International audience; The Advanced GAmma Tracking Array (AGATA) has been installed at Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro (LNL), Italy. In this installation, AGATA will consist, at the beginning, of 13 AGATA triple clusters (ATCs) with an angular coverage of 1π, and progressively the number of ATCs will increase up to a 2π angular coverage. This setup will exploit both stable and radioactive ion beams delivered by the Tandem–PIAVE-ALPI accelerator complex and the SPES facility. The new implementation of AGATA at LNL will be used in two different configurations, firstly one coupled to the PRISMA large-acceptance magnetic spectrometer and lately a second one at Zero Degrees, along the beam line. These two configurations will allow us to cover a broad physics program, using different reaction mechanisms, such as Coulomb excitation, fusion-evaporation, transfer and fission at energies close to the Coulomb barrier. These setups have been designed to be coupled with a large variety of complementary detectors such as charged particle detectors, neutron detectors, heavy-ion detectors, high-energy γ-ray arrays, cryogenic and gasjet targets and the plunger device for lifetime measurements. We present in this paper the conceptual design, characteristics and performance figures of this implementation of AGATA at LNL.

Messages principaux Le rendement diagnostique de ce geste est le plus souvent excellent mais ce geste n’est pas anodin et peut avoir des complications graves pouvant aller jusqu’au deces. Les complications hemorragiques sont les plus redoutees, favorisees par les anomalies de la crase sanguine induites ou non par un traitement medicamenteux. Conclusion Le respect des contre-indications ainsi que la bonne gestion des traitements permettent de diminuer le risque de complications.

International audience; The multi-nucleon transfer reaction between 136Xe beam and 198Pt target at the beam energy 7 MeV/u was studied using the large acceptance spectrometer VAMOS++ coupled with the newly installed second arm time-of-flight and delayed γ-ray spectrometer CATLIFE (Complementary Arm for Target LIke FragmEnts). The CATLIFE detector is composed of a large area multi-wire proportional chamber and the EXOGAM HPGe clover detectors with an ion flight length of 1230 mm. Direct measurement of the target-like fragments (TLF) and the delayed γ-rays from the isomeric state helps to improve TLF identification. The use of the velocity of TLFs and the delayed γ-ray demonstrate the proof of principle and effectiveness of the new setup.

Resume Introduction La radiologie interventionnelle propose des actes diagnostiques ou therapeutiques moins invasifs que la chirurgie ou inaccessibles a celle-ci, mais n’est cependant pas sans risque. La prise en charge des patients doit considerer deux risques antagonistes qui doivent etre mis en balance : le risque hemorragique et le risque thromboembolique. Depuis plusieurs annees, il existe une constante augmentation de la prevalence des patients sous traitement anticoagulants/antiagregants. Il faut donc determiner les situations ou l’augmentation du risque hemorragique n’est pas acceptable et doit conduire a des modifications peri-procedurales. Objectif L’objectif principal de cette mise au point est de formaliser la gestion peri-actes de radiologie interventionnelle de ces traitements en classant les actes en fonction de leur risque hemorragique, sous la forme de trois categories. Pour chaque niveau de risque ont ete definis les tests biologiques a realiser avant l’acte, avec leurs valeurs seuils minimales. Conclusion Les tests biologiques doivent constituer une aide pour le radiologue et ne constituent pas une verite intangible.

PLATO (PLAnetary Transits and Oscillations of stars) is an ESA M-class satellite planned for launch by end 2026 and dedicated to the wide-field search of transiting planets around bright and nearby stars, with a strong focus on discovering habitable rocky planets hosted by solar-like stars. The choice of the fields to be pointed at is a crucial task since it has a direct impact on the scientific return of the mission. In this paper we describe and discuss the formal requirements and the key scientific prioritization criteria that have to be taken into account in the Long-duration Observation Phase (LOP) field selection, and apply a quantitative metric to guide us in this complex optimization process. We identify two provisional LOP fields, one for each hemisphere (LOPS1, LOPN1), and discuss their properties and stellar content. 6 pags., 8 figs., 1 tab., Excited states in the neutron-deficient nucleus Tc87 have been studied via the fusion-evaporation reaction Fe54(Ar36,2n1p)Tc87 at 115 MeV beam energy. The AGATA γ-ray spectrometer coupled to the DIAMANT, NEDA, and Neutron Wall detector arrays for light-particle detection was used to measure the prompt coincidence of γ rays and light particles. Six transitions from the deexcitation of excited states belonging to a new band in Tc87 were identified by comparing γ-ray intensities in the spectra gated under different reaction channel selection conditions. The constructed level structure was compared with the shell model and total Routhian surface calculations. Fission at low excitation energy is an ideal playground to probe the impact of nuclear structure on nuclear dynamics. While the importance of structural effects in the nascent fragments is well established in the (trans-)actinide region, the observation of asymmetric fission in several neutron-deficient pre-actinides can be explained by various mechanisms. To deepen our insight into that puzzle, an innovative approach based on inverse kinematics and an enhanced version of the VAMOS++ heavy-ion spectrometer was implemented at the GANIL facility, Caen. Fission of $^{178}$Hg was induced by fusion of $^{124}$Xe and $^{54}$Fe. The two fragments were detected in coincidence using VAMOS++ supplemented with a new SEcond Detection arm. For the first time in the pre-actinide region, access to the pre-neutron mass and total kinetic energy distributions, and the simultaneous isotopic identification of one the fission fragment, was achieved. The present work describes the experimental approach, and discusses the pre-neutron observables in the context of an extended asymmetricfission island located southwest of $^{208}$Pb. A comparison with different models is performed, demonstrating the importance of this new asymmetric-fission island for elaborating on driving effects in fission. The low-lying excited states in the neutron-deficient $N = Z + 1$ nucleus $^{87}_{43}$Tc$_{44}$ have been studied via the fusion-evaporation reaction $^{54}$Fe $(^{36}Ar, 2n1p)$ $^{87}$Tc at the Grand Accelerateur National d'Ions Lourds (GANIL), France. The AGATA spectrometer was used in conjunction with the auxiliary NEDA, Neutron Wall, and DIAMANT detector arrays to measure coincident prompt γ rays, neutrons, and charged particles emitted in the reaction. A level scheme of $^{87}$Tc from the $(9/2^+_{g.s})$ state to the $( 33 / 2^+_1$) state was established based on six mutually coincident γ -ray transitions. The constructed level structure exhibits a rotational behavior with a sharp backbending at $ℏω ≈ 0.50$ MeV. A decrease in alignment frequency and increase in alignment sharpness in the odd-mass isotonic chains around $N=44$ is proposed as an effect of the enhanced isoscalar neutron-proton interactions in odd-mass nuclei when approaching the $N=Z$ line.

