Although social justice is an old concept, practical applications of it in education are relatively new and highly dependent on contextual variables, just as social justice leadership. Social justice leadership has been fostered by various distinctive factors in western and eastern societies. From this point of view, the authors attempt to compare Greek and Turkish school principals' social justice leadership to reveal the similarities and differences between them. In this qualitative case study, 12 principals from Greece and Turkey were interviewed through in-depth semi-structured interview questions. Comparative analysis was employed to identify the similarities and differences between principals' practices, internal and external social justice leadership resources, supports and hindrances. The results show that while the principals adopt universal social justice principles, they also use their own methods because of their schools' contexts and their life experiences.

Extant literature about the history and impact of federal financial aid is robust, however, financial aid eligibility and its connection to persistence for continuing students is an area less understood. As a result, this study describes how at-promise students articulate their knowledge of federal financial aid policy during COVID-19. We interviewed 14 students who were on financial aid warning, a status defined by federal financial aid policy regulations, to examine what students understand about their financial aid standing and the criteria to keep their funding. Findings suggest students were often confused about financial aid eligibility criteria, even though they confidently expressed incorrect information about financial aid policies. Moreover, students were uncertain about how to connect with institutional financial aid resources and did not understand that financial aid advising extended beyond their first semester. This study fills multiple gaps in the literature and articulates how institutions can improve students' understanding of financial aid policy through multiple modes of communication, intentional interventions, and clearer policies. Difficult life circumstances can make anyone vulnerable. For example, families of children with special needs are at risk, as are families facing other stressful circumstances, such as poverty or parental mental illness. This article builds on previous action research by Plavcak (2020) and introduces a new research problem. We conducted a qualitative analysis of action diary data to answer two new research questions: 1) In what forms did vulnerability appear in students' families, and 2) What approaches did professionals use to reduce perceived vulnerability? Our findings suggest that families of children with special needs should be approached with sensitivity, flexibility, and balanced interventions. It is important to understand families in the context of their lives, including the emotional stages of caring for a child with special needs and other difficult circumstances they may face. Interventions should be tailored to the specific needs of families and developed collaboratively with them.

The purpose of this study is to examine the network effect of school principals as it relates to school improvement. Network practices of school principals are compared to an innovative practice for improving networking practices. Through descriptive statistics and chi-square goodness of fit, we illustrate the difference between what school principals do concerning their networking practices for school improvement compared to an innovative ideal approach for using network working for school improvement. Findings indicate there is a statistically significant difference between school principals' networking practices in comparison to ideal networking practices for school improvement. There are also differences between who school principals seek out for ideas and who they seek out for feedback concerning their school improvements. Further discussion informs how the next generation of school principals can be equipped with innovative skills for tackling 21st-century school improvement issues.

College students with disabilities continue to experience various challenges in their transition into postsecondary education. However, limited research has focused on their initial transition, despite the significance of its impact on college students with disabilities. This qualitative study examined first-semester transition experiences among freshmen with disabilities at a public research university in the Southeastern United States. Responses (i.e., post-course interviews, course reflections, online discussion boards) from thirteen students of 2018 to 2021 cohorts of the Engage 100 course (an orientation program for freshmen with disabilities) were analyzed through a qualitative analysis approach. The results indicated that college freshmen benefit in their social and academic transition through enrolling in the Engage 100 course. The results highlight the need for disability support services and for college campuses to foster transition success for college students with disabilities.

As students transition from high school to university, they must navigate new academic learning environments, develop new social networks, manage multiple new responsibilities, explore and regulate independence, and deal with the stressors that they will encounter. Successful transitioning to university often involves sources of support as well as internal resources. The current study aimed to understand supports and challenges of first year undergraduate students in their transition to university. A total of 66 first year undergraduate students participated in this study. Participants answered four open-ended questions about supports and personal factors during their transition to university. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis and codes were systematically generated across the dataset. Themes were identified once coding was complete. The four themes that emerged were informational, instrumental, and emotional supports, and internal resources. Students transitioning to university may benefit from transition programs and resilience modeling to facilitate a successful transition.

