Fundamental motor skills (FMS) are defined as a standard motor activity that forms the basis for more advanced and more specific motor activities. Mastering FMS allows good preconditions for the successful realization of specific motor skills. Although FMS is acquired through the development process, it has been shown that not only free play stimulates their development, but also quality instruction is necessary. There are different classifications of FMS and the prevailing opinion is that FMS can be divided into two categories: basic locomotor skills and manipulative skills. Measuring instruments for assessing FMS can be divided into tests that are focused on the quantification of performance and the quality of performance. For the purpose of this research, the qualitative test "Test of Gross Motor Development - 2" was used. Some research suggests that there are significant differences in FMS between genders ; however, it is not yet clear to what extent children's activities affect the above mentioned differences. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine gender differences in manipulative and locomotor FMS as well as differences between basic locomotor and manipulative skills in boys and girls attending athletic sports school.

The main purpose of this research was to determine difference in kicking velocity between players of different age and players of the same age, but different biological age in futsal. The research was conducted on 40 young players ranging in age between 12 and 15, that play for MNK „Vrgorac“ from Vrgorac. All the subjects have been divided into U13 and U15, inside of each age are 2 groups based on biological age. Kicking speed has been analyzed based on biological age. All the subjects have been submitted to a series of 12 tests that evaluate kicking velocity of different kicking techniques. Preferred and non-preferred leg was measured in all subjects by Pocket radar. The results have shown difference between both groups in all kick types in favor of biologically more mature players. In this study biologically older futsal players performed faster kicks.

Objective: The objectives of this study were: a) to examine the influence of an 18-week basic artistic gymnastics program on fundamental movement skills (FMS) development in seven-year-old children ; b) to compare children’s daily activities with successful performance of FMS and basic artistic gymnastics skills. Method: Seventy five first grade primary school children took part in this study. A PE teacher specialized in artistic gymnastics conducted a gymnastics program for 18 weeks, three times a week. The level of gymnastics skills and FMS were identified at the beginning and at the end of the program. The FMS-polygon was previously validated with the Test for Gross Motor Development (TGMD-2). Physical activity and inactivity was evaluated by using a proxy-questionnaire “Netherlands Physical Activity Questionnaire˝ (NPAQ). Findings: According to the dependent samples t test, significant differences were found in the FMS-polygon and all gymnastics skills before and after the 18-week gymnastics program. Increasing correlations were established over time between gymnastics skills and the FMS-polygon. Unorganized daily activity of children significantly correlated with their mastering of gymnastics skills and FMS. The presented findings confirm: (1) the thesis that basic artistic gymnastics skills and FMS could be developed simultaneously, (2) the theory of positive transfer of similar skills between FMS and artistic gymnastic skills. Conclusion: Mastering basic artistic gymnastics skills will provoke improvement of FMS and finally become a prerequisite for successful introduction of learning more complex gymnastics skills. The obtained results imply that an increase of children’s unorganized daily activities can improve the mastering of basic gymnastics skills and simultaneously the development of FMS.

The study was conducted on a sample of 70 girls, aged 11 (±6 months), fifth grade students of elementary school who, in addition to regular physical education classes, practiced judo and track and field during a nine month period. A subsample of 35 subjects, besides regular physical education classes, practiced judo for 45 minutes once a week, while another subsample of 35 subjects, besides regular physical education classes, practiced track and field in the same extent. Twelve measuring instruments were used for assessing basic motor abilities. There were no statistically significant differences found by canonical discriminant analysis between the groups in the initial testing. By analyzing the final measurement, significant differences were found between the two groups in the space of motor abilities. Significant differences between the analyzed groups in the final measurement primarily generated variables for assessing: explosive leg power, coordination, flexibility, repetitive strength and agility. Subjects in the experimental judo group were superior in variables standing long jump (MSDM), seated straddle reach (MPRR), inlocate (MISK) and arm plate tapping (MTAP) ; while the experimental track and field group had better results in the crossed-arms sit-ups variable (MDTR).