International audience; Les innovations de l’imagerie diagnostique et de la radiologie interventionnelle ont permis l’optimisation de la prise en charge des patients atteints de pathologies aortiques. Au stade aigu, le risque vital est à considérer en priorité. La visualisation par scanner de toute l’aorte permet de décider de la meilleur option entre chirurgie et radiologie interventionnelle (fenestration, endoprothèse couverte, endoprothèse périphérique). Les algorithmes décisionnels, basés sur la compréhension des complications et risques évolutifs, ont été modifiés notamment pour les dissections aortiques. Au stade chronique, le médecin vasculaire et le généraliste doivent surveiller l’aorte et les facteurs de risques cardiovasculaires afin d’éviter les complications. L’IRM est alors indiquée.

The first paper of this series established a linear stochastic wave equation for solar-like p-modes, correctly taking the effect of turbulence thereon into account. In this second paper, we aim at deriving simultaneous expressions for the excitation rate, damping rate, and modal surface effect associated with any given p-mode, as an explicit function of the statistical properties of the turbulent velocity field. We reduce the stochastic wave equation to complex amplitude equations for the normal oscillating modes of the system. We then derive the equivalent Fokker-Planck equation for the real amplitudes and phases of all the oscillating modes of the system simultaneously. The effect of the finite-memory time of the turbulent fluctuations (comparable to the period of the modes) on the modes themselves is consistently and rigorously accounted for, by means of the simplified amplitude equation formalism. This formalism accounts for mutual linear mode coupling in full, and we then turn to the special single-mode case. This allows us to derive evolution equations for the mean energy and mean phase of each mode, from which the excitation rate, the damping rate, and the modal surface effect naturally arise. We show that the expression for the excitation rate of the modes is identical to previous results obtained through a different modelling approach, thus supporting the validity of the formalism presented here. We also recover the fact that the damping rate and modal surface effect correspond to the real and imaginary part of the same single complex quantity. We explicitly separate the different physical contributions to these observables, in particular the turbulent pressure contribution and the joint effect of the pressure-rate-of-strain correlation and the turbulent dissipation. Direct nuclear reactions with radioactive ion beams represent an extremely powerful tool to extend the study of fundamental nuclear properties far from stability. These measurements require pure and dense targets to cope with the low beam intensities. The $^3$He cryogenic target HeCTOr has been designed to perform direct nuclear reactions in inverse kinematics. The high density of $^3$He scattering centers, of the order of 10$^{20}$ atoms/cm$^2$, makes it particularly suited for experiments where low-intensity radioactive beams are involved. The target was employed in a first in-beam experiment, where it was coupled to state-of-the-art gamma-ray and particle detectors. It showed excellent stability in gas temperature and density over time. Relevant experimental quantities, such as total target thickness, energy resolution and gamma-ray absorption, were determined through dedicated Geant4 simulations and found to be in good agreement with experimental data., Comment: 12 pages, 10 figures

International audience; Excited states of neutron rich Iodine isotopes 130−134 I above the high spin isomers have been identified using prompt-delayed γ-ray spectroscopy. The Iodine isotopes have been produced as fission fragments of fusion-fission and transfer induced fission of 9 Be(238 U, f) at a beam energy of 6.2 MeV/u. The complete (A, Z) identification was obtained using the large acceptance magnetic spectrometer VAMOS++. The AGATA γ-ray tracking array was used to detect the prompt γ rays while the delayed γ rays (in the time range of 100 ns to 200 µs) from the isomeric states were identified by the EXOGAM segmented Clover detectors, placed behind the focal plane of VAMOS++ spectrometer. The high spin states above the (8 −) isomers in 130,132 I have been populated for the first time and a new isomer in 132 I has been identified. New γ-ray transition has also been assigned to the level structure of 134 I. Prompt transitions above the 19/2 − isomer have been identified in 131,133 I, for the first time. The level structures are interpreted in terms of the systematics of odd-Z nuclei above Z = 50 shell closure and large scale shell model calculations.