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent school closures have had profound impacts on learners and their families globally, affecting their psychosocial wellbeing. However, the extent and nature of these effects, particularly in diverse socioeconomic contexts, remain largely under-explored. Aim: This study aimed to investigate the effects of school closures on the psychosocial wellbeing of children and parents in South Africa's Gauteng province. Setting: The research included families from various socioeconomic backgrounds in Gauteng province, South Africa. Methods: Using an ethnographic research approach, diary-style entries via the WhatsApp mobile app were collected from 43 families, and semi-structured telephonic interviews were conducted with 21 families. Results: The study found that children experienced adverse emotions, including loneliness, boredom, anxiety and isolation during school closures. Parents reported elevated stress levels and increased caregiving burden. The severity of impact was influenced by access to resources for online or home-schooling. Conclusion: The findings highlight the multi-dimensional implications of school closures on families and underscore the importance of providing adequate support during such disruptions, taking into account the varying effects across socioeconomic backgrounds. Contribution: This study fills a crucial gap in understanding the psychosocial impacts of school closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic on children and parents within diverse socioeconomic contexts. The findings call for equitable access to educational resources, evidence-based remediation efforts, and integrated mental health support services.

The purpose of this study was to describe the association between the learning strategy preference of the learners as identified by "Assessing The Learning Strategies of AdultS" (ATLAS) and the individual personality traits as defined by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). The sample was 553 adults in Canada and the United States. Two types of analyses were used to investigate the association between learning strategy preferences and personality traits. First, discriminant analysis explored the interaction of personality traits with the learning strategy preference. Second, analysis of variance measured the association of each personality trait with the learning-strategy-preference groups separately. The findings provided several explicit personality traits associated with each learning-strategy-preference group. These findings support the conclusion that a strong association exists between personality traits and learning-strategy-preference characteristics. Learning strategy preferences and personality traits complement each other. Each clarifies and enriches the other. As a result, teachers have two indicators that can help them personalize the teaching-learning environment for each student. Teachers can use the learning-strategy-group descriptions as guides for organizing each learner's instructional activities and plans and as a cognitive framework for uncovering and monitoring student behaviors and alerting teachers to potential learning difficulties for some students. Students can apply the descriptions of the learning-strategy-preference groups to facilitate self-assessment and metacognition. Theory can be enhanced by considering the two concepts of learning strategy preferences and personality traits coupled and by conducting quantitative and qualitative research to test and expand the generalizability of the learning-strategy-group descriptions. In design education, students benefit not only from their project courses' content but also from the information resources they contain. When it comes to the repetition of unique problems and solution-oriented approaches in the design professions, the resources used to research solutions for the problems encountered in design education are also specific to that problem. This situation highlights resource diversity, and especially resource sharing, at various stages and thus opens a view into innovation habits among designers' behaviors. This empirical study explores whether or not designers' behaviors can be related to their practices in design project courses, regarding their open innovation tendencies. Semi-structured interviews with 20 designers are used to form a case study. Interviewees had experience with both in-house designers and freelancers, therefore purposive sampling was used. The results were analyzed thematically and discussed under open innovation practices.

A teacher's creative potential (CP) is recognised as an integrative personality trait that includes the ability to develop innovative teaching ideas, find practical solutions to non-standard teaching tasks, select the most effective methods for engaging in creative pedagogical activities and contribute to the development of students' creativity. The purpose of the study is to identify the primary school teachers' level of CP and to explore barriers to its development. The study employed a mixed-methods research design, analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data collected by means of a survey and interviews with primary school teachers. The literature review has shown that teachers may foster their students' creativity if they have the necessary CP, ample knowledge, resources and tools, apply creativity-development techniques and create an environment that encourages creative collaboration. The survey's results showed that across all age groups and qualification levels, primary teachers' CP development was at a medium level. The interviews revealed the conditions and barriers to CP development such as psycho-emotional and educational factors and resources. The study findings will contribute to further comprehension and improvement of teachers' CP development in higher and vocational education.

