Özellikle bu tür manifoldlar üzerinde lokal simetri, global ...-simetri ve lokal ...-simetri gibitensör koşulları bazı ek şartlar altında göz önüne alınmıştır. Ayrıca, ....-Einstein ve Einstein manifoldlariçin gerek ve yeter koşullar çalışılmıştır. Bundan başka, ....-kesit ve ....-kesit eğrilikleri ile ilgili bazı sonuçlaralfa Kenmotsu pseudo metrik manifoldlar üzerinde verilmiştir. Son olarak, makale alfa Kenmotsupseudo metrik manifoldlar için açıklayıcı bir örnekle sonlandırılmıştır The aim of this paper is to investigate some curvature properties on alpha Kenmotsu pseudo metricmanifolds. In particular, the tensor conditions such as locally symmetry, globally ....symmetry andlocally ....-symmetry under some additional conditions on such manifolds are considered. Also, thenecessary and sufficient conditions for ...-Einstein and Einstein manifolds are studied. Furthermore,some results are related to ....-sectional and ...-sectional curvatures on alpha Kenmotsu pseudo metricmanifolds are given. Finally, the paper is concluded with an illustrative example for alpha Kenmotsupseudo metric manifolds.

Third-party logistics (3PL) services have seen significant growth in recent years as a result of playing a key role in supply chain management. The demand for 3PL service providers has increased as companies offer better service to their customers, lower costs and gain competitive advantage. This paper includes an application that will help determine the most important criteria in the selection and evaluation of 3PL service providers. The aim of the paper is to be able to determine the selection criteria of the 3PL service providers and the relationships between them, from the point of view of companies already using logistics services outsourcing. For this purpose, grey system theory and DEMATEL approach are integrated in order to describe uncertain and complex decisions with definite numerical values and determine the relations and importance levels between the criteria. The findings revealed interrelations between criteria and presented the most important criteria for 3PL provider selection. It is believed that the results of the paper will help the managers to propose a model that can be implemented with the selection criteria of the 3PL service provider., Üçüncü parti lojistik (3PL) hizmetlerinin, tedarik zinciri yönetiminde temel bir rol oynamasının sonucu olarak son yıllarda kayda değer bir büyüme yaşadığı görülmektedir. 3PL hizmet sağlayıcılarına yönelik talep, şirketlerin müşterine daha iyi hizmetleri sunmaları, maliyetleri düşürmeleri ve rekabet üstünlüğü elde etmeleri gibi avantajlar sağladığı için artış göstermektedir. Bu makalede, 3PL hizmet sağlayıcısı seçimi ve değerlendirilmesi sürecindeki en önemli kriterlerin belirlenmesine yardımcı olacak bir uygulamaya yer verilmiştir. Makalenin amacı, lojistik hizmetlerini zaten dış kaynak kullanan firmaların bakış açısıyla 3PL hizmet sağlayıcılarının seçim kriterlerini ve aralarındaki ilişkileri belirleyebilmektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda belirsiz ve karmaşık kararları kesin sayısal değerler ile betimleyebilmek ve kriterler arasındaki ilişkileri ve önem düzeylerini tespit edebilmek için gri sistem teorisi ile DEMATEL yaklaşımı bütünleşik olarak ele alınmıştır. Bulgular, kriterler arasındaki karşılıklı ilişkileri ortaya koyarak 3PL hizmet sağlayıcısı seçimindeki en önemli kriterleri ortaya koymuştur. Makale sonuçlarının yöneticilere, 3PL hizmet sağlayıcısı seçim kriterlerinin belirlenmesinde uygulanabilecek bir model önerisiyle yardımcı olacağı düşünülmektedir.

Günümüzde teknoloji hızlı gelişmekte ve müşterilerin ürünlerden beklentileri artmaktadır. Bu nedenle müşteriisteklerinin ön plana çıkması ve sürekli değişmesi ürün tasarımını geçmişe göre daha önemli kılmaktadır. Yaygınolarak kullanılan çamaşır makinesini üreten firmalar pazar payına sahip olabilmeleri için müşteri isteklerini gözönünde bulundurmak zorundadır. Müşteri isteklerinden birisi de ergonomik kullanım kolaylığıdır. Bu çalışmadaergonomik bir çamaşır makinesi tasarımında müşteri isteklerine ve firma kapasitesine göre teknik özellikler üzerindeiyileştirme yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada kalite fonksiyon yayılımı yöntemi ve bulanık çok amaçlı doğrusalprogramlama yaklaşımı ergonomik çamaşır makinesi tasarımı için önerilmiştir. Kalite fonksiyon yayılımı müşteriistekleri ve teknik özellikler arasındaki ilişkiyi belirleyebilmektedir. Bu sonuçlara göre ergonomik bir çamaşırmakinesi tasarımı için hangi teknik özelliğin daha önemli olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ancak bu sonuç sadece müşteriisteklerine göre belirlenmiştir. Firma kapasitesi ihmal edildiği için firmanın zaman ve maliyet açısından problemlerlekarşılaşması ve pazar rekabetinde geri kalması söz konusudur. Firma ergonomik bir çamaşır makinesi tasarlarkenmüşteri isteklerinin maksimize edilmesi, maliyetin düşürülmesi, zamanın minimize edilmesi gibi farklı amaçlarasahiptir. Bu çalışma bu problemi ortadan kaldırmak için müşteri istekleri ve firma kapasitesini birlikte inceleyenZimmermann ve hibrid yaklaşım olmak üzere iki bulanık çok amaçlı doğrusal programlama yaklaşımını önermiş veelde edilen sonuçları karşılaştırmıştır., Nowadays technology develops rapidly and the customer requirements (CRs) on product increase. Therefore, theCRs change continuously and are more important than past so that product design is more important than past. Firms,which manufacture the washing machines used commonly, must consider the CRs to have the market share. One ofthe CRs is ergonomic ease of use. This paper aims to improve on technical characteristics in an ergonomic washingmachine design according to the CRs and the capacity of the firm. This paper proposes an integrated approach, whichconsists of quality function deployment (QFD) method and fuzzy multi-objective linear programming (FMOLP)method, for an ergonomic washing machine design. QFD method defines the relation between the CRs and technicalcharacteristics. This result presents the importance degrees of technical characteristics for an ergonomic washingmachine design but this result is defined according to only the CRs. Firm can meet with some problems in terms oftime and cost due to neglecting of the capacity of the firm thus the firm can fall behind in market competitive. The firm considers different objectives such as maximizing the CRs, minimizing the cost and minimizing the time for anergonomic washing machine design. This paper proposes two FMOLP methods, which consist of Zimmermann andhybrid approaches, to overcome this drawback so that the obtained results are compared.

