The article discusses how the relationship between U.S. President Barack Obama and Jamie Dimon, chief executive officer (CEO) of finance company JP Morgan Chase, has changed. The author notes that Dimon was not invited to a state dinner that was held as Obama promoted financial reform legislation and comments that despite his liberal views, Dimon has criticized the Obama administration's policies. Dimon's views on public issues, such as government bailouts to American banks during the financial crisis, are noted. The opposition of banking CEOs to government reforms on derivatives and the administration's efforts to recoup bailout money and prevent proprietary trading from banks are noted.