A scientometric analysis and systematic review of an immersive virtual learning environment (IVLE) designed to improve the development of hard skills comprised this study. The review focused on the period between 2016 and 2023 and was conducted using the Scopus database. This study employed a scientometrics analysis and systematic review methodology. In this study, a comprehensive analysis was conducted on a corpus of 12 scholarly articles that have been published within the last 8 years. This study looked at the aggregate magnitude and trajectory of scholarly publications and looked at a number of trends in scholarly research, including annual reports, article counts, article distribution across different sources, finding the most useful sources, keyword analysis, looking into the best collaboration groups, looking at how themes have changed over time, judging contributions, and practical implications. The primary findings regarding the data and document types indicated that a total of 12 articles were published across 10 different sources within the timeframe of 2016 to 2023. The research conducted on IVLE for the development of hard skills exhibited fluctuations in its pace, alternating between deceleration and positive acceleration. The growth rate of the articles peaked in 2022. The primary publication with the greatest of source is "Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems." Keyword Plus growth rate for terms like "virtual reality," "e-learning," and "teaching." The nations exhibit a high degree of collaboration in the field of research. The findings indicated that the authors hailing from Mexico and Colombia exhibited the greatest frequency (n = 2). The thematic evolution of the study indicated two significant advancements: firstly, the emergence of e-learning studies that have propelled the field of e-learning, and secondly, the integration of virtual reality into e-learning practices. The classification of applications encompasses various components: title, solution, learning strategy, and learning tasks.

The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated inequities within higher education. This study examined how first-generation students, compared to their continuing-generation peers, navigated institutional resources such as programs and academic advising during the pandemic. To examine institutional resource barriers, usage, and helpfulness for students, the study analyzed survey data of 524 students at a four-year private university in the United States. Results showed that lack of time, awareness, and access to institutional resources were barriers for first-generation students in using institutional resources. Furthermore, qualitative findings reveal factors that first-generation students found helpful in their college career: transparency of institutional resources on campus, initiative from institutional figures in reaching out to students, and holistic support for academic, personal, and professional development.

The mental health treatment gap remains wide across the world despite mental illness being a significant cause of disability globally. Both end-user and healthcare provider perspectives are critical to understanding barriers to mental healthcare and developing interventions. However, the views of providers are relatively understudied. In this review, we synthesized findings from current literature regarding providers' perspectives on barriers to mental healthcare in Canada. We searched Medline, PsycINFO, Embase, and CINAHL for eligible Canadian studies published since 2000. Analysis and quality assessment were conducted on the included studies. Of 4,773 reports screened, 29 moderate-high quality studies were reviewed. Five themes of barriers emerged: health systems availability and complexity (reported in 72% of the studies), work conditions (55%), training/education (52%), patient accessibility (41%), and identity-based sensitivity (17%). Common barriers included lack of resources, fragmented services, and gaps in continuing education. Interestingly, clinicians often cited confusion in determining the ideal service for patients due to an overwhelming number of potential services without clear descriptions. These five domains of barriers present a synthesized review of areas of improvement for mental healthcare spanning both patients and clinicians. Canadian mental health systems face a need to improve capacity, clinician training, and in particular service navigability and collaboration.

Priority-setting is a collective responsibility centred around inclusive engagement and alignment with the needs and desired outcomes of the community. In this study, we leveraged the collective expertise of stakeholders from the child and family service system, to identify priorities for supporting the health, education and wellbeing of children and families living in Logan, Queensland. A pragmatic approach combining a modified nominal group technique and consensus methodology was undertaken. Key system factors were identified and consolidated into 10 priority areas, which were ranked via an online questionnaire. The top three priority areas were identified by the service system as (i) early family and child support programs, (ii) support and resourcing of existing services, and (iii) recognition and support of a diverse community. These results present an opportunity to leverage the local knowledge and expertise of the service system to design solutions that address the greatest challenges for children and families in place.

An increasing culture of performativity has led to changes in the organizational landscape of academic institutions. While the impact of these changes on outputs is well documented, their impact on academics' strategic research agendas is still an emerging topic. This study expands upon previous research on this issue and focuses on comparing these dynamics across all fields of science using a global sample of academics. We found that most of the relationships between organizational features and research agendas were mostly consistent across disciplines, with variations mainly in the strength rather than the direction of effects. The perceived access to resources, autonomy, and collegiality was the key driver in promoting ambitious, collaborative, discovery-driven, and multidisciplinary agendas. Furthermore, our findings suggest a concerning trend in research institutions: academics that are more willing to stay in their institutions and are more aligned with its demands are less inclined to pursue trailblazing agendas. Although most of these effects were universal, some field-specific dynamics are also discussed, notably in what concerns the so-called "hard" sciences. This study highlights the importance of promoting a collegial environment with a high degree of autonomy to foster discovery-driven research and underscores the potential risks of the "publish or perish" culture prevalent in academia.

