SELF-propagating high-temperature synthesis , *EXOTHERMIC reactions , *TITANIUM carbide , *COMBUSTION , *ENTROPY - Abstract
The advantage of combustion synthesis is the ability to produce composites from powders in a single technological step, using the heat of an exothermic reaction, in a fast and energy-efficient manner. Ceramic-metal composites TiC–High-Entropy Alloy (HEA) CoCrFeNiMn were fabricated by combustion synthesis from granular mixtures. The content of the metal binder components varied from 10 to 30 wt% and the combustion velocity and temperature gradually decreased as the binder content increased. Scaling up synthesis requires clarification of the parametric range for implementing a safe combustion mode. The impurity gas content and the range of safe conductive combustion were determined from known theoretical models and experimental combustion velocities of samples of granules of 0.6 and 1.1 mm size. The main phases of the product were titanium carbide with up to 3 at. % Cr and HEA CrCoFeNiMn with a reduced Mn content compared to the equimolar composition. The content of secondary phases Cr 7 C 3 and carbon did not exceed 5 wt%. The use of granular mixtures solved the problem of significant sintering of exothermic powder mixtures containing metal binder during combustion. After synthesis, the granules retain their size and do not sinter together, making it easy to grind the sample and obtain a TiC-HEA composite powder. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This study investigated the performance of High-Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF)-sprayed Titanium Carbide (TiC) and TiC + 50C (50%TiC + 50%CoNi) coatings on SS316 steel under three-body abrasion conditions. The microstructural analysis revealed a homogeneous distribution of TiC particles within the TiC coatings, while the TiC + 50C coatings exhibited a more complex microstructure due to the presence of Co-Ni alloy. Mechanical testing demonstrated the superior microhardness of TiC coatings compared to the SS316 substrate, suggesting enhanced wear resistance. Slurry abrasion tests indicated reduced mass loss rates for both TiC and TiC + 50C coatings compared to uncoated SS316 steel, with TiC coatings exhibiting superior resistance to abrasive wear. Post-abrasion examination revealed distinct wear patterns, including abrasive chipping, plowing marks, crater formation, wear traces, and surface ruggedness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The lack of adequate educommunicative training often results in the problematic use of ICT by adolescents, leading to various issues such as anxiety, depression, isolation, and the deterioration of intra- and interpersonal relationships, language impoverishment, and even aggression. In relation to the latter, the significant increase in child-to-parent violence in recent years is noteworthy, emerging as a concerning problem in multiple countries. Therefore, this study conducts a systematic review based on the PRISMA method to identify the most suitable instruments for assessing potential inappropriate use of ICT in adolescents and the child-to-parent violence stemming from it. The databases employed include Web of Science, Scopus, ProQuest, WorldCat, PubMed, PubPsych, and Dialnet, yielding a total of 224 instruments. Of these, fifteen scales were analyzed based on their characteristics and psychometric properties. After applying exclusion criteria, the ERA-RSI scale, the UPNT Questionnaire, and the CPV-Q-P were chosen. The complementarity of these three instruments allows for an exploration of the issue’s current state and provides a holistic perspective that facilitates the design of appropriate educommunicative training benefiting all stakeholders and establishes measures to prevent both the inappropriate use of ICT and manifestations of child-to-parent violence arising from it. AUTISM spectrum disorders , *MEANS of communication for people with disabilities , *CHILD development , *CHILDREN with autism spectrum disorders , *EDUCATIONAL technology , *COMMUNICATIVE disorders - Abstract
