Research has been conducted on the marine natural alkaloid haliclamine A. The synthesis of this alkaloid has been carried out via the use of thiophene chemistry and Zincke procedure in constructing primary amines of the bis-pyridinium macrocycle and the details are reported.

Research has been conducted on fluorinated and nonfluorinated alcohols. The interactions of these alcohols with trans-stilbene have been investigated in the presence of electrophilic reagents and the results indicate that these interactions produce alpha-keto ethers which are dependent on the alcohols' fluorination degree and the reaction time.

Research has been conducted on the cyclodextrin dimers which contain aromatic bipyridine spacers. The conformational behavior and synthesis of these dimers have been studied and the details are presented.

Research has been conducted on the regioselective reduction of cyclic imides. Results indicate that sodium borohydride regioselectively reduces 3-sulfonyl glutarimides to hydroxy piperidones.

Research has been conducted on the functionalized styrene derivatives. Results indicate that the synthesis of these derivatives can be performed via Suzuki cross-coupling protocol between the 2,4,6-trivinylcyclotriboroxane-pyridine complex and aryl halides.

Research has been conducted on the (1Z,3Z)-1,4-di(pyridin-2-yl)buta-1,3-diene-2,3-diol. The results of the spectrum analysis of this compound carried out in chloroform solution are reported.

The synthesis of the caerulomycin B and caerulomycin C have been performed and the results indicate that this synthesis involves metalation, transmetalation and aromatic cross-coupling controlled reactions.
