滋賀県栗東市方言には、ハル、(ヤ)アル、ヤルという待遇表現形式が存在する。栗東市で言語形成期を過ごした筆者の内省と先行研究とでは、待遇表現形式の分布や形式的特徴に差異が見受けられた。本稿では筆者の内省をもとに、ハル、(ヤ)アル、ヤルの形式的特徴をまとめ、各形式の使い分けや機能を再検討し、次のことを述べた。先行研究の書かれた1980年代から現在までに、ハル、(ヤ)アル、ヤルの形式的特徴にはそれぞれ異なる変化が生じた。また、ハルは、話し手、聞き手、待遇の対象との間に心理的距離がある場合に用いられ、心理的距離を表す機能をもつこと、(ヤ)アルは、話し手や聞き手、コミュニティが待遇の対象に「強い親しみ」を感じる場合に用いられ、「強い親しみ」を表す機能をもつこと、ヤルは、ハルと(ヤ)アルの中間的な位置にあり、ハルや(ヤ)アルの代わりに用いることで、心理的距離や、「強い親しみ」を示すことを回避する機能をもつことを述べた。

現在、日本の大学の文科系学部では、日本語の基礎知識養成のため1年次生で日本語の基礎的項目に関する科目の設置を行うところが多くなっている。この科目は、表記面では漢字の読み書き、語彙面では漢語の語構成や熟語・慣用表現の学習、書記面では短文から手紙文・論説文の構成及び表現、運用の面では敬体や待遇表現のふさわしい使用等である。これらのうち、言語の誤用側面を考察した場合、最も顕著な誤用と判断されるものは謙譲語の誤用である。具体的には「（よろしければ）一つ頂いてください」「お求めすることが出来ます」などのもので、形態の丁寧さを優先し、自身を低め、自身の動作のみに使う謙譲語を相手に対する尊敬語として使用するという誤用である。これらは敬語の基本的な理解と形態及び構成に対する細かな不注意により起きる場合が多い。この敬語の形態及び構成の不注意に起因する謙譲語の誤用は、大学に在籍する学生だけではなく、一般社会における謙譲語の誤用としても幅広く観察される。本稿ではそうした誤用及び本学スポーツマネジメント学部に在籍する1年次生の謙譲語の正用・誤用の顕著な事例を観察し、有効な指導法となるものを探りたい。, Today, most universities in Japan offer subjects of Japanese literacy for first-year students in the liberal arts and humanities to learn the basics of Japanese. This kind of subject usually deals with written language （e.g., reading and writing Japanese kanji）, vocabulary （e.g., learning Sino-Japanese word structures, kanji compounds, and idioms）, writing techniques （e.g., writing short sentences and learning structures and expressions for essays and letters）, and Japanese language usage （e.g., learning the proper use of attitudinal expressions）. Particularly, the analysis of improper use of language shows that one of the most common mistakes is misusing kenjougo（ humble form）. More specifically, many students incorrectly use the humble form of verbs as their honorific form to express others’ actions. Although the humble form should be used to express the speaker’s actions instead of those of others, they pay no attention to this rule and just care about whether they use respectful language. This is generally caused by the lack of understanding of the basics of respectful language and the lack of attention to its forms and structure. This improper use of kenjougo due to inattention to the forms and structure of respectful language is commonly found not only among university students but also among all Japanese speakers. This study observes the above-mentioned incorrect use of kenjougo as well as notable examples of the proper and improper use of kenjougo by first-year students in the Faculty of Sport Management at our university to explore effective teaching methods.