Spirometry, GPS, training - Abstract
Th e fi rst ideas for windsurfi ng have occurred as far back as 1935 years in California (Winner, 1995). Today surfi ng has developed into a prestigious sport and 1984. becomed Olympic sport (En gels, 1983). Today it is a sport that involves not only physical skills but also very sophisticated equi pment that enables sailors to perform various stunts and achieve enviable speed on the water. Th ere are many racing disciplines such as(Allen GD: 1989): free style, speed and jumping dis ciplines (Cortell-Tormo, 2010). GPS challenge is the speed events. Sailors are sailing at a speed of about 50 km / h. and it require high aerobic endurance. Aerobic capacity is functional ability, which complements the work of the heart, lungs and transfer oxygen to the cells. Ventilation of the lungs allows for the exchange of gases between the external environment (atmosphere) and alveolar spa ces of the lungs, and vice versa. Sport has a positive impact on the ventilation value and changes are most pronounced during childhood and adolescence (Dal Monte, 1983). Training (Cuurteix, 1997 ; Mehrotra, 1997), a training stimulus (Jeliči, 2000) and time spent in the training process (oak ; 2008) aff ect the development of static and dynamic lung volumes and capacities. Th ere is an increasing interest coaches and doctors for bronhosazam ( EIB ) ( Storms, 2003). It occurs usually after intense physical activity ( Rundell, 2003). Typical symptoms of EIB are cough, chest tightnes during physical activity ( Sinha, 2003 ; Hermansen, 2004). Th e appearance of the EIB occurs in 90 % of patients suff ering from asthma ( Rupp, 1996). On the other hand disorder at the level of the airway is common in athletes, although its prevalence is not known. When basketball is 12% (Weiler, 1986), 26 % in runners ( Helenius, 2000), 35 % with the slider, to 55 % in cross-country skiing ( Larsson, 1993). We see that the EIB is more common in a population of athletes than is clini cally recognized. In relation to professional athletes, amateur athletes are at greater risk of disorders in the airways of the total population (Kippelen, 2004). Bronchospasm may adversely aff ect the level of physical ability, and thus the quality of life. Th e aim of the research is to determine whether discipline “GPS challenge“, can cause signi fi cant changes in spirometry, which would be positive for the occurrence brohospazma in making (EIB). Further, determine the percentage of surfers who are suff ering from the above.

Effects of physical activity on psychological health and well-being have been intrigued topic for many researches (McAuley & Courneya, 1994). Also, the positive subjective experience lies in the basis of every successful recreational activity and training. However, the influence of different types of activities and their gender specifics regarding self-reported well-being have not yet been investigated. The aims of this study were: (1) to analyses gender differences before and after physical activity in “Subjective Exercise Experience Scale“(SEES) in group of subjects involved in aesthetic and non-aesthetic recreational physical activities and (2) to determine differences between subjects involved in aesthetic and non-aesthetic recreational physical activities before and after the activity for female and male group separately. The SEES was used to assess psychological responses to exercise among female (N=32) and male (N=83) recreational athletes. The 12 items of SEES represented three- aspects of exercise experience: Positive Well- Being, Psychological Distress and Fatigue. The results showed significant gender differences only in non-aesthetic group before and after physical activity in Psychological Distress subscale. Female students (Mean=4.8) had lower values of Psychological Distress than Male students (Mean=6.9). Furthermore, female aesthetic group (Mean=24.4) had significantly higher values in Positive Well-Being subscale after physical activity than female nonaesthetic group (Mean=18.8), while male aesthetic group had significantly higher values in Positive Well-Being subscale before and after physical activity than male non-aesthetic group. It is possible to conclude that aesthetic activities have positive effect on both female and male sample. It is possible that music increased emotionally experienced activity and contributed to better physical well being especially among female recreational athletes.

