The maintenance of a satisfactory quality of life in rural areas is fundamental for sustainable development. One of the ways to improve quality of life indicators is through the gathering of rural workers in solidarity economy organizations as these enterprises aim to integrate development with economic, social, and environmental sustainability. Because solidarity economy organizations have a robust social purpose, their performance must be evaluated based on both social and financial indicators. The objective of this article is to propose a performance evaluation model for rural solidarity economy enterprises, aiming to support decision making in these enterprises based on multicriteria decision analysis (MCDA), particularly the ELECTRE-TRI methodology. In order to demonstrate the applicability of the developed model and to perform sensitivity analyses, the model was applied to a group of eight family agriculture co-operatives in the southwest state of Paraná, Brazil. All the participating co-ops were considered part of the solidarity economy, and they served 2500 rural producer families across at least 15 municipalities. The results showed the applicability and stability of the model, enabling us to identify the dimensions in which each co-op should concentrate their efforts to improve not only their performance but also the outcomes for the farmers that they serve. Based on these results, organizational and improvement activities can be developed and implemented. This analysis contributes to economic and social indicators by offering improvement strategies for the professionalization and strategic management of RSEEs, thus strengthening these enterprises and, consequently, family agriculture. In recent years, horticulture in the northern region of the Buenos Aires province, Argentina, has increased. Accurate information on this activity is a prerequisite to address potential phytosanitary problems that farmers might face. Our objectives were to characterize the orchards in the San Antonio de Areco district, located in Buenos Aires province, and to analyze the detection and perception of farmers regarding the invertebrate fauna present within them. We distributed an on-line questionnaire and received 83 responses. Based on the results obtained, we described the orchards in the study area as family/domestic, of small-scale, located in an urban/peri-urban area, directly planted as plots in the ground, operational year-round, and primarily dedicated to self-consumption. We found that recognition of biodiversity within orchards and its role in production, as well as the identification of the most harmful groups of invertebrates, vary depending on the characteristics of orchards and the individuals working to them. The article describes the progress of the demographic transition in rural areas of Latin America and its impact on the dynamics of family farming in the continent, highlighting the presence of this issue from the contribution of Chayanov. It then evaluates the relationship between demographic dynamics and the topics of debate that appear in the literature on family farming, in particular the characteristics of the "new rurality", the issue of gender and the empowerment of women and the issue of intergenerational transfer of productive units. As an unconventional food plant with excellent nutritional qualities, Amazon spinach stands out among other horticultural species, as it has high potential for use in agriculture. However, the literature regarding the use of organic sources in seedling production is incipient. Meanwhile, the he objective of this work was to evaluate the quality of spinach seedlings from the Amazon produced with alternative substrates. The experiment was carried out in the garden of the Universidade Federal do Acre, from March to April 2022. The experimental design was in randomized blocks, with five treatments and four blocks. The treatments were the different substrates, where: T1 = palm substrate, T2 = palm substrate with charcoal, T3 = commercial substrate, T4 = commercial substrate + palm substrate and T5 = commercial substrate + palm substrate with charcoal. The evaluations took place after 30 days of cultivation, evaluating: height, diameter, leaf length and width, total number of shoots and leaves, root length, fresh mass of shoots and roots, dry mass of shoots and roots, mass total fresh and dry, and the Dickson Quality Index calculated. There was a significant effect of the substrates used for the evaluated variables of the spinach seedlings. The alternative substrates mixed with the commercial one, presented itself as an alternative in the production of seedlings. This work seeks to contribute elements to reflect on the production of the territory in the La Plata Horticultural Belt, focusing on the strategies of family farming organizations during 2015-2019. In this period we identified a redefinition of rural development policies within the framework of the change of government, which affects the processes of collective action. Conceptually, we start from an analytical perspective that takes up debates on collective action and seeks to articulate them with the perspective of spatiality. We understand that through their practices and forms of intervention, family farming organizations seek to influence or transform power relations and, in this sense, constitute themselves as a socio-territorial movement. Through the use of primary sources-collected through interviewsand secondary -statistical data survey as well as systematization of existing bibliography on the subject- and a qualitative methodology, we identified a series of problems that the sector is going through and that motivates its organization. From them, it is possible to recognize, systematize and analyze a series of strategies that place AF as a social movement that actively intervenes in the production of the peri-urban territory of La Plata. ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to characterize the milk production in the central Amazonian region of the state of Amazonas. A questionnaire, consisting of objective questions, was applied to a sample of 50 properties located in the municipalities of Careiro da Várzea and Itacoatiara. The studied mesoregion develops an extensive dairy cattle breeding, where most of the producers have low schooling (60%), did not receive financing or financial incentive (70%) for the development of the dairy activity, nor are they engaged in associations or cooperatives (96%). Manual milking occurs in 100% of the analyzed properties, only once a day, with only 10% performing hygiene procedures in milking. The average production identified in the region was 3. 5L/cow/day. The uncontrolled natural mount is the only way used in the reproductive management of the properties. The current production is diversified in cattle and bubaline mixed-race (90%). In this region all the owners make use of native pastures. This region develops an extensive dairy cattle ranching, and the efficiency of the production system is limited due to inadequate sanitary, reproductive and food management, which favors low animal productivity.

