This article examines the problems of forming a strategy for enterprise development in a post-industrial society. A characteristic feature of the contemporary postindustrial society is the constantly evolving new knowledge. Globalization processes and comprehensive digitalization affect the economic behavior of all economic entities and should be taken into account in the formation of strategies for their development. The driving force of progress in Contemporary conditions is closely related to the development of the abilities of a person, whose interests and needs are becoming one level higher. New transformation processes require enterprises to carry out balanced investment activities, research markets, competitors, suppliers, and conduct an effective marketing policy. Businesses need to implement planning taking into account the prospects for its development. The enterprise development strategy should be long-term and contain a flexible plan of action in the direction of innovation based on a detailed analysis of the internal and external environment of the enterprise, available resources and potential of the enterprise. For the successful functioning of the enterprise, the objective necessity is the assessment of its competitiveness, which is based on identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the enterprise for its maximum improvement and finding hidden opportunities for development. The implementation of the development strategy requires efficient investments and optimal use of available resources to achieve the planned results. This article examines the impact of innovative development on the competitiveness of enterprises. The current trend of globalization and the spread of innovation has a comprehensive effect on the economic environment. Businesses that are the driving force of the economy must take into account the current conditions of post-industrial society to maintain their position in the market. With the openness of the domestic market, enterprises operate in terms of inclusion in a single economic, information and communication space, which leads to increased competition and the need to ensure adequate to the new reality of approaches to the activities of enterprises. The factors of competitiveness of enterprises that will ensure high efficiency of their work, competitiveness, stable market position and the possibility of development in accordance with the objectives are analyzed. In a competitive environment, stable positions are occupied by enterprises that are able to form a balanced development program, effectively maneuvering the internal factors of competitiveness and adapting to the conditions of external factors. It is noted that innovative development affects both external and internal factors of competitiveness. External factors of competitiveness under the influence of innovative development tend to improve the conditions for entrepreneurs. In the post-industrial era, the service sector has been expanding and professional tasks have been transformed into service-oriented knowledge work, that is, the business consulting profession. The variety of employment patterns has increased with the deregulation of the labor market, and the employment pattern of those professionals working in the service sector has been characterized by short-term assignments and employment contracts. Despite this contingent employment, the position of the business consulting professionals in the labor market is not necessarily degrading, as they are highly-qualified and competent actors, who can deal with the challenges of the business world. Thus, their position and coping strategies relate not only to the precarious employment but also to their professional, independent work. The article presents the post-industrial society problem in the context of personal self-existence of the individual. A spiritually oriented humanitarian paradigm in the intellectual and moral development of the individual in the framework of solving the post-industrial society problems is identified. Personalized learning is considered as a special learning type focused on the personal and intellectual development of the individual on the way from egocentrism to altruism. Intellectual development in the framework of metacognitive learning strategies is presented. The spiritual and moral development of students is defined as personal reflection development. While being accompanied by the objective phenomena of technicalization, urbanization, and bureaucratization, industrialization as much as possible involved a person in the universalized life of the community, which turned into the formation of a mass society that standardized social life. The paper discusses the specific features of the postmodern situation: decentring, pluralism, fragmentation, etc. Particular attention is paid to the principle of pluralism, which is considered as a counterweight to the narrowing of the diversity of the life spectrum, standardization and uniformity, to which the stage of modernism has led to at the stage of its completion. It is proved that the term "postmodernism" not only reflects the completeness of a certain historical and worldview period, but also implies a revision of approaches and a change in guidelines in the methodology of cognition and sociocultural practice. The listed features of the postmodernism methodology not only provide an idea of the modern type of thinking that overcomes dogmatism, totalitarianism and unification, but also allows to grasp the actual postmodern nature of current active practices of symbolizing meanings that originate with modern culture, which in their genesis are phenomena that destruct the world of conventional values. The paper presents the results of a sociological study of the middle class of the Russian region from the standpoint of the characteristics of a post-industrial actor, in which, among other attributes, social participation, self-description and self-reflection are inherent. A data collection method is a semiformalized mass interview. The purpose of the study is to find the characteristics of the subjective middle class in innovative regions of Russia using the example of the Tomsk region. It was revealed that the subjective middle class of the Russian region quite confidently determines its class affiliation. Such actors are mostly independent in determining and achieving personal goals, sovereign in the meaning of recognition of their own life prospects as a priority, and economically active in ensuring their welfare. However, not all the features that are inherent in this post-industrial social stratum are fully revealed. The motives for self-identification with the middle class in the Russian region are still more in tune with the industrial era since they have a material nature. The awareness of the importance of social participation is insufficiently expressed, while participation itself is present in various forms, although not to the extent described in the world scientific literature. The evolution of scientific views concerning the formation of the Internet economy in the context of information society theory transformation into a network society theory is revealed in the paper. A critical analysis of the approaches of Japanese scholars to the theory of the information society is made, the specifics and impact of rapid computerization on