Rhodium-catalyzed asymmetric 1,4-addition of organoboron reagents tp 5,6-dihydro-2(1H)-pyridinones. Asymmetric synthesis of 4-aryl-2-piperidinones

Research has been conducted on the 4-aryl-2-piperidinones. The catalytic asymmetric synthesis of these compounds have been carried out via the asymmetric 1,4-addition of the arylboron reagents to 5,6-dihydro-2(1H)-pyridinones in the presence of the chiral bisphosphine-rhodium catalyst.