Family farming in Brazil is essential for the socioeconomic reproduction of families and food security for the population. The commercialization of products through short circuits promotes the social inclusion of women and men. This production and marketing model is also very important for the economic development of small municipalities and rural areas. Currently in Brazil, there are about 5,119 fairs, of which 624 are specialized in organic agriculture and Agroecology, in which most of them are located in municipalities with a population of less than 50 thousand inhabitants. Short circuits are important for active women to recognize themselves as agents of production. The study was carried out in the municipality of Pitanga/PR, which is located at latitude 24 º 45' 10" S longitude 51 º 45' 47". The Pitanga Family Agriculture Products Commercialization Center was created in 2014. The objective of this article was to analyze the importance of the Family Agriculture Products Commercialization Center in the municipality of Pitanga, PR, for women farmers, in the economic aspects and social. The research is descriptive and in the field survey a semi-structured script was used. The interviewees have different profiles of production, commercialization and perceptions. It is observed that through work, women achieve financial emancipation, better study conditions for their children, change in the dynamics of family production, reduce the process of masculinization of the countryside, the disentanglement of the domestic sphere and participation in movements. Education The national gerofarms program, conceived as a care system for the elderly of the National Institute of Social Service (INASS), incorporates agricultural activities in an organized manner, allowing the strengthening of community work capacities, as well as the generation of food in the spaces of the residential social centers (geriatrics). For the consolidation of food sovereignty in gerofarms, it is necessary to harmonize agricultural practices with ecological principles. That is why, the planting of polyculture of traditional items such as cassava, legumes and cucurbits, as well as the production of substitute flours of high nutritional value with the use of sustainable technologies, make up the pertinent interactions that could underpin the sustainability of said spaces. in stable and lasting socio-productive forms. The Institute of Advanced Study Foundation (IDEA) developed and supported this initiative at the “Cristina Reverón Pacheco” Residential Social Service Center (CSSCRP) of INASS, in Turmero Aragua state, Venezuela, for agroecological production and the substantial improvement of the diet of grandparents and grandmothers in said institution. Due to the national food crisis at that time, the initial objectives were expanded to turn the CSSCRP into a local seed propagation pilot center and food producer for the neighbors, as well as a multiplier of knowledge and training in agroecological practices. Returning to Earth's safe operating space requires driving social–ecological transformations toward a new human–nature configuration, while navigating changes and creatively dealing with crises. Family farms in the Colombian Andes have been navigating changes by using modalities of integrated management that recognize family interdependence with nature, which illustrates social–ecological resilience on a small scale. We potentiated family farming by creating FiNCO (Farms for knowledge exchange) as a strategy that renews the connection between disciplines, academia and farmers, and the rural and urban sectors, in order to promote knowledge co-production and landscape stewardship. In this sense, FiNCO is considered as a seed for a good Anthropocene. This paper is an invitation to plant FiNCO seeds in different social–ecological contexts and to share those experiences as an ideal way to create abilities to transform the upcoming humanity challenges into opportunities for humanity's needed transformation. This work characterizes and discusses aspects pertinent to the productive systems exploited by families based in the Microregion of Andradina / SP, as well as analyzes the access of these to the main public policies focused on family agriculture. Characterized by a qualitative-quantitative approach, field research included 30 producers belonging to eight settlements in the Microregion. On-site visits were performed, using as data collection instruments, mainly questionnaires and direct observation. The preponderance of dairy cattle raising in relation to income generation and production for self-consumption for the producers surveyed was verified (77% exploit the activity); however, the seasonality of production raises concerns, given the strong reduction in milk production during the dry season, observed in 80% of the analyzed cases. Allied to the dairy activity, among the public surveyed, stand out the strategies based on polyculture and the exploitation of crops that have relatively low production costs and do not require specific infrastructure. The need for public policy instruments in the Andradina Microregion to involve efforts that could effectively contribute to the expansion of the possibilities of socioeconomic reproduction strategies of the established producers; so that they are not doomed to the dairy cattle and to small areas of olericultura, in view of the strong limitations related to the available infrastructure and the weaknesses in the field of technical assistance and rural extension, observed in the agrarian reform spaces of the Microregion . Background: This study was conducted in the Penipe canton, Chimborazo province, Ecuador, the Objetive: is the characterizing and classifying the local family agriculture production systems. Methodology: The researchers worked with a total of 1,055 families, from which they