The need to study the concept of "politeness" from the point of view of its linguistic and cultural nature is caused by the desire to study the national identity of speech etiquette in different cultural spaces and conditions. The aim of the work was to form an idea about the specifics of the implementation and understanding of the concept of "politeness" in the Uzbek information field. In this study, the following methods were used: contextual, conceptual, communicative, linguocultural, analytical-synthetic, and comparative. This study is focused on the study of key lexical meanings (stylistically neutral and marked, basic and additional) that are within the functional-semantic field of the concept "politeness." With the help of contextual study of different variants of the use of the lexeme, the meanings were distributed in the conceptual structure (core, near and far periphery). Also, the key etiquette formulas representing the originality and national-specific features of the Uzbek linguocultural tradition were considered. The importance of politeness in the information space of Uzbekistan is assessed, including with the help of both positive and negative associations, that is, from an axiological point of view. Speech etiquette and linguistic formulas were considered from the point of view of the influence of social, cultural, and political values of the Uzbek people. In the process of analyzing the lexical layer, the boundaries of the functional-semantic field of the concept "politeness" were determined: from the principles of communication and a set of rules of etiquette to the strategy of obtaining benefits from communication and insincere attitude. In the future, this work can be used for comparative analysis of the conceptual structure of politeness with models presented in other close and distant languages, comparison of speech etiquette and linguistic formulas in different national cultures. In contrast with China's several millennia of civilization history, its history of civil law legislation had not started until the late Qing-Dynasty (1911). This discrepancy stood out prominently in the correlated areas of the family law and inheritance law due to China's cultural features and the compatible cultural awareness of its people, which had naturalized and legitimized their practices in both areas. Actually, in no other areas had the cultural consciousness, the deep-rooted cultural psychology and the consciousness-driven behavioral patterns of the Chinese families and individuals been more profoundly shaped by the rules of rites and etiquette, the ethical rules and the patriarchal clan system, central customary-legal elements enshrined in the Chinese history. As its key achievement, the legal modernization in the late Qing period (1902–1911) brought forth the Civil Code of the Qing- Dynasty (ZGE), the first such milestone in China's legal history, initiating the civil law legislation in China. With regard to China's special legal-historical and legal-cultural background, the drafters of the ZGE – especially its family and inheritance law – had to revolutionarily modernize the Chinese civil law, while at the same time, transferring certain traditional cultural legacies. This could not have been possible without adopting the German Civil Code (BGB) as the primary foreign codification model, especially from the legal-technical, legal-systematic and legal-dogmatic perspective. Ever since then, the evolution of the Chinese civil law has been closely connected with the adoption of the BGB, while the history of the former runs parallel to the history of the latter. The influences of the BGB on China's major civil law codifications, including also the Civil Code of the Republic of China (1929–1931) and the PRC Civil Code (2020), have been significant and continuous. It is legal-historically insightful to probe into these influences while examining the evolutionary history of the Chinese family and inheritance law ever codified since the ZGE, and, accordingly, retracing and closely analyzing the pre-modern state of both areas. Background: Chinese Martial Arts (CMAs) have garnered a global following, with their rich historical and cultural heritage transcending geographical and cultural differences, sparking profound interest among an international community. As an increasing number of non-Chinese individuals persist in practicing CMAs, investigating the motivations behind their continued participation has emerged as a compelling question. This study aims to delve deeper into the factors driving international practitioners to sustain their practice of CMAs, thereby broadening our understanding of the global resonance of CMAs. Methods: Employing Self-Determination Theory, 226 international CMAs practitioners completed the Physical Activity and Leisure Motivation Scale, Perceived Belonging Scale, and Persistence in Practicing CMAs Scale. SPSS 20.0 was utilized for conducting descriptive statistics, common method bias tests, and correlation analyses. Structural equation modeling was performed using AMOS 26.0. Results: Motivation for Practicing CMAs, comprised of enjoyment, mastery, physical condition, psychological condition, and appearance, has a positive impact on Persistence in Practicing CMAs (β = 0.297, p < 0.01). Sense of Belonging also positively affects Persistence in Practicing CMAs (β = 0.268, p < 0.01). The aforementioned variables account for 22.1% of the variance in Persistence in Practicing CMAs. Furthermore, Affiliation, Competition/Ego, and Others' Expectations were found to have no significant correlation with Persistence in Practicing CMAs. Conclusion: The formation of persistence in the practice of CMAs among international practitioners is propelled by their ongoing desire for skill mastery, enjoyment, enhanced physical and mental health, body shape improvement, and a Sense of Belonging. The study reveals that