1. IL MOSAICO DI FRANCESCO SAVINI PER LA CASSA DI RISPARMIO DI TERAMO, 1958.

Abstract

This essay analyses the large mosaic panel which stands on the side façade of the main branch of the former Cassa di Risparmio in Teramo, built at the end of the 1950s along Corso San Giorgio, in the historical centre of the city. Made by Franco D’Urso, and designed by Francesco Savini in 1958, the work represents a unicum in the artist’s output, and shows the political commitment that characterizes his early career. The analysis and the interpretation of this private commission of a public decoration is carried out thanks to unpublished documentation found in the archive of the artist’s family and in the Archivio di Stato in Teramo. Abstract

The environmental survey with the digital technology acquisition of Terrestrial Laser Scanner (= TLS) nowadays represents a rapid and precise application in many fields of science and technology. The Terrestrial Laser Scanner technology integrated with differential GPS can be used in the geomorphological, geophysics, engineering and archeological applications. This kind of technology, joined with the classical methods of the archaeological area survey, allows us to study the site of interest with reduced approximation. The TLS survey methods, in fact, let us not only a fast acquisition of data but also the possibility to take advantage of the points cloud for a lot of the final purposes, such as the three-dimensional reconstruction of the scenario and the creation of a rendering of a particular detail.

Capita, nella vita, di incontrare il dolore perun amico che ci lascia, per un collaboratoreprezioso che non c’è più, per un professionistadi livello che se ne va e scava un vuoto, un buco,che poi non si colma.Ecco, questo è successo a noi dell’IstitutoZooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e delMolise quando Bernardo Di Emidio, il 23gennaio, è mancato. Abbiamo incontrato undolore grande (e mi perdonerete se parlo delmio), io personalmente in quel dolore sonoinciampato con violenza, perché l’amico DiEmidio aveva condiviso in tutto il tempo in cuiabbiamo lavorato insieme, ogni preoccupazione,tensione, soddisfazione e progettualità.Difficile, per me, è stato ricordarlo proprio ilgiorno dopo la sua morte, in apertura di unconvegno, con la platea piena della gentedell’Istituto e ognuno con gli occhi rossi, losgomento e la solitudine già forte della perditascolpita sul volto. L’abbiamo salutato lì, gli hodetto grazie e ciao da parte di tutti gli altri, manon l’abbiamo mai salutato davvero.Non l’ha ancora fatto nessuno di noi, echissà se lo faremo mai, perché da Bernardonon vogliamo separarci.Sulle pagine di questa rivista, che rendonomerito e onore a tanti ottimi professionisti,proprio su una rivista scientifica, che per ilnostro ambiente è il momento del confronto,spesso «della verità», voglio ricordareBernardo Di Emidio.Voglio ricordarlo all’intera comunitàscientifica per quel grande lavoratore che èstato, per quella piena fiducia che i suoicollaboratori gli davano, per quel bellissimo rapporto che con loro aveva saputo costruire,ricominciando ad ogni nuovo arrivo.