To validate the performance of an automatic tool to estimate a patient’s peak skin dose (PSD) and a skin dose map from data collected by a radiation dose management system (RDMS) during interventional procedures. In total, 288 eligible consecutive patients undergoing abdominopelvic embolisation or planned coronary angioplasty using radiochromic films were screened between June 2018 and March 2019. For 98 included patients, PSD was measured using radiochromic films (PSDFilm) and computed by RDMS (PSDRDMS) using one flat and two anthropomorphic phantoms. Statistical concordance between PSDFilm and PSDRDMS was computed with Lin’s concordance correlation coefficient and clinical concordance with the Bland and Altman graphic; values were compared using the paired Mann-Whitney-Wilcoxon test. In total, 190/288 patients were excluded and 98 patients were analysed (69 men, mean age 66 ± 14 years). The PSDFilm median (1st; 3rd quartile) was 0.59 Gy (0.40; 1.08). PSDRDMS was 0.62 Gy (0.43; 1.22) for the flat phantom and 0.62 Gy (0.42; 1.19) for anthropomorphic phantoms. The concordance between PSDFilm and PSDRDMS was good for both phantoms (flat: 0.94 [0.91; 0.95]; anthropomorphic 0.94 [0.91; 0.96]). Compared with the values of PSDFilm, the values of PSDRDMS were significantly increased by 5% (− 4%; 16%) for flat phantom (p = 0.001) and 7% (− 6%; 22%) for anthropomorphic phantoms (p = 0.002) for vascular procedures and 9% (− 4%; 26%, p = 0.01) and 6% (− 4%; 23%, p = 0.02) for cardiac procedures, respectively. Dose map representations matched for most patients. The gaps identified were due to table displacement during fluoroscopy events and the use of a wedge filter. The RDMS skin dose map tool allowed the computation of the PSD and skin dose distribution for all patients with fewer constraints than radiochromic films. However, the computed PSD was overestimated, increasing the number of patients requiring follow-up. • A good concordance correlation was identified between the peak skin dose (PSD) values measured with radiochromic films and estimated with the radiation dose management system (RDMS) skin dose map tool. • Differences were related to table displacement during fluoroscopy events and the use of a wedge filter, which are not accounted in the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine Radiation Dose Structured Reports. • For all procedures, the estimated PSDs were significantly higher than the measured PSDs by 5% (− 4%; 18%) for flat phantom (p

The interaction of the proton hole/particle in the above-mentioned orbitals with neutrons in the νh11/2 orbital is an important prerequisite to the understanding of the nuclear structure near N=82 and the νπ interaction. Purpose: To explore the structural similarity between the high-spin isomeric states in In (Z=49), Sn (Z=50), and Sb (Z=51) isotopes from a microscopic point of view. In addition, to understand the role of a proton hole or particle in the spin-orbit partner orbitals, πg9/2 and πg7/2, respectively, with neutron holes in the νh11/2 orbital on these aforementioned isomers. Methods: The fusion and transfer induced fission reaction Be9(U238, f) with 6.2 MeV/u beam energy, using a unique setup consisting of AGATA, VAMOS++, and EXOGAM detectors, was used to populate through the fission process and study the neutron-rich In119,121 isotopes. This setup enabled the prompt-delayed γ-ray spectroscopy of isotopes in the time range of 100ns-200μs. Results: In the odd-AIn119,121 isotopes, indications of a short half-life 19/2- isomeric state, in addition to the previously known 25/2+ isomeric state, were observed from the present data. Further, new prompt transitions above the 25/2+ isomer in In121 were identified along with reevaluation of its half-life. Conclusions: The experimental data were compared with the theoretical results obtained in the framework of large-scale shell-model calculations in a restricted model space. The (πg9/2νh11/2;I|Ĥ|πg9/2νh11/2;I) two-body matrix elements of residual interaction were modified to explain the excitation energies and the B(E2) transition probabilities in the neutron-rich In isotopes. The (i) decreasing trend of E(29/2+)-E(25/2+) in odd-In (with dominant configuration πg9/2-1νh11/2-2 and maximum aligned spin of 29/2+) and (ii) increasing trend of E(27/2+)-E(23/2+) in odd-Sb (with dominant configuration πg7/2+1νh11/2-2 and maximum aligned spin of 27/2+) with increasing neutron number could be understood as a consequence of hole-hole and particle-hole interactions, respectively.

International audience; Purpose: To compare the evaluation of malignant focal liver lesions (FLLs) using a semi-automated RECIST tool with a standard and an ultra-low dose (ULD) computed tomography (CT) protocol.Materials and methods: Thirty-four patients with malignant FLLs underwent two abdominal-pelvic CT examinations one using a standard protocol and one using an ULD protocol. There were 23 men and 11 women with a mean age 64.3±14.4 (SD) years (range: 22-91 years). Dosimetric indicators were recorded, and effective dose was calculated for both examinations. Mean malignant FLL attenuation, image noise and contrast-to-noise-ratio (CNR) were compared. The largest malignant FLL per patient was evaluated using the semi-automated RECIST tool to determine longest axis length, longest orthogonal axis length, volume and World Health Organisation area.Results: Dosimetric values were significantly reduced by -56% with ULD compared to standard protocol. The low-lying energy spectrum of the extremely neutron-deficient self-conjugate (N = Z) nuclide 88 44Ru44 has been measured using the combination of the Advanced Gamma Tracking Array (AGATA) spectrometer, the NEDA and Neutron Wall neutron detector arrays, and the DIAMANT charged particle detector array. Excited states in 88Ru were populated via the 54Fe(36Ar; 2n )88Ru fusion-evaporation reaction at the Grand Acc�el�erateur National d'Ions Lourds (GANIL) accelerator complex. The observed -ray cascade is assigned to 88Ru using clean prompt - -2-neutron coincidences in anti-coincidence with the detection of charged particles, con�rming and extending the previously assigned sequence of low-lying excited states. It is consistent with a moderately deformed rotating system exhibiting a band crossing at a rotational frequency that is significantly higher than standard theoretical predictions with isovector pairing, as well as observations in neighboring N > Z nuclides. The direct observation of such a \delayed" rotational alignment in a deformed N = Z nucleus is in agreement with theoretical predictions related to the presence of strong isoscalar neutron-proton pair correlations.

