Currently, the South African Basic Education Laws Amendment Bill (BELA) (Clause 37) replaces and adds provision to the South African Schools Act including regulating homeschooling. Home education research found that more and more parents appreciate/opt for the benefits of faith-based home-schooling, in this case, the Christian faith. The main reason is that since COVID-19, many Christian parents had the urge to preserve their Christian principles, Christian worldview, and quality education by opting for Christian faith-based homeschooling. This is a qualitative study and the purpose of this research was to determine which driving forces propel the choice of parents and their children to do homeschooling. The findings suggest that Christian faith-based homeschooling is a process facilitated by a triadic relationship consisting of the pastor, the parent/s, and the learner/s. In addition, based on the factors identified, their faith is paramount as they believe/think they are led by the Holy Spirit. Recommendations are offered regarding Christian faith-based homeschooling.

The purpose of this research was to describe lecturers’ practices of integrating a biblical Christian worldview in teaching courses in sociology, Indonesian language, art, and pedagogy (assessment and teaching and learning theories). The participants were the lecturers in one of the education faculties in Tangerang. The data were derived from interviews with five faculty members and collecting their course syllabus. Descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach was employed. The data were described and analyzed in the light of the current literature. The findings showed that those five faculty members have been implementing a biblical Christian worldview in their teaching with a pedagogy of transferring new information. This paper suggests faculty not use a biblical Christian worldview as just intellectual information with a goal of increasing head knowledge but rather use it to reorient students' hearts.

Cultural Mandate ,Christian worldview ,holistic worldview ,dualistic worldview ,Christianity ,BR1-1725 - Abstract
Cultural engagement is not an option but a duty. This article discusses the cultural mandate used to criticize the separation between sacred and secular. The cultural mandate will be explained through definitions and theological reviews found in various literature. Then, the author will show their critique of the separation between sacred and secular based on their understanding of the cultural mandate within the Christian worldview. This research article uses the library research method. This method will examine previous findings on the dualistic worldview and the cultural mandate from various literary sources such as books, academic journals, and online news with a narrative review approach. The result highlights the importance of understanding the cultural mandate within the cosmic context of the Bible's metanarrative (Creation-Fall-Redemption) as a strong foundation to reject this sacred and secular dualism. Every Christian needs to understand that they no longer need to live in a world that is separated between sacred and secular, but they can dedicate their entire life to Christ for the glory of God.

Business faculty at Christian colleges and universities are oftentimes challenged to teach from a Christian worldview. It can be difficult to teach from a Christian worldview without a structure or framework for doing so. This article will define a Christian worldview then offer a framework consisting of five questions that can be answered through a creation, fall, redemption, and restoration narrative for business faculty to employ in their respective disciplines. This framework will be explained theoretically, and then some practical applications will be provided. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

CHRISTIAN biblical hermeneutics , *WORLDVIEW , *DESIRE , *APOLOGETICS , *CURIOSITIES & wonders , *CREATIONISM ,CHRISTIAN attitudes - Abstract
This article discusses our approach to the biblical account of creation. It argues that we tend to adopt a reductionist approach, connected to a scientific apologetic and to the desire to respond to certain scientific curiosities. It insists that such an approach does not do justice to the context of the narrative, arguing that it loses sight of its impacts on the Christian worldview and advancing an approach that takes into account such impacts, providing examples of its benefits. The given book is a collection of the main biographical materials devoted to the life and activity of the great Russian surgeon Nikolai Pirogov. The compilers of the collection tried to show the famous N. Pirogov from a poorly known side, unique materials were published showing the scientist as a religious thinker, philosopher and teacher. The book includes essays and articles by people of the “wonderful doctor’s” time – famous public figures, clergymen, theologians and philosophers who introduce the readers with N. Pirogov personality in the context of his religious and philosophical views. Among them it is necessary to mention A.F. Koni, S.L. Frank, Archpriest V.V. Zenkovsky, Archbishop John (Shahovskoy) and others. The collection was prepared under the editorship of Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences Yuri Shevchenko (Archimandrite George). This outstanding cardiac surgeon of our days managed to present N. Pirogov as a deep Orthodox believer, philosopher and thinker moved in his professional activity by Christian virtue and high moral principles. From such point of view, the great Russian surgeon is studied in our modern science almost for the first time. Much material given in the publication was previously published only in pre-revolutionary Russia, having become a bibliographic rarity nowadays. The most important source for studying the philosophical and theological views of the scientist is N. Pirogov’s diary, a comprehensive analysis of which is given in the reviewed publication.

