Authors study a dangerous phenomenon in the ecosystem of digital education - the digital addiction of university students. Purpose of article is to use the structural equation modeling (SEM) to identify relationship between digital learning and digital addiction. Measurement of digital addiction was carried out by the method of screening diagnostics of computer addiction (L.N. Yuryeva, T.Yu. Bolbot). Method of confirmatory factor analysis carried we out validation of the method and showed that a one-factor model is acceptable: CMIN = 52,479; df = 44; CFI = 0.933; RMSEA = 0.063. A structural model of interaction of digital learning and digital addiction is proposed. An exploratory and confirmatory analysis of structural model proposed by authors for the interaction of digital learning and digital addiction has shown that there is no positive relationship between digitalization of education and development of digital addiction of students. Currently, the research on the behavior of radioactive particles in the natural environment is actual direction of radioecology. The regularities of transport and the formation of absorbed doses of β-radiation of "hot" radioactive particles that cause ulcerative necrotic lesions of the digestive tract of rats, playing the role of reference organisms in assessing the radiation risk of environmental pollution by radionuclides for biota and humans, are presented. A compartmental model of particle transport in the gastrointestinal tract of rats was developed and its biokinetic parameters were obtained. Assessment of internal radiation doses was performed on the basis of measured activity in the stomach, small intestine and large intestine of the rats and of absorbed fractions of internal exposure to electrons and photons calculated with the MCNP5 (A General Monte Carlo N-Particle Transport Code, Version 5) using a mathematical rat phantom. Depending on the values of the received activity and absorbed doses of β-irradiation of the mucous membrane, 4 degrees of radiation ulcerative gastroenterocolitis were identified, differing in the depth of radiation damage to the gastrointestinal tract, the development and outcome of radiation damage to the animal body. The technology of creating an ultrathin medical coating for biliary stents based on polyvinylpyrrolidone with the addition of doxorubicin and carbon nanotubes with unique sorption properties is proposed. Plant disease detection by using different machine learning techniques is very popular field of study. Many promising results were already obtained but it is still only few real life applications that can make farmer's life easier. Polymer composites films based on cerium oxide nanoparticles were obtained. Xanthan gum polysaccharide was used as a matrix. The properties of the films were evaluated using optical microscopy and optical spectrophotometry. Optical microscopy shows homogenous dispersion of nanoparticles with increasing size and some agglomeration. The UV- visible spectrum of the polymer composites exhibit a red shift in the optical band gap with respect to pure xanthan and blue shift with respect to CeO2 nanoparticles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study is based on a comparison of the motivation of higher education and choice of future profession among students of the Ural Federal University and the North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power. The study of cardiac function is important issue in physiological and biological sciences and has relevant implications for clinical practice. The interpretation of the whole-heart experiments is complicated by multi-cellular interactions. This work is devoted to the development of biomechanical tests for studying force-length and passive viscoelastic properties of intact single cardiac muscle cells using a glue-free carbon fiber technique. The developed tests allow analyzing the passive force-length, total force-length and active force-length relations in a beating cardiomyocyte by applying the step stretch protocol. The protocols also can be used to investigate in detail the viscoelastic hysteresis applying sawtooth stretch and release commands on a resting cell. The tracking of viscoelastic hysteresis allows one to study not only changes in the passive tension amplitude, but also the delay between the micromanipulator movement and the cell response or energy dissipation specifying viscoelastic properties. Radiation is one of the factors that constantly affects living organisms. The effect of natural radiation background is supplemented by radiation from artificial radioactive sources, the most common of them are medical devices used as diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. The use of radiation therapy is based on different radiosensitivity of normal and pathologically altered organs, tissues and cells of humans and animals. The search and application of substances that change the sensitivity of living organisms to ionizing radiation to reduce the damaging effect on healthy tissues, while maintaining a positive therapeutic effect, is an urgent issue of modern medical radiobiology. Currently, nanoparticles are widely used as such substances. This paper investigates the effect of mesoporous CeO2 nanopowder on the radiosensitivity of rat alveolar and