International audience; PURPOSE: To assess the value of the routine use of radiochromic films in abdominopelvic embolization procedures to improve patient follow-up. METHODS: A total of 55~patients who underwent transcatheter abdominopelvic embolization were prospectively included. Six types of procedures were evaluated including hepatic chemoembolization (HCE), gonadal veins embolization (GVE), uterine elective embolization (UEE), uterine urgent embolization (UUE), abdominal elective embolization (AEE), and abdominal urgent embolization (AUE). Dosimetric indicators (DIs) such as air-kerma (AK) and kerma-area-product (KAP) were collected and peak skin dose (PSD) was measured with radiochromic films. Correlations between PSD and DIs were searched for. RESULTS: The mean (\textpmstandard deviation [SD]) PSD for the various procedures were: 1033\textpm502~mGy for HCE; 476\textpm271~mGy for GVE; 460\textpm171 mGy for UEE; 531\textpm263~mGy for UUE; 708\textpm896~mGy for AEE; 683\textpm392~mGy for AUE. Strong correlations were observed between PSD and DIs (r=0.974 for AK and r=0.925 for KAP). PSD was\textgreater2Gy in one procedure and all procedures (7/132) procedures resulted in AK\textgreater2Gy, mostly for HCE and AEE. CONCLUSION: Dosimetry using radiochromic film is only appropriate for HCE, AEE and AUE, whereas dose-mapping systems present a more suitable solution for all embolizations including those with AK that occasionally exceed 2Gy.

Background The potential role of socio-economic status (SES) in COVID-19 remains unknown. The highest excess mortality rate in France linked to COVID-19 is reported in the Seine-Saint-Denis (SSD) district, which is the poorest district of the Greater Paris Area. Our objective was to compare patient characteristics between two districts of Greater Paris and determine whether precarity is a risk factor for severe COVID-19 respiratory disease at hospital admission. We selected patients hospitalized for COVID-19 from three academic hospitals, one located in SSD, and two in the Hauts-de-Seine (HDS) district, a rich district of Greater Paris. All selected patients were prospectively screened on the same day (April 20, 2020). Patients were asked about their SES via a questionnaire and information on smoking habits, comorbidities, and respiratory severity at admission was collected. Results 112 patients were included (58.6% (65/112) men, age: 66.7 ± 16.3 years old, 11.0% (12/109) Africans or Afro-Caribbeans, and 7.7% (8/104) current smokers). COVID-19 was severe in most cases 59.8% (67/112). The distribution of initial severity was similar in both districts, although SSD patients were approximately 10 years younger than HDS patients (61.8 ± 14.0 versus 71.0 ± 17.1 years old, P= 0.002). Aims. This series of papers aims at building a new formalism specifically tailored to study the impact of turbulence on the global modes of oscillation in solar-like stars. This first paper aims at deriving a linear wave equation that directly and consistently contains the turbulence as an input to the model, and therefore naturally contains the information on the coupling between the turbulence and the modes, through the stochasticity of the equations. Methods. We use a Lagrangian stochastic model of turbulence based on Probability Density Function methods to describe the evolution of the properties of individual fluid particles through stochastic differential equations. We then transcribe these stochastic differential equations from a Lagrangian frame to an Eulerian frame, more adapted to the analysis of stellar oscillations. We combine this method with Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics, where all the mean fields appearing in the Lagrangian stochastic model are estimated directly from the set of fluid particles themselves, through the use of a weighting kernel function allowing to filter the particles present in any given vicinity. The resulting stochastic differential equations on Eulerian variables are then linearised. Results. We obtain a stochastic, linear wave equation governing the time evolution of the relevant wave variables, while at the same time containing the effect of turbulence. The wave equation generalises the classical, unperturbed propagation of acoustic waves in a stratified medium to a form that, by construction, accounts for the impact of turbulence on the mode in a consistent way. The effect of turbulence consists in a non-homogeneous forcing term, responsible for the stochastic driving of the mode, and a stochastic perturbation to the homogeneous part of the wave equation, responsible for both the damping of the mode and the modal surface effects., Paper accepted for publication in A&A. 18 pages (12 without Appendices), 1 figure. The MUGAST-AGATA-VAMOS set-up at GANIL combines the MUGAST highly-segmented silicon array with the state-of-the-art AGATA array and the large acceptance VAMOS spectrometer. The mechanical and electronics integration copes with the constraints of maximum efficiency for each device, in particular {\gamma}-ray transparency for the silicon array. This complete set-up offers a unique opportunity to perform exclusive measurements of direct reactions with the radioactive beams from the SPIRAL1 facility. The performance of the set-up is described through its commissioning and two examples of transfer reactions measured during the campaign. High accuracy spectroscopy of the nuclei of interest, including cross-sections and angular distributions, is achieved through the triple-coincidence measurement. In addition, the correction from Doppler effect of the {\gamma}-ray energies is improved by the detection of the light particles and the use of two-body kinematics and a full rejection of the background contributions is obtained through the identification of heavy residues. Moreover, the system can handle high intensity beams (up to 108 pps). Introduction Le role du statut socio-economique (SSE) dans l’infection au COVID-19 est mal inconnu. En France mars-avril 2020, le taux de surmortalite lie au COVID-19 le plus eleve a touche la Seine-Saint-Denis (SSD), le departement le plus pauvre du Grand Paris. Methodes Objectifs: comparer le SSE des patients entre deux departements du Grand Paris et de determiner si la precarite est un facteur de risque de severite initiale du COVID-19. Etude multicentrique: CHU Avicenne situe en SSD, et CHU Beaujon et Ambroise-Pare situes dans les Hauts-de-Seine (HDS), un departement riche de la region. Les patients hospitalises en unite COVID-19 ont ete interroges le meme jour (20 avril 2020) sur leur SSE, et le score de precarite EPICES a ete utilise. La severite initiale a l’admission a ete definie par: non severe (O2 30/min, ou O2 > 5L/min, ou etendue de lesions > 50% au TDM), Stade III (admission en reanimation). Une regression logistique a ete utilisee pour identifier les facteurs de severite initiale aux COVID-19. Resultats 190 patients ont ete selectionnes, et 78(41%) exclus (45% pour confusion, 21% barriere de la langue, 15% trop severe, 11% tutelle/curatelle, et 8% de refus).112 patients ont ete inclus (59% hommes, âge: 66,7 ± 16,3 ans, 11% Africains ou Afro-Caribeens, et 8% de fumeurs actifs). Le COVID-19 etait severe dans 59,8% des cas. La distribution de la severite initiale etait similaire dans les deux departements, alors que les patients de SSD avaient 10 ans de moins que ceux des HDS (61,8 ± 14,0 contre 71,0 ± 17,1 ans, p = 0,002). Les patients de SSD presentaient plus de surpoids (29,6 ± 6,08 contre 25,2 ± 5,67, p Conclusion La precarite semble etre associee a la gravite initiale du COVID-19 chez les patients hospitalises de moins de 70 ans. Le faible SSE et les comorbidites pourraient expliquer a la surmortalite observee en SSD, le departement le plus pauvre et le plus jeune du Grand Paris.