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) significantly impacts communicative, social, and behavioral skills, especially in children with Level 3 ASD. Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems can help address these challenges. Aided augmented input emerges as an AAC strategy that enhances expression and comprehension through visual and verbal inputs from the communicator. Additionally, the development of information and communication technologies (ICT) has enabled their educational and therapeutic use to support individuals with ASD, providing versatile and accessible tools that facilitate learning, interaction, and skill development. This study aims to analyze the effects of combining aided augmented input with a multimodal ICT support called EC+, compared to ARASAAC paper-based resources, on communicative, social, and behavioral skills. A quasi-experimental design was employed to compare the effects of both resources, including two groups of 6 children each, all with Level 3 ASD. The results showed significant improvements with both resources, but the ICT support proved more effective in the areas of communication and behavior. It is concluded that EC+ offers a more interactive and effective approach to enhancing the overall development of children with ASD, complementing paper-based resources in a valuable and innovative way. Promoting spatial intelligence and intuition in secondary school is critical for future architecture and engineering professionals to develop their skills. Secondary schools, based mainly on digital tools, work in this direction. However, given the performance of undergraduate students, there is still room for improvement in acquiring this skill. The main drawbacks identified in developing spatial intelligence using digital tools are the need for more development of spatial vision and its lack of correlation with the physical environment. This work aims to present the experience, and results obtained in the 4º ESO+EMPRESA program of the Community of Madrid to promote spatial intelligence. The experience used a workshop methodology to relate digital and classic spatial didactics, thus interpreting the built and urban space. This activity had a favorable development among secondary school students, in which students with architecture degrees also collaborated. The results obtained in the workshop highlight that secondary school students could correlate digital and classical media to understand the relationship between urban wandering and architectural design. The workshop results confirm that using mixed spatial methods is fundamental to achieving adequate spatial development where digital tools must complement classical ones. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

EDUCATIONAL benefits , *SHARED virtual environments , *HIGHER education , *COMMUNITY centers , *SOCIAL interaction - Abstract
The recent pandemic forced the virtualization of educational processes around the world, which caused a series of problems in the quality of teaching due to the improvisation of its execution. The reappearance of the metaverse as a new social scenario has opened new possibilities to overcome the problems inherited by education during a pandemic. Therefore, the present study aims to review the literature on the emerging concept of “metaversity” through a systematic review. A methodology was developed following the PRISMA statement in the WoS, Scopus and Scielo databases. Twenty research studies were selected that were closest to the proposed concept of metaversity, where their main characteristics and scope are identified. The results show that, although there are no experiences that unify all possible areas to be developed in a virtualized university, there are fundamental advances in specific sectors. Educational benefits of the implementation of metaversity for students are identified, such as the improvement of cognitive skills and personalization of learning. The potential of metaversity to transform higher education is evidenced by offering not only the implementation of immersive learning but also a new center of virtual social interaction within the university campus. HETEROGENOUS nucleation , *LEVITATION , *SURFACE temperature , *TITANIUM carbide , *VISCOSITY - Abstract
In this study, the microstructure, hardness, density, viscosity, and surface tension of molten pure Ti with TiC particles were studied via electrostatic levitation experiments, where the electrostatic levitation experiment involved container-less processing, which can suppress heterogeneous nucleation via crucibles. Microstructural observation revealed long needle-shaped α-grains across the whole area in the pure Ti sample. On the other hand, smaller needle-shaped α-grains were found in the samples with TiC particles. However, the detailed microstructural analysis of Ti + 0.7vo l%TiC sample revealed that the fine α-grains observed in the Ti + 0.7vo l%TiC are transformed from single grain of prior β phase. This is because the TiC particles dissolve into the molten Ti during the electrostatic