Artificial Intelligence ,Christian Worldview ,Homo Deus ,Posthuman ,John Lennox ,Philosophy. Psychology. Religion ,Christianity ,BR1-1725 - Abstract
In his book, 2084: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity, John Lennox attempts to establish a biblical foundation for the two fundamental and existential problems of humanity, namely, where humans come from and where humans go. His book is divided into 13 chapters. Lennox devotes the first seven chapters to critiquing secular naturalists' responses to these two fundamental problems. He spends the following six chapters demonstrating how Christianity provides specific and more "sophisticated" solutions to the question of man's origin and purpose. Lennox also reminded us that the human goal to utilize technology to overcome natural constraints and become like God is a traditional ambition that has existed since the first human fell into sin. Furthermore, for the purpose of human development, it is frequently exploited as an alibi by a few people who actually desire to reign over nature and the lives of other humans. Lennox advises readers to continue paying attention to motivation and consider the ethical difficulties accompanying every technological advancement. This book is recommended for anyone interested in technological advancement and Christian worldviews.

KINGDOM of God , *PROOF of God , *WORLDVIEW , *ETHICS , *POSSIBILITY , *CHRISTIAN ethics ,CHRISTIAN attitudes - Abstract
This article aims to investigate the concept of cosmovision and ethics, aiming to present the correlation between the themes and applicability from a Christian perspective, as well as to analyze the concept of the Kingdom of God and the ethics that guide it. The fundamental question that will try to be answered will be: how is it possible to establish the Christian cosmovision and the ethics of the kingdom of God in the practical life of the people, having as a starting point "The Beatitudes". To better understand the arguments, theoretical contributions will be used Dodd (2010); Ladd (2003); Geisler (2008); Lloyd-Jones (2011); among others. The investigative methods that will outline the research construction process are the hypothetical-deductive methods. The problem raised by a concern needs to receive an answer, therefore, faced with several hypotheses, a possibility of understanding the question presented will be proposed. For this reason it is necessary to understand the terms cosmovision, ethics, kingdom of God and blessedness, from this understanding the individual seeks to base himself on a true worldview that leads him to hope for existence in the kingdom of God. The Christian worldview expresses Christ's Sovereignty over all spheres of human existence, demonstrating Divine dominion over private and public life. In Romans 13: 1-7, Paul expounds the Christian perspective on civil government, providing an approach that recognizes the gospel dimension by redeeming even the citizen/state. Thus, the purpose of this work is to reflect on the message in Romans 13: 1-7, considering the Christian perspective on civil authorities, relating the people of God to the public challenges of a political nature. Through bibliographical research the main theological themes of the analyzed passage were presented, presenting its historical context, its relation with the message of the Lord and its actuality. In this study, the thoughts of celebrated New Testament scholars such as NT Wright, Willian Hendriksen, Adolf Pohl, among others, were considered to provide insights into Christ's Sovereignty over civil rulers and the need for church to influence the state with the principles of the Word of God. This essay describes an experience in the application of the Christian worldview to schoolbooks during a period in the history of the Mackenzie Teaching System (2011-2014). It presents two convictions that guided such application, some practical strategies that were adopted in its implementation, and the importance of a particular theoretical-philosophical framework in their preparation, i.e., reformational philosophy. Being aware of the subjective aspects and temporal limitations of this essay, the author does not intend to present a normative proposal, but a report that is both reflexive and instructional. His objective is to preserve a part of a creative process related to Christian education, offering reflections on the contextual questions and helping those involved in the challenge of applying the Christian worldview to the pedagogical activity. - Abstract
This action research project was designed to surface and codify a worldview that emerged among black people as a result of the traumatic phenomena of 2020. The program sought to help white pastors in New York’s Lower Hudson Valley recognize this new worldview, understand its implications, and desire to intentionally develop their level of Cultural Competence to more effectively counsel and disciple black congregants holding this worldview. The detrimental effects of the phenomena of 2020 exacerbated existing trauma caused by social and institutional racism and resulted in an altered worldview among urban blacks affecting relationships in communities and within church congregations. A practical, immersive intervention program was developed in which ten white, majority culture evangelical ministers participated in a 30-day phenomenologically based lifestyle immersion in black history and urban culture. Group discussions, surveys, and cultural immersion allowed pastors to experience the phenomena of 2020 and black history through the eyes of the minority sub-culture. The pastors grew in Cultural Intelligence and their desire to develop greater Cultural Competence intentionally. It is hoped that this project will inspire and guide a growing examination of identifiable, quantifiable, common-core worldviews by qualified evangelicals within their own sub-cultures. A growing, evolving compendium of cultural knowledge that builds Cultural Intelligence and leads to Cultural Competence within the Evangelical community would greatly benefit the kingdom.