Introduction Certains voyageurs sont plus exposes aux infections sexuellement transmissibles durant leur sejour. Les consultations du voyage ont souvent comme principal objectif la realisation de vaccins, la prescription de prophylaxie du paludisme et des diarrhees… La dispensation de conseils de prevention des IST, y compris du VIH, doit aussi etre integree a ces consultations. La prophylaxie pre-exposition du VIH (PrEP) est un moyen de prevention diversifiee du VIH. L’objectif de cette etude est d’evaluer la prise de risque sexuelle declaree par les voyageurs et leur connaissance envers la PrEP. Materiels et methodes Un questionnaire en francais evaluant les rapports sexuels envisages lors de leur prochain voyage etait administre chez des patients vus en consultation de vaccination et conseil aux voyageurs de plus de 18 ans entre le 1er novembre 2019 et le 1er fevrier 2020 de notre hopital. La connaissance de la PrEP etait egalement evaluee. Resultats Ce sont 283 voyageurs qui ont accepte de repondre au questionnaire. Il y avait 53 % de femmes, l’âge median etait de 35 ans (IQR : 27–48). Quarante-deux pour cent etaient nes en France metropolitaine, 40 % en Afrique subsaharienne et 7 % en Afrique du Nord et Moyen-Orient. Le delai median d’arrivee en France etait de 17,8 ans (IQR : 10–29) pour ceux nes a l’etranger. Les voyageurs se rendaient principalement (n = 232, 82 %) en Afrique subsaharienne. Quarante-huit pour cent des patients avaient une duree de sejour Seuls 83/271 repondants (31 %) declaraient prevoir des rapports sexuels durant leur voyage. Parmi eux, 15 (18 %) avec des nouveaux.elles partenaires qu’ils pensaient rencontrer en voyage et 12 (80 %) d’entre eux declaraient utiliser toujours le preservatif lors d’un rapport. Six (15 %) et 7 (23 %) des voyageurs nes en France et en Afrique subsaharienne respectivement declaraient des rapports avec de nouveaux.elles partenaires. Seuls 32/275 (12 %) repondants avaient deja entendu parler de la PrEP : 23 (18 %) chez ceux nes en France contre 8 (7 %) chez ceux nes en Afrique subsaharienne (p = 0,015). Une meconnaissance etait notee pour 32 (15 %) 39 (18 %), 8 (4 %) et 9 (4 %) voyageurs qui pensaient que la PrEP etait un nouveau vaccin, un traitement post-exposition, un type de preservatif et une pilule contraceptive respectivement. L’interet median de la PrEP, sur une echelle de 1 (mauvais) a 10 (bon) etait de 8 (IQR : 6–9). Conclusion Seuls un tiers des voyageurs declaraient avoir des rapports sexuels durant leur prochain voyage, laissant suspecter une sous-declaration. Pourtant, l’evaluation de la prise de risque sexuel doit faire partie de la consultation du voyage et des conseils doivent etre prodigues. Si le port declare du preservatif est bon, il n’est pas systematique. La PrEP peut donc etre un outil complementaire de prevention diversifiee du VIH chez les voyageurs. Elle est encore meconnue chez ces derniers et doit etre promue en consultation.

International audience; Objective: To assess the interactive Skin Dose Map® tool (SDMTool) integrated to the radiation dose management system (RDMS) DoseWatch® with Gafchromic® films for implementation in routine practice.Methods: A retrospective dose estimation software SDMTool was used to calculate Peak Skin Dose (PSD) and display the patient skin dose distribution. PSD was calculated with a triangle mesh of 0.055 cm2 resolution on ICRP 110 male anthropomorphic phantom and with a square ROI of 1 cm2 on flat phantom. The tool uses Radiation Dose Structured Reports (RDSR) data to model exposure events and calculate the PSD per event. The PSD and the skin dose distribution estimated with SDMTool were evaluated in comparison with Gafchromic® films positioned under the PMMA phantom (20 cm) for 13 configurations. Measurements were performed on a Philips system. Statistical analysis were carried out to compare PSDFilm and PSDSDM.Results: Average differences between PSDFilm and PSDSDM were 6% ± 6% (range from -3% to 22%) for flat phantom and 5% ± 7% (range from -3% to 25%) for ICRP phantom. Concordance was good between the measured PSDFilm and the estimated PSDSDM with Lin's coefficient estimation and 95% Confidence Interval of 0.979 [0.875; 0.984] for flat phantom and 0.977 [0.877; 0.985] for ICRP phantom. Dose map representations are concordant for 11 of the 13 tests on PMMA phantom. Disparities arose from the limitations of the RSDR format: table displacement during fluoroscopy events and the use of wedge filter.Conclusion: The results found in this experimental evaluation show that the SDMTool is a suitable alternative to Gafchromic® film to calculate PSD.

