Over 300 experts from different sectors attended the 15th annual Commodity Tax Symposium of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants last Sep. 1995 in Ottawa. Strategico CEO Gordon Ritchie delivered the keynote address which discussed the benefits Canada gained from the free trade agreement between Canada and the US. Luca Pacioli is known as 'the father of accounting.' Pacioli was a product of the Renaissance and also a major participant of the epoch. The Renaissance was a period when ideas in one discipline cross-fertilized another, and the foundation of all study was mathematics.