特に若年層において、自身の敬語の使用能力に自信を持てていない人が多いと言われて久しい。しかし、小学校の高学年の段階で、「現状でも実は、ある程度の敬語（～てくれませんか・～てもらえませんか等）は使用できているのだ」という点について、もう少し評価されても良いように考えられる。本授業実践では、待遇表現の枠組みに基づき、メタ言語的に確認することを敬語学習の出発点にすることで、児童が、より自信を持って自発的にその後の敬語学習に取り組んでいけるのではないか、と考えた。そのために、小学生にとっても身近で考えやすい、依頼場面に焦点を当て、まずは5年生の時点で、敬語を使用しない丁寧な表現（～て・～てくれない・～てもらえない等）における使い分けについての授業実践を行った。次いで5年生で授業を受けた同じ児童が6年生になった時点で、5年時の授業とは、異なる依頼場面を取り上げ、敬語表現（～てくださる・～ていただく系）を中心とした各表現の使い分けについて授業実践を行った結果、両授業における各成果3点と両授業に共通する成果1点、並びに課題点5点が確認された。

本研究は、日本語の待遇表現の一つである「～(さ)せていただく」を取り上げ、Searle(1979)の発話行為理論という理論的な枠組みを用いて考察したものである。「～(さ)せていただく」は、その使用の拡張と共に様々な用法があることが知られており、考察が行われてきている。しかし、ほとんどの研究が特定の理論的な枠組みを仮定せず、用法の特徴を直感的に記述しているものであり、その分析結果もそれぞれであった(菊地 1997、茜 2002、宇都宮 2005 など)。 そこで、本研究では、理論的な枠組みとして Searle(1979)の発話行為理論を用いて、「～(さ)せていただく」が共起する文の発語内行為という観点から分析した。その結果、Searle(1979) が提案した 5 つの発語内行為のうち、「～(さ)せていただく」は、断定型、指示型、拘束型、宣言型の 4 つの発語内行為と共起することが明らかになった, This study examines the Japanese procedural phrase "～(sa)sete itadaku" by utilizing the theoretical framework of Searle's (1979) speech act theory. Although previous studies have considered the various usages of "～(sa)sete itadaku" and the extent of their usage, most of these studies intuitively described the features of usage without assuming any specific theoretical framework, leading to different results of their analysis (Kikuchi, 1997; Ayane, 2002; and Utunomiya, 2005). Therefore, this research employs Searle’s (1979) speech act theory as a theoretical framework to analyze the illocutionary acts co-occuring in utterances in which the "～(sa)sete itadaku" phrase is used. Analysis from this viewpoint revealed that of the five illocutionary acts classified by Searle (1979), the procedural phrase "～(sa)sete itadaku" was found to co-occur in the following four illocutionary acts: assertives, directives, commissives and declarations

Wushan Lianruo Xinxue Beiyong （五杉練若新學備用）, edited by Yingzhi during the Southern Tang Dynasty, comprises three volumes in total, the second of which includes both letters and explanatory notes （論書題高下）, to shed light on the expressions used to show the writer's respect for the receiver in the Buddhist community. This paper includes Japanese translations of the text as well as linguistic or philological analysis.

大阪府を中心とする近畿方言には，「親愛の情を表す」とされるヤルという素材待遇形式がある。本稿では，待遇表現が話し手による関係把握の表現であるという立場に立ち，大阪府八尾市方言話者のデータをもとに，ヤルの〈機能〉を明らかにした。すなわち，ヤルは，話題の人物が話し手と〈ウチ〉の関係にあり，聞き手もまたその〈ウチ〉の関係にあるという話し手の認識を表す。このような，素材に言及することで聞き手との〈ウチ〉の関係を示すヤルの〈機能〉は，ハルをはじめ，対象を遠隔化する〈機能〉のみを持つ日本語の敬語の中において注目に値する。

