly through the strong role of the State and the Public Fund.
