Visible-infrared person re-identification aims to match the identity of the same person from different modalities. The main challenge is the modality difference between visible and infrared images. Most existing methods mainly use generative adversarial networks to generate compensatory images of the corresponding modality to reduce the modality difference, or design diverse two-stream networks to learn global feature representations and extract globally shared features. However, due to the substantial difference between visible and infrared modalities, the created pseudo-modalities often struggle to effectively bridge the gap between modalities and tend to introduce noise. The extracted modality-shared features typically exhibit weak discriminative capability, inevitably leading to the loss of critical discriminative features related to person identity and a lack of robustness to noisy images. To tackle these challenges, we introduce a modality synergy alignment learning network. This network incorporates a novel data augmentation technique known as SliceMix, which mixes random sections of cross-modality images to synthesize a new sample that exhibits both discriminative to identity and robust to noise, thereby facilitating the learning of modality-invariant feature representations. By adjusting the mixing ratio, mixed modalities can be generated flexibly to minimize the impact of modality imbalance. Additionally, a modality alignment module is introduced to ensure similarity within the modality class and accentuate the differences between modalities. Moreover, we propose a data augmentation method called random channel grayscale, which enhances the network’s robustness to color changes and expands data diversity. Comprehensive experiments on mainstream datasets, including SYSU-MM01 and RegDB, demonstrated that our method significantly improves the performance of cross-modality retrieval. Background: The prognostic analysis of lung invasive mucinous adenocarcinoma (IMA) is deficient due to the lack of a universally recommended histological grading system, leading to unregulated treatment approaches. Objective: We aimed to examine the clinical trajectory of IMA and assess the viability of utilizing the existing grading system for lung invasive non-mucinous adenocarcinoma in the context of IMA. Methods: We retrospectively collected clinicopathological data from 265 IMA patients. Each case re-evaluated the tumor grade using the following three classification systems: the 4th Edition of the World Health Organization classification system, the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) grading system, and a two-tier grading system. We performed a comparative analysis of these grading systems and identified the most effective grading system for IMA. Results: The study comprised a total of 214 patients with pure IMA and 51 patients with mixed IMA. The 5-year overall survival (OS) rates for pure IMA and mixed IMA were 86.7% and 57.8%, respectively. All three grading systems proved to be effective prognostic classifiers for IMA. The value of area under the curve at 1-, 3-, and 5-year OS was highest for the IASLC grading system compared with the other grade systems and the clinical stage. The IASLC classification system was an independent prognostic predictor (p = 0.009, hazard ratio 2.243, 95% confidence interval 1.219–4.127). Conclusion: Mixed IMA is more aggressive than pure IMA, with an OS rate on par with that of high-grade pure IMA. People with disabilities travel less than their peers without disabilities. Much research about the travel patterns of people with disabilities focuses on problems they experience with specific transportation modes, under the assumption that fixing those specific problems is enough to fully include people with disabilities in the broader world. This doesn’t account for the connections of different transportation modes to land use patterns, and it presumes what people with disabilities want without asking them. This project aims to understand the extent to which disability may affect the choices and desires that people have for transportation mode usage frequencies, activity frequencies, and neighborhood features.

The retro interior style is about the 1940′s glamor and the end of World War II, often refers to the design period roughly between the 1950s and the 1970s. The Retro movement rehashed styles produced since the Industrial Revolution. Designers coordinate retro designs with a wide variation of interior design and furniture styles, including rustic, contemporary , and industrial design. Designers use the term "Retro style" to characterize styles that have been created or inspired from the past. Designers nowadays create a link between styles and designs, to move away from the idea of pure design, which on its own can become impersonal and boring, so its boring to have interior space with only retro design, but can be unique to have a piece of retro furniture antique to enrich your space. It is meant to be nostalgic and looks to an elegant time in history which influences users. Modern retro interior design is a term used by interior designer to describe an eclectic mix of vintage and contemporary features, so mix elements from different times, creating a time link from the past to the present. Retro furniture greatly differs from most modern furniture; They are bright and colorful, with unique shapes. Iconic pieces often define an era and play an important role in characterizing the interior space, so the designer must be wise in choosing this unique piece of furniture. The aim of this thoughts is to evoke pleasant memories, in order to create a familiar interior space for user.