physical activity ,university curricula - Abstract
The study was conducted to investigated the effects of different types of physical activities on male and female university students (N= 115) affective states. Among well-known measures for assessing both negative and positive affective states (Rejeski et al 1987 ; Watson et al 1988 ; McAuley & Courneya, 1994) the Subjective Exercise Experience Scale SEES were chosen because of relative shortness and satisfactory metric characteristics. SEES is a questionnaire developed by McAuley and Courneya (1994) to assess psychological responses to exercise composed of 12 items chosen to assess three-aspects of exercise experience: Positive Well-Being ; Psychological Distress and Fatigue. The aim of the study was to identify the differences in SEES subscales in group of university students involved in dance and athletic activities separately by gender. The subjects were divided in four subgroups: female (N=10) and male (N=38) university students involved in dance classes and female (N=22) and male (N=45) university students involved in athletic (track and field) classes. Scores on SEES were collected prior and after a vigorous exercise trial. T-test for dependent groups was used to determine the differences between groups before and after physical activity in SEES subscales: fatigue, positive well-being and psychological distress. The results obtained in positive well being subscale were significantly higher after physical activity (Mean = 23.4) than before physical activity (Mean = 20.7) for male and female students only in dance activity group. Also, the results in fatigue subscale were significantly better after physical activity (Mean = 8.1) than before physical activity (Mean = 10.3) for both gender only in dance activity group. Significant differences before and after physical activity for SEES subscales in athletic group were not found. In spite of general opinion that male students did not enjoy dance classes, the results obtained suggested that dance classes affect positively both female and male university students. It is possible that music increased emotionally experienced activity and contributed to better physical well being and decreased sensation of fatigue in dance group.

The aim of this research was to determine gender differences in fundamental movement skills acquisition under the influence of a specialized gymnastics treatment. A total of 58 preschool children took part in this research and were divided in two groups (34 boys and 24 girls). „Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency 2“(BOT-2) for fundamental movement skills assessment was administered prior to and after the 10-week gymnastics treatment. Results showed initial differences between genders where girls outperform boys in 5 out of 8 variables while the final testing showed differences only in the balance and running speed and agility tests in favor of girls. It can be concluded that the treatment was not adequate for the girls and that they could not fully improve their level of fundamental movement skills. The difference probably occurred because of the different type of activities that boys and girls practice in their free time.

This research was done to determine the correlation among the motor abilities and success of kinesiology freshmen in the javelin throwing. The total number of participants (N=53) was divided in two groups. The first group (N=34) was a group of students who did not have a sufficient knowledge of javelin throwing, while the second group (N=19) was a group of students who had the good demonstration of the javelin throwing knowledge. The motor abilities were determined by tests of the assessment of speed, explosive and maximum strength. A correlation among the motor abilities and results in javelin event was determined by using standard correlation analysis. According to the obtained results, we can make the conclusion that the motor abilities (starting acceleration and explosive strength) have the significant impact on the results of criterion variable only between the students whose knowledge of the javelin throwing is at the high level.

In this paper we studied and compared the effects of nine-month of physical training. For this purpose we studied 7-year-old-boys participating in 9-month-training in soccer, track and field and judo, and non-additionally physically engaged same aged controls. Experimental programs consisted of 3 times 45 minutes additional weekly exercise programs. The morphological measures and motor-endurance changes and differences were studied. No significant differences were found between the groups at the study's entry, excepting 20M, where track and field group was superior compared to control group. All the experimental programs led to more significant improvements in some anthropological characteristics, than control group. In conclusion, it is hard to rank the experimental programs regarding the multidimensional implications on some anthropological characteristics. It is much more appropriate to conclude that each program assured a specific influence on some anthropological characteristics variables, highly important in the particular sport which was performed.

The basic aim of this research was construction and validation of the instrument for fundamental motor skills assessment in second-grade children. The sample consisted of 95 children (48 boys and 47 girls) in the age of eight. All participants were subdued to the 24 newly constructed motor tests, 3 tests for morphologic status assessment, 3 tests that measure motor and functional abilities, 1 test for fundamental motor skills assessment (Test of Gross Motor Development – TGMD-2), and a physical activity questionnaire. To fulfill the set aims and test the hypothesis certain methods were used: analysis of variance and covariance, correlation and multiple regression analysis. According to the obtained results the following conclusions can be made: All the tests for assessing the level of fundamental motor skills have satisfactory metric characteristics; The values indicate a high level of reliability, sensitivity and validity of the newlyconstructed test; The absence of gender differences can be justified by the fact that the new polygon has a single test measuring the manipulative part of the fundamental motor skills; The absence of significant correlations between organized physical activities and fundamental motor skills demonstrates that children that spend more time in organized activities are not necessarily better in fundamental motor skills performance; The amount of sedentary activities is not significantly correlated with fundamental motor skills in both boys and girls; Locomotor and manipulative fundamental motor skills, flexibility, explosive strength and endurance and body height are significantly correlated with the new polygon in boys while flexibility and body height do not have the same significant connection in girls; Explosive strength and endurance are significant predictors for polygon performance in both genders while body height is a significant predictor only in boys’ population. These results show that girls with endurance and strength have higher results in the new polygon and the boys have to be higher and with endurance and strength also to succeed.