WORLD War II ,CHRISTIAN attitudes ,AUTONOMY (Psychology) ,SUMMER festivals ,GOOD & evil ,CATHOLIC clergy - Abstract
The theatrical mainstream in Europe always reflected the basic worldview of the society and the ruling ideology. After the Second World War and the establishment of domination of the secularist worldview in Europe, many of the genres are banished from the mainstream theatre (for example mistery plays) if they affirmed the Christian worldview and its values hierarchy (love, serving, obedience), and transmitting the Christian message (the world is ruled by a good God; there is a difference between good and evil; the hero has a free will; if the hero chooses wrong he has a possibility to correct his wrongdoings). In Croatia the process was further strengthened by the ruling openly atheistic ideology. From 1954 to 1990 the mainstream theatres showed in total 52 premiers of religious thematic written by Croatian authors, of which 45 were subversive towards the Christian worldview, mostly written programmatically against the faith and the Church. Those included ”old” Krleža's expressionist texts (Golgota, Adam i Eva), but also 13 new texts (R. Marinković's Glorija, S. Šnajder's Dumanske tišine, M. Matišić's Legenda o sv. Muhli. Some authors (N. Fabrio, M. Grgić, A. Šoljan, I. Supek, I. Bakmaz, I. Brešan) used the representation of the Catholic Church as a totalitarian institution which is destroying the rebellious heretics as a metaphoric critique of totalitarianism and unfree character of the communist society, but that does not belittle their subversion of Christian worldview as it is the only thing that remains after the end of the policies they were criticizing. In that 45 year the professional theatres showed only 7 plays affirmative of the Christian worldview. Those were exclusively the old plays previously showed at the summer festivals as a research of the Renaissance heritage, and they have been shown only from the end of the 1960s. Beyond the margins of the professional theatre, almost in the illegal setting, there was alive theatre of the amateur productions in Catholic parishes, where the old and the new plays were shown. The new ones were written by both priests (R. Kupareo, I. Peran, I. Zirdum, A. Marić, Š. Šito Ćorić) and laymen (K. Tičić, M. Nardelli, N. Škrabe). Those texts were played across the world because through their high-quality theatrical expression they affirmed Christian worldview and sent to the public the message that the world has a meaning because it is part of the God's plan, and that the happiness is not achieved by the selfish self-care, but by giving the love to others. Traditionally, the Ndebele people of Zimbabwe used to grieve silently and quietly around a corpse. Singing and dancing were considered to be taboo. However, recently this trend has shifted noticeably because of the growth of Christianity in Zimbabwe and more especially the growth of Pentecostal Churches. This paper examines how Christianity and its beliefs have shaped and influenced Ndebele perceptions of grieving and mourning the passing on of their loved ones. The Christian worldview and the Ndebele worldview regarding death and the afterlife differ greatly and funeral practises have inevitably brought these worldviews into contact with each other. The Ndebele people's culture of grieving ‘silently’ with singing and dancing being seen as unbefitting around a corpse, has shifted with the growth of Christianity in Zimbabwe and particularly in Pentecostalism. With the shifting of these perceptions, the Ndebele people have warmed up to the idea which was for a long time viewed as being foreign. The Christian Biblical view of life after death is in a way certain and hopeful while the Ndebele traditional religion view of death is shrouded in silence and mystery. The researcher observed that the assurance of a life in heaven for Christians has made them to view death as not an end, and they thus rejoice in knowing that their loved ones are in God’s hands. Because of the influence of Christianity, singing, clapping and dancing have become familiar occurrences in most funerals. Paradoxically, this atmosphere of ‘celebrating’ has also been extended to those who are not Christians.