A lifetime measurement of the 19/2 state in Pb has been performed using the Recoil Distance Doppler-Shift (RDDS) method. The nuclei of interest were produced in multi-nucleon transfer reactions induced by a Pb beam impinging on a Mo enriched target. The beam-like nuclei were detected and identified in terms of their atomic mass number in the VAMOS++ spectrometer while the prompt γ rays were detected by the AGATA tracking array. The measured large reduced transition probability B(E3,19/2→13/2)=40(8) W.u. is the first indication of the octupole phonon at high spin in Pb. An analysis in terms of a particle-octupole-vibration coupling model indicates that the measured B(E3) value in Pb is compatible with the contributions from single-phonon and single particle E3 as well as E3 strength arising from the double-octupole-phonon 6 state, all adding coherently. A crucial aspect of the coupling model, namely the strong mixing between single-hole and the phonon-hole states, is confirmed in a realistic shell-model calculation.

Background: Levels fulfilling the seniority scheme and relevant isomers are commonly observed features in semimagic nuclei; for example, in Sn isotopes (Z=50). Seniority isomers in Sn, with dominantly pure neutron configurations, directly probe the underlying neutron-neutron (νν) interaction. Furthermore, an addition of a valence proton particle or hole, through neutron-proton (νπ) interaction, affects the neutron seniority as well as the angular momentum. Purpose The purpose of this study was to evaluate a cooperation program in order to compare incidence of complications after peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement between radiologists and technicians. Materials and methods PICC placement technique was standardized with ultrasound-guided puncture and fluoroscopic guidance. Numbers of PICC delegated to technicians, and PICC placement difficulties, were prospectively recorded for the whole study population whereas complications such as PICC infection, deep venous thrombosis and catheter occlusion were prospectively recorded until PICC removal for a subgroup of patients included during one month. Results A total of 722 patients had PICC placement. There were 382 men and 340 women with a mean age of 66.8 ± 15.8 (SD) years (range: 18–94 years); of these, 442/722 patients (61.22%) were included in the cooperation program with 433/722 patients (59.97%) who effectively had PICC placement by technicians and 289/722 (40.03%) by radiologists. Technicians needed radiologists’ help for 23/442 patients (5.20%) including 6 failed PICC placement subsequently performed by radiologists. Twenty complications (20/77; 26%) were recorded in the subgroup of 77 patients studied for complications. No differences in complications rate were found between the 33 patients who underwent PICC placement by radiologists (6/33; 18%) and the 44 patients who underwent PICC placement by technicians (14/44; 32%) (P = 0.296). Complications included 8 PICC-related infections (8/77; 10.4%), 3 deep venous thromboses (3/77; 3.9%) and 9 catheter occlusions (9/77; 11.7%). Conclusion PICC placement led by technicians is feasible and safe without statistical difference in terms of complications compared to PICC placement made by radiologists.

Introduction La prise de poids chez les patients vivants avec le VIH (PVVIH) sous traitement antiretroviral (ARV) est une problematique d’actualite. Ces deux parametres, prise de poids et VIH, sont correles a une inflammation systemique. Nous avons etudie l’association entre des marqueurs socio-cliniques, inflammatoires et metaboliques et la prise de poids chez les PVVIH sous traitement antiretroviral. Materiels et methodes Les PPVIH de la cohorte ANRS COPANA avec un poids normal (indice de masse corporelle [IMC] 18,5–24,9 kg/m2) a l’initiation du traitement ARV et une suppression virologique (charge virale Resultats A M36, 32 personnes (20 %) sont en surpoids ou obeses parmi 158 PVVIH inclues (21 % de femmes, 65 % nees en France, 23 % nees en Afrique subsaharienne [ASS], 57 % sous inhibiteur de protease, nombre median de CD4 259/mm3 [IQR : 169–326] et IMC median 22 [21–23] a l’initiation du traitement ARV). Les PVVIH en surpoids ou obeses a M36 avaient des taux d’IL8, de sTNFR2 et de sCD163 plus eleves et des concentrations d’adiponectine plus faibles a l’initiation du traitement que les personnes qui ont garde un IMC normal. Un IMC pre-therapeutique plus eleve, etre migrants d’Afrique subsaharienne, etre en couple, des concentrations de sTNFR2 seriques plus elevees et d’adiponectine plus faibles au debut des ARV sont les facteurs associes au surpoids ou a l’obesite a M36. Conclusion La prise de poids sous ARV est multifactorielle. Une attention particuliere doit etre portee aux migrants d’ASS. L’activation des monocytes et le dysfonctionnement adipocytaire a l’introduction des ARV sont associes a une prise de poids sous traitement.