国立国語研究所 コーパス開発センター 非常勤研究員, Adjunct Researcher, Center for Corpus Development, NINJAL, 本稿では,『虎明本狂言集』における動詞「と思ふ」および「と存ず」の使用状況について,主として話者や場面の側面から,国立国語研究所の『日本語歴史コーパス 室町時代編』の一部として公開されている『虎明本狂言集』のデータを利用して調査した。『虎明本狂言集』では基本的に話手の立場が聞手と同等以下の場合は「と存ず」が,話手の立場が聞手と同等以上の場合は「と思ふ」が用いられる。これは中世軍記物語と同様の傾向であるが,『虎明本狂言集』では目上の聞手に対しても「候」を伴わない「と存ずる」の形が用いられる点が異なる。また,観客への配慮表現として,名乗りや独白等の場面においても「と存ず」が用いられることが多い。男性話者に比べ女性話者は「と思ふ」を使用する傾向があり,これも『虎明本狂言集』における「と思う」の特徴といえる。, This paper discusses the usage of to omou and to zonzu in Toraakira-bon Kyogensyuu, from the point of view of the speaker and the situation, by using data from the Muromachi period series of the Corpus of Historical Japanese built by the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics. Analysis shows that to omou is predominantly used toward a listener of lower or equal status. On the other hand, to zonzu is used toward a listener of higher status and in self-introduction and monologues to express respect for the audience. In addition, females tend to use to omou more than males. In addition, the social and cultural differences are also big between the two sides and their linguistic and cultural Aspects and the social aspects are in a strong and close relation, which generates many characteristic features. One the featured topics that is representing language and society interrelation is the theme of “Personal Pronouns and forms of address". The author has a big interest on this theme and on making a comparison study between Japanese and Arabic about it.In this paper, the author is trying to make a brief introduction about the Arabic language and its personal pronouns, with a focus on the forms of address and their politeness usage and features, by introducing some practical and analyzed examples in Egyptian Arabic language.

本稿では、滋賀県長浜市方言の待遇表現形式の使い分け意識に関する調査結果から、（Ⅰ）-(r)are-やirassjar-といった標準語形式は中心部のみで使用され、農村部では使用されないこと、（Ⅱ）標準語形式と同様に、-(ja)har-は中心部でのみ使用され、さらに女性のみが使用する形式であるといった地域差について指摘を行なった。また、（Ⅲ）-(ja)Ns-は対者待遇に比べて第三者待遇で多く使用され、中心部においても用いられることや、（Ⅳ）-(ja)ar-も-(ja)Ns-と同様に対者待遇と比べると第三者待遇での使用が増加し、-(ja)ar-によって待遇される対象の範囲が広くなること、（Ⅴ）-jor-は男性が第三者待遇で使用する形式であることなど、性差や運用の傾向について述べた。さらに、長浜市方言で用いられる待遇表現形式の使用対象についてまとめ、滋賀県甲賀郡八田方言および京都市方言における使い分けとの比較から、長浜市方言の待遇表現形式の意味・機能および運用のあり方が、第三者偏用の傾向をみせる形式がありつつも、対者待遇・第三者待遇ともに対人関係表示の機能を持っているといった点で両方言の中間的位置に位置づけられることについて述べた。

本稿では日本語学習者に対する待遇表現の指導の立場から、各々の発話例についてその問題点、望ましい言い方、日本語指導上の留意点について具体的に示した。

The understanding of the learning subjects that is considered students should learn in an early stage has a basic consistency between teachers and teaching materials however no specific command of that has been given. In order to discover the command of learning subjects necessary for the early learners, this writing takes up the request expression of “~te kudasai” (please do~) and analyzes from two sides; the human relationship of the communicators such as hierarchy and the strength of the friendship, and the cost that the person who received the request needs to take, using the conversation written in elementary level Japanese textbook as the investigation object. As a result of the investigation, we found that it is important for the students in first half of the elementary level to be able to understand that “~te kudasai” has the “request” function and is used in situations when people ask requests. For the students in the second half of the elementary level, they need to be able to understand the “request” function in the word and be able to use it when they ask a small cost request. They also need to understand that the word is also often used as “order” and be able to differentiate this word from other requests words in different situation to not to be excuse to people, considering the hierarchical relationship and the size of cost.

