Not only the state plays a part in the social field through its institutions or established organizations, but also non-governmental organizations, which are significant actors in the field of social services. The main mission of non-governmental organizations in the social field is to provide services in the context of Act No. 108/2006 Coll. on Social Services. Provided social services are divided into social consultancy, social care services, and social prevention services. The kinds of services provided free of charge which can be found in the law are, for example, social consultancy, early intervention, emergency assistance, follow-up care, social activation services for families with children, seniors, people with disabilities and outreach programmes. Most non-governmental organizations in the Czech Republic providing social services finance their operations from multiple sources, such as grant procedures of ministries, regions, municipalities, the EU, endowment entities and also from incomes from their own activities. This diploma thesis aimed to ascertain in what ways and from what sources non-governmental organizations in the South Bohemian Region fund social services which are provided to clients free of charge by law. At the same time, it was also important to identify the possibilities of financing social services provided free of charge by the South Bohemian Region. A qualitative research strategy was used for the research, along with the method of questioning and furthermore, the analysis of relevant documents was carried out. The research part provides a detailed view of social services and their significance within the South Bohemian Region and gives an insight into the matters of financing non-governmental organizations providing social services free of charge in the territory of the South Bohemian Region.

This thesis "Effectiveness of NGOs in the field of integration and discrimination against foreigners" is dedicated to the service efficiency of NGOs on issues of integration and discrimination against foreigners. The main goal of the work is to find answers to questions important for understanding the issue during the research. Another aim of the research is to determine whether it conforms to offer integration services of NGOs declared needs of users-foreigners. The thesis deals with the services offered by NGOs, the use of these services by foreigners, the relevance of similar services and how versatile such organizations could and should operate. It examined the rate of participation and assist NGOs in addressing discrimination and integration of foreigners and efficiency of their services. The benefit of this work are recommendations for NGOs, which could increase the efficiency and effectiveness of services in the field of integration and discrimination against foreigners. The recommendation is based on in-depth interviews with clients and a questionnaire survey of NGO employees.

The diploma thesis focuses on the topic of lifelong learning of social workers who work in non-governmental non-profit organizations. The aim of this work was to find out what possibilities social workers have with a completed master's degree in the field of lifelong learning. The second important goal was to find out what the social workforce needs for lifelong learning and whether their needs are taken into account in the provision of education. Lifelong learning is an integral part of social work and it is important to take into account the needs of social workers. To achieve these goals, quantitative research was used, which was carried out with the help of a questionnaire survey, which asked a total of 28 questions, some of which were optional. A total of 61 social workers who work in a non-governmental non-profit organization and have a master's degree were contacted. As part of this quantitative research, research was conducted focused only on the South Bohemian Region, where non-governmental non-profit organizations and social workers working in them were found within the register of social service providers. A total of 36 social workers responded to the questionnaire, with the questionnaires being sent twice because unfortunately, the return was very low in the first wave. The data that were subsequently obtained from the questionnaire survey were processed both in Microsoft Excel, but also in R software. From the conducted research it is possible to conclude that social workers are satisfied with the courses offer by their employer. This shows that needs of social workers are both satisfied and motivated. Respondents stated that they regularly receive course offers from their employer. This I consider very important and perspective. This proves that the continuous education of social worker is not happening only because it is required by the government but it is happening because private non-profit organisations support it on their own. Concerning the organization in my data sample I can conclude that the needs of their social workers are taken into account.

Substitute family care is a frequently mentioned topic in the Czech Republic, especially in connection with the high number of children placed in institutional facilities. Foster care, as a one of the forms of substitute family care, was registered within the amendment to the Act on Social and Legal Protection of Children No. 359/1999 Coll. It was in January 2013 and a new concept of support and definition of foster parents' rights and obligations was defined. One of these obligations is to conclude a foster care agreement either with the municipal authority of the municipality with extended powers or with a non-governmental non-profit organization which is entrusted with the exercise of social and legal protection of children and with foster care agreements. This dissertation covers the impact of changes in the transition of the financing system of social services from the Ministry of Social Affairs to local regions. This phase of the transition is assested from the point of view of the current state of cooperation between non governmental organizations (NGO)s and governmnetal institutions. The sample region selected for this work is Stredocesky region and the evaluation of this change was done in the context of providing social services aimed on integration of Roma into the society. The theoretical part of this dissertation is concerned with the relationship of the state with the NGOs. Further financing of social services, the history up until the current situation of the state of the process of integration of Romes into Czech Republic is outlined in this work. This Master's thesis deals with the description of an introduction of social service in Non- Governmental Organization, which has decided to become a registrated provider of social services. The aim of the thesis is to describe how to manage selected phase of such a change, while introducing it to the field of social service by a Non-Governmental Organization. This is related to chosen Non-Governmental Organization Azara sociální, z.s. and specifically it's project of the introduction of field social service - Personal Assistance. The selected phase of implementation is the registration of this service and the individual steps, from the decision to introduce the change, through the elaboration of the individual plans and submission of required documents, which are necessary for the registration application to the competent regional authority. This bachelor thesis is focused on process analysis and analysis of the sources of financing the Association of Friends of the Lukov castle. The main goal is to create a suggestion of activities leading to sustainable financing of activities of the Association of Friends of the Lukov castle. The theoretical part defines national economy, non-profit organizations and financing in the non-profic sector. The practical part of this bachelor thesis is dedicated to the description of the Association of Friends of the Lukov castle and its analysis. The end of this bachelor thesis will be dedicated to the suggestion of activities leading to the sustainable financing of the organization based on the process analysis and an example of a grant application will be processed.