In the Western society of the 21st century, the dichotomy between faith and reason is very acceptable. Pan-modernist philosophies have created a society in a constant state of denial regarding the Christian contribution to the production of knowledge. However, history shows that the systematization of current knowledge is genuinely influenced by the Christian religion; the Christian profile itself, together with its principles of seeking the truth, were the necessary parameters that provided the conditions for the consolidation of modern science. The present research seeks to bring to light not only the religious legacy in teaching but also the challenges of harmonizing the Christian worldview and scientific research in the context of the 21st century, averse to this proposal. In this work, along with the bibliographical research, qualitative research was carried out in the city of Boa Vista, in institutions of basic and higher education that have experiences in implementing in their educational project a vision of Christian inspiration.

The article discusses the concept of Christian worldview. It specializes in the conception of Romano Guardini. Communists discredited largely the concept of the worldview. White some American protestants still defende and evolve the concept of the Christian worldview, Czech teologists are very sceptical towards it. The conception of the worldview is than applied to the thought of Czech writer, philosopher, pedagogue and theologist Jan Amos Komenský and especially to his Labyrint světa a ráj srdce (The labyrinth of the world and the paradise of the heart). Its present potential actuality is disputed. The work is interpreted also in the context of texts of contemporary Czech theologist Tomáš Halík.

- Abstract
This study explored Christian nurses' views of their source of caring (Deity or other), adherence to biblical faith practices, and view of nursing as a job, career, profession, or calling. Participants who reported Deity (God, Christ, Holy Spirit) as their source of caring were more likely to view nursing as a calling and report a higher degree of volunteering (serving), giving (financially to a religious community), devotions and prayer (personal walk), and fellowship (meeting with a community of other believers). Results have implications for understanding the concept of caring within the context of a Christian worldview. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study's purpose is to consider the biblical perspective of spiritual resilience- i.e., the ability to recover from spiritual suffering-and to outline its components. To this end, the study examines the definitions and characteristics of spiritual distress that have already been identified and then proposed new components of spiritual resilience as the ability to recover from spiritual distress. The study found that spiritual suffering lies at the heart of all suffering, often including a sense of disconnection from God, meaninglessness. Spiritual resilience can be defined as the capacity required to alleviate spiritual suffering, an essential capacity that must be cultivated by saints existing in a corrupt world of depravity. Spiritual resilience is based on two forms of knowledge: knowledge of God and an understanding of the suffering from a biblical perspective. Knowledge of God includes the image of God in the Bible, God who knows our suffering, and God who comforts us on the last day. Understanding pain from a biblical point of view involves understanding pain through the doctrines of creation, depravity, and redemption, discovering the meaning of pain as a process of sanctification, and perceiving suffering as the process of full recovery to come. Based on these two forms of underlying knowledge, the capacity of spiritual resilience made up of intellectual, emotional, and willful internal competencies and the capacity of the faith community, external competency. Finally, this study recommends a specific application of the concept of spiritual resilience in Christian education and counseling.