the formation of their views are determined. It is emphasized on the leading role of F. Mahlup in the development of the concept “knowledge industry”, D. Bell in the development of ideas of “postindustrial society”, M. Porat and M. Rubin in the development of the area of “information economy” as the stages of the theory of information society evolution. The basic approaches to the definition of information society are highlighted: technological, economic, employment, spatial, cultural. The role and importance of M. Castels’ works in the development of the network society theory and Internet economy are substantiated. The role of global network structures which form new e-business industry is identified. It is proven that the success of the Internet economy depends on the ability of businesses to scale their activities quickly, interact in real time and offer personalized product to customers. Post-industrial society is also defined as a "post-class" society, reflecting the breakdown of the stable social structures and identities characteristic of industrial society. If before the status of an individual in a society was determined by his place in the economic structure, that is, by the class affiliation to which all other social characteristics were subordinated, now the status characteristic of the individual is determined by a multitude of factors, among which the increasing role is played by education and the level of culture (according to P. Advocates of biomimicry encourage a new industrial paradigm that ostensibly leaves behind the crude violence of Francis Bacon, the domination of nature-as-machine, and a history of toxic production processes that have given rise to a present and coming climate crisis. As part of a broader trend towards the conceptualization and development of a ‘bioeconomy’, we argue here that biomimicry produces ‘nature’ in new ways. At face value, these new approaches to valuing nature may seem less violent and exploitative. Yet, new natures can and are tortured in new ways. We argue that biomimicry produces ‘nature’ through well-worn logics of resource enclosure and privatization, focusing upon two fundamental shifts in how nonhuman life is figured and put to work: (1) the production of nature as intellectual property (as opposed to raw materials); (2) the production of nature as an active subject (as opposed to a passive receptacle or vehicle). Technology and society have always interacted with one another throughout the history. This interaction between the two has led to some significant changes in the world. Developed each new technology in the society has been accompanied a new revolution such as the Agricultural Revolution, Industrial Revolution and Informatics Revolution. The latest one took place in the world; Informatics Revolution has emerged as a result of the developments in information and communication technologies (ICT). The structure of modern society has also turned into the information society by undergoing change in company with IT revolution. Consequently, ICT began to be perceived as the main factor in the transition of the information society. Here in this research, is discussed the role of ICT in the construction of information society. This study has been carried out on basis of a literature review and assessment upon the theories of post-industrial society that deals with the emergence of information society. According to the results of this theoretical analysis, it was found that the construction of information society is a complex societal process which will not be able to explain by only the extent of technological factors. Within the scope of the study results, the research assumption which propounds that the information society rose as a result of the interaction between society and information technologies was proved. Sociologist Daniel Bell is famous for forecasting that industrial societies will be replaced by what he calls postindustrial societies. He argued that these two societies have different modes of thinking and invented his own terms, "economizing mode" and "sociologizing mode", to describe the type of thinking characteristic of each society. The former mode is associated with industrial societies and characterized by an emphasis on economic goals, such as efficiency and profit. The latter mode is associated with post-industrial societies and characterized by an emphasis on what he considers non-economic goals, such as national security and environmental safety. Bell notes that the shift toward the post-industrial society is driven by science and technology. Since a defining characteristic of science is the continual pursuit of new knowledge and it is technology that stems from such knowledge that propels the shift to the sociologizing mode, Bell should be understood as suggesting that this shift possesses a unidirectional character. Moreover, Bell suggested that this shift could be seen in the United States government's funding of large-scale science projects that are often referred to as "Big Science". He suggests that these projects typically have goals characteristic of the sociologizing mode and that the government's decision to fund the Manhattan Project may be viewed as marking the beginning of the shift toward mode. Drawing on Bell's identification of Big Science as a sociologizing enterprise, I examine the trajectory of Big Science in the United States from World War II to the present, especially the federal and public support for it, and argue that it has not shown a general shift toward the sociologizing mode. On the contrary, I suggest that on a first approximation United States' science policy during this period may be viewed as oscillating between periods in which sociologizing considerations were dominant and those in which economizing ones were dominant. I stress, however, that this oscillatory picture must be regarded as a first approximation. Finally, I show that the contrasting fates of the Human Genome Project and the Superconducting Supercollider suggest that the distinction between the two modes has collapsed and that future support for Big Science will depend on how well its proponents link sociologizing considerations to economizing ones in selling their projects. During the last four decades, the general shift towards flexible accumulation of capital has led to a growing requirement for an increased mobility of labour which greatly affects the restructuring of post-industrial cities today. Using a historical perspective to enlighten the contrast with the period of industrialization when urban planning was, on the contrary, aimed at fixing a large workforce within the city, I argue that the current transformations of urban landscapes one can observe within French cities signal a consequent shift in the regulation of mobilities in the French post-industrial cities. The tactics aiming at regulating the mobilities at a narrow scale have disappeared in favour of a strategy aiming at adapting the city to the requirements of time and space compression through a simultaneous acceleration and rescaling (from the urban and the labour pool to the city-region and the transnational) of the daily mobilities. This shift in the regulation of urban mobilities reflects the recent evolution of the nature of urban power of the French post-industrial cities. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