In this study, the Internet of things is defined and lightweight protocols that the devices can use to communicate with each other are specified, and message queue telemetry transport (MQTT) protocol, which is designed to be used for restricted devices, is detailed. In the scope of this paper, the studies about the authentication of the objects and the confidentiality of the data have been examined, some suggestions have been made against the identified security vulnerabilities. In the scope of this paper, as the test environment, Mosquitto, the server of the MQTT protocol, and MongoDB in order to store the data were installed. In the prepared test environment, the objects were communicated with each other via the MQTT protocol and identity verification and security vulnerabilities were tried to be detected.

Ombudsman, temelolarak tüm ülke boyunca etkili olan, vatandaş tabanlı kamusal bir şikâyetkurumu olarak anlaşılmaktadır. Günümüzde farklı uzmanlık alanlarına ayrılmışombudsmanlar ortaya çıkmıştır. Bunlardan biri de bölgesel veya yerel yönetimlerombudsmanıdır. Dünyanın farklıkıtalarından biri olan Avrupa’da da ombudsmanlık kurumları farklı devletdüzeylerinde kurulmuştur. Nitekim Avrupa’da ombudsmanlık kurumunun uygulamaalanı bulduğu yerlerden biri de Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’dir. Bu çalışmanınamacı, dünyanın farklı kıtalarına yayılım göstermiş bulunan ombudsmanlıkkurumunun bir Avrupa kıtası ülkesi olan Türkiye üzerinden genel hatlarıylaörneklenmesinin gerçekleştirilmesidir. Date of Conference: 16-19 May 2016 Conference Name: IEEE 24th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference, SIU 2016 In this paper, we study multi-class classification of tweets, where we introduce highly efficient dimensionality reduction techniques suitable for online processing of high dimensional feature vectors generated from freely-worded text. As for the real life case study, we work on tweets in the Turkish language, however, our methods are generic and can be used for other languages as clearly explained in the paper. Since we work on a real life application and the tweets are freely worded, we introduce text correction, normalization and root finding algorithms. Although text processing and classification are highly important due to many applications such as emotion recognition, advertisement selection, etc., online classification and regression algorithms over text are limited due to need for high dimensional vectors to represent natural text inputs. We overcome such limitations by showing that randomized projections and piecewise linear models can be efficiently leveraged to significantly reduce the computational cost for feature vector extraction from the tweets. Hence, we can perform multi-class tweet classification and regression in real time. We demonstrate our results over tweets collected from a real life case study where the tweets are freely-worded, e.g., with emoticons, shortened words, special characters, etc., and are unstructured. We implement several well-known machine learning algorithms as well as novel regression methods and demonstrate that we can significantly reduce the computational complexity with insignificant change in the classification and regression performance.

Translation starts with a document in one language and ends with a document with the same meaning in another language. Technical communication entails designing and writing a document from scratch in one language. The answer to the question of "Which, of translation or writing, comes first?" seems relatively obvious - the document needs to be written before it can be translated. However, when looking at translation and technical communication as professions and examining how the professionals are trained, the answer is not quite as clear-cut. In the United States, translators and technical communicators have different qualifications, different skills - in particular different language skills - and have degrees in different fields. Only recently has there appeared a certain convergence between the professions. In Europe, and more specifically in France, the profession of technical communicator is quite recent, as are the corresponding academic programs. Many technical communicators came to the profession from translation. The convergence therefore is perceived as being far greater. The purpose of this paper is to launch a comparative study of the competences or skills of translators and technical communicators, based on the existing European Master's in Translation (EMT) list of competences for translators. The goal of this study would be to define the core skills for technical communicators, to examine to what extent they overlap with the competences of translators and ultimately, to establish a referential for training programs in technical communication., Çeviri, kaynak dilde bir belge ile başlar ve hedef dilde aynı anlama gelen bir başka belge olarak son bulur. Bu makalenin amacı, çevirmenler için mevcut Avrupa Çeviride Yüksek Lisans (EMT) yeterlilik listesine dayalı olarak çevirmenlerin ve teknik iletişimcilerin yeterlilikleri veya becerileri hakkında karşılaştırmalı bir çalışma başlatmaktır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, teknik iletişimciler için temel becerileri tanımlamak, çevirmenlerin yetkinlikleri ile ne ölçüde örtüştüğünü incelemek ve nihayetinde teknik iletişim eğitim programları için bir referans oluşturmak olacaktır.

The paper deals with the synthesis of Guar gum and ethyl acrylate (GG-EEA) composite. The synthesized natural polysaccharide composite was used as a corrosion inhibitor to reduce hydrogen evolution and P110 steel corrosion protection in 15% HCl (Hydrochloric acid). The primary corrosion techniques like weight loss, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and potentiodynamic polarization (PDP) was used to analyze the corrosion inhibition process. The PDP proposed that GG-EEA composite is a mixed-type corrosion inhibitor and inhibits corrosion by blocking the active sites presenting over the metal surface. The corrosion inhibition performance of GG alone is 77.5%, and that of GG-EEA is 92.3% at 500 mg/L. The adsorption of GG-EEA onto P110 steel is spontaneous and mixed type, i.e., both physical and chemical. The conformation of GG-EEA molecule adsorption was done using a scanning electron microscope (SEM), Energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDX), Atomic force microscopy (AFM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy studies. Density functional theory (DFT) analysis was done to explore the active sites over the inhibitor in metal-inhibitor interaction. Molecular dynamic simulation (MD) simulations study reveals that GG-EEA has more adsorption capacity than GG alone.

Bu çalışmada; Akdağ (Dursunbey/Balıkesir)’da yayılış gösteren endemik ve nadir taksonlar tespit edilmiş ve IUCN tehdit kategorileri ortaya konmuştur. Çalışmada ayrıca bölgede taksonlar üzerindeki baskı faktörleri de belirlenmiştir. Güncel olarak alanda 42 tane endemik, 2 tane de nadir takson bulunmaktadır. Alandaki endemizm oranı %9.50’dir. Güncel IUCN tehdit kategorilerine göre alanda; CR (Çok tehlikede) 1, EN (Tehlikede) 2, VU (Zarar görebilir) 7, NT (Tehdit altına girebilir) 5 ve LC (En az endişe verici) kategorilerinde 26 takson bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca, alanda DD (Veri yetersiz) kategorisinde 1 taksonun varlığı belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada bazı taksonların yeni IUCN’e göre statüleri de güncellenmiştir. Ayrıca 44 taksonun global düzeyde LC kategorisinde tehdit altında olduğu belirtilmiştir. Araştırma alanında endemik taksonlar açısından ciddi bir tehdit olmamakla birlikte, yangın ve hayvancılık faaliyetleri kısmen de olsa bazı taksonlar için tehdit oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada bu tehditler için çeşitli öneriler sunulmuştur., In this study, endemic and rare species have been determined in Akdağ (Dursunbey/Balıkesir). IUCN threat categories of endemic and rare species were presented in the region.The stress factors on the plants in the region were also determined in the study. Currently, there are 42 endemic and 2 rare plants in the area and the endemism rate in the area is 9.50%. According to the current IUCN; There are CR (Very Endangered) 1, EN (Endangered) 2, VU (Vulnerable) 7, NT (Endangered) 5, LC (Least Concern) 26 and DD (Data Deficient) 1 taxa in the categories. In the paper, the statuses of some taxa according to the new IUCN were also updated. It has also been stated that 44 taxa are under threat in the LC category at global level. In the research area, no serious threat factor has been identified in terms of endemic taxa. Although no serious threat factor has been identified in terms of endemic taxa in the research area, fire and livestock activities in the region are partly a threat for the endemic and rare taxa. In addition, various recommendations have been made in terms of threats.