韓国語と日本語は語順がほぼ同じで、文法も類似しており、中高年層の韓国語学習者も少なくない。中高年層の多くが好きな映画やドラマの内容を韓国語で知りたいと望んでいるようだが、筆者が教えている大多数の大学生も会話主体の韓国語の学習を強く希望している。ところで、韓国語には、格式体表現と非格式体表現があり、映画やドラマなどでは､後者の非格式体表現､つまり会話体の打ち解けた言い方である「パンマル」体が非常に多く使われている。しかし、最近日本の一部の著書において、この韓国語の「パンマル」と日本語の「ためロ」がまるで同一であるかのように扱われていることがよくある。本稿では、この安易な同一視から生じる誤解や混乱を避けるため、まず韓国語における「パンマル」の概念を明確にし、次に日本語の「ためロ」に関する一般的概念を、筆者が実施したアンケート調査を基に明らかにして、その基本的な違いを比較する。その上で､｢パンマル｣を含めた待遇表現の指導方法を提示する。, The similarity between Korean and Japanese languages as seen in word order and grammar seems to prompt many Japanese persons of middle and advanced age to try to have quick access to Korean in a hope to appreciate their favorite Korean movies or T.V. programs. Also, almost all of my students in my college classes express their wish to study daily or conversational Korean language for the similar purposes. In fact, there are two types of expressions in Korean, formal and informal or conversational Korean. The latter is called the ban-mal style and it is the expression which is widely used in the movies or T.V. program. In Japan, however, some language books on Korean equate ban-mal to Japanese tame-guchi, or gangsters' jargons adopted by youngsters of certain groups in the 1970's. This paper aims at pointing out basic differences between ban-mal and tame-guchi in order to minimize confusions or misunderstandings caused by this unjustifiable identification.\nThe writer conducted a questionnaire research to find out how widely tame-guchi is used or recognized in Japan. 英語の法助動詞(modals)は日本では文法事項として指導されているが、語用論的機能については英会話の中で触れられる程度で終わることが多く、真にそれらがどのような使われ方をしているかにまでは及んでいないと思われる。 本論文ではブラウンとレビンソンのポライトネス理論に基づき、ネガティブ・ポライトネスの代表とされる「慣用的間接表現」に使われる法助動詞をコーパスのデータによって分析する。特に「依頼表現」に焦点を当てて、それらの表現がもつ意味と機能を日本語の敬語と比較しながら議論する。英語母語話者は「依頼」を「フェイス侵害行為」(FTA)と捉えているために、相手の「領土への侵害」を緩和することを第一の目標として、modalsを含む慣用的間接表現を使用している。日本語の敬語にも類似の表現があるが、それは対話者間の上下関係を明示するためで、行為自体を問題としない点で、英語の敬意表現とは鋭く対立する。

本稿では、「ええ」の持つ待遇表現の機能について考察する。先行研究(北川1973、日向1980)では「はい」は「認知」、「ええ」は「同意」の機能であるとする。この基本的な違いを踏まえ、「はい」のみ使える文例、「はい」「ええ」が共に使用可能な文例について分析し、「はい」との比較を通して「ええ」の機能について考察した。その結果、「はい」「ええ」の使い分けには話者が共有する情報の度合いが深く関与していることが分かった。共有する情報の度合いは話者間の関係を決定づけ、親疎・待遇関係へと密接に関わっていると考えられる。「ええ」を使うためには話者間での情報の共有が前提となる。情報の共有がなければ同意することはできない。また同意表明のためには相手の発話内容を評価・判断する過程を経なければならない。この為「ええ」によって相手との距離が縮まり同等感が出る。従って「ええ」は自己の主張・感情を積極的に表明する応答であり、「ええ」での応答は話者間の情報共有を表明し、相手に対し自らを同等な立場に位置づけると考えられる。故に不適切に「ええ」を使えば親近感・同等感を超えて相手に失礼な印象を与える可能性もある。よって、このような相違点について、適宜、現場の指導に織り込んでいくことも有意だと考えられる。, This paper examines the function of "ee" in terms of honorific expressions. Precedent studies (Kitagawa 1973, Hinata 1980) define "hai" as "recognition response" and "ee" as "agreement response." Based on this definition, this paper analyzes two dialogue patterns: dialogues in which only "hai" is used and those in which both "hai" and "ee" are used Through this analysis, we examine the function of "ee" in comparison with that of "hai." As a result of the analysis, we found that the degree of shared information between speakers is crucially relevant in terms of deciding the usage of "hai" and "ee." The degree of shared information determines the relationship and degree of formality between the speakers. In order to use "ee," speakers must share information since it is not possible to express agreement without shared information. Furthermore, in order to express agreement, speakers must undergo the process of evaluation and judgment for what they hear. Therefore, the utterance of "ee" reduces the distance between speakers and consequently, reveals a sense of equality. As a result, we conclude that the function of "ee" as a response that actively expresses the speaker' s opinion and feeling, enables the sharing of information between speakers, and places them in an equal position with respect to the other. An inappropriate usage of "ee" may lead to excessive closeness and equality, and may consequently give negative impressions. It is considered to be meaningful to incorporate these points into classroom teaching.