V skladu z raziskovalnimi cilji smo raziskovali odnos morfološko-gibalnih spremenljivk z rezultati meta žogice v obeh skupinah dečkov. Podatki so bili obdelani z regresijsko analizo.

The goal of this research was to establish the effects of two experimental models for motor skill learning in the acquisition of skills from the field of athletic throws (Discus Throw, Shot Put and Javelin Throw). The sample of subjects has been represented by 47 students of the first year of undergraduate kinesiology studies divided into the E1 (N=24) and E2 (N=23) groups. The E1 group has acquired their throwing skills through blocked practicing and the E2 group through random practicing in 12 classes of experimental work. The results given by a multivariate analysis of variance show that both ways of practicing significantly influenced the level of acquisition of the Discus Throw, Shot Put and Javelin Throw skills. However, the random way of practicing also enables a longer retention of the acquired specific skills.

A sample of 125 seven-year-olds was tested using six morphological and eight motor-ability variables with purpose of analyzing the integration of explosive strength of throwing. Sample was split in two groups: experimental (E ; N=68) and control group (C ; N=57). Boys of E group attended three hours of Physical Education class per week as well as three additional sixty-minute periods of athletic training over a period of nine months. C group attended regularly scheduled Physical Education classes only. In coordination with the research goal, relationships of morphological-motor variables with distance ball-throw result as a criterion were analyzed for both E and C groups. Data was processed using regression analysis. Results have clearly shown that values of criterion variable grew and that predicting criteria by applied group of variables gave improved results in final rather than initial measurement. Growth and development, as well as secondary kinesiologic engagement of children contributed to superior results. Resulting integration of ball throwing in E group was higher than the one in C group, due to higher kinesiologic engagement as well as application of wide array of kinesiologic operators used in athletic school.

seven year old boys ,kinesiological engagement ,athletic training ,motor abilities - Abstract
The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effects of the nine-month additional athletic training on motor and endurance status (ME) in 7-yer-old-boys. Altogether 129 boys, weredivided into experimental (E ; N = 76), and control group (C ; N = 53). The C group participated in the regular physical education curriculum, while their E peers were included in the additional 3-times-week-60 min athletic training. The ME was observed using the 12 standard tests before (I) and after the nine-month-study-period (II). Multivariate and univariate analysis of the variance found significant I-II changes for each group, while analysis of the covariance defined the E program as more superior than the C program. Although combination of the developmental changes and PE curriculum influenced ME status of the C group significantly, the additional exercising throughout the track and field program additionally positively influenced most of the ME capacities in 7-year-old. Positive changes are mostly observable in the function of the mechanism of the movement regulation, as well as in the function of the mechanism of the energetic regulation. In conclusion, (1) it can be defined that for the 7-year-old boys regular participation in the PE classes do not provide adequate stimulus to achieve adequate effects on growth and development and consequently on health status, and (2) additional physical exercising for such and age is highly recommended.