peritoneal macrophages, dermal fibroblasts, and human cervical carcinoma cells. CeO2 nanoparticles were found to have selective radiomodifying properties in relation to various types of cells. CeO2 nanoparticles had a radioprotective effect on human fibroblasts, increasing their viability after irradiation and speeding up the differentiation of fibroblasts. The nanoparticles acted as radiosensitizers on tumor cells and macrophages, enhancing the damaging effect of ionizing radiation, but the mechanism for increasing sensitivity may be different in each case. The unique enzyme-like properties of cerium dioxide nanoparticles require further investigation of the mechanisms of their action on living systems. Fucoidan is a polyvalent biomodulator with a wide range of biological activity: immunomodulatory, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antitumor properties. Our research involves the extraction of fucoidan from brown algae by homogenizing the raw material and extracting the polysaccharide from it with a weak solution of hydrochloric acid, cleaning it from polyphenolic impurities and using it in the production of yogurt. Yogurt samples enriched with fucoidan were compared with a sample of whole yogurt without the addition of a polysaccharide, their rheological, textural, color, sensory, as well as microbiological characteristics were evaluated. It is shown that the addition of fucoidan in different concentrations improves the organoleptic properties of the product and shortens the incubation period when yogurt is obtained. Today, around the world, we can see how transplant capabilities have potentially grown. Organ transplants can not only extend the life of patients but also significantly improve their quality of life. Until now, cornea, liver, kidneys, lungs, heart, spleen, thyroid gland, parathyroid gland, and pancreas have already been transplanted to people. However, there is a serious problem of the shortage of donors. Hence, it is necessary to develop novel methods for creating artificial organs. These methods help us to look for the possible ways of developing the best implants. Three-dimensional bioprinting is an additive bioproduction technology that can accelerate translational research. This may allow the production of artificial tissues and organs that completely replace the damaged organ. In addition, this area of research is diversified thanks to the constant modernization of 30 bioprinters and biomaterials, which play an important role in creating the architecture and functionality of bioprinting design. In this paper we report and analyze development of noncontact trapping of micron-sized particles using optical traps shaped with three-dimensionally structured coherent beam. Trapping fields are generated by interference of laser beams with controllable parameters, including tilt angle, beam waist, polarization state and a number of superposed beams. Visualization and tracking the position of trapped micro-objects in three-dimensional space is realized using axial lensless digital holographic microscopy with real-time computer processing of interferograms. This work explores the impact of health loss risk factors on the state of the cardiovascular system of industrial workers. The registration of intervalograms according to Baevsky R.M. and questionnaire were used as research methods. Studied parameters of heart rate variability in groups depending on the length of experience in harmful working conditions. The obtained data were subjected to statistical analysis. During the last 40 years a lot of mathematical models were developed for simulation of cardiomyocytes electrophysiology. In this work we propose an algorithm for meta-analysis of these models. Using pairwise comparison, our approach searches for outliers in model predictions that can be obtained in one model, but not in the other. Here, we analyzed four models of the atrial cardiomyocytes with the proposed approach. Our results show significant differences in the ability of models to simulate the delayed afterdepolarization, early afterdepolarization, sustained triggered activity, and the failure of activation. The proposed approach may be useful for the comparison of two models and for obtaining additional rejection criteria for studies with the model populations. The multiscale structural organization of the heart is critical for the myocardial function. The intensive development of the new techniques to investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the whole heart organization and function makes fluorescent methods a leading research tool in this field. This work is devoted to the study of the contractile function of the myocardium at the single cell and contractile protein levels in normal and pathological conditions. The experimental model of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2) was used as an example of the disease condition. We found that DM2 affects the amplitude and time course of contraction and intracellular calcium transient in single left ventricular cardiomyocytes. At the molecular level, these changes were associated with the changes in the interaction of contractile proteins. Fluorescent studies on isolated cardiomyocytes and contractile proteins are important for the assessment of cellular and molecular