Context.Space observations by the CoRoT andKeplermissions have provided a wealth of high-quality seismic data for a large number of stars from the main sequence to the red giant phases. One main goal of these missions is to take advantage of the rich spectra of solar-like oscillations to perform precise determinations of stellar characteristic parameters. To make the best of such data, we need theoretical stellar models with a precise near-surface structure since a near-surface structure of a solar-like star has significant influence on solar-like oscillation frequencies. The mixing-length parameter is a key factor to determine the near-surface structure of stellar models. In current versions of the convection formulations used in stellar evolution codes, the mixing-length parameter is a free parameter that needs to be properly specified.Aims.We aim at determining appropriate values of the mixing-length parameter,α, to be used consistently with the adopted convection formulation when computing stellar evolution models across the Hertzsprung–Russell diagram. This determination is based on 3D hydrodynamical simulation models.Methods.We calibratedαvalues by matching entropy profiles of 1D envelope models with those of hydrodynamical 3D models of solar-like stars produced by the CO5BOLD code. For such calibration, previous works concentrated on the classical mixing-length theory (MLT). We also analyzed full spectrum turbulence (FST) models. To construct the atmosphere in the 1D models, we used the Eddington grayT(τ) relation and that with the solar-calibrated Hopf-like function.Results.For both MLT and FST models with a mixing lengthl = αHp, calibratedαvalues increase with increasing surface gravity or decreasing effective temperature. For the FST models, we carried out an additional calibration using anα*value defined asl = rtop − r + α*Hp, top, whereα*is found to increase with surface gravity and effective temperature. We provide tables of the calibratedαvalues across theTeff–log g plane for solar metallicity. By computing stellar evolution with varyingαbased on our 3Dαcalibration, we find that the change from solarαto varyingαshifts evolutionary tracks particularly for the FST model. As for the correspondence to the 3D models, the solar Hopf-like function generally gives a photospheric-minimum entropy closer to a 3D model than the EddingtonT(τ). The structure below the photosphere depends on the adopted convection model. However, we cannot obtain a definitive conclusion about which convection model gives the best correspondence to the 3D models. This is because each 1D physical quantity is related via an equation of state (EoS), but it is not the case for the averaged 3D quantities. Although the FST models withl = rtop − r + α*Hp, topare found to give the oscillation frequencies closest to the solar observed frequencies, their acoustic cavities are formed with compensatory effects between deviating density and temperature profiles near the top of the convective envelope. In future work, an appropriate treatment of the top part of the 1D convective envelope is necessary, for example, by considering turbulent pressure and overshooting.

Asteroseismology is a unique tool that can be used to study the interior of stars and hence deliver unique information for the studiy of stellar physics, stellar evolution, and Galactic archaeology. We aim to develop a simple model of the information content of asteroseismology and to characterize the ability and precision with which fundamental properties of stars can be estimated for different space missions. We defined and calibrated metrics of the seismic performance. The metrics, expressed by a seismic index ${\mathcal{E}$ defined by simple scaling relations, are calculated for an ensemble of stars. We studied the relations between the properties of mission observations, fundamental stellar properties, and the performance index. We also defined thresholds for asteroseismic detection and measurement of different stellar properties We find two regimes of asteroseismic performance: the first where the signal strength is dominated by stellar properties and not by observational noise; and the second where observational properties dominate. Typically, for evolved stars, stellar properties provide the dominant terms in estimating the information content, while main sequence stars fall in the regime where the observational properties, especially stellar magnitude, dominate. We estimate scaling relations to predict ${\mathcal{E}$ with an intrinsic scatter of around 21%. Incidentally, the metrics allow us to distinguish stars burning either hydrogen or helium. Our predictions will help identify the nature of the cohort of existing and future asteroseismic observations. Helioseismology and asteroseismology of red giant stars have shown that the distribution of angular momentum in stellar interiors, and its evolution with time remains an open issue in stellar physics. Owing to the unprecedented quality of Kepler photometry, we are able to seismically infer internal rotation rates in \gamma Doradus stars, which provide the MS counterpart to the red-giants puzzle. We confront these internal rotation rates to stellar evolution models with rotationally induced transport of angular momentum, in order to test angular momentum transport mechanisms. We used a stellar model-independent method developed by Christophe et al. in order to obtain seismically inferred, buoyancy radii and near-core rotation for 37 \gamma Doradus stars observed by Kepler. We show that the buoyancy radius can be used as a reliable evolution indicator for field stars on the MS. We computed rotating evolutionary models including transport of angular momentum in radiative zones, following Zahn and Maeder, with the CESTAM code. This code calculates the rotational history of stars from the birth line to the tip of the RGB. The initial angular momentum content has to be set initially, which is done by fitting rotation periods in young stellar clusters. We show a clear disagreement between the near-core rotation rates measured in the sample and the rotation rates obtained from evolutionary models including rotationally induced transport following Zahn (1992). These results show a disagreement similar to that of the Sun and red giant stars. This suggests the existence of missing mechanisms responsible for the braking of the core before and along the MS. The efficiency of the missing mechanisms is investigated. The space-borne missions CoRoT and Kepler have already brought stringent constraints on the internal structure of low-mass evolved stars, a large part of which results from the detection of mixed modes. However, all the potential of these oscillation modes as a diagnosis of the stellar interior has not been fully exploited yet. In particular, the coupling factor or the gravity-offset of mixed modes, $q$ and $\varepsilon_{\rm g}$, are expected to provide additional constraints on the mid-layers of red giants, which are located between the hydrogen-burning shell and the neighborhood of the base of the convective zone. In the present paper, we investigate the potential of the coupling factor in probing the mid-layer structure of evolved stars. Guided by typical stellar models and general physical considerations, we modeled the coupling region along with evolution. We subsequently obtained an analytical expression of $q$ based on the asymptotic theory of mixed modes and compared it to observations. We show that the value of $q$ is degenerate with respect to the thickness of the coupling evanescent region and the local density scale height. A structural interpretation of the global variations in $q$ observed on the subgiant and the red giant branches, as well as on the red clump, was obtained in the light of this model. We demonstrate that $q$ has the promising potential to probe the migration of the base of the convective region as well as convective extra-mixing in evolved red giant stars with typically $\nu_{\rm max} \lesssim 100~\mu$Hz. We also show that the frequency-dependence of $q$ cannot be neglected in the oscillation spectra of such stars, which is in contrast with what is assumed in the current measurement methods. Oscillation properties are usually measured by fitting symmetric Lorentzian profiles to the power spectra of Sun-like stars. However the line profiles of solar oscillations have been observed to be asymmetrical for the Sun. The physical origin of this line asymmetry is not fully understood, although it should depend on the depth dependence of the source of wave excitation (convective turbulence) and details of the observable (velocity or intensity). For oscillations of the Sun, it has been shown that neglecting the asymmetry leads to systematic errors in the frequency determination. This could subsequently affects the results of seismic inferences of the solar internal structure. Using light curves from the {\it Kepler} spacecraft we have measured mode asymmetries in 43 stars. We confirm that neglecting the asymmetry leads to systematic errors that can exceed the $1\sigma$ confidence intervals for seismic observations longer than one year. Therefore, the application of an asymmetric Lorentzian profile is to be favoured to improve the accuracy of the internal stellar structure and stellar fundamental parameters. We also show that the asymmetry changes sign between cool Sun-like stars and hotter stars. International audience; PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare the diagnostic accuracy of ultra-low dose (ULD) computed tomography (CT) with that of standard dose (STD) CT in the detection and characterization of focal liver lesions in neoplastic patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 177 neoplastic patients who underwent two abdominopelvic CT examinations (one with STD and one with ULD protocol) for suspected focal liver lesions were included. There were 103 men and 74 women with a mean age of 64.6\textpm14.4 (SD) (range: 19-93 years). Raw data images were reconstructed with iterative reconstruction. Dose length product (DLP) and effective dose for both protocols were compared. Images were independently evaluated by two radiologists for image-quality, diagnostic quality, and confidence level. RESULTS: DLP for STD and ULD were respectively 215.4\textpm92.0 (SD) mGy\textperiodcenteredcm (range: 76-599mGy\textperiodcenteredcm) and 90.7\textpm37.2 (SD) mGy\textperiodcenteredcm (range: 32-254mGy\textperiodcenteredcm). Effective dose for STD and ULD CT were 3.2\textpm1.4 (SD) mSv (range: 1.1-9.0mSv) and 1.4\textpm0.6 (SD) mSv (range: 0.5 to 3.8mSv). A significant 58% dose reduction was found between the two protocols (P\textless0.05). Noise, signal-to-noise ratio and contrast-to-noise ratio were higher with the ULD protocol compared to the STD protocol. No differences in subjective image quality were found between the two protocols. STD CT revealed focal liver lesions in 80 patients and ULD CT in 70 patients (P\textless0.05). ULD protocol resulted in a sensitivity of 83.8% and a specificity of 96.9% for the diagnosis of focal liver lesions although it was not able to characterize them properly (Se 62.5%). CONCLUSION: STD CT helps detect and characterize focal liver lesions. ULD CT offers good performance to detect focal liver lesions but with lower performances for lesion characterization.

