Abstract
- The article focuses on Shanghai as the host city of the Special Olympics Summer Games in China from October 2 to 11, 2007. 19-year old Zhao Zengzeng, an ambassador and Olympian of the event, became the signature image for Special Olympians in Shanghai and around China. It describes the logo for the 2007 Special Olympics designed by special education teacher Zhou Baomei. The author notes that hosting the Special Olympics has demonstrated how the people of Shanghai care for intellectually disabled people.