mechanisms of the cardiac response to pathological interventions. Polymers like plastics and rubbers are widely used all over the world in different spheres of life due to their attractive properties such as; low density, ability to resist corrosion, and excellent resistant to electricity conduction. Particulate matter inhalation (PM) in second hand smoke is harmful to smokers and non-smokers. Various additions to cigarettes may affect the amount from PM. Exposure to PM is not only caused lung cancer but also increased risk of stroke breast cancer mortality. Although the main risks may be transferred to the distal lung by particulate matter, A few studies have been interested in studying PM. The present study aims to characterize PM emissions from three different types of cigarettes (Electronic cigarettes, tobacco cigarettes and IQOS cigarettes system). The experiments were carried out in a 65 m3 lab room with burning the three types of cigarettes separately. PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations were measured simultaneously with aerosol diffusion spectrometer (ADS)1. The Electronic cigarettes achieved the highest values of particulate matter with 193, 1*103 and 2*103 (µg/m3) for PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 respectively. The value of surface area ranged from 3460 for IQOS cigarettes to 7482 for Electronic cigarettes. IQOS cigarettes got less particulate matter concentrations in different sizes. Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a widespread heart disease which prevalence increases essentially in the elderly. In this study, we combined age-related changes in cardiomyocytes electrophysiology with the effects of chronic atrial fibrillation on the population of human atrial cell models. Our age-dependent populations of models are able to reproduce experimentally observed effects of aging on action potential (AP) and calcium transient (CaT) morphology. Simulation of AF remodeling in aging models allowed us to reproduce specific shortening of AP duration on a 90% level, an increase in AP plateau, and a reduction in CaT amplitude. Mathematical modeling of radiation-induced adaptation by changing the DCF (dose change factor) from the time interval was carried out. The selected function describes the experimental data with an approximate valueof R2 = 0.95. The model was tested on a yeast culture of a strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The yeast culture was contained in a nutrient medium of the composition: 4% sugar, 96% distilled water, cell counting was carried out using a Goryaev's chamber. The work conducted a search for the relationship between the parameters of heart rate variability and athletic performance. It is shown that among 64 parameters for different groups of athletes, one can distinguish those parameters that statistically significantly change during the training process. A distributed reaction-diffusion model with oscillations is considered. It is shown that diffusion flow can suppress self-oscillatory mode and cause stable stationary pattern formation. Different scenarios are studied in order to analyze the multistable behavior in the parametric zone of the oscillations. Cerium oxide nanoparticles have recently attracted great attention as one of the promising nanomaterials for use in the pharmaceutical industry. However, to assess the potential toxicity of these nanoparticles, information about their biodistribution in the body is necessary. A physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling is a convenient tool for providing such data. So, this study is devoted to modeling the pharmacokinetics of intravenously injected CeO2 nanoparticles in the body. The designed PBPK model adequately described time courses of CeO2 nanoparticles in various tissues of rats. Simulation results allow to analyze absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of nanoparticles in the body, and provide important information to evaluate their toxicity to biological organisms. The paper presents a research of the interaction of lactic and formic acids with a carbon nanotube and a hydroxyapatite molecule, shows the possibility of using CNTs as a protection of tooth enamel from exposure to aggressive acids and describes the results of the established geometric and electron-energy characteristics of the processes of the interaction of hydroxyapatite with acids. The development of 3D printing technology stimulates an active search for new methods of its application. Creating phantoms using a 3D printer is one of the promising areas. This will allow for more accurate and individual dosimetric monitoring during radiation therapy. The main objective of this study is to investigate the tissue equivalence by the mass attenuation coefficient of PLA plastic used in 3D printing. The mass attenuation coefficient was determined based on chemical composition by calculation in the XCom database, which is presented and maintained by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Comparison of mass attenuation coefficients was carried out with 4 human tissues (liver, skin, kidney and breast). The x-ray attenuation properties of selected human tissues were analyzed using the values listed in the International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurements - ICRU, report 44. The average plastic / tissue ratio was calculated for the selected energy range (10-150 keV). PETG is the best material to simulate selected organs according to the results. This study shows that existing materials used in 3D printing can be used to create individual phantoms. The main advantage over commercial tissue-equivalent materials is their low cost. Many scientific works rely on analysis of images of microbiological objects. it can be object count, object classification, shape and color analysis etc. Such analysis al- ways is time consuming and there is also a window for errors. Threrefore this process was from its beggining a target for numerous attempts of automation. Most successfull tries are based on different segmentation methods. All mentioned approaches are using deterministic calculations. Aim of this work is to bring another kind of image segmentation to this task - neural networks. To successfully implement to image segmentation a set of examples is required. Size of such set should be at least no less than several hundreds of images. So for this purpose photographs of irradiated yeast were chosen mainly because it is easy to segment them manually with enough accuracy. A secondary task was to make an attempt to distinguish life cell from the dead ones together with segmentation. All calculation are done using Google Colaboratory as a computational background. The main problem of radiation therapy is damage to normal tissues. One of the ways to solve this problem is radiomodification using metal oxide nanoparticles. Evaluation of the effectiveness of radiomodification can be done using the dose change factor (DCF). In this paper DCF for cerium, gold and hafnium oxide nanoparticles used with monochromatic photon beams (0-300 keV) in concentration 5 mg/ml was calculated. Brain tumor images segmentation plays a crucial role in the auxiliary diagnosis of disease, treatment planning and surgical navigation. In order to accurately segment brain tumor images, this paper proposes an automatic brain tumor Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) image segmentation algorithm based on the U-net model. The neuron network based approached was closely analyzed in comparison with standard segmentation techniques (detection by threshold, K-means clustering, histogram-based approach and edge detection). The algorithm is validated and evaluated on the Jun Cheng dataset. A nonlinear 3D biochemical system for the enzymatic reaction of a substrate and two products is considered. The system represented bistability regimes with coexisting equilibrium and limit cycle, as well as birhythmicity with two coexisting cycles. An effect of substrate input rate stochastic fluctuations on these diverse regimes was investigated. The model demonstrated stochastic generation of complex mixed-mode spiking oscillatory regimes and transitions between initial deterministic attractors. The concept of chimeras is part of antique mythologies where they portray a human body hybrid with different parts of other animals, considering it as a fabulous creature. Scientist describe chimera as an organism that has more than one set of parents and consists of cells from two zygotes. They can be classified as intraspecies or interspecies, depending on whether cell derivatives from the two zygotes are from the same or different species. Interspecies chimeras can be a helpful way to overcome the severe organ shortage in the medicine field. There exist different technologies helping chimeras research such as microinjection, aggregation, coculturing and blastocyst complementation. Pseudo electrocardiogram (pseudo-ECG) is a virtual ECG signal that is computed using 1D mathematical models of the myocardium. This signal has the QRS-complex and T wave similar to that of real ECG. In this paper, we used pseudo-ECG as a tool to develop an algorithm for the estimation of electrophysiological properties of the myocardium or single cardiomyocytes based on electrogram recordings. Here, we analyzed the relationship between pseudo-ECG produced by a 1D myocardial model and characteristics of the cellular action potential and parameters of an ionic cardiomyocyte model. Agriculture entails the cultivation of plants and animals for food, biofuel, and different products for human well-being. Principally, plant protection, interference, and wipe-out against disease strategies use pesticides, majority synthesized from chemicals. The effects of utilizing chemical pesticides resulted in the evolution of pesticide-resistant pests, decreased soil diversity and increased pollution. The effect led to the development of an effective eco-friendly method required to provide plants with protection against plant pathogens and better biological management, commonly referred to as biological pesticides (biopesticides). Cerium dioxide nanoparticles can be used as a photodegradable agent due to the possibility of the Ce3+ – Ce4+ transition. Activity of cerium dioxide nanoparticles can depend on many factors, such as the size and shape, their non- stoichiometry, which depend on the method of preparation and post-processing. The aim of this work was to evaluate the photocatalytic activity of cerium dioxide nanoparticles. To change the degree of stoichiometry, cerium dioxide