At a large suburban high school in the United States, the first home football game was taking place after missing a full season due to the pandemic. The stands were packed as the school community gathered to celebrate the return to some normalcy. Shortly after the third quarter began, a beloved coach/teacher collapsed on the sideline. Paramedics arrived within 10 minutes, CPR was administered, and 20 minutes later, he was transported to a local hospital, and within a few days, he passed away. This case captures the lived experiences of a school principal and how she was able to lead her school community through a devastating event witnessed by so many. It also highlights the challenges that school leaders face when dealing with an unexpected tragedy to include the quick decisions that must be made, the importance of timely and accurate communication, privacy considerations, and ensuring social emotional support is in place for all who have been impacted. This experience is based on a real event, however, all identifying information (names, etc.) has been changed along with some of the circumstances surrounding the event. This case provides school leaders an opportunity to apply cognitive resource theory to unexpected tragedies that many will undoubtedly face at some point in their career.

School-based mental health professionals consistently report that they are either not prepared to support grieving students, or do not have time to integrate crisis intervention support into their hectic schedule. Given that inadequate school mental health services can increase a bereaved student's risk of developing emotional problems, it is critical that school psychologists increase their comfort in grief. This study surveyed 75 school psychologists in the Northwestern United States regarding their training and experience in grief support. A reflexive thematic analysis identified four themes related to the challenges and recommendations in grief support: lack of training, limited role of the school psychologist, lack of formalized grief response system, and lack of school and community resources. Furthermore, only 3% of participants reported taking the lead in providing grief support and 64% provide grief support fewer than five times a year. The majority (81%) reported that they had zero courses devoted to grief support during their graduate degree, with more participants (67%) obtaining grief training postdegree. Study limitations, areas for further research, and implications for schools and school psychologists are also discussed.

The European Union has made a firm commitment to quality education for active citizenship taking up the demands of international movements and organisations, making gender equality a fundamental part of it. As previous research has shown a precarious implementation of these demands in Spain, in this study, we conduct 24 semi-structured interviews with key informant university professors who provide clues about the existing resistance and counter-resistance in the implementation of gender equality in initial teacher training. The results show how agents and their discourses impact on training, both positively and negatively, as well as the institutions in relation to their own organisational culture, resources and material elements, and influences. The information they supply provides insight into the limitations and possibilities for changing the culture and practice of higher education organisations at the international level in order to enhance gender mainstreaming in universities.

School nurses are uniquely positioned to support lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning/queer (LGBTQ) students. One approach is involvement in Gender and Sexuality Alliances (GSAs). GSAs have been found to improve outcomes for LGBTQ students. The purposes of this quality improvement project were to build infrastructure for GSAs by implementing a GSA Support Plan including a digital resource binder, GSA advisor trainings, and establishment of an Advisor Leadership Committee and increase the number of schools with a GSA. The binder was distributed electronically to 95 advisors. Forty-nine participants attending virtual trainings. A statistically significant increase in all measures of participant confidence occurred between the pre- and post-training surveys. The Advisor Leadership Committee was established. This paper adds to the literature by showing that support for GSAs is important to aiding LGBTQ students. Further, authors suggest ways in which school nurses can harness their expertise to be involved with GSAs.

Self-regulated learning depends on task difficulty and on learners' resources and cognitive load, as described by an inverted U-shaped relationship in Seufert's (2018) model: for easy tasks, resources are high and load is low, so there is no need to regulate, whereas for difficult tasks, load is too high and resources are too low to regulate. Only at moderate task difficulty do learners regulate, as resources and load are in equilibrium. The purpose of this study is to validate this model, i.e., the inverted U-shaped relationship between task difficulty and self-regulatory activities, as well as learner resources and cognitive load as mediators. In the within-subject study, 67 participants reported their cognitive and metacognitive strategy use for four exams of varying difficulty. For each exam task difficulty, cognitive load, and available resources (such as prior knowledge, interest, etc.) were assessed. Multilevel analysis revealed an inverted U-shaped relationship between task difficulty and the use of cognitive strategies. For metacognitive strategies, only a linear relationship was found. Increasing cognitive load mediated these relationship patterns. For learner resources we found a competitive mediation, indicating that further mediators could be relevant. In future investigations a broader range of task difficulty should be examined.