The post-harvest fungi is one of the greatest cause of various diseases. Particularly, in fungus that infects seeds, the toxic substance called aflatoxin is found. This has caused us to wonder: Has fungi been pathogenic fungi since the beginning of creation? The purpose of this research is to study: 1) The Place of Fungi in God’s Original Creation and the Origin of Pathogenic Fungi, 2) Characterization of post-harvest fungus on corn seeds, 3) Aspergillus sp.’s Structure as Proof of God’s Wonderful Original Creation and Providence, and 4) The factors that contribute to the growth of fungi in post-harvest corn seeds and our responsibility. We conclude that in the beginning, fungi were a part of God’s originally good and perfect creation. These fungi were created by God with the structure and function to support its operation in fulfilling God’s creative purpose. The complex structure of Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus flavus that infected the corn seeds showed God’s providence after the Fall. Pathogenic fungi were the result of the Fall of man into sin. Their growth is caused by the failure to give proper care to the crops. But this should not discourage us since the Bible tells us that God is continually working to restore His creation. Therefore, we are called to be stewards of His creation, to develop and preserve whatever is entrusted in our hands, including the crops for God’s glory and under His authority until He has fully renewed and restored everything.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Jamur pasca panen merupakan salah satu penyebab terbesar timbulnya berbagai penyakit, khususnya disebabkan oleh jamur yang menginfeksi biji-bijian dan menghasilkan substansi beracun disebut dengan aflatoksin.

The provision of clinical counseling within the context of a Christian worldview has profound meaning for those who seek education in Christian institutions. This phenomenology explored the essence of faith-informed clinical practice for experienced licensed professional counselors. The following six overarching themes emerged from interviews with 10 clinicians: Faith-Informed Clinical Practice Emerges from an Eternal Perspective, Distinct Aspirations of Faith-Informed Clinicians, The Clinician’s Inner World, Bi-directional Influences of Faith and Professional Development, Clinical Issues Specific to Faith-informed Practice, and Suggestions for Faith-Based Education. Recommendations include the replacement of integration studies with spiritual formation and a more holistic, practical, experiential, and spiritual approach to counselor training in faith-based institutions.

Today, Christianity is often described as a ‘worldview’, especially among Reformed evangelicals in the USA. In this article I return to the 1890 lectures where Scottish theologian James Orr adapted the concept ofWeltanschauungfor Christian purposes. Although it was coined by Immanuel Kant in 1790, and primarily used in subsequent decades to theorise cultural difference and evaluate aesthetic expression, Orr nevertheless claims that the idea of a worldview is ‘as old as the dawn of reflection’ and thus appropriate to articulating Christianity. I examine Orr's engagement with the Kantian and emerging historicist context, paying particular attention to his epistemological and aesthetic citations and showing how Orr both adopts and departs from the characteristic features of the Kantian subject. I conclude by assessing the philosophical and theological costs of this project that, among other things, positions Christianity for perpetual culture war within secular societies similarly shaped by the post-Kantian subject.

The current article sketches some peculiarities of the Christian worldview manifested as Roman Catholic, Protestant and Eastern Orthodox traditions shaped by unique social activities of nations and their luminous representatives. These three traditions are described as Roman Catholic (society which pleases God), Protestant (Professional calling from God) and Russian Orthodox (merge of religious and national identity). Traditions are characterized by illustrations from the key documents representing local peculiarities of the Christian mindset. Being mutually interactive, these vectors open up unlimited ways to carry out practical Christian ministry both within the Church and outside its walls at the same time acting as preconditions for Christian social teaching and development of caritative social work. This study is an analysis of Umberto Eco''s novel, 『The Name of the Rose』, about poetry, space and truth. To analyze the discourse of the novel, the time hierarchy was approached in depth by dividing it into objects and subjects, time and worldviews, viewing medieval monastery space as a symbol, and analyzing the semantic effects of Charles Sanders Peirce and Roland Gerard Barthes semiotics. In addition, the value system for truth was to be analyzed as a Algirdas Julien Greimas. As a result of the study, first, the time hierarchy provided various interpretation pleasure to the reader by placing symbols and symbols through the pastille technique. Second, the spatial symbols of the library were solemn and pious, but they appeared as symbols as closed spaces to distort truth and prevent access to truth. In particular, the complex maze had two sides: truth and cover-up by revealing the unique duality of monk life. Third, the analysis of the discourse on Clear, Heresy, and laughter showed that the value system of Truth projected into medieval society was still presented today as a discourse that distorts objects through power devices of knowledge and interferes with thought systems. This study is meaningful in expanding the discourse on truth by drawing readers to the worldview of today''s readers, not just from the medieval Christian worldview.