The food industry is currently demonstrating a tendency to substitute traditional high-humidity raw materials with their dry analogues. This research introduces new designs of vertical vibrating mixers that could preprogram flour mix quality. The vertical continuous vibration mixers designed for granular materials showed a good potential for a wider scope of application. The experiment involved high-quality wheat flour, sugar, salt, egg powder, and powdered milk, as well as three vertical mixers, i.e., a lifting mixer, a flow mixer, and a cascade mixer. Wheat flour entered the working body of the mixer and came into a stable vibration-boiling state in layers of ≤ 35 mm with a vibration amplitude of 4.5 mm and a frequency of ≥ 20 Hz. The speed rate of the flour increased together with the oscillation frequency of the working body and the size of the perforation area but went down as the layer grew wider. The efficiency increased following the increase in the perforation area on the spiral surface and depended on the maximal thickness of the dough layer. The flow vibrating mixer proved to be the most effective one. The frequency of pulse feeding of ingredients into the mixer was ≤ 50% (Vc ≤ 14.5%) to obtain flour mixes of satisfactory quality while good-quality mixes required 25% average time the particles spent in the mixer (Vc ≤ 6%). The results obtained can be used to design technological lines for flour mix production.

The study investigated the effect of graded energy levels of concentrate mix on nutrient intake and digestibility of West African Dwarf rams fed basal diet (Pennisetum purpurem). A total number of twenty-five (25) West African Dwarf rams were used in a completely randomized design. The concentrate formulated at 2,600 kcal/kg, 2,400 kcal/kg, 2,200 kcal/kg, 2,000 kcal/kg and 1,800 kcal/kg energy levels as treatments 1-5 respectively. At the end of the feeding trial, rams were allotted into metabolic cages for separate feeding, collection of feces and urine. The faecal samples collected were bulked and 10 % aliquot was taken for chemical analysis. Results showed that the dry matter intake was significantly (p<0.05) influenced by the dietary energy intake which ranged from 314.6 to 326.6 g/day. Rams fed with 2600 kcal/kg recorded the highest dry matter intake, while rams on 2200kcal/kg observed with lowest dry matter intake (314.6 g/day). The crude protein intake was not significantly (p>0.05) affected by different energy intake. There were significant differences in Ether Extract intake as (13.51-13.80 g/day), Ash intake as (25.73-36.11 g/day), and Nitrogen Free Extracts as (67.28-72.04 g/day). The fiber fractions were significantly (p<0.05) affected by different energy intake. Significant differences (p<0.05) were obtained for dry matter digestibility (72.69-81.21 %), crude protein digestibility (59.41-67.59 %), Nitrogen Free Extract digestibility (55.64-63.52 %). It was therefore concluded that basal diet (Pennisetum purpurem) for West African Dwarf rams could be supplemented with 2,600 kcal/kg energy level of concentrate mix for better feed utilization and improved productivity. Esta pesquisa buscou elaborar produtos alimentícios a partir da polpa do açaí (Euterpe oleracea). A metodologia para a elaboração dos produtos partiu de adaptações de formulações disponíveis na literatura especializada para: geleia; sorvete; néctar (blend), em suas versões light e diet. Elaborou-se, também, um mix de farinha para mistura de bolo com diferentes teores de açaí liofilizado (5%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% e 50%). Ademais, as serviram como base para a elaboração da rotulagem nutricional dos produtos à base de açaí. Os resultados obtidos, após testes sensoriais, mostram que as formulações foram bem aceitas conforme o sabor, a cor, aroma e textura, sobretudo por manterem as características da matéria-prima após a cocção. Além disso, as tabelas nutricionais elaboradas demonstraram a composição química com valores de macro e micronutrientes, uma qualidade nutricional relevante dos produtos obtidos, sendo um alimento light e diet, pois atendeu os requisitos estabelecidos pelas legislações citadas anteriormente. Pode-se concluir que o açaí, para além do consumo in natura, é um alimento que possui diversos benefícios para a saúde, o qual pode ser utilizado no desenvolvimento de produtos alimentícios, fortalecendo a inovação de produtos e os enriquecendo com uma diversidade de nutrientes.