開催地：国立国語研究所 会期：平成10年12月14日（月）-15日（火）, (1)社会言語学・言語行動研究の領域で敬語や待遇表現の調査研究を進めていると，一般の回答者が，狭義の敬語だけでなく，より幅広い範囲の敬意の表現を意識しているらしいことがしばしば観察される。 (2)たとえば，他人に何かを依頼する際に，依頼する理由や事情を言い添えるか，依頼する際の時間帯や媒体のことを断りとして言い添えるかなど，依頼表現全体の話の組み立て方という点に，敬語についてと同様の対人的な配慮が観察される。 (3)面接調査の質問や回答結果によって検討すると，そのような表現を言い添えることが表現の丁寧さや相手への配慮を支えるという意識の存在することが，成人だけでなく高校生という若年層にも指摘できる。また，敬語形式の使い方から見て丁寧な表現には，こうした言い添えが現れやすいという関連も指摘できる。 (4)そのような表現の内容を検討すると，単に言語形式・言語表現としての敬語や待遇表現だけでない，言語行動としての待遇表現の広がりが見えてくる。 (5)こうした論点の広がりは，学校教育の場や国語審議会の議論の中にもすでに指摘される。この視点に立った敬語・待遇表現研究が，今後とも展開されるべきである。, application/pdf, 国立国語研究所

「待遇表現」は, 基本的に次のような「表現主体の表現行為」であると規定することができる.ある「表現主体」が, ある「表現意図」を持つ→「自分」・「相手」・「話題の人物」相互の「人間関係」を認識し, 情況・雰囲気・文脈などの「場」を意識する.→「表現形態」(「音声表現形態」あるいは「文字表現形態」)を考慮する→以上の制約に応じた「題材」・「内容」, 適当な「言材」を選択し, 「文話」(「文章」・「談話」)を構成し, 「媒材」化(「音声」化あるいは「文字」化)する「待遇表現研究」は, 上の規定に従って進められるわけだが, 表現行為としての待遇表現を分析的に捉えると同時に, 分析された諸要素が相互にどのような関係を持ちつつ, その表現行為を成立させているのかを追究することが重要である.以上のように捉えた「待遇表現研究」は, 単なることばの研究というのではなく, 「丁寧さ」や「コミュニケーション」の問題を明らかにすることにもつながると考えている.

An analysis cencerning the address terms of Japanese is made by examining their usages in “Sazae－san”， a TV program where we can find plenty ef examples of modern Japanese． lt reveals the following sociolonguistic rules on how to address others．（1）The Japanese makes a distinction between superiers and inferiors． As the reflection of this fact， k （kinship terms） and T （titles） are used for the former， FN （first name） and LN（last name）for the latter． Furthermore， K and T are used non－reciprocally， that is，those who give K （T） to the addressee receive FN （LN）， while between equals FN and LN can be used reciprocally．（2） The Japanese also makes a distinction between in－group membership and out－group one． An important criterion for the distinction is the relationship. K and FN are used for the in－group members， T and LN for the out－group ones．Nevertheless， when the intimacy increases in the dyad， T can be replaced by LN in （1），LN by FN in （2） resulting in the reciprocal usage in both cases．