The goal of this paper is to describe the relationship between a non-governmental organisation and the government. The paper is a case study of the non-governmental organization Meta o.p.s. which works in the field of integrating foreigners and focuses on the issue of educating pupils who speak various mother tongues. The paper deals with the development of relationships, the roles within these relationships the organization fulfils with regards to the government, and the influence these relationships with the government have on the organization's goals and development. Furthermore, the paper focuses on the persisting barriers which prevent these relationships from being created and developed. This thesis is focused on the relations of competition and cooperation between non-governmental non-profit organizations working with migrants in Prague. Based on interviews with representatives of these organizations and the study of documents, this thesis shows that classical theoretical approaches that deal with interorganizational relationships generally, i.e. those of profitable organizations in the market environment, ignore the specificity of non-profit organizations. Unlike profitable organizations, non-profit organizations primarily do not aim at profit but rather at the mission they were founded for. Classical theories do not reflect this dimension at all. The non-profit organizations working with migrants in Prague not only cooperate but this cooperation is motivated especially by their mission, although they are situated in a highly competitive position because they are situated in the same area, work with the same clients, offer similar services to these clients and are financed from the same sources. This work is focused on non-governmental non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic and it solves issues of closing accounts and financial statements of the public benefit organization SIRIRI. The main goal is analysis of accounting methods and techniques which are used by the organization in closing accounts and financial statements. Accounting records, which were obtained from external accountant, were used for the analysis. Further information was provided by conversation with accountant and internal employee of organization. During this analysis was discovered that some of the accounting records were booked incorrectly. As a result, it was recommended how to remove the errors. A special modified profit and loss statement was compiled for the organization. It includes this recommended booking and at the same time, it suggests more accurate allocation of costs and revenues between the main and supplementary activity using so called keying. After that the work solves impact of recommended allocation on profit and loss and income tax. Conclusion of the work summarizes all these recommendations and it suggests how to improve the methods and techniques or how to prevent the accounting errors which the organization has made.

This bachelor thesis deals with an impact of a new Civil Code Act No.89/2012 Coll. On the low-threshold institutions for children and adolescents in the Region of South Bohemia. The theoretical part deals with a classification of a non-state, non-profit making organizations, which is essential for this research. Furthermore, I present basic concepts connected with a low-threshold institution for children and adolescents (LTICHA). Provided services according to valid legislation and their target group are presented here too. I also deal with a problem of a civil society transformation to a chosen legal status. The practical part contains selected targets and survey inquires. In the survey part of the bachelor thesis I used a qualitative construction, a face-to-face method and a half-structured interview technique. The first target was to discover how a LTICHA dealt with new Civil Code (NCC) duties. Furthermore I dealt with the most frequented legislative forms used by the LTICHA. The institutions could choose a legislative status of a voluntary group, institute or public benefit organization. The research target group were the LTICHA in the Region of South Bohemia, which were impacted by a NCC; not every institution had to change its legislative status though. This change excluded the church and religious societies which are subjected to Act No.3/2002 Coll. About churches and religious societies. This legislative status is the most accepted one by the LTICHA and out of 19 institutions in the South of Bohemia, more than one half of these prefer this status. Only those institutions that changed their legislative status from the civil society were contacted. Eventually only three institutions participated in the survey. It appears that these institutions were "forced" to change their legislative status by a new Civil Code as well as to follow its new conditions. The questioned institutions were able to transform their status only with special help.