Oscillation modes with a mixed character, as observed in evolved low-mass stars, are highly sensitive to the physical properties of the innermost regions. Measuring their properties is therefore extremely important to probe the core, but requires some care, due to the complexity of the mixed-mode pattern. This work aims at providing a consistent description of the mixed-mode pattern of low-mass stars, based on the asymptotic expansion. We also aim at studying the variation of the gravity offset $\varepsilon_{g}$ with stellar evolution. We revisit previous work about mixed modes in red giants and empirically test how period spacings, rotational splittings, mixed-mode widths and heights can be estimated in a consistent view, based on the properties of the mode inertia ratios. From the asymptotic fit of the mixed-mode pattern of a large set of red giants at various evolutionary stages, we derive unbiased and precise asymptotic parameters. As the asymptotic expansion of gravity modes is verified with a precision close to the frequency resolution for stars on the red giant branch (10$^{-4}$ in relative values), we can derive accurate values of the asymptotic parameters. We decipher the complex pattern in a rapidly rotating star, and explain how asymmetrical splittings can be inferred, as well as the stellar inclinations. This allows us to revisit the stellar inclinations in two open clusters, NGC 6819 and NGC 6791: our results show that the stellar inclinations in these clusters do not have privileged orientation in the sky. The variation of the asymptotic gravity offset along with stellar evolution is investigated in detail. A new experimental setup to measure prompt-delayed $\gamma$ -ray coincidences from isotopically identified fission fragments, over a wide time range of 100ns-200μ s, is presented. The fission fragments were isotopically identified, on an event-by-event basis, using the VAMOS++ large acceptance spectrometer. The prompt $\gamma$ rays emitted at the target position and corresponding delayed $ \gamma$ rays emitted at the focal plane of the spectrometer were detected using, respectively, thirty two crystals of the AGATA $\gamma$ -ray tracking array and seven EXOGAM HPGe Clover detectors. Fission fragments produced in fusion and transfer-induced fission reactions, using a 238U beam at an energy of 6.2 MeV/u impinging on a 9Be target, were used to characterize and qualify the performance of the detection system.

The Advanced GAmma Tracking Array (AGATA) has been installed at the GANIL facility, Caen-France. This setup exploits the stable and radioactive heavy-ions beams delivered by the cyclotron accelerator complex of GANIL. Additionally, it benefits from a large palette of ancillary detectors and spectrometers to address in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy of exotic nuclei. The set-up has been designed to couple AGATA with a magnetic spectrometer, charged-particle and neutron detectors, scintillators for the detection of high-energy γ rays and other devices such as a plunger to measure nuclear lifetimes. In this paper, the design and the mechanical characteristics of the set-up are described. Based on simulations, expected performances of the AGATA l π array are presented.