levitation experiment. Instead, Ti–rich TiC precipitates formed by cooling can act as pinning sites rather than heterogeneous nucleation sites, which results in a finer microstructure for the samples with TiC particles during the electrostatic levitation experiment. The density of the samples is linearly related to the temperature, and it decreases with increasing temperature. In addition, a higher density is observed for the samples with TiC particles. Although linear relationships between the surface tension and temperature were found, the addition of TiC particles had no notable effect on the viscosity of the molten pure Ti. RAMAN spectroscopy , *SCANNING electron microscopy , *SUBSTRATES (Materials science) , *MECHANICAL wear , *ELASTIC modulus - Abstract
This paper discusses a comparative micromechanical and tribological analysis of laser-cladded equiatomic FeNiCr coatings reinforced with TiC and NbC particles. Two types of coatings, FeNiCr-TiC (3 wt.% TiC) and FeNiCr-NbC (3 wt.% NbC), were deposited onto an AISI 1040 steel substrate by means of short-pulsed laser cladding. The chemical composition, microstructure, and micromechanical and tribological characteristics of the coatings were systematically investigated via optical and scanning electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and mechanical and tribological tests. The average thicknesses and compositional transition zones of the coatings were 600 ± 20 μm and 150 ± 20 μm, respectively. Raman spectroscopy revealed that both coatings are primarily composed of a single FCC γ-phase (γ-FeNiCr). The FeNiCr + 3 wt.% TiC coating exhibited an additional TiC phase dispersed within the γ-FeNiCr matrix. In contrast, the FeNiCr + 3 wt.% NbC coating displayed a more homogeneous distribution of finely dispersed NbC phase throughout the composite, leading to enhanced mechanical behavior. Micromechanical characterization showed that the FeNiCr + 3 wt.% NbC coating possessed higher average microhardness (3.8 GPa) and elastic modulus (180 GPa) compared to the FeNiCr + 3 wt.% TiC coating, which had values of ~3.2 GPa and ~156 GPa, respectively. Both coatings significantly exceeded the AISI 1040 steel substrate in tribological performance. The FeNiCr + 3 wt.% TiC and FeNiCr + 3 wt.% NbC coatings exhibited substantial reductions in both weight loss (37% and 41%, respectively) and wear rate (33% and 42%, respectively) compared to the substrate material. These findings indicate that more finely dispersed NbC particles are better suited for hardening laser-cladded equiatomic FeNiCr-NbC coatings, making them advanced candidates for industrial applications. CHEMICAL vapor deposition , *GAS lasers , *GAS mixtures , *TITANIUM carbide , *LASERS - Abstract
Laser Chemical Vapor Deposition (LCVD) is a process in which fibers are deposited from a gaseous precursor to a solid phase under a traversing laser focal point. Here, we grow titanium carbide (TiC) fibers and tubes dependent upon a hyperbaric hydrogen-rich, hydrogen-balanced, and hydrogen-lean environment referenced to a titanium tetrachloride and ethylene gas mixture under three different laser intensities. X-ray diffraction confirms the deposition of TiC with energy dispersive spectroscopy noting a radial compositional gradient of titanium and carbon in the diameter of the deposit. Depending on the hydrogen concentration, the TiC encased a core carbon-rich fiber or formed a hollow tube, with these formations explained by thermophoresis. Furthermore, depending on the gas mixture and laser intensity, the carbon-rich interior and TiC outer shell exhibited different morphologies that are discussed in terms of growth rate regimes. The collective outcomes demonstrate the complex processing space in forming ceramic materials by LCVD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

SOLID solutions ,MARTENSITIC transformations ,X-ray diffraction ,ALLOYS ,TITANIUM ,TITANIUM powder - Abstract
In this study, titanium (Ti) alloy with carbon (C) solid solution was fabricated by laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) from Ti-TiC mixture powder to investigate the effect of C solid solution on microstructure and tensile properties of LPBF Ti alloy. XRD and TEM analysis showed that part of TiC particles was decomposed from the surface during melting process of LPBF and C was solid soluted in α-Ti for Ti-(0.09~0.4 wt%) C. The solid solution of carbon changed the microstructure of the LPBF Ti alloy to fine acicular microstructure due to the martensitic phase transformation. This was also observed in Ti-0.4 wt% C, where solid solution of carbon was not confirmed, suggesting that in Ti-0.4 wt% C, C was once solid solution and precipitated as TiC after phase transformation. LPBF Ti-C alloys showed good strength-ductility, UTS and elongation at break for Ti-0.2 wt% C were 746 MPa and 26.3%, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