A significant amount of energy waste has accumulated in the world, in particular, large-tonnage fine ash from central heating stations (coal ash), which can negatively affect the natural environment and the health of the population. However, at the same time, due to its chemical composition, this waste can be disposed of by complex processing as a secondary mineral component, thus reducing the anthropogenic load on the natural environment. This article presents a physico-chemical study of coal ash for its further use as a secondary mineral component, in particular, a component of a raw mixture with limestone to produce a composite Portland cement clinker. Coal ash and limestone were subjected to granulometric, chemical, differential thermal, scanning electron microscopy, elemental chemical and X-ray structural analyses, as well as modeling to assess the possibility of optimizing the raw material and mineralogical composition of the composite Portland cement clinker. During the research, the chemical and elemental compositions of the coal ash and limestone were determined and SEM images of the coal ash were obtained; it was found that 68.04% of the coal ash was represented by the fraction with granules <0.16 mm. Using X-ray diffraction analysis, the main limestone minerals were identified, which were represented by calcite and silica. Based on the results of mathematical modeling of the utilization of coal ash from a thermal power plant by processing with limestone, a two-component raw material mixture containing 23.66% fly ash and 76.34% limestone was optimized and the optimal mineralogical composition of the composite Portland cement clinker was determined. Utilization of coal ash by processing as a secondary raw material can be carried out at almost any ash storage facility anywhere in the world, taking into account the chemical composition of the processed ash. It was found that the replacement of natural raw materials with man-made raw materials in the form of coal ash contributed to a reduction in fuel consumption for firing (kg of conventional fuel) by 13.76% and a decrease in the thermal effect of clinker formation by 5.063%. In another article, we discussed the productive moods and the conclusions of mixed ḥaqīqīkhārijī syllogisms and proved each of them. In this article, however, we aim to comprehensively examine the sterile moods and unprovable conclusions, and demonstrate their sterility and unprovability through suitable counterexamples. By doing so, we will achieve the desired goal of Shams al-Dīn Samarqandī's research program, which began in his books Qisṭās al-afkār and its self-commentary Sharḥ al-Qisṭās, but which was left unfinished without reaching a final conclusion and which, surprisingly, has not been pursued by subsequent logicians. We then compare the set of the productive/sterile moods-mixes as well as provable/unprovable conclusions, and, we extract some general and specific results deductively. This research has also raised a plethora of open questions, some of which are summarized at the end of the article in the hope that their difficulties will be resolved and their answers will be found with the help of other scholars. Widespread human activity has resulted in the presence of different pollutants in the aquatic environment that does not exist in isolation. The study of the effects of contamination of aquatic organisms is of great significance. To assess the individual and combined toxicity of cadmium (Cd) and tributyltin (TBT) to aquatic organisms, juvenile grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) were exposed to Cd (2.97 mg/L), TBT (7.5 μg/L), and their mixture MIX. The biological response was evaluated by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis of plasma metabolites. Plasma samples at 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, and 48 days post-exposure were analyzed using detection by NMR technique. The typical correlation analysis (CCA) analysis revealed that TBT had the greatest effect on plasma metabolism, followed by MIX and Cd. The interference pathway to grass carp was similar to that of TBT and MIX. Both Cd and TBT exposure alone or in combination can lead to metabolic abnormalities in TCA cycle-related pathways and interfere with energy metabolism. These results provide more detailed information for the metabolic study of pollutants and data for assessing the health risks of Cd, TBT, and MIX at the metabolic level. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This research explores how central-city shopping districts could be transformed to support a post-Covid lifestyle, where people re-embrace community, local streets and walking while relying more on online shopping. By reviewing metropolitan/city development plans since the 1980s and mapping changes of retail provisions, urban environment and pedestrian movements in Melbourne's Hoddle Grid in the twenty-first century, this paper shows that planning policies focusing on people-centred experiences in the central-city shopping district helped to improve retail resilience. This paper thus adds insights to understanding the relentless retail landscape changes and has implications for central-city retail planning in the post-Covid era. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this study, buttermilk powder, a dairy by-product, was used in ice cream production at different rates. The amount of buttermilk powder was calculated as 5%, 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% of skimmed milk powder used in mix composition. Addition of buttermilk powder did not affect the titratable acidity, pH value and dry matter content of the aged mixes (P > 0.05), but increased consistency index, fat and ash content (P < 0.05). Furthermore, phase separation decreased with the increasing amounts of buttermilk powder (P < 0.05). As buttermilk powder increase, overrun and b* values of ice cream samples increased, hardness values decreased and first dripping times were prolonged (P < 0.05). Sensory analysis revealed that the increasing buttermilk powder did not affect appearance and texture properties of ice cream samples (P > 0.05), however, samples with high powder content had lower flavor scores from panelists (P < 0.05). Based on experimental studies, the article presents the issues of improving the quality indicators of the drum feed mixer, describes its design and operating principle. The research was conducted in accordance with the current methodology and materials presented in the article. Based on the results of approximation of the initially calculated values of the quality-power indicator, a statistical model of this quality-power indicator (0.01% kW) is obtained. The value of errors in the calculated data is ana-lyzed for correspondence with the initial data. After processing the obtained experimental data, the description of dependence diagrams on the influence of the design parameters of the working body of the drum mixer on the quality and power indicator is shown. An increase in the height of the instal-lation of blades is undesirable over 0.16 m, and an increase in the number of blades over eight leads to a rapid deterioration in the quantity-power indicator. The relevant conclusions on the application of the studied design and operating parameters in the working of the drum mixer are presented.

Each scientist is specialized in his or her field of research and in the tools that he or she uses during the research in a specified site. Thus, he or she is the most suitable person for improving the tools by overcoming their limitations to realize faster and higher quality analysis. However, most scientists are not software developers. Hence, it is necessary to provide them with an easy approach that enables non-software developers to improve and customize their tools. This paper presents an approach for easily improving and customizing any hydrogeological software. It is the result of experiences with updating several interdisciplinary case studies. The main insights of this approach have been demonstrated using four examples: MIX (FORTRAN-based), BrineMIX (C++-based), EasyQuim and EasyBal (both spreadsheet-based). The improved software has been proven to be a better tool for enhanced analysis by substantially reducing the computation time and the tedious processing of the input and output data files.

The research for the new environmental friendly construction material that will match the durability of ancient concrete has provoked interest into the study of alkali activated cementitious systems over the last two decades. It results in the development of Geopolymer Concrete. This paper represents the development of geopolymer mixes of various ratios of fly ash and GGBS and their mechanical properties were studied. aa Literature review on mechanical and durability properties of geopolymer concrete also been done. The ratio of sodium hydroxide to sodium silicate is 1:2 which is kept a constant to prepare the mix and alkaline liquid to binder ratio as 0.70, but changing the concentration of sodium hydroxide solution as 6M, 4M and 3M to prepare the mix Id. i.e. F75G25, F50G50 and F25G75, respectively (where F and G are Fly Ash and GGBS and the numerical value indicates the percentage of replacement of fly ash by GGBS) were prepared in AML laboratory, CSIR-SERC, Chennai. Ambient curing of concrete at room temperature was adopted.The compressive strength at age of 3, 7 and 28 days were determined. The strength of geopolymer concrete was increased with increase in percentage of GGBS in a mix. It was observed that the mix Id F25G75 gave maximum compressive strength for concentration of NaOH as 3M . Leaching of GPC reduces with increase in percentage of GGBS in a mix. Thus the geopolymer concrete have a relatively higher strength.

Resin in sand-resin mixes in the course of heating at production of casting shell molds undergoes changes of a state: solid – liquid – solid. For the purpose of increase in durability and decrease in contents of binding (pulverbakelit) in mix when forming a shell, along with thermal influence, the static pressure, the resines changing in compliance with change of aggregate state was used. Basic pressure is 0.25 MPas and moves through a press plate right after filling of mix on heated up to 230 °C model plate. In 10 seconds pressure increases up to 0.35 MPas. And in 10 seconds pressure goes down to 0.2 MPas. It is experimentally defined that the castings received in the shell forms made with use of variable pressure have the minimum and uniform internal tension. Also researches showed that such castings have high purity of a surface (Rz 70–80) and lack of internal defects.