This study examined opportunities and barriers for implementing evidence-based Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programs in Prairie Canadian Schools. Educators from Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta completed an online survey on SEL feasibility and reported on five feasibility domains: (1) attitudes about SEL, (2) knowledge about SEL, (3) job stress, (4) resources for implementing SEL, and (5) SEL practices. Results indicated that positive attitudes toward SEL significantly predicted increased perceived feasibility for evidence-based SEL implementation. Additionally, both knowledge and access to resources predicted increased SEL practice by Prairie Canadian educators. Analyses for open-ended responses paralleled quantitative results. Specifically, Canadian educators had positive views about SEL programing, but like previous research conducted in other countries, indicated that they require better access to SEL training, and resources (e.g., more time to plan and teach SEL, funding and program materials). A unique Canadian context-related finding from this study was that some Prairie Canadian educators indicated a paucity of French materials for SEL programs, which impeded implementation. In order to effectively implement evidence-based SEL in Prairie Canadian schools, policy makers must address the indicated barriers for Canadian educators, such as increased SEL training and resources, and easy access to appropriate French materials.

Professionals and communication partners report experiencing challenges with regard to developing the knowledge and skills needed to support individuals with complex communication needs who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). These challenges can be exacerbated in rural and remote areas where access to resources and training may be limited. This practitioner-focused article provides evidence-based strategies for addressing the knowledge and skill needs experienced by professionals and communication partners in rural communities, including strategies for (a) identifying AAC knowledge and skill needs, (b) accessing AAC resources, (c) using principles of instructional design and instructional coaching to address identified areas of need, (d) considering contexts for instruction, and (e) examining contextual fit.

The main purpose of this research is to develop a measure to determine university students' perceptions of the flipped learning model. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted within the scope of the validity study of the scale, and its internal consistency was analyzed for its reliability. The data for exploratory factor analysis was collected from 360 preservice teachers who experienced the flipped learning model in the 2019-2020 academic year. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, a three-dimensional structure (learning readiness, learning support and motivational interaction) consisting of 22 items was obtained, and factor loadings were between 0.82 and 0.50. The total variance ratio explained by the factors of the scale was determined as 57.59. Moreover, the confirmatory factor analysis was carried out on the data obtained from 354 pre-service teachers who did not participate in the exploratory factor analysis study. The most important values for CFA were X[superscript 2] =719.34; df=201; RMSEA = 0.08; SRMR =0.06; CFI = 0.97 and NNFI =0.97, which showed an acceptable level of fit confirming the three-factor structure. The findings show that the developed scale is a valid and reliable measure to determine the perceptions of university students regarding the flipped learning model.

This large-scale study aimed to investigate the impacts of underlying factors on lecturers' burnout in emergency online classrooms during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The study attracted the participation of 399 lecturers conducting online emergency classrooms from 30 universities and colleges across Vietnam. Data analyses with EFA, CFA, and SEM indicated that such factors as support resources, anxiety towards emergency online teaching and Coronavirus, lecturer's technological and pedagogical content, and knowledge significantly impacted their burnout levels. In contrast, no significant difference in burnout states was found between lecturers with different demographic features, genders, and residences. The results from this study also suggested critical pedagogical implications for higher education leaders and administrators to prepare emergency online classes for sustained education in times of crisis.

Young people struggle to seek help for their mental health, despite having different resources available. As the coping process is very complex, and elements such as trust and availability of resources have been said to influence it, this study aimed to understand how young people cope with their own or a friend's symptoms of poor mental health. Eleven young people (13-15 years old) were interviewed. Thematic Analysis of the interviews showed that participants reported different coping strategies for dealing with their own hypothetical symptoms and those of a friend. Participants identified the social impact of experiencing symptoms of poor mental health and choice of resources as the main factors influencing their coping strategies. For their own symptoms, young people expressed concern about being judged and that they would only disclose to someone they trust. Participants would not disclose a friend's symptoms because they did not want to break their trust. Finally, choice of resources was mainly influenced by the severity of symptoms being experienced, especially when it comes to asking for professional help. This study contributes to a better understanding of the different ways in which young people cope with their own symptoms and symptoms experienced by a friend.