a stronger motivation and Sense of Belonging significantly enhance their commitment to CMAs. Recommendations include that international instructors should center their teaching strategies around the practitioners, helping them to find joy in their practice, achieve skill mastery, and foster the development of physical, mental, and aesthetic qualities, alongside virtues and etiquette. Additionally, building a supportive CMAs community and cultivating a sense of ritual are essential. Such strategies are intended to reinforce practitioners' self-affirmation and group identity, thus boosting their Sense of Belonging and encouraging their continued engagement in CMAs. After a hundred years of development, college Chinese has accumulated a large number of teaching materials which can be divided into four categories : literary language, cultural language, writing language and combined language. Regardless of the type, cultivating students' "one ability and two consciousnesses" should be regarded as the core concept followed in the construction of textbooks for this course. Facing the requirements of the construction of new liberal arts in the new era, aiming at the college students trained by the new curriculum standard of Chinese in middle school, it is believed that writing is the embodiment of the high-order function of Chinese teaching, so we should pay special attention to the cultivation of students' creative writing ability and advocate the creation and compilation of new interdisciplinary integrated and systematic textbooks : one is the integration of reading and creative writing, and the other is the integration of communication, etiquette, eloquence and applied writing. This study aims to address the hadith of the Qur'an about how to deal with the Holy Qur'an through the interpretation of “Shadows” by Sayyid Qutb. To achieve this, the researcher followed both (the inductive approach) by collecting Quranic verses that talk about how to deal with the Holy Qur'an, and then following the words of the author. (Shadows) on these (shadows) verses. This is followed by (the analytical approach) by analyzing those collected verses and finally (the deductive approach) by deducing the issues that appear in those studied verses related to the Qur'an's hadith about how to deal with it. The researcher reached several results, the first: paying attention to the Qur'an's explanation of how to deal with the Qur'an in order for the recitation of the Qur'an to be beneficial, to give its fruits through contemplation, and to be performed as the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, performed it. The second: Among the etiquette of dealing with the Holy Qur'an is purity, which includes all types of purity, then listening and being attentive to it, then seeking refuge before reading it, and finally: recitation when reciting it, which is reading slowly and slowly, without haste.

The followers of the Sufi path often associate their practices through the way of tariqa, particularly in their respect for the shaykh. However, there are those among them who take their reverence for the shaykh or guru to an excessive level. One form of homage is through kissing the feet. This action has become a debated issue on social media, leading to discussions and shifts within different factions. To what extent is the act of kissing the shaykh's feet rooted in and permitted by Islam? This paper aims to identify the relevant sources regarding the issue of kissing the shaykh's feet as a form of respect. The study takes a qualitative approach using library research and data analysis. The data is descriptively analysed thematically. The study's findings indicate that there is no valid evidence supporting the act of kissing the shaykh's feet as a basis for practicing proper etiquette towards the guru. Nevertheless, some scholars permit this act with the condition that it is not done in the manner of prostration and not frequently. However, the view that rejects it is stronger based on religious evidence and local customs. All parties should exercise caution and avoid excessive expressions of actions that could lead to forms of idolatry. Tourism and hospitality is a versatile and multicultural industry that comprises collaboration between members of different generations and cultures in creating and selling a tourism product. Business communication, including tourism and hospitality, does not refer only to business etiquette but is strongly rooted in culture, which influences people's interaction and way of speaking. Hence, intergenerational and intercultural communication problems are inevitable. The current research presents the main findings of an exploratory research conducted in tourism and hospitality enterprises in Latvia, Lithuania, and Sweden in the period of 2020–2023. To discover intergenerational and intercultural communication differences leading to communication problems, semi-structured expert interviews with top-level management representatives in twelve tourism and hospitality enterprises were conducted. The paper analyses intergenerational and intercultural communication problems in tourism and hospitality enterprises, in particular those concerning the use of different languages and ways of communication to suggest means of eliminating the existing problems. The research findings confirm that differences between generations had an impact on the communication process. However, the cultural background and languages influenced people's behaviour even more, and a great majority of conflicts arose because of difference in cultures, not generations. In the globalised world of the present, proficient communication skills are mandatory for technical students and professionals in order to succeed. As they grow from students into professionals, they soon realize that knowledge of a foreign language needs to be corroborated with increased accuracy