INTUITION , *MODERNITY , *HEGEMONY , *CRITICISM , *COMMON sense - Abstract
Common sense is a controversial concept in philosophy and the social sciences. It is generally understood as a shared intentionality, a set of self-evident intuitions and beliefs that guide our ideas and behaviors. But there is a tendency to disagree when it comes to discussing the origin and scope of this intentionality. From a critical reading of different contemporary approaches to common sense (G. E. Moore, C. Geertz, A. Gramsci, E. Laclau, C. Mouffe, and C. Pérez), in this paper I present two archetypal conceptions of this set of intuitions and beliefs and two criticisms in this regard, with a purpose of synthesis for practical philosophy. The general aim is to show the relevant correlation between new technologies and common sense and the need to understand this correlation critically for ethical and political reflection. The Fe-(TiC, Mo) composite coating was laser clad onto the surface of Q235 steel, and the study delved into the impact of (TiC, Mo) content (x) on the coating’s microstructure, microhardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. The results revealed that as x varied from 0 to 10, 20 and 30 wt.%, the phase composition shifted from α-Fe to α-Fe+γ-Fe+TiC. This transition was accompanied by a constant variation in the proportion of different phases, with a continuous increase in in situ TiC particle content. The microhardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance of the coating displayed an initial increase followed by a subsequent decrease with the increase in x, reaching their optimal values at 20 wt.%. This enhancement in microhardness and wear resistance, up by 4.34 and 8.27 times, respectively, can be attributed to fine crystal strengthening, dispersion strengthening, and solid solution strengthening. Furthermore, the incorporation of (TiC, Mo) in the coating facilitated the formation of a dense and uniform passivation film, while grain refinement mitigated the galvanic corrosion effect. As a result, the coating exhibited remarkable corrosion resistance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study investigates the corrosion resistance and wear behaviour of aluminium matrix composites (AMCs) manufactured through the ultrasonic-assisted stir-casting technique. These composites were synthesized by introducing titanium carbide (TiC) and nickel (Ni) into aluminium alloys (AA6061). The X-ray diffraction results confirmed the presence of α-Al, TiC and Al3Ni phases within the composites. Microstructural examination demonstrated an uniform dispersion of TiC particles and dispersion of Al3Ni along grain boundaries. To evaluate the corrosion behaviour, samples were subjected to immersion tests and electrochemical techniques, including potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), in a 3.5 wt% NaCl solution. Immersion tests indicated that the composites exhibited slower dissolution rates than base AA6061 alloys. Potentiodynamic polarization results revealed that the inclusion of TiC and Ni reinforcements enhanced corrosion resistance, with TiC having a more pronounced influence. The EIS tests suggested that the composites had higher charge-transfer resistance than AA6061 alloys. After conducting corrosion tests, scanning electron microscope (SEM) images of the base AA6061 alloys unveiled the presence of deep pits but the inclusion of reinforcements resulted in the shallow pits. In addition, Vickers hardness tests and pin-on-disc wear tests were conducted to investigate hardness and wear properties. Notably, hybrid composites containing 3% TiC and 3% Ni exhibited a substantial 42.18% increase in hardness as compared to the base alloy. These hybrid composites also demonstrated superior wear resistance, with a wear rate that was 58.6% lower compared to AA6061 alloy and 41% less than that of the 3% Ni-reinforced composite. During the hot pressing of pure titanium and different carbon steels in a temperature range of ϑ = 950–1050 ° C , a compound layer up to d