This thesis deals with fundraising of non-profit organisations. The scope of the thesis is to provide the reader with basic information about fundraising, and to apply this information in order to evaluate the fundraising of a selected non-profit organisation. First of all, this work defines the non-profit sector and its long-term sustainability, then the work deals with the fundraising itself. Issues connected with credibility of the organisation and its webpages are included in the part concerning fundraising.These factors establish a competitive advantage in activities that are focused on fundraising. These theoretical foundations are applied on a chosen non-profit organisation, and additionaly, the webpages of the organisation are also analysed, and an ASNO14 non-profit organisation reliability analysis is carried out. The data used in the practical part was collected through an analysis of annual reports of the organisation, webpage analysis and through a personal interview. The ending of this thesis includes an overall evaluation and improvement proposals.

This thesis aims to assess the marketing strategy and HR management done at Transparency International in the Czech Republic and to propose improvements that could help increase the awareness about the organization. To achieve this, the perception of the Czech citizens is evaluated via questionnaire. Afterwards the marketing strategy done in the Czech branch is described based on the interview with the representative of Transparency International. In the end, the individual elements are compared which enables to define improvement recommendations for the organization.

The thesis deals with the optimization of human resources management in non-profit organizations working in the welfare services in the Czech Republic. To understand the processes of employee recruitment and employee benefits were used mainly questionnaire survey (n = 75) and interviews (n = 7). As a complementary way was chosen comparative analysis of the domestic non-profit sector with selected countries of EU. Resulting data were a base for formulation of suggestions and recommendations suitable to improve the quality of personnel management in non-profit organizations. For effective recruitment was proposed profile of the typical employee and voluntary worker. Between proposed solutions belong for example creation of long-term personnel strategy, employee referral program, optional system of employee benefits, corporate volunteering and many others.

Consumer organizations primarily help consumers to solve their consumer issues. This bachelor thesis is focused on marketing communication of a chosen non-profit organization in the area of consumer protection. The goal is to analyse the usage ofmarketing communication tools in the non-profit organization dTest. The first part of the thesis examines the individual marketing communication tools, nonprofit organizations and consumer protection at a general level. The second part focuses on reaching the given target. It consists of breakdown of the dTest activities, evaluation of webpages and the actual research. There were two research methods chosen. The first one is a method of controlled depth interview with the dTest Marketing Department Leader. The second method is a survey inquiry focused on awareness of the consumers´ regarding dTest and their opinion about it. The output of that is the evaluation of the analysis and improvement suggestions.

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to assess the current state of the readiness of non-governmental organisations in South Bohemia concerning the preparation for handling larger groups of refugees. Moreover, the thesis determines the expected number of volunteers and inhabitants of South Bohemia willing to participate in activities aiming to help the refugees. The first part deals with the basic groups of non-governmental organisations distinguished by our legal code. The description of these groups focuses primarily on the general characteristics. An important chapter addresses the definition of the term Association of Non-Governmental Organisations in South Bohemia. Subsequently, the respective organisations united there are described in more detail. The last part of the theoretical background of the thesis is concerned with migration policy, the security aspects connected with migration, and the organisations working with refugees on the international level. To fulfil the aim No.1 "To review the readiness of non-governmental organisations in South Bohemia concerning the preparation for handling larger groups of refugees" and to answer the research question "What is the current state of readiness of non-governmental organisations in South Bohemia concerning the preparation for handling larger groups of refugees?", the method of qualitative research was employed. The research used the method of structured interviews with the responsible representatives of the NGOs united in the Association of NGOs in South Bohemia. To fulfil the aim No.2 "To determine the expected number of volunteers and inhabitants of South Bohemia willing to participate in activities aiming to help the refugees": The results demonstrated unequivocally that the organisation best prepared as far as the material and personnel viewpoint is concerned was the Czech Red Cross. Other organisations can provide material security or qualified psychological aid depending on their speciality. The results proved that the current state of the readiness of NGOs concerning the powers, tools and activities meets the requirements for providing help to a larger group of refugees on condition that the NGOs in The Association of Non-Governmental Organisations in South Bohemia cooperate. The questionnaire survey showed that fifty percent out of 284 respondents are willing to participate in activities aiming to help the refugees, which confirms the original hypothesis.