The aim of the study was to assess the impact of motor abilities and morphological characteristics on junior judoka performance. A set of 14 morphological parameters and a set of 14 motor tests as predictor variables, and 3 variables evaluating judo performance as criteria were applied in a sample of 40 judoists aged 17 years +/-6 months. Three factors were isolated by factor analysis in morphological area: factor of muscle mass and bone volume (muscle and bone mass mesoectomorphy), factor of longitudinal skeleton dimensionality, and factor of subcutaneous adipose tissue (endomorphy). Four factors were isolated by factor analysis in motor area: factor of coordination and strength (regulated force), factor of movement frequency (speed), factor of muscular and cardiovascular endurance (endurance), and factor of tonus regulation and synergy regulation (flexibility/balance). Canonical correlation analysis between latent morphological and motor variables, and variables for assessment of competitive performance of junior judoists yielded two linear combinations, i.e. two pairs of canonical factors. Correlation in the first pair of canonical factors was underlain by the favorable impact of coordination/strength, speed, flexibility and balance, along with above-average muscle mass and bone volume, and above-average skeleton longitudinality on performance in judo. Correlation in the second pair of canonical factors was based on positive determination of above-average endurance along with moderate coordination/strength and speed, and below-average muscle mass and bone volume and skeleton longitudinality upon judo performance as expressed by the fight winning score.

In this paper we studied the effects of nine months of physical training by comparing seven-year-old boys participating in the 9-month-training in soccer, track-and-field and judo, with non-additionally physically engaged same-aged controls. The experimental programmes consisted of additional 45-minute exercise routines 3 times weekly. The morphological measures, motor-endurance changes and differences were studied. No significant differences were found between the groups at the study's onset, except in the 20m dash, where the track-and-field group was superior to the control group. All the experimental programmes led to significant improvements in some anthropological characteristics among the participants compared to the control group. In conclusion, it is difficult to rank the experimental programmes in terms of multidimensional implications on some anthropological characteristics. It is much more appropriate to conclude that each programme had a specific influence on the variables of some anthropological characteristics that are highly important in a particular sport. Ta suradnja bicikliste/biciklistice sa trenerom i znanstvenikom čini biciklizam još zanimljivijim, a elitnog biciklistu još više efektivnim., The purpose of this final work on my faculty was to get the point of cycling community, of what is needed to become an elite cyclist. First of all, the person needs to be tested to get the classification, weather is it an elite cyclist or just a beginner or something in the middle. In this article this will be also represented and will show right terms and classification. After this, from a view of elite cyclist there will be explained how to train, what is needed to get into a good shape. Like it is known, cycling is enduro sport, so lots of hours on bike is needed, but to get a better result, strength training is also needed. To be great, this two main trainings needs to be done in a special ratio. For this is good that elite cyclist started to work with special scientist in this field of science. This coworking of cyclist, cycling coach and scientist makes cycling more interesting and elite cyclist more effective on races.

Treneri postepeno treniraju i razvijaju igrače, kako bi mogli doseći svoj vrhunac u seniorskom nogometu., Modern football requires endurance and excellent fitness from football players. In order for a player to develop into a professional soccer player, condition training must begin already in the youth selections through various methods and forms of fitness training and continue even at an older age. With young football players, through exercises, motor and functional abilities are trained in accordance with their physical and psychological development, which are closely related to the technical and tactical knowledge of football. The condition coach must adjust fitness preparations to both groups and individuals within the team. The basic motor skills that a football player must master are strength, speed, mobility, coordination, precision and balance. Each football player, through a combination of different forms and methods of conditioning, prepares himself physically for mastering the mentioned motor skills and greater endurance in a way that does not represent 'torture', but encourages him to master skills that will help him in the game. Seniors are players over 18 years of age. This is the age period in which strength and endurance increase markedly with an emphasis on maturing functional abilities and increasing resistance to fatigue. Coaches train and develop players all the time, so they can reach their peak in senior football.

Since the dawn of the human civilisation, a sort of pugilism had existed. By the 18th century it evolved into the form we know today, naturally further refined over time with additional rules dictating what can be done, and which techniques can be used. This paper explores the explosive strength as the centerpiece which differentiates two opponents of equal strength – the one with greater explosive strength in theory can with more ease overcome his or her opponent. In order to achieve greater explosive strength, different avenues have been explored, listing the optimal types of training and stating what effect thay have on the musculatory system. Lastly, the means of estimating the newfound explosive strength have been listed, with the ones estimating the explosivity of the lower and upper musculature being the primal point of focus, considering their importance in boxing.

