Fluorescence imaging has been widely used in fields like (pre)clinical imaging and other domains. With advancements in imaging technology and new fluorescent labels, fluorescence lifetime imaging is gradually gaining recognition. Our research department is developing the tauCAMTM, based on the Current-Assisted Photonic Sampler, to achieve real-time fluorescence lifetime imaging in the NIR (700–900 nm) region. Incorporating fluorescence lifetime into endoscopy could further improve the differentiation of malignant and benign cells based on their distinct lifetimes. In this work, the capabilities of an endoscopic lifetime imaging system are demonstrated using a rigid endoscope involving various phantoms and an IRF-free deep learning-based method with only 6-time points. The results show that this application's fluorescence lifetime image has better lifetime uniformity and precision with 6-time points than the conventional methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Research capability among educators This study determined the research capability of the University of the Visayas college instructors, whose technical knowledge in conducting and publishing scholarly-made articles was assessed, which will enhance the existing research management plan. It identified the demographic profile, research exposure, and capability of the respondents. The works of the literature focused more on teachers' capability in different disciplines however, limited studies have been performed in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). This study answered this gap in the literature by assessing the research capability of college instructors and professors at the University of the Visayas-Main Campus. This study used a descriptive-correlational research design with 40 respondents chosen through a sampling technique. Simple Frequency Counts, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, and Pearson-r are statistical tools used in this study. The respondents are aware of how to uphold ethical considerations in conducting research (3.28). Most of the instructors are having problems with analyzing data using SPSS, Excel, Minitab, NVivo-QSR, and other software. All other indicators in the demographic profile are not significant to research capability. Research output completed (0.02), research output published internationally (0.03), and citations (0.03) established a significant relationship to research capability. With this, the university research department should make programs that can increase the motivation of instructors to complete their research, and have it published internationally with the chance for the article to be cited so that the level of research capability of the instructors will increase. Objective To explore the association between disulfidptosis related genes ( DRGs) and the prognosis of breast cancer patients and establish a risk prognosis model and verify it, and provide new biomarkers for the prognosis of breast cancer patients. Methods CNV landscape was drawnin R language. DRGs of co - correlations and differences were identified. The risk score prognostic model was constructed by using univariate Cox regression analysis and Lasso - Cox regression analysis. Kaplan - Meier survival curve, ROC curve and calibration curve for the model was drawn. A nomogram prognostic prediction model was constructed by combining the clinical features. Results A risk prognostic model of breast cancer patients composed of 8 DRGs was constructed, and AUC of the ROC curve at 1,3, and 5 years was 0. 809,0. 848,0. 883. DCA showed that the model could better predict breast cancer prognosis. Conclusion This research department has constructed a risk score model with 8 DRGs, which has a good prognostic value and can provide a new direction for the study of breast cancer prognosis. For a better understanding of the strong heterogeneities of the Mishrif Formation in the H Oilfield of southeast Iraq, the characterization of the carbonate architectures has become one of the key research departments of carbonate rocks. This study aims to reveal the architecture and controlling factors of the carbonate tidal channels in the MB1-2B sub-layer of the Mishrif Formation in response to the delineation of the tidal channels that have hydrocarbon potential. Three architectural elements and three architectural boundaries of the tidal channels were identified by interpreting the cores, well-logging, seismic, and analytical data. The results show that: (1) the architecture characteristics of tidal channels are mainly migrating type in the downstream zone, the side of concave bank of the tidal channels is usually filled with relatively coarse-grained grainstone; (2) the architecture characteristics of tidal channels are mainly swinging type in the upstream zone, showing the high porosity and permeability; (3) the architecture characteristics of tidal channels are mainly vertical-accretion type in the mid-regions, indicating the instantaneous current reversals and high geographical position. This analysis demonstrates that the best reservoir quality within the tidal channels is located in the bend of the tidal channel near the inner lagoon and open sea, it provides the geological models for later exploration and development in the Mishrif Formation. As non-profit directors, museum trustees owe the fiduciary duties of care and loyalty to their institutions. The museum community has established that provenance research is crucial to the ethical operation of museums; however, employing a full-time provenance researcher has not been considered as falling under the duty of care. This Note argues that the fiduciary duty of care for museum trustees should