Thesis Counseling support in the education of socially disadvataged pupils deals with education of this target group of pupils, which is still unclear in many situation of. The emphasis is focused on counseling support of these children, that should help their education of non-state non-profit institutions. The aim of thesis is to clarify this issue and highlight the important role of non-profit instituions, genereally there is tend to neglect them. In its theoretical part thesis works with pupil with socially disadvantaged in the context of education and the structure of advisory support in the Czech Republic. The explorative part of thesis is based on case studies of specific non-state, non-profit organizations, namely the generally beneficial company People in need, a registered association Counseling centre for integration and registered association R- Bridges. These organizations are significantly involved in counseling support in the education of the target group of pupils. The bachelor thesis "Charity Projects of Organisations Providing Care for Children with Health Disability in the Region of South Bohemia" deals with those projects that were founded by non-profit organisations and that provide care for children with health disability in the Region of South Bohemia. The aim of this thesis is to chart the charity projects of above mentioned organisations and to find out what is a proper and effective way to create them and what methods and procedures are used by non-state, non-profit organisations. The first research inquiry refers to a successful implementation of these projects. The result will be not only a realisation what kind of projetcs were created by the above mentioned organisations but also what is important for an organisation itself. Within the bounds of the second research inquiry I find out wheather there is an optimal procedure for the implementation of the charity projects of non-state, non-profit organisations. A qualitative method was used for a research part of this thesis. I used a method of a half-structured interview, a technique of a personal interview. A research group was selected for bringing the research into practice, which includes nine organisations seleceted from non-state, non-profit organisations providing a care for health disabled children in the Region of South Bohemia. It is more difficult for non-state, non-profit organisations it this field to obtain enough finances for providing services and for obtaining necessary aids than for state non-profit organisations because of different ways of fundraising . A non-state, non-profit organisation has several possibilities how to obtain necessary material and non-material sources. There are charity projects that offer means of selfless help; provided they are successful, they help the organisation to obtain necessary sources. It emerged from the research that it was very important for non-state, non-profit organisations to get a multi-source fundraising and supporters of their projects, mainly donors and sponsors, to obtain available care for children with heath disability. On the basis of the research, it is possible to state that non-state, non-profit organisations providing care for children with health disability, implemented many successful projects. The results of this thesis can be used in the way of an informative material for setting a complete view of a solution of the problems of the above mentioned organisations projects.

This bachelor's thesis is called "The role of nongovernmental organisations in helping families looking after children suffering from spinal muscular atrophy." The theoretical part is divided into 5 main chapters. The first chapter defines basic terms: spinal muscular atrophy, classification, diagnosis and basic care of people suffering from spinal muscular atrophy. The second part deals with possible therapies. Particularly about rehabilitation and spa treatment, conservative and operative therapy, alternative treatment and medication, compensatory aids, mainly wheel chairs. This chapter also mentions respiratory, orthotic and physiotherapeutic care. Regarding physiotherapeutic care there are descriptions of: using a ball for massage, ergotherapy, basal stimulation, hydrotherapy and pool, hypotherapy. In the conclusion of this chapter there is a description of the project REaDY (REgistry of muscular DYstrophy). The third chapter is named "The family of a child suffering from spinal muscular atrophy." It seemed important to mention stages of grief parents are going through after their handicapped child was born. The stages were described by a famous Swiss thanatology expert Elizabeth Kübler-Ross. There are recommendations for parents and people taking care of handicapped child at the end of the third chapter. The fourth chapter addresses the upbringing and education of children with spinal muscular atrophy. The intellect of these children is not affected so they can be integrated into nursery, primary and secondary schools attended by unhandicapped children. The last chapter deals with nongovernmental organisations having great social benefit for handicapped people. The practical part of this work has two main goals: to find out what services are offered by nongovernmental organisations to the families of children with spinal muscular atrophy and how are these families satisfied with offered services. The qualitative type of research was used for achieving these goals: the technique of semi-structured interviews. The target set of the research part consisted of workers of nongovernmental organisations specialised in spinal muscular atrophy and the parents of children suffering from it. The interviews were focused on gaining the list of services provided by nongovernmental organisations regarding the caring families. Seven families were asked for participation in this research. Five families agreed to be involved in the interview. The list of provided services makes another part of the research. Therefore a social worker from Arpida (rehabilitation centre for handicapped people) and a special consultant from Kolping Family Smečno were addressed. It was found out that organisations mentioned above provide short-term stays, rehabilitations, ergotherapy, swimming pool, hypotherapy, compensatory aids and consulting. Parents are particularly interested in short-term stays, they can have a rest and an assistant takes care of their child. This service is of utmost importance for parents. It brings both a physical and a psychological relief. Intellect is not affected in children and it is not easy to invent new activities. At the same time the contact with another person is invaluable. There is also a great demand for rehabilitation, which is beneficial and unsubstitutable. Parents say that consulting is also important. The consulting is usually needed for purchases of compensatory aids or integration of children into schools. Almost all parents agreed to be fully satisfied with provided services. One of the respondents would be more satisfied if the short-term stays took place more frequently, not only during the summer. Concerning financial issue the basic income comes from social services The results of this work can be used to get an overview of services provided by nongovernmental organisations and to find out how satisfied those users of the services are.