In this paper, we propose the extended modified Kudryashov method (EMKM) for solving the Biswas-Milovic equation and Gerdjikov-Ivanov equation which are commonly special cases of Schrödinger equation in mathematical physics. We received many new extended traveling wave solutions when the special values of the parameters are taken for these equations which are pointed out by rational function, exponential function and hyperbolic function forms. The results show that EMKM is advantageous mathematical technique for solving nonlinear partial differential equations.

In load frequency control (LFC), it is essential totransmit measurements of control signals from the control center to plant sideand remote terminal units (RTU) to control center. Therefore, time delaysbecome inevitable due to the use of conventional communication channels. Thedynamic performance of LFC system would be degraded by these delays. This paper is dedicated to thedelay-dependent stability of the LFC of hybrid power generation subsystem. Thesystem studied includes wind turbine generator (WTG), photovoltaic system (PV),ultra-capacitor (UC) bank for energy storage, fuel cell (FC) system and dieselgenerator(DG). Delay margin is stated for the upper bound on the delay forstability of LFC system. An analytical method is used to compute delay margins.Delay margins are calculated for wide range of proportional-integral (PI)controller. Such results could be utilized to tune the PI controllers as toachieve a compromise between the dynamic performance and the delay margin. Ithas been determined in which intervals, the controller parameters of theproposed hybrid system can be selected while the system is in stable region.the results are presented in tables and graphs. Simulation study of theproposed system with Matlab / Simulink was performed. The results of thesimulation studies and the theoretical studies showed compatibility. Buçalışmada, böyle bir sistemin modellemesi ve benzetimi yapılmıştır. Gecikmemarjı, LFC sisteminin kararlılık gecikmesinde üst sınırı belirtmektedir.Gecikme marjlarını hesaplamak için analitik bir yöntem kullanılmıştır. Gecikmemarjları, oransal- integral (PI) kontrolörün geniş bir aralığı içinhesaplanmıştır. Bu sonuçlar, PI kontrolör parametrelerini, sistemin dinamik performansıile gecikme marjı arasında dengeli bir seçim yapacak şekilde ayarlamak içinkullanılabilir. Önerilen hibrit sistemin kontrolör parametrelerinin kararlılıkçerçevesinde hangi aralıklarda seçile bilineceği tespit edilerek, tablo vegrafik halinde sunulmuştur. Önerilen sistemin Matlab/Simulink ile bezetimçalışması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Simülasyon çalışmaları ile teorik çalışmaların sonuçları uyumlulukgöstermiştir. Simülasyon çalışmaları önerilen yöntemin etkinliğinidoğrulamaktadır.

Nano yapıların X- ışını kırınımı (XRD) yöntemi kullanılarak karakterizasyonu, bu yapıların bileşimi, örgü zorlanması ve heteroepitaksiyel katmanları hakkında bilgi verir. Bu bilgiler optoelektronik cihazların üretiminde önemli rol oynamaktadır. Bu makalede, yaygın olarak kullanılan GaAlAs malzemesi hakkında genel bilgilerden bahsedilmektedir. Ek olarak, X- ışını kırınım yönteminin malzemelerin karakterizasyonu için önemi, malzemelerin büyütme ve yapının oluşum süreci hakkında önemli bilgiler sağlamasıdır. Epitaksiyel olarak büyütülmüş GaAs/GaAlAs heteroyapılarının yapısal karakterizasyonu X- ışını kırınım yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Deneysel sonuçları karşılaştırmak için Rigaku Global Fit simülasyon programı kullanıldı, simülasyon ile deneysel sonuçların yüksek oranda uyumlu olduğu görüldü., Characterization of nanostructures using X-ray diffraction (XRD) method gives information on the composition, the lattice strain, and heteroepitaxial layers of the structures. These information are useful for fabrication process of optoelectronic devices. In this paper, we give fundamental description to the commonly used material, GaAlAs. In addition, the importance of X ray diffraction method for characterization of the materials provides crucial information for the growth and development process of the materials. Structural characterization of epitaxial growth GaAs/GaAlAs heterostructures are analyzed using the X- ray diffraction (XRD) method. Rigaku Global Fit simulation program is performed to compare the experimental results, and the simulation and the experimental results agree with each other.

Bu makalede, Kenmotsu manifoldlarında konformal Ricci solitonlarını karakterize eden koşullar incelenmiştir. Öncelikle (2?? + 1)-boyutlu ?? ?sınıfından diferensiyellenebilir bir ??2??+1 manifoldunun hemen hemen değme yapısı ve Kenmotsu manifoldların yapısı tanıtılmıştır. Daha sonra, Ricci-recurrent, ?-recurrent, psedo-projektif ?-recurrent, concircular ?-recurrent Kenmotsu manifoldlarının tanımları verilmiştir ve bu tip manifoldlarda konformal Ricci solitonlarının hangi durumlarda daralan, genişleyen veya sabit olduğu şartlar araştırılmıştır. In this paper, we examine the conditions that characterize conformal Ricci solitons in Kenmotsu manifolds. Firstly, almost contact structure of a ?? ? class (2?? + 1)-dimensional differentiable ??2??+1 and the structure of a Kenmotsu manifold are introduced. Then, the definitions of Ricci-recurrent, ? - recurrent, psedo-projektif ? -recurrent, concircular?-recurrent Kenmotsu manifolds are given and the conditions that determine the conformal Ricci solitons in such manifolds are expanding, steady or shrinking are examined.