extracted a sample (n=68) to conduct a study on geographical location, zoning, and survey interview, which included technical, socioeconomic, productive, and environmental aspects of the farms from a quantitative and qualitative standpoint. Results: express the characteristics of the production systems, allowing classifying and classifying the production systems of family agriculture in the canton. The conglomerated analysis using Ward's method and a 900-meter Euclidian distance divided the farms into three groups. Implications: Several aspects to be improved were identified, which limit the development of farms to be considered as sustainable systems, evaluating aspects of productivity, reliability in the productive system, resilience, adaptability, equity, and self-management by local producers. Conclusions: Specialized Family Agriculture (SFA) is made up of 19 families, with an average age of 54 years, land ownership of 1.57 hectares, additional labor hired at a rate of two days per week, and monthly earnings of $584 USD. Diversified Family Agriculture (DFF), composed of 34 families, with an average age of 53 years, land ownership of 6,99 ha, (95%) of families contracting additional labor to carry out agricultural activities, (8 daily wages/ campaign) and monthly earnings of $792 USD. Subsistence Family Agriculture (SFA), composed of 15 families, with an average age of 48 years, and land ownership of 0.54 ha, this production system is distinguished by the fact that it does not hire additional labor to carry out agricultural activities, as the majority of its output is devoted to self-sufficiency and earnings of $115 USD per month. This article presents the results of a qualitative study developed in 2019. The aim was to know and discuss obstacles and possibilities to promote adequate education to fulfill the needs of middle-school students. We conducted the research in four schools of Field Education in the Tomé-Açu, in the state of Pará, which use the Modular Organizational System, Alternance Pedagogy, and interdisciplinary projects. The research is grounded on the dialectic method, seeking to discuss and reflect the educational reality in a rural context. Thus, we were guided by official national and municipal documents. The study has shown the contextualization of the curriculum with students’ experiences, emphasizing the problems and strategies developed to guarantee the offer of a more useful, viable, possible, and contextualized school education.

Several actions were deployed to contain the propagation of the new coronavirus and the flattening of the contagion curve, or rather, social distancing with partial or total suspension of commercial activities, including agricultural fairs. Current research identifies the effects of the pandemic on production and commercialization by family farmers in the Project of Sustainable Development Porto Seguro in Marabá PA Brazil. Study comprised field research and the application of a questionnaire with questions on the farmer's profile, characteristics of activities and impacts by the pandemic. Data from qualitative and quantitative approaches were tabulated and interpreted by descriptive analysis. Results showed a production increase by farmers and changes in sanitary practices. However, trade decreased and prices remained stable, impairing family income. Emergency help was important for income supplementation. Farmers had at their disposal TV, radio and WhatsApp for information, even though access to the Internet was not without difficulties. According to the interviewees, the pandemic's main negative items were lockouts, difficulties in selling, impairment of health and loss of products. Access to agricultural services promotes agricultural production and livelihoods of smallholders in most developing countries. The purpose of this study was to analyze the socioeconomic determinants that influence the application of agricultural practices in peasant families in northern Colombia. Categorical and numerical variables of demographic information were evaluated at 200 Agricultural Production Units (APU) in the five prioritized municipalities. With the data obtained, multiple correspondence analysis (MCA) and principal component analysis (PCA) were performed. The results indicated heterogeneity in terms of farmer cooperative, socioeconomic factors and agricultural practices. The study found that education level, income from agriculture, farmer cooperative and credit were determinant factors for most of the agricultural practices that were considered. The results also indicate that non-agricultural income did not influence household well-being. It was found that extension services in the area of the study are insufficient and that farmers face difficulties in having access to credit and loans. Understanding of these factors is essential for the formulation and implementation of intervention strategies aimed at improving the quality of life of these communities, and to preserve and manage human, social, agricultural and financial capital. In Brazil, the National School Feeding Program (PNAE) and the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) are government procurement policies aimed at guaranteeing food security for family farmers and students. Using Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, as a case study, the purpose of this work was to explain the operation, coordination, and reorganization of these policies during the COVID-19 pandemic. A qualitative research methodology was used, based on the analysis of information obtained from interviews, specialized discussion forums, and a review of relevant documents, such as local and national guidelines. The results highlight the need to include crisis management strategies that are associated with the public policies studied and new regulatory frameworks to promote PAA-PNAE synergy.