be interpreted to include the employment of a full-time provenance researcher or the establishment of a full-time provenance research department. First, employing a full-time provenance researcher can prevent potential lawsuits against museums because they have the proper skills, time, and resources to identify and reach out to potential claimants of valued artworks and objects. Second, a full-time provenance researcher can generate positive press by acting as a mediator between museums, the general public, and foreign governments. Finally, other major players in the art world, such as international multimilliondollar auction houses, have established the custom of hiring full-time provenance researchers. This article describes our efforts to screen and enrol clinical trial participants conscientiously in the COVID-19 pandemic setting. We present the standard screening and enrolment process prior to, and our process of adapting to, the pandemic. Our goal was to develop a way to screen and enrol people for clinical trials that was both equitable and effective. In addition, we outline the steps our research department took to ensure that ethical, clinical and logistical factors were considered when matching a patient to a clinical trial. This practice has significant implications for the prevalence and distribution of major single genetic defects and chromosomal abnormalities within the Saudi population. Methods: Herein, using the BESTCare electronic medical record system (designed to streamline hospital operations, enhance patient care, and improve the overall efficiency of healthcare services; bestcare.ezcaretech.com) in a single tertiary centre, King Abdullah Specialized Children Hospital (KASCH) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, we performed a cross-sectional study for all patients referred to the hospital from the 1st January 2020 until 1st January 2022. Results: The present study, which included 1100 individuals, found a high prevalence of consanguinity (64%) and a significant proportion of third-degree relatives (69%). The mean age of participants was 12.24 years, and the diagnostic rate using advanced molecular genetics techniques was 45%, with whole exome sequencing (WES) being the most common method (43%). The study also noted a significant delay in diagnosis for more than a year in 16% of cases, with a common neurodevelopmental phenotype (18%). Conclusion: In conclusion, we revealed the prevalence of consanguineous marriages in the KASCH hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We also highlighted the most frequently referred phenotype. This paper presents the risk management process undertaken by two research organizations in Bucharest, Romania: The National Institute of Research and Development in Mechatronics and Measurement Technique, and The National Institute for Research and Development in Electrical Engineering. Following a comprehensive analysis, ten main risks were identified within the research departments related to project management. To assess the identified risks, the risk index method was employed. To propose a new gene expression signature that identifies endometrial disruptions independent of endometrial luteal phase timing and predicts if patients are at risk of endometrial failure. Multicentric, prospective study. Reproductive medicine research department in a public hospital affiliated with private fertility clinics and a reproductive genetics laboratory. Caucasian women (n = 281; 39.4 ± 4.8 years old with a body mass index of 22.9 ± 3.5 kg/m2) undergoing hormone replacement therapy between July 2018 and July 2021. Endometrial samples from 217 patients met RNA quality criteria for signature discovery and analysis. Endometrial biopsies collected in the mid-secretory phase. Endometrial luteal phase timing-corrected expression of 404 genes and reproductive outcomes of the first single embryo transfer (SET) after biopsy collection to identify prognostic biomarkers of endometrial failure. Removal of endometrial timing variation from gene expression data allowed patients to be stratified into poor (n = 137) or good (n = 49) endometrial prognosis groups on the basis of their clinical and transcriptomic profiles. Significant differences were found between endometrial prognosis groups in terms of reproductive rates: pregnancy (44.6% vs. 79.6%), live birth (25.6% vs. 77.6%), clinical miscarriage (22.2% vs. 2.6%), and biochemical miscarriage (20.4% vs. 0%). The relative risk of endometrial failure for patients predicted as a poor endometrial prognosis was 3.3 times higher than those with a good prognosis. The differences in gene expression between both profiles were proposed as a biomarker, coined the endometrial failure risk (EFR) signature. Poor prognosis profiles were characterized by 59 upregulated and 63 downregulated genes mainly involved in regulation (17.0%), metabolism (8.4%), immune response, and inflammation (7.8%). This EFR signature had a median accuracy of 0.92 (min = 0.88, max = 0.94), median sensitivity of 0.96 (min = 0.91, max = 0.98), and median specificity of 0.84 (min = 0.77, max = 0.88), positioning itself as a promising biomarker for endometrial evaluation. The EFR signature revealed a novel endometrial disruption, independent of endometrial luteal phase timing, present in 73.7% of patients. This EFR signature stratified patients into 2 significantly distinct and clinically relevant prognosis profiles providing opportunities for personalized therapy. Nevertheless, further validations are needed before implementing this gene signature as an artificial intelligence (AI)-based tool to reduce the risk of patients experiencing endometrial failure. This study was