Theuse of chaotic maps as a random number generator in metaheuristics is a commonissue. These methods, which have a spread spectrum, increase the diversity inthe random selection of heuristic algorithms, resulting in increasedperformance. Tree seed algorithm (TSA) is one of the recently proposedpopulation-based metaheuristic algorithms. Inspired by the growth of trees andseeds in nature, this algorithm has processing phases that use random numbersthroughout the computational process. This paper focuses on improving theperformance of the TSA using chaotic mapping. Five chaotic based TSA’s (CTSA’s)are developed. The developed methods are benchmarked on 24 test functions. The obtained results show that chaotic mappingcontributes to the performance of TSA in terms of both local optima avoidanceand convergence speed., Kaotikharitalama tekniklerinin sezgisel algoritmalarda rastgele sayı üreteci olarakkullanımı giderek yaygınlaşan bir konudur. Doğadaki ağaç ve tohum gelişimini ilham alan bualgoritma, hesapsal süreci boyunca rastgele sayı dizilerini kullanan işlembasamaklarına sahiptir. Bu çalışmada, kaotik haritalama kullanılarak TSA ‘nınperformansında iyileştirmeye odaklanılmıştır. Beş farklı kaotik harita temelliTSA (CTSA) metodu geliştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen metotların performansları 24adet test fonksiyonu üzerinden karşılaştırılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar,kaotik haritalamanın TSA’nın yakınsama ve lokal optimumdan kaçış performansınakatkı sağladığını göstermektedir.

In recent times, popularity of blockchain based cryptocurrencies (bitcoin and ethereum) have been increased. Blockchain system has decentralized peer topeer (P2P) network, all transactions are recorded in a public ledger that canonly be appended. The miners constitutethe nodes of this network and every miner has local copy of ledger. Inblockchain, PoW consensus algorithm is used to verify transaction and give permissionto append new blocks to chain. To get reward, miners compete with each other tocomplete transactions on the peer to peer network. The reward system popularized Bitcoin, which uses block-chain, but at thesame time attracted the atention of the attackers in the block chain. In this paper,current attacks against the block-chain are presented. In the first part,attack types to P2P architecture, consensus protocol and transaction areinvestigated. In this part, 51%, Double Spending, Finney, Vector76, Brute Force,Sybil, Eclipse and Balance attacks are explained and solutions are proposed. Inaddition, pool mining attacks such as block withholding attack (BWH), Poolhoping attack, Blacklisting via Punitive Forking, Feather Forking and briberyattack are presented. In the last part, thefuture of cryptography used in blockchain infrastructure has been discussed andeffects of Post Quantum Cryptography have been mentioned, Son zamanlarda; blok zinciri tabanlı kripto para ödemesistemleri(bitcoin, ethereum) oldukça popüler olmuştur. The pine processionary moth, Taumetopoea pityocampa (Denis & Schiffermüller) (Lepidoptera:Thaumetopoeidae) is one of the most dentrimental insects found in the forestry areas of Turkey and World. Manymethods have been used to control this pest up to now. But, the problem is still going on. The objective of this studyis to determine larvicidal effects of essential oils obtained from Artemisia santanicum L. and Artemisia absinthiumL. on the L1, L2, L3, L4 and L5 stages of T. pityocampa in laboratory conditions. In order to test the toxicity of theoils on larval stages of T. pityocampa, 10 larvae were placed in each Petri dishes (9 × 1.5 cm). After that eachdose of essential oils (10, 15 and 20 μL petri-1) were sprayed on all the instar larvae of T. pityocampa in the petridishes, 4-10 g amounts fresh needles of (red pine) Pinus brutia Ten. were placed to feed the larvae. Petri disheswere covered with parafilm paper by closing. All tests carried out at 25ºC (±1), 65% (±5) relative humidity and14/10 h light/dark photoperiod in laboratory conditions. The sterile water + etanol as control and Dimilin@ 25 WP,a commercial insecticide (%25 Diflubenzuron) as positive control were used. All the tests were made in triplicate.After the exposure, mortality of the larvae was recorded at 12, 24, 36 and 48 h. The toxicity degrees were foundto be variable ranging from 6.66 to 100% mortality. The results show that two plant essential oils have larvicidaleffect on the five instar larvae of T. pityocampa in comparison with controls and can be used to control against T.pityocampa larvae populations., Çam Keseböceği (Taumetopoea pityocampa (Denis & Schiffermüller) (Lepidoptera: Thaumetopoeidae)),Türkiye ve tüm Dünya ormanlık alanlarında bulunan en zararlı böceklerden birisidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı,Artemisia santanicum L. ve Artemisia absinthium L. bitkilerinden elde edilen uçucu yağların, laboratuvar şartlarındaçam keseböceğinin 1., 2., 3., 4. ve 5. dönem larvaları üzerindeki larvasidal etkilerini tespit etmektir. Bu uçucuyağların toksiditesini tespit etmek için her bir petriye (9 × 1.5 cm) 10’ar adet larva konulmuştur. T. pityocampa’nıntüm larva dönemlerine karşı her bir doz (10, 15 ve 20 μL petri-1) uçucu yağın püskürtülmesinden sonra, her petrikabına larvaların beslenmesi için 4-10’ar g taze kızılçam yaprağı (Pinus brutia Ten.) yerleştirilmiş ve petrilerinkapağı kapatılarak, etrafı parafilmle sarılmıştır. Bütün testler, 25 ºC (±1) sıcaklık ve % 65 (±5) orantılı nemde,14/10 aydınlık/karanlık laboratuvar şartlarında yapılmıştır. Kontrol olarak Steril Su+Etanol ve pozitif kontrololarak ise ticari insektisit Dimilin@ 25 WP (%25 Diflubenzuron) kullanılmıştır. Tüm testler 3’er kez tekrarlanmıştır.Uygulamadan sonra, 12., 24., 36. ve 48. saatlerdeki larva ölümleri kaydedilmiştir. Larva ölümleri % 6.66-% 100oranlarında bulunmuştur. Bu sonuçlar, kontrollerle karşılaştırıldığında her iki uçucu yağın, T. pityocampa’nın larvadönemlerinin tamamında larvasidal etkiye sahip olduklarını göstermektedir.

Date of Conference: 2-5 May 2018 In this paper, we study online nonlinear data regression and propose a highly efficient long short term memory (LSTM) network based architecture. Here, we also introduce on-line training algorithms to learn the parameters of the introduced architecture. We first propose an LSTM based architecture for data regression. To diminish the complexity of this architecture, we use an energy efficient operator (ef-operator) instead of the multiplication operation. We then factorize the matrices of the LSTM network to reduce the total number of parameters to be learned. In order to train the parameters of this structure, we introduce online learning methods based on the exponentiated gradient (EG) and stochastic gradient descent (SGD) algorithms. Experimental results demonstrate considerable performance and efficiency improvements provided by the introduced architecture.

Date of Conference: 2-5 May 2018 In this paper, we investigate online parameter learning for Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) architectures in distributed networks. Here, we first introduce an LSTM based structure for regression. Then, we provide the equations of this structure in a state space form for each node in our network. Using this form, we then learn the parameters via our Distributed Particle Filtering based (DPF) training method. Our training method asymptotically converges to the optimal parameter set provided that we satisfy certain trivial requirements. While achieving this performance, our training method only causes a computational load that is similar to the efficient first order gradient based training methods. Through real life experiments, we show substantial performance gains compared to the conventional methods.