Background: Patch test (PT) reactions to thiuram mix (TM) and fragrance mix (FM) I or II without concomitant reactions to their single constituents are potentially caused by the irritant properties of the mixes. Objective: Comparing inflammatory profiles of PT reactions to TM, FM I, FM II, and their constituents and assessing their potential in discrimination of irritant and allergic reactions. Patients and Methods: Levels of 14 cytokines and natural moisturizing factor (NMF) were determined in stratum corneum samples collected from PT reactions to TM, FM I or II, their constituents, and petrolatum (pet.) control sites in 36 individuals. Results: Levels of interleukin (IL)‐16, chemokine (CXC motif) ligand (CXCL) 8, CXCL10, chemokine (CC motif) ligand (CCL) 17, and CCL22 were significantly increased in reactions (+, ++) to thiurams and fragrances compared to their petrolatum. controls, except for PT reactions to FM I/II with negative breakdown testing in which, however, decreased levels of NMF were observed. In doubtful reactions to FM I/II with negative breakdown testing, NMF was significantly lower than in petrolatum controls. Conclusions: PT reactions to thiurams and fragrances indicate a Th2‐skewed inflammation. The inflammatory profiles suggest that weak or doubtful FM I/II reactions without accompanying reaction to a constituent were irritant. Experimental asymmetries in fusion implosions can lead to magnetic field generation in the hot plasma core. For typical parameters, previous studies found that the magnetization Hall parameter, given by the product of the electron gyro-frequency and Coulomb collision time, can exceed one. This will affect the hydrodynamics through inhibition and deflection of the electron heat flux. The magnetic field source is the collisionless Biermann term, which arises from the Debye shielding potential in electron pressure gradients. We show that there is an additional source term due to the Z dependence of the Coulomb collision operator. If there are ion composition gradients, such as jets of carbon ablator mix entering the hot-spot, this source term can rapidly exceed the Biermann fields. In addition, the Biermann fields are enhanced due to the increased temperature gradients from carbon radiative cooling. With even stronger self-generated fields, heat loss to the carbon regions will be reduced, potentially reducing the negative effect of carbon mix. The South Korean government is pursuing an energy transition, which means a reduction in nuclear power and coal-fired power generation, and an expansion into renewable energy. This study seeks to evaluate the South Korean public's preference for a mix of power generation sources. For this purpose, 1000 households throughout the country were randomly selected and a choice experiment survey of them was undertaken in March 2018. We considered four attributes: the ratio of nuclear power, the ratio of coal-fired generation, the ratio of natural gas-fired generation, and the ratio of renewable energy. An increase in the monthly electric bill was also considered as an attribute. The results of applying the choice experiment approach show that households were willing to accept an increase in their monthly electric bill by KRW 192 (USD 0.17) and KRW 165 (USD 0.15) for reducing the proportion of nuclear power and coal, respectively, by 1%p. They were willing to pay KRW 159 (USD 0.14) and KRW 409 (USD 0.38) for raising the ratio of natural gas and renewable energy, respectively, through an increase in the monthly electricity bill. Provisional restorations are designed in order to protect oral structures and promote function and esthetics for a limited period of time, after which they are to be replaced by a definite prosthesis. They play a particular role in diagnostic procedures and continued evaluation of the treatment plan, as they should resemble the form and function of the definite rehabilitation that they precede. Therefore, interim treatment should satisfy the criteria of marginal adaptation, strength, and longevity. In complicated treatment plans that intend to last for extended periods of time, the function of provisional prostheses involves the possibility of relining, modification, or repair. These adjustments raise considerations regarding the strength of the resultant bond. Modified self cure resin was done by chopping the Glass fibres in small pieces and mixing it equal proportions with self cure resin that is, 0.1g of glass fibre was added in 1g of self cure resin mix. The control and test group mixtures were poured into the putty mold and was allowed to set. Later on, the samples were taken out of the mould and had undergone two tests namely, colour stability test using VITATEST machine and compressive strength test at 2300N. In colour stability test, the average delta E value of control group and test group is 12.3 and 13.8 respectively. From the results of the compressive strength test, mean compressive strength at 2500N of test group and control group is 0.35mm and 0.7mm respectively. The results show that there is no colour variation as delta E of 1 or less than 1 between two colours is considered as an acceptable match and modified resin is less displaced when compared to conventional resin. This