L ≈10 μ m thick is formed at the titanium–steel interface. With a higher carbon content of the used steel, the layer thickness increases. The carbon concentration within the layer is in the range of stoichiometry for TiC. Apart from TiC, no other phases can be detected by X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements inside the formed layer. The calculation of the activation energy for the TiC layer formation is Q = 126.5–136.7 kJ mol−1 and is independent of the carbon content of the steel. The resulting microstructure has a grain size gradient, wherein the mechanical properties, such as hardness and Young's modulus, are almost constant. Statistical analysis using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) indicates that the carbon content of the steel has the most significant influence on layer thickness, followed by annealing temperature and annealing time. By selecting the appropriate carbon steel and the subsequent removal of the steel, it is possible to produce targeted TiC layers on titanium substrates, which holds enormous potential for this material in wear-intensive applications. Objectives: The aim was to prepare a variety of non-stoichiometric (Ti, Nb)Cx PCD tool binder composites using TiC and transition metal Nb by mechanical alloying (MA) technology. The effects of different sintering temperatures and Nb contents on the phase compositions, microstructures, and mechanical properties of the composites were investigated to provide a scientific basis for optimizing the properties of PCD tool binders. The specific tasks included preparing (Ti, Nb)Cx composites with varying ratios, analyzing their solid-solution behavior at different temperatures, and evaluating their hardness and fracture toughness. Methods: High purity TiC and Nb powders were selected as raw materials for the experiment, and the MA technology was used to achieve uniform mixing of the two materials. In order to investigate the effect of sintering temperature on the properties of composite materials, various sintering temperatures ranging from 1300 to 1700 ℃ were set. The sintered samples were subjected to phase analysis using an X-ray diffractometer, and the data were analyzed using Jade software. Subsequently, the fracture morphology of the sintered body was observed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the hardness and fracture toughness of the composite materials were measured using a Vickers hardness tester. Results: Within the sintering temperature range of 1300 to 1700 ℃, the solid-solution degree of TiC and Nb gradually increases with the increase in temperature. At higher temperatures, the diffusion between TiC and Nb accelerates, forming a more stable solid-solution, and the phase composition tends to stabilize. At the same sintering temperature, the hardness of the (Ti, Nb)Cx composite increases gradually with the increase in Nb content, indicating that the introduction of Nb enhances the overall hardness of the composite. Especially when the sintering temperature is 1600 ℃, the (Ti, Nb)C0.50.5 composite exhibits the best mechanical properties with a hardness of 23.0 GPa and fracture toughness of 7.20 MPa·m1/2. The results show that under these temperature and ratio conditions, the composite achieves the best solid-solution state, has fewer internal defects, moderate grain size, and optimal mechanical properties. Conclusions: The sintering temperature and Nb content have significant impacts on the phase composition and mechanical properties of (Ti,Nb)Cx composite materials. Controlling these two parameters can optimize the hardness and toughness of the composite materials, thereby enhancing their application potential in PCD cutting tools. The higher sintering temperature is conducive to the full solid-solution of TiC and Nb, forming a more stable crystalline phase structure and improving the mechanical properties of the material. Future research could explore the influences of introducing other transition group metals on the properties of composite materials in order to develop higher-performance PCD tool binders. Others: Although the main objective of this study is to optimize the performance of (Ti,Nb)Cx PCD tool binders, the mechanical alloying techniques and analytical methods used in this research have the potential for broader applications. The mechanical alloying technology is not only suitable for the development of PCD tool materials but also for the preparation of other high-performance composite materials. At the same time, the combination of X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy provides valuable data support for the field of materials science, which helps deepen the understanding of the microstructure and phase composition of materials, thereby promoting research progress in the field.