This research aims to address the challenges of digital transformation in education by understanding the digital competence of teachers through a mixed-methods approach. The grounded theory is employed to develop the Teachers' Digital Competence Model (TDCM), which is structured around three facets: development, pedagogy, and ethics. Within these facets, six key dimensions were identified: digital ethics and safety, digital engagement, digital resources, digital teaching and learning management, digital assessment, and empowering students. The TDCM was operationalized by creating the Teachers' Digital Competence Self-assessment Instrument (TDCSI), utilizing a self-perceived scale to measure teachers' digital competence. The selection of TDCSI questionnaire items was carried out using item analysis and exploratory factor analysis, followed by confirmatory factor analysis to construct a structural equation model and assess the reliability and validity of the instrument. The TDCSI comprises 24 items with a Cronbach's a of 0.937 and factor loadings ranging from 0.535 to 0.834, demonstrating a reasonable structure. This study provides valuable insights into digital competence, offering a practical instrument for measuring teachers' digital proficiency. The findings are poised to inform future research on digital competence, as well as support endeavors to enhance teacher training and professional development programs in the context of educational digital transformation.

The South African education system is considered one of the most unequal in the world. Providing learners with quality education and equipping them with the digital skills required for the Fourth Industrial Revolution is essential. To achieve this, plans are in place to incorporate educational technology in schools. However, it is important to understand the factors and conditions which have had the greatest impact on this process. This systematic review outlines 5 aspects that have been found to influence the use of educational technology in South African schools: access to technical resources; skills, training and competence; efficacy and efficiency beliefs; pedagogical compatibility; and a supportive leadership and management structure. Recommendations based on these findings are provided which can inform policy and practice.

Accountability pressures in education have risen steadily over the last two decades and public schools and districts now track school- and student-level data in response to state and federal mandates. Catholic schools and dioceses have not faced the same level of regulation over this period, and less is known about data access and use in the Catholic sector. This descriptive and exploratory research draws on survey and interview data from a national sample of Catholic school superintendents to examine data practices in diocesan central offices as well as barriers faced in the use of data. Findings suggest that although considerable variation exists among dioceses, common data efforts include working toward data centralization, developing tools to monitor the operational health of schools, and finding ways to foster the data culture within dioceses. These practices were present in close to half of all dioceses, but several common challenges related to governance, resources, and data systems hindered progress in and toward these efforts.

Research suggests participating in youth hands-on cooking programs, like those offered by Extension and 4-H, can improve nutrition behaviors and reduce the risk for obesity. We surveyed Georgia Extension professionals (n = 127) to explore factors (e.g., employee characteristics, resources, county demographics) related to offering youth hands-on cooking programs and curricula used. Over 2/3 of participants offer programs and reported creating their own curriculum. More years of experience, having received Extension Specialist training, and increased confidence were positively related to offering these programs. Results suggest training could increase confidence and program implementation and standard curricula may be needed/

The present study explored where and how college students sought assistance and information for themselves and their family or friends who may have needed behavioral health and substance abuse disorder assistance. Two hundred and fifty-nine college students responded to the questionnaire at one of the 50 largest public higher education institutions in the Southeastern United States. Findings confirm that help-seeking is a multifaceted process involving social and professional support. Participants indicated that they would seek assistance earlier than they had and also make personal changes in their lives to address well-being. These findings can guide higher education administrators, faculty members, counseling staff on campuses, funders, and policymakers in designing and developing accessible and user-friendly programs and services for increasing student success on campuses.

In this qualitative study, we investigated the social class worldviews of Chinese International Students (CIS) in the United States. Social class worldviews are a constellation of beliefs, attitudes, and values that individuals use to maintain a sense of psychological equilibrium within their perceived social class groups and culture. Having interviewed eleven CIS in a midwestern city in the United States, the researchers found that their experiences reflected five themes: (1) social class consciousness; (2) social class socialization; (3) social class resources; (4) social class values; and (5) social class challenges. Suggestions for research and implications for higher education are discussed