Abstract Liqueur is an alcoholic beverage composed of a mixture of water, alcohol, sugar and substances that add flavour and aroma. Wild passion fruit is a product with good agricultural and nutritional characteristics, and is a low-cost, regional fruit that could be used to elaborate new products. The goal of this study was to develop passion fruit (Passiflora cincinnata Mast.) liqueurs and evaluate their chemical, physical and sensory characteristics. 5 formulations were prepared with defined pulp and syrup concentrations (F1, F2, F3, F4 and F5). The following physicochemical parameters were evaluated: alcohol degree (ºGL), density, pH, total titratable acidity, total soluble solids (TSS), reducing and non-reducing sugars and colour parameters. A sensory acceptance test was applied. The formulations F4 and F5, produced with 640g pulp/70ºBrix syrup and 500g pulp/55ºBrix syrup, respectively, showed the highest acceptance scores, probably due to their acid pH, high acidity and soluble solids values. In general, the beverages developed were considered feasible, aimed at aggregating value to a regional fruit and increasing family incomes. The high sensory acceptance indicated market potential for this aggregated value product.

The objective was to assess grazing as an element of profitability and competitiveness of a small-scale lamb fattening production system in central México and compare its economic performance by means of an analysis of scenarios. Two scenarios were analysed to assess the contribution of grazing on profitability and competitiveness. The first analysis was when grazing was the feed base, and secondly, costs of opportunity and economic impacts were studied under the assumption that sheep do not graze, and total feed has to be bought from external suppliers. The economic effect of grazing on the profitability was analysed by means of the Policy Analysis Matrix. Differences were found between strata; farmers with more than 70 sheep have the best profitability indices and the least vulnerability under the non-grazing scenario. Grazing had a positive effect reducing the cost of production and increasing competitiveness in the four strata assessed. However, farmers with higher technical level, specialised breeds and larger flocks (strata 3 and 4) have higher economic profits. The conclusion was that the profitability in fattening sheep is linked to taking advantage of grazing. However, to keep and improve the current financial performance, there is a need for the adoption of strategies for an integral improvement of the system and the adoption of better grazing management to further reduce production costs. Soil degradation is a process resulting from the management adopted by the industrial agriculture, that configures an ecological and social crisis. In this context, agroecology as a movement, science, and practice, values diversification of food production respecting the edaphoclimatic conditions of the ecosystems. The agroecological practices demand methods that help farmers assess the health of their soils. Pfeiffer Chromatography is a simple and low-cost diagnostic tool. This article aimed to understand the soil health status in four land uses (agroforestry system, banana with green manure, fallow area, and forest fragment) in a certified biodynamic farm, located in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The results obtained, in a qualitative and quantitative way, allow us to affirm that the soils of forest fragment area and agroforestry system were the healthiest. Family farming produces most of the fresh food consumed in large urban centers. However, its success depends on a variety of public policies, which range from strengthening the means of production to supporting marketing channels. In this article, we conduct a careful bibliometric analysis of studies in the international literature that address "family farming, public policies, and socioeconomic development". The aim of the study is to identify and classify the public policies aimed at supporting family farming and socioeconomic development. We carried out a systematic literature review considering five international scientific journal databases using pairs of the keywords "public policies", "family farming" and "socioeconomic development". The resulting sample was a total of 625 articles, covering the period between 1984 and 2020. A bibliometric analysis of the first 50 articles selected by the Methodi Ordinatio tool was performed. For the final portfolio, 10 variables were analyzed to better assess and understand the current literature. Our analysis shows an increase in publications in the last five years, with articles from South America being more prevalent than those from other continents. This study addresses scientific production on the relationship between state, school feeding and family agriculture in Brazil, before and after the reformulation of the National School Feeding Program (PNAE) in 2009. For this purpose, a bibliometric survey was conducted in order to draw a quantitative overview of research of interest, presented as to its publication periods, areas of knowledge, dissemination channels, methodological approaches and keywords most used. Subsequently, a thematic categorization of all selected works was performed, aiming at identifying the main emphasized subjects, to then highlight the general evidences found and systematized from a qualitative review of its content. Thus, a privileged approach to the operationalization of the PNAE was obtained, demonstrating concrete aspects on the challenges and potentials associated with the insertion of family agriculture in institutional markets, while emphasizing possible factors for the potentiation of this instrument in the Brazilian territory.