No, za odnos hipertrofije i jakosti nemamo specifičan odgovor. Kako bi odgovorili na ovo pitanje, potrebna su nova, pažljivo dizajnirana istraživanja na velikom uzorku ispitanika, zbog velike genetske varijabilnosti adaptacija ljudi na trenažni proces vanjskim opterećenjem., It is well known that the training process leads to muscle growth, i.e. hypertrophy, and improvement of the body's ability to produce force, i.e. strength. However, we do not have a specific answer for the relationship between hypertrophy and strength. Evidence that hypertrophy directly affects strength comes from research on individual muscle fibers and research that links improvements in strength and hypertrophy after training. Research of this nature does not specifically tell us about the relation between strength and hypertrophy, but shows us the correlation between the two. In order to answer this question, new, carefully designed research is needed, on a large sample of subjects, due to the great genetic variability of people's adaptations to the training process with external load.

Motoričke sposobnosti u fokusu su brzina, snaga, koordinacija i agilnost, s naglaskom na eksplozivnu komponentu snage i očitovanje iste kroz dvije od tri ključne motoričke sposobnosti., Handball is a dynamic team sport characterized by specific movement structures which can hardly be mastered without mastering specific quantitative and qualitative motoric skills first. With the periodization training model in mind, a specific transition phase is analyzed in this theses. Specifically it focuses young handball athletes making it from the phase of general sports development into the specialization phase which focuses specific mechanics of a certain sport. The specialization period is extremely suitable for mastering motor skills that have shown crucial in the handball context in the past, since biologycal development (especially in boys) postpuberty allows for larger capabilities due to muscle volume increase. Specific motor skills that are the focus of this theses are speed, strength, coordination and agility, with the emphasis on explosive component of strength which also manifests itself throughout two out of three other important motoric skills in the handball context.

Također, izrađen je i primjer natjecateljskog mikrociklusa s jednom utakmicom te primjeri treninga u istom, s naglaskom na usvajanje željenog taktičkog koncepta., The latest concepts that have occurred in recent decades have significantly changed the way of programming and planning training, as well as the very concept of football as a demanding system of a set of segments that are mutually correlated with the task of realizing collective results. In this final paper, we will present a model of the organization of the competitive microcycle in senior football players, where our primary task is to design specific training goals, ignoring the traditional way of looking at things and thinking "outside the box", in order to prepare players for systematic reflection, authentication and personification of complex football situations. during the competition period. Furthermore, during the competitive period, our goal is to integrate fitness, mental and physical parts within the tactical dimension. Also, an example of a competitive microcycle with one game and examples of training in the same game, with an emphasis on adopting the desired tactical concept, was created.

U zadnjem poglavlju prikazan je primjer 7-dnevni primjer treninga u pripremnom periodu u prednatjecateljskoj fazi., Conditioning training plays a significant role in modern football, since a football game lasts for 90 minutes (plus the referee's allowance of time lost), requiring from the players a very high level of preparation. During a football match, players must have insight into the space-time relations of the ball movements, of the opponent and be able to solve these situations effectively. Conditioning training is a group of training procedures aimed at developing and maintaining the athlete’s functional and motor abilities as well as the morphological characteristics of athletes in accordance with the requirements of specific sports. There are four basic types of conditioning training: general, basic, specific, and situational. Training planning is a group of procedures determining goals and tasks in a specific period as well as material conditions such as space, equipment, human resources, finances, and others. Training programming includes a precise elaboration of the training plan, determining contents, methods, and methodical-organizational aspects of work. The competition period in football is the most interesting for the athletes and the most challenging for the head coach and the strength and conditioning coach. The purpose of the transition period is the regeneration of the athletes' bodies. The main goals achieved by conditioning training are the following: development of motor and functional abilities, injury prevention, recovery methods, and influence on the morphological body dimensions. From the fitness point of view, testing is performed three times: at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of the preparation period. They help us to apply certain changes and assess the training plan and program at its end. Injuries are unfortunately a common occurrence for all athletes, including football players. The injury prevention program consists mostly of exercises aimed at joint mobility and stability, muscle flexibility, and core and leg muscle activation as well as proprioception exercises. It is very important to have all three endurance components well developed in order to be able to play 90+ minutes in a high tempo with as few technical and tactical mistakes caused by fatigue as possible.