nanoparticles were annealed at 600 °C. The changes of the sentence length in the inaugural speeches of US presidents from 1789 to 2017 are studied. The decrease in the sentence length with time from 45 to 14 words was detected. The paper describes the application of the rapid serial visual presentation (SRVP) method to study the dynamics of recognition time of visual stimuli by an untrained observer. The method is implemented on the basis of a specially developed program presenting stimulus material on a computer screen according to a given algorithm. Raster monochrome images of two letters of the Russian alphabet, depicted in two significantly different styles, acted as stimulus material. Presentation was carried out in a specialized viewing camera. When evaluating the results of the experiment, ruggedness was taken into account as a quantitative measure of the lettering. In the experiment, an increase in the recognition time of all types of stimuli with an increase in the number of presentations was found. Using the program greatly facilitated the experiment. In this paper, we consider a system of two coupled populations modeled by the Ricker map. Isolated subsystems can be in various stable states: equilibrium, periodic, and chaotic. If maps are coupled, the behavior of the system can change significantly, for example, the equilibrium is transformed into a periodic regime, and the chaotic regime changes to order and vice versa. In this study, a parametric analysis of possible scenarios of changing corporate dynamics and their connection with bifurcations of various types is carried out. Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) is an effective method of treating severe forms of congestive heart failure (CHF). Despite careful selection of patients for CRT, about 30% - 40% of patients have no sufficient effect of CRT. We present preliminary results on using a clustering algorithm based on echocardiography data in CHF patients before and after CRT to define distinct phenotypes in the population. We used the Fourier series for analysis of the dynamic changes in the left ventricular shape during cardiac cycle, a nonlinear dimensionality reduction method, and clusterization. Two phenotypes in the CHF patients, which exhibited differences in complexity of LV contraction pattern were found. A small population of patients did not allow us to distinguish sub-populations in terms of their response to CRT. The results suggest additional imaging data providing more information on the structural abnormalities in myocardium and detailed clinical data obtained in patients should be accounted for better patient stratification and prediction of their response to CRT. In this paper the problem of information security in the network is considered. Organizational and technical measures to protect information should ensure the effective and timely detection and blocking of threats to information security, the implementation of which may lead to unacceptable negative consequences. The most common threat is network traffic, the movement of data flows between different web resources. The methods of detecting unauthorized traffic to select the best were analyzed. A mathematical model for detecting unauthorized traffic and detection software have been developed.The results of experimental studies of the developed software were presented, which showed the possibility of its use for detecting unauthorized traffic. This article deals with effect of signals with phase and quadrature amplitude modulation on the reception of signals with quadrature amplitude modulation. Numerical simulation of the bit error rate and symbol error rate is performed using the MATLAB/Simulink software environment. Based on the results of calculations, it was found that the impact of signals with QPSK modulation causes more bit errors than the impact of signals with 16-QAM modulation. The presence of a frequency shift between the information and interference signal increases the bit error rate, which is associated with the rotation of the signal constellation. Increasing the probability of bit errors with frequency shift increasing occurs up to the limit frequency, depending on the length of the considered bit sequence. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The use of FPGA for the tasks of digital signal processing allows you to get devices that can change configuration, adapt to a specific task due to their flexible, programmable structure. When developing complex devices, ready-made blocks – IP- cores (intellectual property cores) can be used as components for design. The use of software IP-cores allows you to most effectively use them in the final structure, to significantly reduce the cost of design. Our ongoing research is dedicated to the development of a method of computer-aided hyper-hyponymic verbal pairs extraction from dictionary definitions. Syntactic signals provide important information for the task. The main advantage of syntax-based method is that it allows one to distinguish hypernyms from synonyms, which is very difficult for distributional methods such as word embeddings as long as hypernyms and synonyms both tend to occur in similar contexts. This paper focuses on extrinsic evaluation of all three UDPipe pre-trained models for the Russian language.