In this paper, the Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM) is applied to the fractional Wu-Zhang system and combined KdV-mKdV equation to obtain theirnumerical solutions. The results were compared with analytical solutions. Elde edilen sonuçlar, analitik çözümlerler ile karşılaştırıldı.

Synchrohasor measurement is a common tool to monitor system stability and detect faults in electric power systems and various Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) have been developed for this purpose. Parameter computation methods of PMUs specifically designed for rapidly time-varying voltage cases caused by nonlinear dynamic loads have been an attractive research topic. In this paper, instantaneous amplitudes and phases of the voltage signals are estimated using a method based on quadrature amplitude modulation complying with M class accuracy criteria defined by the IEEE Standard C37.118. It has been shown on simulated voltage data that the proposed method provides synchrophasor results satisfying the accuracy limits defined in IEEE Standard C37.118. The results of the proposed method have also been compared with those of the DFT method and the proposed method has been shown to be more advantages in terms of satisfying the accuracy limits and reducing processing time.

In this study, a method is proposed to determine the parameters of Proportional Integral Derivative Acceleration (PIDA) controller, which are used in the control of higher degree systems, via Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm. Classic controller methods may sometimes be insufficient, especially in the control of higher degree systems. In PIDA controller design, heuristic optimization algorithms, which is one of the recommended methods for these systems, provides successful results. The performance of the PIDA controller obtained by the proposed method in the paper is compared with the gradient search and genetic algorithms in the literature. The unit step response and the frequency response of the controller show the effectiveness of the method.

The multiuser detection (MUD) at the receiver end of the Space Division Multiple Access aided Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (SDMA-OFDM) systems is very crucial for receiver design technologies. Due to the detailed search mechanism, the maximum likelihood (ML) MUD that provides optimal performance is limited to a dramatically increased computational complexity. The QR decomposition with M-algorithm maximum likelihood detection (QRM-MLD) MUD reduces the computational complexity compare with the computational complexity of ML MUD. The minimum mean squared error (MMSE) MUD with low complexity exhibit poor performance. MMSE-successive interference cancellation (SIC) MUD with almost the same complexity provides better bit error rate (BER) performance than linear MMSE MUD. In this paper, Hybrid QRM-MLD-MMSE with SIC adaptive multiuser detection has been proposed for signal detection. The simulation results show that the proposed method significantly reduces the complexity of the system and controls the BER performance of the system at the desired level.

Pedestrian Detection (PD) is one the most studied application areas of object detection. Although an important effort is already given to develop advanced classifiers for self-driving cars (SDC) especially in recent years, studies about onboard railway systems remain very limited. Although the similarity of railway and highway scenarios suggests that systems developed for SDC-PD can be used for rail vehicles, it is also necessary to examine the low level of generalization ability and the high degree of dependence of the PD test performance on the training set. In this paper, the feasibility of PD systems, whose effectiveness on SDC is proved, was examined on railway systems. For this purpose, SDC-PD systems, created with different training benchmarks such as Caltech and INRIA, have been applied to railway system scenes with various difficulties and the results have been examined. The findings show that the direct implementation of classifiers for SDC does not provide sufficient success to come up with specific challenges to railway systems.

In traditional networking architecture, for each problem a specific protocol is dedicated to network devices and these devices are configured manually. Since they are hardware-based, the implementation of new ideas and technologies to these devices is very difficult. However, today's increasing use of smartphones and other mobile data devices has increased the data traffic, and with the addition of service diversity and the needs of users, the existing network structure has become much more complex. Software Defined Networks (SDN) is a new network paradigm that allows a programmable central controller mechanism which separates the control plane from the data plane. With the advantage of a centralized control mechanism, SDN ensures that network structures can respond more quickly to current demands, be more flexible and reprogrammable. In addition, all these processes are implemented at a lower cost compared to traditional networking architecture. To evaluate the performance of SDN architectures, testbeds are used by researchers. In this paper, a small-scale and cost-effective SDN testbed is designed and implemented. The testing environment is realized using Raspberry Pi 3, Floodlight and Open vSwitch. Controller performance has been observed with the MACtracker application.

3B (Üç Boyutlu) kent modellerinin en önemli özelliği farklı mekânsal bilgilerin aynı ortamda bütünleştirilip gösterimine ve karmaşık kent modellerinin oluşturulup bunların yönetimine olanak sağlamasıdır. 3B sanal kent modelleri, arazi modelleri, bina modelleri, bitki modelleri, yollar gibi ulaşım sistemlerini içeren 3B ortamlar ve coğrafi tabanlı şehir verilerinin gösterimini içermektedir. 3B binalar için ölçek kavramı, LoD (Level of Detail) ayrıntı düzeyleriyle ifade edilmektedir. Her bir LoD belirli bir genelleştirme düzeyini gösterir. Bu çalışmanın ana amacı; kent tasarımı yapan tüm disiplinlerin gereksinim duyduğu farklı LoD seviyelerinde üç boyutlu kent modellerini, lazer tarayıcılardan elde edilen nokta bulutu verileri de kullanılarak üretimlerini araştırmaktır. Bu metodun nasıl ve ne şekilde uygulanacağı, yapılacak entegrasyon sonunda nasıl ve ne kalitede bir ürün elde edileceği gibi temellerin tartışılmasıdır. Çalışma sonunda elde edilen model gerçek ölçeğinde fotogrametrik verilerin kullanıldığı yersel lazer tarayıcı destekli üç boyutlu yapı modelidir., The most important feature of 3D urban models is that different spatial information can be integrated and displayed in the same environment and also it is allowing complex urban models can be created and managed. 3D environments that contains land models, building models, vegetation models, transportation systems such as roads and city data that is based on geography can be shown with 3D virtual city models. For 3D buildings, the concept of scale is expressed by LoD (Level of Detail). Each LoD represents a specific generalization level. The main purpose of this study is; investigate the production of three-dimensional city models at different LoD levels required by all urban disciplines using point cloud data obtained from laser scanners. How to apply and, how to get a product at the end of integration will be discussed. The availability and usability of such data will be investigated on this paper. For this purpose, İnce Minareli Medrese, which is the symbol of Konya, was chosen. The result obtained from the study is a terrestrial laser scanner assisted three-dimensional structure model in which photogrammetric data is used in real scale.

The turbine is positioned at four different angles: 0°, 45°, 90°and 135°. For each angular position, velocity and pressure distribution graphswere obtained at wind speeds of 3 m/s, 6 m/s and 9 m/s. The maximum airvelocity was 21.33 m/s for 9 m/s (0°). For all pressure plots the maximumpressure was determined to be 86.36 Pa at 0° and 45°.

