Proactive shifts in investment and want patterns are a consequence of India's growing middle class, expanding young population, rising literacy rate, and improved workforce. There is a lot of pressure on India's real estate market since everyone wants to purchase a property. Inevitably, all areas of society will experience short-term upheaval as a consequence of any economic transformation. The government's unexpected 2016 announcement of demonetization, a recent economic reform, caused widespread upheaval and endangered economic progress. The real estate industry is one that has not yet seen the effects of demonetization. Demonetization has a disproportionately negative impact on the real estate market. In this report, we looked at the real estate market before and after demonetization to see how the policy changed things. Secondary data came from a variety of sources, including government reports and magazines, while primary data came from a survey of eighty-three real estate agents and real estate businessmen chosen at random using the snowball sampling method. To assess the effects of demonetization on the real estate industry before and after the policy change, researchers used a paired sample t-test. Since the value of assets and people's wants have decreased owing to demonetization, the research found that real estate brokers and real estate companies have lost money. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