and grasp of communicative conventions, organisational culture and business etiquette. The current paper seeks to investigate which aspects of business conventions might be useful for technical students to master so as to increase speaking power and improve communicative achievement in their future interaction with clients, peers and management structures as part of a technical organisation conducting business worldwide. Additionally, the paper will provide some practical techniques by means of which students can be helped to overcome their fear of speaking in public in English on a variety of technical topics pertaining to their job. This article proposes a critical dialogue between New Cultural History and the Glottopolitical perspective to examine the orthographic reforms of Sebastián Díaz (1741-1813), conceiving them as normative interventions. Through a language ideologies approach to the prologue of Díaz's encyclopedia, the analysis reveals that his orthographic reforms, which agree and conflict with the academic discourse of its time, are prescriptive practices that aimed to control the production and reception of conversation. This etiquette practice was an effect of encyclopedic instruction in early childhood, facilitated by a simplified orthography. We conclude that studying the encyclopedia was not just a means of Catholic and rational, but also linguistic disciplining. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Victorian era in Britain was characterized by an emphasis on "respectability" which formed a part of the domesticity ideology that treated the home as a place created for women. Proper, respectable behaviour was a function of belonging to the middle class. A significant number of savoir-vivre guides published contemporaneously informed the reader not only about receiving guests but also about courtship and marriage. The subject of the article is a close reading of these etiquette guides and the Englishwoman's Domestic Magazine letter section, which frequently addresses issues of courtship and marriage. The analysis of the texts using rigid gender roles as presented in the guides and the comparison of them with the letter section of the magazine shows that young readers expressed their independence and assertiveness in trying to contest these rules. The terms and definitions involved in the research paper have been analysed and divided into two semantic groups. A historical reference on the history of ethics formation as a science has been given. On its basis the current state of ethics and its problems have been formed. The main trends in the Internet advertising market have been analysed, as a result of which the main directions of development in the sphere and the problems arising from this have been determined. A semantic and structural analysis of the existing ethical codes of related fields has been carried out. As a result, existing shortcomings have been revealed. Based on the work done, a template has been proposed, which in the future can serve as a basis for creating similar models in other areas.

The article deals with the importance of future civil servants' business etiquette development as a component of their professional image. The aim of the article was to determine the role of future civil servants' business etiquette development as a part of professional image. The article examines the scholars' viewpoints on image, professional image and business etiquette. It has been noted that business etiquette concerns not only the norms and rules of behaviour, respect for others, but also speech culture. The courses of general and professional training are of great importance for the future civil servants' of business etiquette development, where a special place is given to the course "Image and Ethics in Public Administration". The authors note that in addition to lectures and practical classes, the students' independent work, the students' participation in scientific conferences, meeting with public figures (deputies, deputy mayors and territorial communities chairmen), the work of the academic group supervisor play and important role in future civil servants' business etiquette development. The article presents the role and significance of managerial skills in the management of innovative projects oriented toward mining machines and equipment for the underground exploitation of minerals. Based on the Authors' multi-year experience gained at the KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology, the shaping of managerial skills and impact techniques are described. Different aspects of impact techniques such as an auto presentation, a presentation, arts of negotiations and business etiquette are highlighted. Group dynamics, a process of team creation, sources of leader's knowledge, settlements of conflicts, "brain-storming", as well as methods of taking decisions are analysed from the perspective of successful management of innovative projects. Hughes, Mark Managing and Leading Organizational Change New York: Routledge, 2019, 354 pages Organizational change (OC) is complex and comes in many forms, typically affects more than one part of the organization, and requires resources and the ability to adapt to ambiguities and uncertainties. In the twelfth chapter, Hughes discusses the importance of communication during OC initiatives. He sets the stage by pointing out that there are many schools of thought and perspectives on OC, and that plenty of myths (i.e., popular beliefs or stories) can be found in the OC literature, some of which have been debunked over the years and alternative narratives ("realities") offered. I believe these are great questions to discuss in a final book chapter about OC because they can further stimulate the reader to not only critically evaluate the academic literature but also reflect on the practical implications of the link between myths and OC outcomes.
