Abstract

This article discusses the development of a Land Rover vehicle in the late 1950s to compete with the Dodge Power Wagon. Lieutenant-Colonel Jack Pogmore was hired to expand the Land Rover product range and develop a medium truck. Several prototypes were built between 1959 and 1963, but the project eventually fizzled out due to issues with the gearboxes, steering, and production costs. Two prototypes have survived and are owned by the Dunsfold Collection. [Extracted from the article]