• The decomposition of ceramic particles in LPBF-fabricated metal matrix composites has been reported for the first time. • Direct evidence showing the decomposition of TiC using Atom Probe Tomography has been provided. • Heat treatment was conducted to confirm the supersaturation of Ti and C atoms in 316L matrix. • A hierarchical distribution of TiC was observed. Recent advancements have shown the effectiveness of strengthening 316L with TiC particles addition through the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) process. However, the question remains whether TiC undergoes decomposition into Ti and C atoms, primarily because of the challenges associated with measuring C at low concentrations. In this study, we employed atom probe tomography (APT) to provide evidence of decomposition by observing the presence of Ti and C atoms in the 316L matrix. The fast cooling rate of the LPBF process results in the supersaturation of Ti and C in the 316L matrix. Adding 3 wt% TiC particles increased the yield strength of LPBF-processed 316L from 599 MPa to 832 MPa. The subsequent annealing treatment resulted in the formation of more TiC nanoparticles as a result of precipitation from the supersaturated Ti and C in the 316L matrix. Consequently, the yield strength was further enhanced to 959 MPa after annealing at 700 °C for 1 h. This study marks the first direct demonstration of the decomposition of TiC in metal matrix composites. [Display omitted] [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the morphology, mechanical properties, erosion resistance, and machine learning modeling of Si 3 N 4 +TiC + VC and CrNi based ceramic coatings deposited via plasma spraying. The cross-sectional morphology analysis revealed good mechanical interlocking between the coatings and the substrate, with pores predominantly observed in the Si 3 N 4 +TiC + VC coating. The coating thicknesses were measured as follows: 260 μm for Si 3 N 4 +TiC + VC, 243 μm for Si 3 N 4 +TiC + VC blended with CrNi, and 232 μm for pure CrNi coating. Mechanical characterization showed that microhardness values ranged from 1933 HV for Si 3 N 4 +TiC + VC coating to 499 HV for pure CrNi coatings. Slurry erosion tests demonstrated that pure Si 3 N 4 +TiC + VC coating exhibited superior erosion resistance at 90° impingement angle compared to other coatings. Additionally, a rigorous evaluation of over 20 machine learning regression models revealed that Gaussian Process Regressors and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) with a layer size of 20, displayed satisfactory performance in modeling mass loss prediction. The erosion mechanisms observed in the coatings provided valuable insights into their response to slurry erosion, highlighting the influence of coating composition and impingement angles. The findings underscore the potential of Si 3 N 4 +TiC + VC ceramic coatings to enhance the erosion resistance of stainless steel, offering promising applications in various industries. WEAR resistance , *TITANIUM carbide , *STEEL , *MATERIAL plasticity , *COMPRESSIVE strength , *CERAMIC-matrix composites - Abstract
In this study, TiC particle-reinforced high-manganese-steel (Mn18Cr2) matrix composites were successfully prepared using an in-situ method, and a millimeter micrometer dual-scale architecture was constructed in the composites to further enhance their mechanical properties. The effects of different moderator contents in the precursor on the size, volume fraction, mechanical properties, and impact wear resistance of the generated TiC particles were primarily investigated. The results showed that the moderator considerably influenced the microstructure and mechanical properties of the composites. As the moderator content increased, the size, volume fraction, mechanical properties, and wear resistance of TiC particles decreased. The optimal comprehensive performance of the composites was obtained when the moderator content was 20 wt%., average TiC particle size was 1.21 μm, volume fraction was 64.9 %, bulk hardness was more than three times that of the matrix, compressive strength was ∼2 GPa, and relative wear resistance was 2.47 times that of the matrix. The main wear behaviors of composites included grooves, microcutting, pits, and plastic deformation. In conclusion, this study guides the design and synthesis of steel matrix composites with tunable in-situ ceramic particle sizes and volume fractions to enhance wear resistance. Social identities and representations are factors of necessary analysis for a better understanding of why collective action arises and endures. In this direction, this article investigates such elements and their diffusion through Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in two social movements in Mexico and Spain. To this end, a mixed methodology is used, consisting of interviews and questionnaires on activists. The results highlight the high degree of identification of activists first with the way in which each movement conceives reality and the goals they pursue, and second with the status attributed to communication as a key tool for generating social change through the digital dissemination of their own contents and values. In conclusion, the research directly verifies the interrelation of the social representations of each activist with the causes of participation, the ends they pursue, the strategies employed and the values and contents disseminated through