A recent report mentioned environmental concerns, including climate change, as the most likely threat to Earth in the 2020s. Therefore, there is a widespread perception that the problem of the environment today is not just a problem of any particular region or country, but also a problem of the future and the current problem that we live in today. Various concerns and studies on environmental issues have been conducted based on the Christian world view of creation, fall, and redemption within Christianity. These concerns began with the Catholic camp, but gradually efforts continue to link creation care with the gospel within Christianity, including the World Councils of Churches (WCC). Therefore, the study proposed as the following. First, a transition from environmental protection, or ecological conservation, to Life theology is needed. Second, a shift in the understanding of ecology looking at nature is needed. Third, at the Christian level, there should be a real recovery movement differentiated from secular environmentalism. Fourth, the church must wait for the second coming of Jesus and create a society that can realize a community with the real creation world.

This article combines historical and philosophical analysis to examine and critique the ideas motivating Christian conservative legal activism. Such activists routinely claim to be motivated by a Christian worldview, which they define as a comprehensive explanation of reality that determines all their thinking and action, including their legal activism and argumentation. Examination of the historical and philosophical roots of the concept of worldview identified by Christian thinkers reveals two understandings of the concept: an analytic tool for rationally comparing the evidence for different social philosophies, and a pre-theoretical lens that determines what counts as evidence in the first place. Christian conservatives have largely favored the first sense of worldview as a tool to understand issues like sexuality and gender identity in an essentialist way and to demonstrate with foundationalist logic the rational superiority of their legal conclusions about these issues. However, a comparison of the Christian conservative worldview and the queer theory worldview illustrates how this understanding of worldview as a tool fails because there is no neutral perspective outside of any worldview, from which one could examine and compare one to another. The idea of worldview as a pre-theoretical, historically, and socially contingent lens can be more productive. Embracing this notion of worldview in a personalist way is necessary to build a culture of dialogue that uses narrative to pursue the truth while also respecting and honoring the different perspectives from which these narratives are told.

50. New Testament Anthropology: Conscience as an Anthropological Phenomenon in the Context of the Epistles of St. Paul the Apostle
- Subjects
New Testament ,Pauline epistles ,Biblical studies ,media_common.quotation_subject ,Philosophy ,Christian anthropology ,Apostle ,Religious studies ,Morality ,Conscience ,media_common ,Christian worldview - Abstract
This article examines the New Testament teaching about man in the authentic epistles of Paul the Apostle. In particular, it studies the anthropological phenomenon of conscience as one of the important ethical terms in Christian worldview. In spite of the fact that this topic has been thoroughly investigated by Western biblical science, Russian theological environment has not been paying it sufficient attention. Therefore, from the position of theological and philological research within the framework of the historical and cultural approach, the article dwells on conscience expressed by Paul the Apostle through the term συνeίδησις in the epistles to the Corinthians and the Romans, whose authorship as St. Paul’s is unquestioned by modern biblical studies. The research shows that Paul the Apostle used the term συνeίδησις in a sense related to human awareness, without any explicit emphasis on morality as in the works by Stoic philosophers. For St. Paul, the term συνeίδησις in a general sense means an autonomous anthropological instance of a person’s judgеment/assessment of his/her own behaviour in relation to the norms, laws and rules adopted by him/her. However, depending on the historical circumstances in the life of Christian communities, Paul the Apostle gave this term his own semantic connotations. According to this research, in the text of the Pauline epistles συνeίδησις appears not only as a general anthropological phenomenon, but also as an independent (autonomous) personified witness to the truth, as an instance that checks the correspondence between the declared value norms in the mind and the person’s own behaviour. This instance reflects the mental activity of a conscious human as a person in any cultural and historical epoch regardless of his/her religious preferences.