Nowadays, it becomes very important to know the level ofinstitutionalization and as a result what improvements they can make fororganizations. Though there are many conceptual studies of institutionalizationin the literature, there is no study based on numerical methods that canprovide a foresight about institutionalization. In this paper, a new model hasbeen proposed by determining concepts that are effective on institutionalizationfrom literature and expert opinions. Firstly, the relationships between theconcepts are taken from the experts linguistically. Linguistic expressions areconverted to numerical values using the center of gravity method (COG) used in fuzzylogic applications. Then, three different scenarios were investigated by usingthe Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (FCMs) algorithm and the future states of the conceptswere determined and interpreted. In the first scenario, an organization withpoorly managed organizational concepts was considered. The institutionalizationtendency in this organization has reached to 0,027 value which is theestimation calculated by FCM algorithm in the future. The second scenario andthe third scenario represents a midlevel and good organization respectively.Institutionalization tendency values were 0.97 for the second and thirdscenarios. However, when the number of iterations representing the time periodis examined, it is seen that the organization thought in the third scenario hasreached this value before 9 iterations. This is because the organization in thethird scenario is well managed in the current situation. With the developedmodel, the most effective concepts on institutionalization were alsoidentified. It has been determined that the most important concepts affectinginstitutionalization are process management, information management andstrategic management. Öncelikle uzmanlardan konseptler arasındaki ilişkiler dilselolarak alınmıştır. Dilsel ifadeler, bulanık mantık uygulamalarında kullanılanağırlık merkezi yöntemiyle sayısal değerlere dönüştürülmüştür. Daha sonra,Bulanık Bilişsel Haritalar(BBH) algoritması kullanılarak 3 farklı senaryoincelenmiş ve konseptlerin gelecekteki durumları tespit edilip, yorumlanmıştır.Geliştirilen model ile aynı zamanda kurumsallaşma üzerindeki en etkilikonseptler ve geleceğe yönelik öngörüler de belirlenmiştir.

Son 20 yılda üretim teknolojilerinde yaşanan gelişmeler ve üretilen ürünlerin küresel pazara sunulabilmesi, satın alınabilecek ürünlere ilişkin çok sayıda alternatife sahip olan müşterin beklentilerini artmıştır. It is neccesary to analysis quality of manufacturing products in comparison with their competitors so as to increase their market share and gain competition edge. Fuzzy data envelopment analysis method is one of the methods for using determine best enterprise in terms of product quality and assesing product quality of enterprises in business a certain sector. In this paper, analysis of product quality efficiency was implemented by fuzzy data envelopment analysis to machinery manufacturing sector in business enterprises in Istanbul, Izmir, Kocaeli, Ankara and Kayseri.

Sosyal ilişkilerin sosyal veekonomik hayattaki artan öneminin kavranmasıyla ilişkiler ve etkilerininaraştırılması gerekliliğini doğmuştur. Sosyal ve ekonomik işlemlerde ekonomikve fiziki sermayenin yanı sıra parasal olmayan beşeri, kültürel ve sosyal sermayetürleri de neo-klasik sermaye kuramları olarak kabul edilmiştir. Alongside with the economic and physical capital, non-financialcapital types that are human, cultural and social capital accepted as theneo-classic capital theories in social and economic transactions. Particularly ineconomic relations, increase of information communication technologies, outnumberedinteractions of individuals with others and naturally excess weak ties in lifehave resulted in the quest of trust in the relations. Social capital theory hasbeen developed due to mentioned reasons since 1990s. By time, the theory’sscope has been expanded and studied in different academic fields. It has alsoproduced its own new micro theories. As a consequence, the characteristics and thetypes of social capital theory have been diversified. In this paper, theindividual and collective characteristics of social capital theory areassessed. The differences of social capital theory from other capital types arementioned. The historical development of the theory is explained along with thecritics and individual/collective characteristics. The bonding and bridgingsocial capital concepts, which are subjected to change based on theindividual’s positions in the relations, are clarified. The negative results onindividuals and society of this capital type are mentioned as well.

1950’lerin ikinci yarısından itibaren planlamada sistem yaklaşımı yaygın olarak kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Bu sayede, kentlerin karmaşık yapısı, kaos ve karmaşıklık teorileri ile modellenebilmektedir. Kentin fiziksel yapısı, ölçekten bağımsız, düzensiz ve kendini tekrar eden bir yapıya sahip olan fraktaller ile analiz edilebilir. Bu makalenin amacı, kent çeperlerindeki mülkiyet geometrisi ile kentleşme arasındaki ilişkinin araştırılmasıdır. Bu bağlamda, Sivas il merkezinin kenarında yer alan 10 mahalledeki kadastro parsellerinin ve yolların fraktal boyut değerleri, sırasıyla 1,79 ve 1,32 olarak hesaplanmış ve nüfus verileri ile ilişkileri araştırılmıştır. After the second half of 1950s, system approach has been widely used in planning studies. In this way, complex structure of cities can be modelled with chaos and complexity theories. Urban physical structure can be analyzed with fractals of which characteristics contain scale-independence, irregularity and self-similarity. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between ownership geometry and urbanization. In this context, fractal dimension of cadastral parcels and streets were executed as (respectively) 1.79 and 1.32 for ten districts located in the fringes of the Sivas downtown area and looked for their relationship with population.

Mobile devices begin to spread increasingly recently to offer a lot of services which personal computers offer. This condition has led to increase in the number of security threats in mobile devices and services. In this paper, it has been made a research on mobile malware and malware detection techniques. Within the scope of the study, a a permission based detection system based on the machine learning methods for Android malware was developed. Developed system is analyzed by using Random Forest, Support Vector Machine and Artificial Neural Networks algorithms.

Nowadays, along with the development of information technologies, storage and analysis of biomedical datasets are easy in health sector. In this area, Machine Learning methods provide a great contribution for evaluation and interpretation of data. In this paper, in addition to Support Vector Machines, Decision Tree, K-Nearest Neighbors, Naive Bayes and Dictionary Learning methods, Random Feature Subspaces (RDL) and Random Instance Subspaces (BDL) methods which are the ensembles of Dictionary Learning are used in biomedical data classification. In the test results, SVM and Dictionary Learning methods, RDL and BDL, which are generated using random feature/instance subspaces achieve optimum accuracy results.

