The quality of software can be determined through software process quality assessment and certification. It involves with numerous evaluation criteria and software development practices. More importantly, these evaluation criteria and practices are not fixed and needs further improvement from time to time due to the shifts in the environment, business needs and current trends. As a result, there is a need for a mechanism that can systematically organise those evaluation criteria and practices to ensure the sustainability of the assessment and certification process. Furthermore, based on the literature, currently there is a lack in the quality of test cases for Agile software development process. The testing process is critical for demonstrating the quality of a software product, however it is only partially addressed in the existing software process quality assessment and certification models. The Agile testing practices need to be improved in the existing software process quality assessment and certification reference standard so that it can tolerate with changes. Majority of the existing software process quality assessment and certification models have not addressed sustainable software architecture. Consequently, this research is working towards developing a sustainable software architecture for the software process quality assessment and certification. As a beginning, this paper illustrates the conceptual model which will be used as base to develop a sustainable architecture for software process quality assessment and certification. The contributions of this study straddle research perspectives of Software Process Assessment and Certification with the existence of the sustainable software architecture. Currently, there are several drawbacks in the existing university timetable system, including students do not know the class hour of subjects that they are going to register during the registration period. This situation has resulting in clashing in the class hour of the registered subjects. In addition, some students are not aware of this situation until it is too late from them to drop and register other subjects. This particularly happened to those who has more than two registered subjects clash and resulting in overlook at the rest of clashed subjects. Besides, students find it is inconvenient to view the timetable through the current timetable system. Thus, the development of an Android based mobile application that able to notify students if the class hour of the subjects they registered are overlapping is presented in this paper. The application also able to manage the student timetable by reporting details such as venue, day and the time of clashed subjects. Then, the application will suggest student to select elective subjects or subjects that students wish to retake to prevent clashing in class hour. The software development of the application is based on the Agile model and using rule-based algorithm. The application is developed in Android Studio by using Java as the programming language and all data is stored in Firebase Realtime Database. In today's world, mobile phones are no longer just simple communication devices but have become an integral part of our daily lives. Smartphones have revolutionized the way we interact with the world, and mobile applications have played a significant role in this change. With the rapid advancements in technology and the increasing popularity of these devices, the use of mobile applications has skyrocketed. Thanks to the use of GPS and sensors like the compass and accelerometer, new location-based applications have emerged, offering a more detailed view of the surroundings. This paper focuses on the development of a web-based navigation application for the SRMIST Chennai campus. The thesis outlines the initial thought process and the steps leading to the final system environment. The graphical user interface design approach for implementing a pedestrian graphical user interface for various devices is also discussed in detail. The available floor plans provided by the civil department were integrated to make the navigation application more precise, and the Open Street Map API was used to enhance the services. An agile development process was followed, and various incremental models were created, which are also discussed in the thesis. The resulting application enables the user to find paths to specific locations on campus and explore the surrounding environment. Additionally, each building information page includes an interaction section that fosters community engagement. Rapidly increasing customer demands, competition, continuous changing scenario and accelerating pace of technological developments have put tremendous pressure on the business organization to deliver quality products at lower cost. As the lean has been considered in different ways and has been implemented to varying extent in different sectors of the economy this paper aims to investigate as to how “lean” is viewed in software development projects and status of implementation in software development projects. First, application of lean in different types of projects viz. construction, healthcare, aerospace, new product development and service is discussed. Secondly, application of lean to SD projects is investigated at three levels: philosophy, principles (value, value stream, flow, pull and perfection) and practices/tools. One major challenge in profile extrusion is the prediction of shrinking and warpage, leading to high amounts of off-specification goods, especially during start-up and product change. The determination of optimal process parameters requires either long trials or highly experienced line operators. There are numerous contributing factors to shrinking and warpage both in the planning and operating phase. Not only the die design, but also specific temperatures in the extruder, die and cooling setup during production contribute to shrinking and warpage. Cross-domain collaborations in the Cluster of Excellence "Internet of Production" enable agile research concerning the