The article discusses the new forms of paper in China. It states that the paper making industry has traditionally been very polluting, requiring the destruction of trees, the use of tremendous amounts of water and hazardous chemicals, as well as coal and other polluting sources of energy. Invented in China thousands years ago, things have reportedly changed with new forms of paper being made that are more environmentally friendly. The new Rich Mineral Paper is cited as one creation made from mineral rocks, is water proof, more durable, and biodegradable.