Buçalışmada farklı alanlarda yapılan bilgisayarda benzetim modeli çalışmalarıincelenmiştir. Yapılan çalışmaların ortak özelliği, gerçek ortamda gözlenmesive incelenmesi zor olan karmaşık sistemlerden oluşmaktadır ve bu sistemlerianaliz edebilmek için benzetim modeline ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Modellenensistemin hedefi gerçek sistemi yansıtmasıdır. In scene labeling, a superpixel algorithm is used first to segment the image into visually consistent small regions; then several feature descriptors are computed and classification is performed for each superpixel. In this paper, Kernel Codebook Encoding (KCB) of superpixel features is proposed. In KCB feature vectors are mapped to multiple codewords in a soft manner, instead of the usual hard quantization. The weights assigned to the codewords are determined by a kernel distance function. KCB method is used for encoding of SIFT features in SuperParsing image parsing algorithm. The developed approach is tested on the SIFT Flow dataset consisting of 2,688 images and 33 classes, and achieves 2.7% increase in parsing accuracy over SuperParsing. Thanks to their interesting optical and electrical properties, conductive polymers are one of the materials to have highest potential utility in technological applications. But theirs usage in practical applications are limited due to poor solubility, cannot be easily processed and lack of good mechanical strength and stability. In this work synthesis of conductive polymer was achieved in environmentally friendly aqueous dispersion of polystyrene sulfonic acid instead of harmful organic solvent (dichloromethane, acetonitrile, chloroform,). Thus, a water-insoluble monomer was polymerized in an aqueous medium instead of organic solvents which are harmful to environment and human health. Also, conductive polymer obtained in aqueous medium has superior optical and electrical properties than the conductive polymer obtained in the presence of organic solvents. This paper has been shown that other conductive polymers synthesized in hazardous organic solvents can be synthesized in aqueous media with superior optic and electrical properties which is important for the technological application.

In this paper, a reliable and real time tangible user interface system developed for the air drum game which is used both for game and computer based training programs is presented. A user can perform a play action in six different directions using electronic drum sticks. A developed algorithm detects the direction of moving stick by processing sensor data taken from these sticks. Information about the stick which is moved and its direction are sent to the sound system to play the sound file of the relevant drum instrument. In this way the user is presented with a realistic drum experience. The developed system has been tested by different users in real world and its performance has been reported. The results verify the reliability and usability of the electronic drum game. Matematiksel modelleme, matematik eğitimi ile verilmeye çalışılan tüm temel becerilerin gelişmesine önemli katkı sağlayacağı düşünüldüğü için matematik dersi öğretim programlarında ve dünyadaki matematik eğitimi reform çalışmalarında yer almaktadır. Matematiksel modelleme süreci öğrenenler için zor bir süreç olabilmektedir. Bu süreç için teknoloji gerekli bir araç olarak belirtilmektedir. Ancak alanyazında teknolojinin matematiksel modelleme sürecine etkisinin nasıl olduğunun ayrıntılı olarak açıklanması gerektiği ve bu tür araştırmaların olmadığı ifade edilmektedir. Bu bağlamda, araştırmanın amacı matematiksel modelleme sürecinin teknoloji ile desteklenen ve desteklenmeyen ortamlarda nasıl şekillendiğini incelemektir. Çalışmada, matematiksel modelleme süreci Stillman, Galbraith, Brown ve Edward (2007) tarafından ortaya konulan süreç modeli dikkate alınarak incelenmiştir. Bu araştırma eylem araştırması olarak desenlenmiştir. Çalışmanın katılımcılarını 33 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Veri analizi, veri toplama süreciyle eş zamanlı olarak yürütülmüştür. Süreçte katılımcıların düşüncelerini birbirine sesli olarak aktardığı bir ortamın olması, yazılı çözüm kağıtları, grupların çözümlerini içeren ekran kayıtları, gözlem notları ve grup üyeleriyle yapılan ayaküstü mülakatlar öğretmen adaylarının modelleme sürecindeki zihinsel süreçlerinin ortaya çıkarılmasında etkili bir rol oynamıştır. Mathematical modeling of daily-life situations is a process that may be difficult for learners. Technology is considered a necessary tool for this complex mathematical modeling cycle. Yet, it is stated in the literature that it is necessary to explain how technology affects the mathematical modeling process and such research is not available. In this context, the purpose of this research is to study how mathematical modeling process is shaped in environments aided or not aided with technology. The mathematical modeling process in the study was examined in consideration of the process model introduced by Stillman, Galbraith, Brown and Edward (2007). The research was designed as action research. The participants of the study were 33 pre-service teachers. The data analysis was performed synchronously with the data collection process. The fact that the environment enabled the participants to communicate thoughts to each other vocally; written solution papers; screencasts that include groups’ solutions; observation notes; and onelegged interviews with group members played an active role in revealing pre-service teachers’ mental processes during modeling. First, in order to be able to analyze the violin sound recordings, it is necessary for the music piece to be segmented into the notes forming the music piece itself For this, it is necessary to correctly determine the starting times (onsets) of the notes. Because of the envelope characteristic that the violin sound has, it is more difficult to detect the note onset than other musical instrument sounds such as piano and guitar. By using the complex spectral difference method, the note onsets were determined, then by determining the fundamental frequency the note of the violin sound was found. The BER performance of DCI-SIM is compared with SIM, pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) and, enhanced unipolar orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (eU-OFDM) for different spectral efficiencies. Using analytical derivations and simulation results, we show that the DCI-SIM is the most power efficient modulation technique among others, and that the power efficiency increases with the spectral efficiency. Thanks to the new technologies of remote sensors, remote sensor data which increases in size exponentially and transforms to big data with increasing spatial and spectral resolutions causes great difficulties in storage, transportation and processing. Cross-correlation (CC) and generalized cross-correlation (GCC) methods have been applied to the obtained signals and their performances have been compared. Bu çalışmada, yapıların dinamik analizinde kullanılan sönüm modelleri teorik ve deneysel olarak incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla deneylerde, sarsma tablasına sabitlenmiş çok serbestlik dereceli yapı modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın teorik kısmında, sonlu elemanlar yöntemine dayanan SAP2000 bilgisayar yazılımı kullanılmıştır. Sayısal analizler, deneyler sonucunda elde edilen verilerden faydalanılarak, SAP2000 yazılımında oluşturulan modeller üzerinde farklı deprem verileriyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Farklı sönüm modelleriyle gerçekleştirilen analizler ile deneyler sonucunda elde edilen verilerin karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır. Karşılaştırma neticesinde elde edilen sonuçların uyumlu olduğu görülmüş ve sonuçlar detaylı olarak sunulmuştur In this study, the damping models used the dynamic analysis of the structures have been investigated experimentally and theoretically. For this purpose, structure model having multi degree of freedom have been clamped to the shake table and experimentally tested. Then, by using SAP2000 computer software based on the finite element method, numerical models have been formed by taking advantage of the result obtained in the experimental study and numerical analyses which have been performed on different earthquake data. Besides, the analyses carried out different damping models have been compared with the experimental tests results. It has been observed that the results obtained from both theoretical and experimental studies are quite compatible and the results have been presented in the paper