ABSTRACT: Family farming produces most of the fresh food consumed in large urban centers. However, its success depends on a variety of public policies, which range from strengthening the means of production to supporting marketing channels. In this article, we conduct a careful bibliometric analysis of studies in the international literature that address “family farming, public policies, and socioeconomic development”. The aim of the study is to identify and classify the public policies aimed at supporting family farming and socioeconomic development. We carried out a systematic literature review considering five international scientific journal databases using pairs of the keywords “public policies”, “family farming” and “socioeconomic development”. The resulting sample was a total of 625 articles, covering the period between 1984 and 2020. A bibliometric analysis of the first 50 articles selected by the Methodi Ordinatio tool was performed. This work is based on the construction of an ideal type on social, socio-spatial and socioterritorial movements to carry out a comparative analysis with a social group of family producers from the southwest of the Province of Buenos Aires and its border with the Province of La Pampa, Argentina. The objective of the work is the construction of the ideal type of the categories social movement, socio-spatial movement and socio-territorial movement to analyse the specific case of the group "Roots of the Southwest". The methodology used is mainly qualitative based on the comparative method. For Cuba it is clear that it continues to be a challenge to raise agricultural production with sustainability, therefore, it is important to study the population that carries out the projected transformations, especially the families involved in the municipalities where that economic activity is the center of your development program. The present study, as part of a broader investigation, aimed to analyze the family-farm relationship of agricultural producers associated with Credit and Service Cooperatives (CCS) in the municipality of El Salvador (May 2018 - March 2019), Guantánamo province, through the study of the family-farm life cycle and its possibilities of family replacement. Research techniques such as content analysis, structured interview, supported by descriptive statistics and multivariate analysis in SPSS Statistics 21 were combined. The family-farm relationship in the municipality of El Salvador is active, direct and diverse. Although the family replacement rate is considered high for the UFPA-CCS, there are still producers without family replacement in this municipality, with the growth and dispersion/delivery stages prevailing in the family-farm life cycle. Resumen Para Cuba queda claro que continúa siendo un desafío elevar la producción agropecuaria con sostenibilidad, por tanto, resulta importante el estudio de la población que lleva a cabo las transformaciones que se proyectan, especialmente las familias implicadas en los municipios donde esa actividad económica es centro de su programa de desarrollo. El presente estudio, como parte de una investigación más amplia, se propuso analizar la relación familia-finca de productores agropecuarios asociados a Cooperativas de Créditos y Servicios (CCS) en el municipio El Salvador (mayo 2018-marzo 2019), provincia de Guantánamo, a través del estudio del ciclo de vida familia-finca y sus posibilidades de reemplazo familiar. Se combinaron técnicas de investigación tales como el análisis de contenido, la entrevista estructurada, apoyados en la estadística descriptiva y el análisis multivariado en SPSS Statistics 21. La relación familia-finca en el municipio El Salvador se manifiesta activa, directa y diversa. Aunque se considera alto el índice de reemplazo familiar para las unidades familiares de producción agropecuaria asociadas a las Cooperativas de Créditos y Servicios (UFPA-CCS), aún existen productores sin reemplazo familiar en este municipio, con predominio de las etapas de crecimiento y dispersión/entrega en el ciclo vital familia-finca.