study indicates, clinically self cure methacrylate resin to function as long term provisional restorations in fixed prosthesis glass fibers can be incorporated to enhance its strength. Background: Methylchloroisothiazolinone/methylisothiazolinone (MCI/MI) and methylisothiazolinone (MI) are tested to detect contact allergy to these isothiazolinones. Objectives: To study if an aqueous patch test preparation with MCI and MI in a mix of 0.015% and 0.2%, respectively, detects more contact allergies than the commonly used preparations of MCI/MI in 0.02% aq. and MI in 0.2% aq. Methods: A total of 1555 patients with dermatitis in five Swedish dermatology departments were tested consecutively with MCI/MI 0.215% aq., MCI/MI 0.02% aq., and MI 0.2% aq. Results: The share of contact allergy to MCI/MI 0.215% aq., MCI/MI 0.02% aq., and MI 0.2% aq. varied in the test centers between 7.9% and 25.9%, 3.2% and 10.3%, and 5.8% and 12.3%, respectively. MCI/MI 0.215% aq. detected significantly more patch‐test positive individuals than both MCI/MI 0.02% aq. (P <.001) and MI 0.2% aq. (P <.001), as well as either one of MCI/MI and MI (P <.001). In the patients only reacting to MCI/MI 0.215% aq., 57.7% were recorded as having a dermatitis that was explained or aggravated by exposure to either MCI/MI or MI. Conclusion: The results speak in favor of replacing the preparations MCI/MI 0.02% aq. and MI 0.2% aq. with MCI/MI 0.215% aq. as the screening substance in the Swedish baseline series, which has been implemented in 2020. The overall goal of the survey was to ascertain from belters common characteristics of belting and belters as determined by their own experience. The survey sought information from those who responded to an online questionnaire stating they were professional singers who had been paid to sing as belters and were comfortable using the sound quality called belting. The survey asked various questions regarding the definition of the word belting, how the singers learned to belt, whether or not they could explain the auditory and kinesthetic experience of belting and their history with vocal health. This was a partial follow-up to a study done by one of the authors in 2007 on the same topic and with the same general population which was never submitted for publication. The data from that study, which was longer and more complex, will be referenced where the present survey has similar data, partly to see if answers may have changed in the time since data was collected more than a decade ago. The survey was an online questionnaire on Google. A call to respond to the survey was put forth by the authors through their network of colleagues, associates and students with the request that respondents also share the survey with others they knew. The questionnaire consisted of 30 questions and garnered a total of 238 responses from professional singers who consider themselves to be belters. Data was collected between February 1, 2019 and July 31, 2019 Topics included Demographics, Vocal Training Background, Definitions, and Vocal Health. The data collected presents demographics on vocal training, professional experience, gender, age, performance venues, definitions of key words, and vocal health issues. The majority of respondents are female, from the USA, have had training, and sing other styles of music in a belt quality. Specific statistics on each question are given. The earlier study, from 2007, referenced several similar questions from a smaller group of respondents. Implementation of an emulator of MIX, a mythical computer invented by Donald Knuth, is used as a case study of the features of the Scala programming language. The developed emulator provides rich opportunities for program debugging, such as tracking intermediate steps of program execution, an opportunity to run a program in the binary or the decimal mode of MIX, verification of correct synchronisation of input/output operations. Such Scala features as cross-compilation, family polymorphism and support for immutable data structures have proved to be useful for implementation of the emulator. The authors of the paper also propose some improvements to these features: flexible definition of family-polymorphic types, integration of family polymorphism with generics, establishing full equivalence between mutating operations on mutable data types and copy-and-modify operations on immutable data types. One way to compact large-sized sandy-clay mixtures is air-pulse molding. Spreaders used in practice in pulsed molding do not ensure homogeneity of the density at the surface and in the volume of the mold. The design of a gas flow divider is proposed that allows changing the area of the apertures due to the shaped plate and, accordingly, increasing or decreasing the speed and volume of the transmitted air fl w acting on the mixture. This ultimately guarantees uniformity of density throughout the volume of the mold.Also results of researches of voltages and the density appearing in a coma of a mix on height at sealing of sandy-clay forms by an air stream are resulted. The use of air molding with a dissector and a plate for making large-sized molds made it possible to obtain a batch of castings with high geometric accuracy and surface roughness.