conducted in scientific agricultural research center in Homs (Natural Research Department) during the last season 2020, in order to compare the effect of adding magnesium oxide (MgO) fertilizer, in nano and mineral form, in some productive traits of Zea mays.L (Var Gouta 82), where four levels of )% of the recommendation attached of the fertilizer bottle, which 150 ،100 ،50 ،magnesium oxide fertilizer (0 added in foliar way with the concentration (0, 1, 2 3)g/lit respectively for the studied levels, in tow form: Nano (N0, N1, N2, N3) and mineral (M0, M1, M2, M3) form, the treatments were replicated in three replications, the results that were reached gave the following: a clear significant increase in the productive properties (length of corncob, number of rows in corncob, weight of grains in corncob, weight of the corncob in plant) at the treatment 2g/lit (100%) with clear significant when spraying nano magnesium oxide over than mineral form by (33.95, 15.91, 56.60, 93.82)% compared with the blank respectively for the studied indicators, also the results showed the responding of the pope corn plant (Var Gouta 82) in productivity (ton/ha) when spraying foliar nano fertilizer magnesium oxide (MgO) over than mineral by percent (30.4)%. The study was conducted to investigate honeybee preferences for various micronutrients and their concentrations. throughout the summer of 2021 at the Plant Protection Research Institute, ARC, Giza, Egypt, specifically at the apiary of the Bee Research Department. Forager bees showed strong avoidance responses only to high mineral concentrations (2, 1, 0.5%, and 0.25%) for sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium chloride. On the other hand, Foragers bees recorded a high visitation number in low concentrations (0.1, 0.05, 0.025 %, and 0.0125%) for 4 minerals and tap water. The honeybee prefers dilute sodium chloride and its low concentrations (0.0125%), which recorded a higher visitation number among all mineral concentrations under the study. In contrast, the bees exhibited no discernible preferences for the calcium chloride solutions with a low visitation number of 0.1 and 0.05% compared with tap water. The visitation numbers are similar in magnesium and potassium at 0.05, 0.025, and 0.0125% but higher than tap water. The solution was consumed at a concentration of 0.0125 after 139 minutes, a concentration of 0.025 after 142.5 min., and a concentration of 0.05 after a time had passed 157.5 min. The preference factor for NaCl solution was recorded at a concentration of (0.0125) Thus, the bees' preference for this concentration is higher than their preference for tap water. The lowest preference factor (0.4) was recorded with a CaCl2 solution with a concentration of (0.1). low consumption ratios were recorded for 0.0125% potassium chloride (indicating a preference for the test solution), and higher consumption ratios were reported for 0.1% calcium chloride (indicating avoidance of the test solution). Classic feature of any research analytics system is to be able to provide a metric based on the given research data given like the citation count and other kinds of data it is important to analyze the given data and give feedback and understand performance of a given research department, Scholar or the research, So we used a novel approach to rate given person based on the research work and comparing it with different works published in the same area, it is to be noted that the score/rating only focuses on the domain rather than rating the whole scholars work this way we can estimate the scholar's performance with respect to one domain which several other types of ratings fail to do so. This method will act advantageously especially in research organizations where appraisals and giving research grants are usually done based on scholar's previous work in a specific domain. We were able to formulate results for 62 different authors from 8 different domains, these domains and authors were picked randomly so as to efficiently understand the working of the methodology we followed four essential steps in this approach namely gathering dataset, applying Glicko-2 ranking algorithm, finding average rating value for all works finally calculating d-impact score using GPA method on the scale of 9. We can conclude that the result is a both domain-specific and more accurate representation of the author's impact. This paper presents a proof-of-concept Augmented Reality (AR) system known as "SMARTLab" for safety training in hazardous material science laboratories. The paper contains an overview of the design rationale, development, methodology, and user study. Participants of the user study were domain experts (i.e., actual lab users in a material science research department, n = 13), and the evaluation used a questionnaire and free-form interview responses. The participants undertook a virtual lab experiment, designed in collaboration with a domain expert. While using the AR environment, they were accompanied by a virtual assistant. The user study provides preliminary findings about the impact of multiple dimensions, such as Performance Expectancy, Emotional Reactivity, and Spatial Presence, on SMARTLab acceptance by analyzing their influence on the Behavioral Intention dimension. The findings indicate that users find the approach useful and that they would consider using such a system. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of the SMARTLab assessment data suggests that a) AR-based training is a potential solution for laboratory safety training without the risk of real-world hazards, b) realism remains an important property for some aspects such as fluid dynamics and experimental procedure, and c) use of a virtual assistant is welcome and provides no sense of discomfort or unease. Furthermore, the study recommends the use of AR assistance tools (a virtual assistant, an attention funnel, and an in-situ arrow) to improve usability and make the training experience more user-friendly. Background: Graduation rates show that only 16.4% of students with disabilities (SWD) are likely to complete a bachelor's degree compared to 34% of students without disabilities (SWOD; U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2015). Methods: A disproportionate impact method was used to identify equity gaps among SWDs and SWODs enrolled in a post-secondary academic institution (dataset were grades collected by the University's Institutional Research Department as a part of Equity Gap Report). This process included identifying the outcome (i.e., final grade) and comparing the percentage earning an A, B, or C (70% or higher in the course) for SWDs with and SWODs. Findings: Students enrolled with the Disability Support Services (DSS) experienced equity gaps in several general education courses in comparison to students not enrolled. In some, chemistry, algebra, and introduction to psychology courses demonstrated the greatest equity gaps for students enrolled in DSS. Smaller equity gaps appeared in foundational biology and communication courses. Conclusions: Despite efforts to include SWDs in general education classrooms, the present study reveals that large gaps remain and contribute to inequitable outcomes for this population. The large achievement gap between students with and their peers without disabilities is an indication that these students still have limited access to the instruction that they need to succeed in school. It is likely that the persistence of the gap reflects a need for students with disabilities be accorded access to individualized instruction especially in the science related subjects. Background: Limited knowledge exists on current use of patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) and performance measures for adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis (AIS), as well as health care professionals' (HCPs) perceived barriers and facilitators towards their use. This study's objectives were: 1) to explore current practice of HCPs when assessing outcomes for AIS 2) to understand perceived barriers and facilitators of HCPs to use PROMs 3) to understand perceived barriers and facilitators of HCPs to use performance measures. Methods: A qualitative study recruited a purposive sample of HCPs from a tertiary hospital in the United Kingdom. Mean years of experience managing individuals with AIS was 11.8 years; and included surgeons, physiotherapists and nurses, educated at Bachelor, Masters and Doctoral level. Consent to participate and demographic information were collected in advance of the interviews. In-depth, virtual semi-structured interviews were informed by a topic guide based on current evidence. Interviews of approximately 45 minutes were audio and video recorded and transcribed verbatim alongside written field notes. Data were coded and analysed using inductive thematic analysis, involving researchers with topic and methodological expertise and input from a patient representative. Results: Two themes emerged regarding current practice of using PROMs routine practice and personal evaluations. Four themes emerged as barriers to using PROMs for individuals with AIS: priority and support (e.g., HCPs focus on providing care), practical challenges (e.g., inadequate PROMs), patient-related challenges (e.g., patient preferences) and knowledge, education, and perceived value. Two themes emerged as facilitators: quality existing measure (e.g., sufficient psychometric properties), and priority and support (e.g., research department/culture). Themes for barriers to use performance measures were practicality (e.g., need physical space) and perceived value and knowledge (e.g., PROMs are more important), while the one theme for facilitators was practical consideration (e.g., acceptability). Conclusions: Although HCPs perceived the value of using outcome measures, current practice indicates limited use for individuals with AIS. The findings revealed different barriers and facilitators to implement PROMs in practice. Adopting performance measure are limited due to lack of knowledge and perceived value alongside the practicality, while considering practical factors can improve the use of these measures in practice. This study aimed to evaluate the fluctuation of infestation with Varroa mites on honeybee colonies. Research was carried out at the apiary of beekeeping research department at Dokki, Giza, Governorate, from March to December 2019 and January to February 2020. Infestation percentages reached 18.39, 16.73. 17.86 and 19.73 in broods and reached 12.53, 10.8, 13.0 and 14.27 in the same seasons on adult bees, respectively. Mean number of units covered with bees reached 8.0, 8.83, 7.17 and 4.66 per colony during spring, summer, autumn and winter, respectively. Adult females of Apis mellifera infected in Egypt were collected and examined by SEM. Objectives: Modified cortical bone trajectory (MCBT) technique was proposed by our team in previous studies, but its biomechanical properties at adjacent segments have not been discussed yet. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the biomechanical properties of modified cortical bone trajectory (MCBT) technique on adjacent segment degeneration (ASD) in transforaminal intradiscal lumbar disc fusion (TLIF) compare to traditional bone trajectory (TT) technique and cortical bone trajectory (CBT) technique. Methods: The four human cadaveric lumbar specimens were provided by the anatomy teaching and research department of Xinjiang Medical University and four intact finite element models of the L1-S1 segment were generated. For each of these, three transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion procedures with three different fixation techniques were reconstructed at the L4-L5 segment, as follows: TT-TT (TT at both L4 and L5 segments), CBT-CBT (CBT at both L4 and L5 segments), MCBT-MCBT (MCBT at both L4 and L5 segments). The range of motion and von Mises stress of the intervertebral disc of the L3-L4 and L5-S1 segments were recorded with a 400N compressive load and 7.5 Nm moments in flexion, extension, left–right bending, and left–right rotation. Results: The peak ROM of the L3-L4 segment in the MCBT-MCBT group was reduced by 10.5%, 6.1%, 12.2%, 4.1%, and 1.5% in flexion, extension, left–right bending, and left rotation compared to the TT-TT group and reduced by 1.8%, 5.5%, 10.0%, 12.8%, and 8.8% in flexion, left–right bending, and left–right rotation compared to the CBT-CBT group, respectively. The MCBT-MCBT group has the lowest peak ROM of the L3-L4 segment in flexion, left bending, and right rotation, the lowest peak ROM of the L5-S1 segment in extension and right rotation, and the lowest peak von Mises stress of the intervertebral disc at the L5-S1 segment in right rotation compared to the TT-TT and CBT-CBT group. In addition, the peak von Mises stress at the L3-L4 segment was lowest and more dispersed in all motions, the MCBT-MCBT group exhibited lower peak ROM of the L5-S1 segment in flexion, extension, and right rotation, and showed lower peak von Mises stress of the disc at the L5-S1 segment in flexion, extension, and right rotation compared with the TT-TT group. Conclusion: The modified cortical bone trajectory technique may have a beneficial effect on reducing the incidence of ASD in the L4-L5 TLIF model compared to the traditional bone trajectory technique and cortical bone trajectory technique. Scientific aim: With limited academic research on AI in banking, this study aims to shed light on its applications, challenges, and implications. Findings: The integration of AI in the banking sector has significantly transformed various operational areas, including customer interactions, risk management, compliance, and operational efficiency. AI applications, such as chatbots and smart virtual assistants, have enhanced customer service by offering personalized, 24/7 support, and have demonstrated significant cost and revenue benefits. AI-driven credit scoring and fraud detection have improved risk assessment and mitigation, enabling more precise and informed decision-making. However, AI adoption faces challenges such as high computational costs, data quality issues, the "curse of recursion" where models trained on AI-generated data degrade, and the need to balance trust in AI outputs with their reliability. Additionally, ethical concerns arise regarding the fairness, bias, and transparency of the data used to train these AI systems, which can impact their reliability and trustworthiness. Furthermore, regulatory considerations play a crucial role in AI integration. While the European Union's AI Act aims to ensure the ethical use of AI in finance, it also presents challenges related to compliance and potential over-regulation. Conclusions: In conclusion, the integration of AI in the banking sector has revolutionized customer service, risk management, compliance, and operational efficiency. However, the adoption of AI also raises concerns about data privacy, security, and the need for regulatory frameworks to ensure ethical use. To improve good project outcomes, increasing attention has been paid for many years to building a successful partnership between client and provider in delivering outsourcing services. However, studies on the consideration of service provider selection in aeronautics considering its specific constraints are lacking. More generally, among the various selection criteria for suitable providers, risk mitigation criteria are among the most important driving forces, but they are also less studied. This paper proposes a new methodology with a framework using qualitative process modelling and logical representation methods to provide suitable elements for managing the quality of service providers in the aeronautics context. The approach uses the analysed information and the capitalised knowledge of practical experience to deploy the procedures helpful in carrying out all necessary actions for continuous improvement. The application context concerns the provider control in the quality department of a leading provider of significant aeronautical manufacturers. The applied methodology enables a summary of the services undertaken by the research department of risk management, integrating both the characteristics of the solicited engineering companies and the target service. As a result, we established performance indicators for a concrete vision of the benefits an engineering company provides while respecting the constraints imposed by aeronautical standards. This study provides a methodology that can be of direct interest to several actors in the aeronautical field (e.g. quality departments, research departments, purchasing departments, project managers, quality managers, and buyers of engineering services) for building or improving their processes for risk mitigation in the selection of services providers. More generally, similar entities can rely on the proposed approach in other fields characterised by complex supply chains (e.g. automotive manufacturing, healthcare manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, and technology manufacturing).