ICTs by the movements. Media convergence has led to new and old media merging to disseminate information. Thanks to the rise of social networks at the educational-communicative level, it has generated a new paradigm in the way of educating and accessing certain content. This transformation from solid to liquid has caused an alteration in different contexts, especially at the level of scientific dissemination. The main objective of this study is to demonstrate and deepen in a new emerging knowledge format, how experts and scientific disseminators from different academic areas make use of the TikTok platform as a tool for the dissemination of content and formal knowledge. To this end, a total of 221 microvideos from four selected profiles in Health Sciences, Social and Legal Sciences, Engineering, and Arts and Humanities were analysed using a quantitative-qualitative methodology with the use of content analysis. Furthermore, according to Stempel's constructed week theory, the inclusion criterion for the sample selection derives from the "Science Week" in Spain in the period 2020-2023. Indeed, more and more interested users are accessing these platforms in search of the latest updates on scientific developments, as well as to discuss and interact with current and particularly important science-related topics. ICTs enable the expansion of citizen participation. Thus, politics begins to involve new actors and practices, which provide new forms of influence in the political process (Araújo et al., 2015). Given the relevance of digital democracy, its multidisciplinary nature, and the need to advance studies in the area, in order to consolidate a field, this article presents the following research question: What are the scientific advances in the themes of digital democracy and e-participation in the scope of public policies? Thus, the objective of this work is to analyze the studies that address digital democracy and e-participation and its interface with the theme of public policies, in the international census, in the period 2013-2022. To achieve this, the article uses bibliometric research, based on publications retrieved from the Web of Science database and with the help of VOSviewer and Bibliometrix software. From the analyzes undertaken, it was found that digital democracy and e-participation constitute a contemporary and powerful possibility for strengthening the relationship between ordinary citizens and the State. It is an institutional innovation that changes the commonly passive behavior of individuals regarding politics. Social media proved to be a widely disseminated vehicle for expanding citizen participation, through more specialized contributions, based on argumentative debates. Through informed opinion and social control, government service levels begin to improve and also encompass new interactions with the public. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Geocaching is an activity that involves hiding or finding treasures (geocaches) anywhere with the help of GPS or geolocation. This work consists of the design, development and evaluation of a socioeducational practice, using a mobile device as a tool and a geolocation application as an instrument. The aim of this study is to find out the impact of the implementation of an educational practice in the municipal context to raise environmental awareness and improve digital literacy using geolocation. This proposal is part of the socio-educational area in the information society, within the field of child protection, specifically in a day care centre for minors. This research is qualitative, in particular it is a multiple case study and is framed within the narrative approach. The results and conclusions show that the children and the professionals involved are satisfied with the implementation of the socio-educational practice in the municipal context, with entertainment predominating as a positive aspect. The children have acquired mainly procedural knowledge, with the support of digital technology. Finally, it is worth mentioning the impact on motivation and conflict resolution. This study seeks to analyse, through teachers' perceptions, the impact of the digital divide and the relationships of educational inclusion in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education. The study also aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 of the United Nations' 2030 Agenda, which promotes inclusive and quality education. A quantitative methodology was used, employing a specially designed and validated Likert scale to measure teachers' perceptions in three dimensions: perceptions of the digital divide's effects on teaching; perceptions of the inclusive use of technologies in the classroom and inclusive education practices in the classroom. Altogether, 790 primarylevel teachers from western Honduras participated. The results indicate that perceptions are limited on the digital divide's effects among the participating teachers. Likewise, differences were found in how older teachers perceive the inclusive integration of technologies in the classroom. Furthermore, the participating teachers primarily demonstrated a theoretical understanding of inclusive education practices. These findings indicate the existence of an improved awareness and practical understanding of technological integration and inclusive strategies in the educational context. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