Günümüzde nüfus artışı, kentleşme, endüstrileşme gibi gelişmelere paralel olarak çevresel problemlerde de artış görülmektedir. Sözü edilen bu çevresel problemler arasında katı atıklar tarafından oluşan hava, su ve toprak kirliliği özellikle dikkatleri üzerlerine çekmektedir. Atık yönetim sistemi uygun bir şekilde yönlendirilmedikçe, yönetimler her yıl katlanarak artan atık yüküyle karşı karşıya kalacaklardır. Meydana gelen bu atıkların yerel yönetimlerce kaynağında toplanarak uygun bir şekilde bertaraf edilmesi gerekmektedir. Evsel katı atıkların yanı sıra ülkemizde kamu binalarında meydana gelen katı atıklar da önemli bir yer oluşturmaktadır. Özellikle okul, üniversite gibi eğitim mekânlarında ekonomik değeri yüksek atıkların oluşması oldukça muhtemeldir. Yapılan bu çalışma da Artvin Çoruh Üniversitesi Seyitler Yerleşkesi’nde meydana gelen katı atıkların nitelikleri incelenmiştir. İnceleme, eğitim öğretimin devam ettiği 19.10.2016 - 14.12.2016 tarihleri arasında dört noktada yapılmış ve güz dönemini temsil edecek şekilde kurulmuştur. Atık bileşiminin ayrıştırılması aşamasında, yerleşke genelinden toplanan atıkların %42,77’si organik, %7,23 kağıt, %6,19 plastik, %4,37 cam, %0,39 metal, %1,09 tekstil, %37,79 septik kişisel kullanım maddelerinden oluştuğu belirlenmiştir. Çalışma ile ilerleyen dönemlerde geri dönüşüm odaklı atık yönetim planlamalarının hayata geçirilmesinde zaman, miktar ve atık niteliği ile nasıl değerlendirilebileceği üzerine genel bir fayda sağlaması hedeflenmiştir. In parallel with the recent developments in population growth, urbanization, industrialization, a rising in environmental problems has also been observed. Among these environmental problems mentioned, air, water and soil pollution caused by solid wastes attract attention in particular. Unless the waste management system is appropriately guided, managements will be faced with exponentially increasing waste load every year. The waste produced should be collected and appropriately disposed by the local governments at the source. In addition to solid waste generated domestically, the solid waste produced in public buildings of our country also constitute an important place. Especially in educational places such as schools and universities, it is highly probable that high economic value wastes are formed. In this study, the qualities of the solid wastes generated in the Seyitler Campus of Artvin Çoruh University were examined. The study was conducted in four locations between 19.10.2016 and 14.12.2016, during the continuation of education to represent the fall semester. In the sortation process of the waste composition, it was determined that the wastes collected from the campus consisted of 42,77 % organic, 7,23 % paper, 6,19% plastic, 4,37% glass and 0,39% metal, 1,09% textile, 37,79% septic personal use. The aim of the study is to provide a general benefit on how the characteristics of time, quantity and waste can be evaluated in carrying out waste management plans in the future by focusing on recycling

Bu çalışmada karbon elyaf takviyeli polimer matrisli kompozitlerin kenar budama işlemlerinin işlenebilirliği ve yüzey kalitesi araştırılmıştır. Frezeleme tipi, takım tipi, kesme hızı ve ilerleme hızının, yüzeyin ilerleme ve ilerlemeye dik doğrultusunda oluşan yüzey pürüzlülüğüne ve deformasyon davranışına olan etkileri araştırılmıştır. Üç farklı kesici ağız sayısına (2,4,6) sahip mikro taneli karbür kesici takımlarla dik ve eğimli çevresel frezeleme işlemi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Kenar budama işlemleri için kullanılan frezeleme parametreleri Taguchi deney tasarımına göre uyarlanmıştır. Parametrelerin işlenebilirlik çıktıları üzerine etkilerinin katkı oranları varyans analizi (ANOVA) ile istatistiksel olarak belirlenmiştir. İşlenebilirlik çıktıları olan yüzey pürüzlülüğü ve deformasyon miktarlarına göre eğimli yanal frezeleme işleminin dik frezelemeye göre daha üstün olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Dik yan yüzey frezelemeyle yapılan kenar budama işlemlerinde Tip-II delaminasyon yani kenarlarda kesilmeden uzayan uzun elyaf demetlerinin bulunduğu gözlenmektedir. Eğimli frezeleme ise Tip I-II delaminasyonun aynı anda ortaya çıkarmakta yani kenarlarda kesilmemiş uzun elyaf demetleri ve kenardan içe doğru kırılmış tabakalar oluşturmaktadır. Kesici ağız sayısı ve kesme hızı arttıkça ve ilerleme hızı azaldıkça enine ve boyuna olan yüzey pürüzlülüğü ile deformasyon azalmaktadır. En iyi işleme koşulları kesme hızının en yüksek seviyede, ilerlemenin en düşük seviyede 6 ağızlı kesicide eğimli frezeleme koşullarında sağlanmıştır., The main focus of this paper is to investigate the surface quality and machinability of the edge trimming process of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) material. Measurement of transverse and longitudinal surface roughness and deformation behavior are carried out for different combinations of cutting speed, feed per tooth, tool type and milling type to evaluate the machined surface quality. Three different flutes (2,4,6) micro grain carbide end mill tools were used for vertical and inclined peripheral milling. Edge trimming experiments were conducted under different experimental parameters and their levels according to the Taguchi design of experiment method. The contribution ratio of parameters on machinability outputs has statistically analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). According to machinability outputs such as surface roughness and deformation types, the inclined peripheral milling is more suitable than vertical peripheral milling. Edge trimming by vertical peripheral milling generates Type II delamination which consists of long uncut fibers protruding from the trimmed edges. Edge trimming by inclined milling generates Type I-II delamination which consists of short uncut fibers protruding from the trimmed edges and where plies have broken inwards in the same time. The transverse and longitudinal surface roughness and deformation decreased with increased number of teeth, cutting speed and decreased feed per tooth. The best machining quality was obtained when cutting at the highest level of cutting speed, lowest feed rate and 6 number of flute in inclined milling.

Semantic place prediction problem is the process of giving semantic names, such as school, home, office, to locations. Different than the localization problem where the coordinates of a place are predicted, the aim is to semantically characterize the location. While the GPS coordinates of a place can be utilized in solving the problem, phone usage patterns of the users in that location can be used as well. In this paper, the aim is to semantically classify locations of smart phone users utilizing the data collected from wireless interfaces and the motion sensors available on the phones with machine learning algorithms. The efficiency of features extracted from raw data is analysed in terms of metrics such as accuracy, using different classification algorithms. The results show that, while random forest and decision tree algorithms achieve 66% accuracy with only temporal features, adding features from device properties and activity features increases the accuracy up to 99%.