The objective of this paper is to propose a typology for the Economic Organizations of Family Agriculture (OEAFs) in Brazil. From the SIES database a Multiple Factor Analysis was proposed to find the possible types of OEAFs. Four Types were determined. Subsequently, logistic regressions were made in order to verify which socioeconomic and regional characteristics were most related to each of the four types found. The results suggest that Type 1 are OEAFs from family farming, from rural areas, from less complex managerial organization and from poorer regions of Brazil. Type 2 includes younger OEAFs, composed of cooperatives as well as less developed regions of the country. Type 3 is characterized by cooperatives, Enterprises from Agrarian Reform, and the northern region of the country. And, finally, Type 4 is marked by even younger OEAFs, Business Agriculture, non-rural activities and located in the most dynamic regions of the country.

In Brazil, the National School Feeding Program (PNAE) and the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) are government procurement policies aimed at guaranteeing food security for family farmers and students. Using Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, as a case study, the purpose of this work was to explain the operation, coordination, and reorganization of these policies during the COVID-19 pandemic. A qualitative research methodology was used, based on the analysis of information obtained from interviews, specialized discussion forums, and a review of relevant documents, such as local and national guidelines. The results highlight the need to include crisis management strategies that are associated with the public policies studied and new regulatory frameworks to promote PAA-PNAE synergy. Land use planning in rural settlements is elaborated under the Plan for the Development of the Settlement (PDS), aiming at socioeconomic development of family farmers and environmental sustainability. The objective of this research is to analyze the space-time dynamics of the vegetation cover and land use of the Facão Estadual and Facão/Bom Jardim settlements, in the municipality of Cáceres-MT. For the elaboration of the space-time analysis of the settlements, images of the satellites Landsat 5, from the years of 1986, 1996 and 2006 and Landsat 8 of 2016 and Geographic Information System were used. The Anthropic Transformation Index (ATI) of the years studied was calculated. It was observed that there was a decrease in native vegetation due to the increase of livestock, and this practice occurs in the study areas before they were established in settlements and the ATI of the settlements in 1984 was a little degraded, and from 1996 it began to regulate in the settlement Facão Estadual and in the following years for the Facão/Bom Jardim. It was concluded that in the settlements studied the vegetation of wooded Savannah is predominant, with the presence of forested Savannah, that are being suppressed, due to the growth of the Planted Pasture for the maintenance of the dairy and cutting cattle, allowing the alteration of the landscape and implying in the reduction of the biodiversity of the Cerrado in the investigated areas. Juridical treatment given to family agriculture in Brazil as a means of sustainable production is analyzed through the hypothetical and deductive method couple to an investigation on legislation and on books and articles. Family agriculture became visible in Brazil during the 1990s when several public policies were established to foment the activity. Normative treatment given to family agriculture in Brazil evidences its benefits such as healthy and diversified food, crop rotation and boosting of local economy. This study aims to identify the variables measuring the sustainable development in agriculture, its antecedents, barriers and consequences, confirming its factors and testing the relations between them. Having in mind these aims, the research was conducted through three phases. In phase 1, qualitative research was adopted, holding 23 semi-structured interviews with family farmers. Phase 2 and 3 used quantitative research with, respectively, 220 and 219 family farmers. In phase 1, it was possible to verify that sustainable development in agriculture, its antecedents, barriers and consequences. In phase 2, the factors were identified as follows: perception of the sustainable development in agriculture (natural agriculture; innovation and technology; environmental aspects), antecedents (external influences; engagement with sustainability; concern about future generations; environmental motivators; and individual characteristics), barriers (lack of information and knowledge; lack of planning and support), and consequences (socio-environmental benefits; subjective well-being). The results of the structural model demonstrate that the predictors external influences and engagement with sustainability influenced the family farmers' perception of what sustainable development in agriculture is. The barriers construct (lack of information and knowledge; lack of planning and support) moderate the relationship between external influences and how sustainable development in agriculture is perceived. The constructs of social benefits and feeling of subjective well-being were perceived as consequences of sustainable development in agriculture. Through the review and systematization of specialized historical bibliography and information collected from the mass media and exploratory interviews, in this article we seek to identify and analyze the emergence and becoming of access to land of family farming as a 'question' throughout Argentine history. In line with our analytical theoretical perspective on public policy, which is based on the social process that is orchestrated around a "socially problematized issue", we set ourselves this objective. We conclude that it is a problem whose origin dates back to the founding moments of the Argentine nation-state and therefore we carry out a historical review.