enhancement of Industry 4.0 applications. Real-time data analysis with model reduction and machine learning is used to build an application-specific Digital Shadow, which can be used for the development of an app-based decision support system for line operators, helping them to quickly determine the optimal process parameters during operation. In a first step, a measurement system was developed, enabling the retrofit of existing analogue extrusion lines. This is not only useful for general quality management purposes, but also a necessary step for creating an interface between the extrusion plant and the industry 4.0 network containing the machine learning backend. For the collection of training data for the machine learning backend of the decision support system, a modular profile extrusion die with exchangeable end plates suitable for three different profiles was rheologically and thermally designed. In the three different profiles, asymmetric cooling behaviour leads to different degrees of warpage. A common data base is developed, comprised of live data from the extrusion line, archive data from previous extrusion trials and archive data from cooling simulations. A fourth data set is created using model order reduction methods. Collectively, this common data base lays groundwork for the development of an invertible neural network, which creates a current Digital Shadow selecting the appropriate data from the four data sets. Several organizations have adopted Agile software development methods without reforming their performance appraisal. An Agile-compliant performance appraisal should be reformed and aligned to Agile values, principles, and practices. However, there is a paucity of empirical studies that focus on an Agile-compliant performance appraisal. Even though literature indicates several improvements towards an Agile-compliant performance appraisal, we strongly believe that there are more assessment criteria need to be explored through intensive literature. Suitable assessment methods for an Agile-compliant performance appraisal also need to be discovered. Therefore, this study gathered quantitative data through online survey involving 31 Agile practitioners based in Malaysia, Jordan, and New Zealand. Currently, software development organizations (SDOs) attempt to deliver their software products quickly, within the prescribed period, and with the highest quality and lowest cost, yet this is proven a big challenge for them. Agile Kanban method recently is gaining increasing attention and popularity, due to its numerous advantages that make it performs better than other methods in terms of managing software projects. Beside of that, it has a board that used to visualize the workflow and monitor the project progress. However, various studies have shown that this method has significant challenges that negatively impact the scheduling of the development process. Consequently, late delivery of software projects may occur, thus the rate of projects' failures will be increased. This paper aims to identify the challenges and criteria that affect the progress monitoring task of Agile Kanban method using a narrative review method, whereby this review method is adopted to identify and summarize what has been previously published, avoid duplications, and seek new study areas which are not yet addressed. Finally, the findings of this study would be used to develop an improved software project monitoring task model of Agile Kanban method. This start-up was proposed as a solution for preparing a wedding in the midst of a pandemic. This start-up was created due to the limited choices of wedding vendors for brides in preparing for their weddings, and due to a lack of trusted wedding organizer service providers in providing services in the form of managing, designing, and arranging wedding events from pre-event to completion of the event. The quality of WO services is still low based on disagreements that reach more than 65%. In addition, many wedding organizer's businesses are not flexible in following consumer requests since they usually offer service in form of a package, so this is our opportunity to develop NYC (Nikah Yuk Company) : A Start-Up for Your Dream Wedding, so the customer can build their dream wedding with unlimited choices of wedding vendors. The functional requirements of this application include 2 users, namely consumers and vendor partners. The services available in this application are Make-up, Wedding dress, Catering, Venue, Entertainment, Costume and Wedding Organizer. In order to ensure the quality of vendor partners, a verification process is carried out so that all services and products match the existing descriptions. In the development process of this start-up the authors apply agile development methods. Agile development methods help application developers deliver products in a timely manner from the operational stages of analysis and design, it also reduces the risk of non-technical software implementation failures and if a failure occurs in any time of system development, the material loss is relatively small. Implementation of IT systems in Government are different from IT implementations in other sectors since there are rigid requirements of compliance as well as adaptability to agile requirements. Hence monitoring the implementation of these IT programs in the Government sector require adoption of Project management tools from both Traditional and Agile project management methods. This study involves identification of relevant project management tools required for e-Governance projects which will help the project managers in the smooth implementation of the projects. A Delphi study was conducted among 50 professionals in the e-Governance sector to identify the most commonly used project management tools adopted in their projects. The results helped to build three categories of project management tools as High, medium, low and aligned to the various phases of project management. The results of this study will serve as a toolkit for practicing project managers in e-governance, on the most essential project management tools required for monitoring their projects to ensure compliance as well as meeting the dynamic requirements of e-governance projects. The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) project is an investment in software development, data migration, and infrastructure development carried out by the organization to achieve value or benefit for the organization. The ICT project can be developed using a traditional approach but must be rigid and systematic so that it does not support the dynamics of current changes such as volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA). The ICT project development approach following the VUCA is an agile approach, where the project will be managed iteratively and incrementally so that the organization can receive the project value quickly and accurately. Unfortunately, not all organizations can accept and deal with this change and switch from traditional to agile development, especially for government organizations, where the nature of the organization is more bureaucratic than agile, thereby increasing the challenges in agile adoption. Therefore, this research is focused on determining the success factors carried out by organizations in adopting agile. Agile adoption success factors were obtained from a literature review, which resulted in 36 factors from 5 dimensions which experts then verified through online surveys. The survey was analyzed using the Fuzzy Delphi method with factor acceptance indicators based on the defuzzification value used for factor ranking, the threshold value, d-construct ≤0.2, and the expert consensus value ≥75%. The analysis results with the Fuzzy Delphi method produce 4 discarded factors, 32 retained factors, and a ranking for each factor. The discarded factors and the success factors with the highest ranking, the factors that fall into the defuzzification value range of 0.680 to 0.800, were analyzed more deeply by using the interview method to the expert. The 10 highest success factors were found and analyzed more deeply by experts to be used as recommendations for agile adoption success factors that can be used in government. The success factors are management support, management commitment, culture of expressing opinion, adaptive nature and involvement of project leaders, independent team, focus on customer needs, focus on agile requirements, deliver project results on a regular basis, prioritizing important feature development, and projects that have a small team. Information system technology has developed from time to time. Not only in terms of hardware and software, but the coding technique has also changed. This change certainly affects the existing and future business processes. Various fields of science, including agriculture, also utilize information systems to improve quality and services in the agricultural sector. The Indonesian government strongly supports the activities of improving information system technology in agriculture. Dutatani's research team has also developed an agricultural information system (SIP), which has been consistently developed since 2016 towards precision agriculture. Along with the development of SIP technology, it requires re-validation of business process needs compared to changes in information system technology. As evidenced by previous research, many technologies have been tried to apply to SIP development and generate code smells. Therefore, this study aims to apply the Requirement Validation Approach using Model and Prototyping (ReVAMP) which is suitable for Agile software development conditions. Through several iterations and following the code smell instructions from previous studies, this study succeeded in making business process changes by 37% and simplifying data attributes by 56%. In recent years simulation has been considered as a key decision-making tool in various streams of sciences. Industrial processes like planning, designing, modelling and pre-production evaluations become agile and simulation studies have been regarded as one of the best tools for decision-making tool. The study in this article sheds light in the food processing operations and the importance of simulation at strategic as well as tactical level. In this article, a small and medium scale level food processing industry is selected and experimented in a generic simulation software tool. The objectives of this study are the production improvements with effective processing line operations and simultaneously reducing the processing time. The reduction in the production wastages directly inhabits the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the products being manufactured. Taking full advantage of the simulation tool one can easily simulate the as-is processes and experiment the various other approaches for improvements without affecting present operations. This approach significantly reduces the physical process reengineering and costs involved with it. Changes in software development methods should lead to revision and reformation of an organization's performance appraisal system. Several organizations, however, have done a transition to Agile software development methods without reforming the organization's performance appraisal. The performance appraisal should be aligned with Agile values, principles, and practices, which advocate interactions, collaborations, teamwork, and knowledge transfer. This research aims to reform an Agile-compliant performance appraisal with the following objectives: i) to determine assessment criteria of an Agilecompliant performance appraisal, ii) to construct an Agile-compliant performance appraisal model, iii) to validate an Agilecompliant performance appraisal model that aligns with Agile values and practices. This research comprises of four main phases which are theoretical study, expert reviews, surveys, and evaluation of the model. Expert reviews on components of Agilecompliant performance appraisal and surveys among Agile practitioners will lead to the development of an Agile-compliant performance appraisal model.