This bachelor thesis is named Cooperation of the Social Affairs Department of the Municipality City České Budějovice with Non-governmental Organizations. It deals with issues of mutual cooperation of contractors and providers of social services for professional social counseling in the administrative district of České Budějovice. The aim of the thesis is to map out mutual cooperation of the above mentioned entities. The most important group in the process of providing social services are users who are informed about their rights and duties, they understand their situation and are able to contribute actively to its solution. Therefore I chose the first research question directed to this triad member. The result of this question will determine whether the social affairs department of the City Council of České Budějovice processed information system for users of professional social counseling. In the second research question I identified providers among nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) to determine whether they are actively informed about the possibilities of mutual cooperation with the administrative district of Ceske Budejovice. For the practical part of the thesis I used qualitative research. For the actual collection of information I used the method of semi structured interview, personal interview technique. For the realization of the research two research files were selected. The first set consisted of three communication partners from the administrative district of České Budějovice engaged in cooperation with NGOs, community planning and leadership of the working group "Consulting". For the second research group there were selected communication partners from eight NGOs that have registered social services of professional social counseling in the Register of Social Services Providers in the České Budějovice district. This was an adequate number of respondents for selected qualitative research, the theoretical saturation was fulfilled. A cyclical, continuous process of community planning leads to meet the targeted goals of the entities. The process allows you to define and subsequently to support the provision of social services. This purpose is fulfilled by community planning documents, the "Development plan of social services of the Czech Republic for 2013 2018" and "The action plan of the Development plan for the year 2015", which take into account the current status, needs, resources, trends and other relevant factors, based on regular monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of each of the planned measures.. Equal partners of the contracting authority are the providers of social services from NGOs, who are part of the entire community process. The contracting authority in cooperation with them stems from the concept of social services and it also uses a wide area of tools, so that the party interested on the provision of social services is comprehensively informed. Due to the fact that the providers of NGOs are active collaborators in the field of planning of social services, they are members of the various advisory groups; they have a representative in the social commission of the city and shall cooperate in the issuance of community documents. Therefore they have a comprehensive look at all the achievable and the real possibilities of where, how and what is the most appropriate way to inform interested parties about the range of their provided social services.On the basis of the research it can be stated that the users have many options how to learn about the activities of the contracting entity and the individual providers in the case of interest for the provision of social service. The results of the work can be used to gain a comprehensive perspective on the cooperation problem and the possible practical use of information generated by research interviews with the sponsor and the provider of social services.

In my thesis "Recruitment and education for fellow workers in non- profit organization" are identified problems with recruitment, for example difficult choice of the most suitable candidate, acquisition financial resources for salaries, high turnover of volunteers, difficult cooperation with media when recruiting. Between proposed solutions belong cooperation with communities, which connect experts who help non-profit organizations for free. I also recommend actively working on PR to change perception of volunteering. The work also includes identifying themes for public to engagement of non-profit orgazations. Most often stated: sense and good feeling, acquisition of experiences, identification with a goal and mission of non-profit organization. On the contrary, as the reasons for noncooperation with non-profit organization it was mentioned low wage assessment, lack of information about options of volunteering and lack of time. In education of non-profit organizations I recommend use more external volunteers from said community and focus on practical teaching with utilizing experiential education. The goal is to improve adoption education of employee and thereby increase his efficiency.

The aim of this paper is to describe the process of raising funds on the example of selected non-profit organizations, which can be described as "good practice". Is a case study of one case, which case is the process of raising funds to non-profit organizations with their own fundraising department and integrated social enterprise. There were examined the activities within the processes, the organization structure of the actors involved and the external influences on the processes. Data were obtained by semi-structured interviews, participant observation and document analysis. The data analysis was open coding. Results of the research of the process of raising funds in this work provides a description of these processes that are "good practice". The most important characteristics of the processes were the organization and targeting of the activities, good promotion, reducing dependence on sources with their diversity and active struggle against external influences. The thesis is focused on the topic of leadership in non­governmental non­profit organizations. The thesis is focused on specifics of process of leadership in non­governmental non-profit sector with the greatest emphasis on the difference in the approaches of leadership of paid staff and volunteers, these groups of people are a very important and typical part of NGO. The thesis presents the most commonly used theories of leadership in the organizations, as well as describes the importance of leadership in the NGO. A qualitative method of data obtaining is used in the empirical part of the thesis. It is possible to describe the course of the process of leadership in NGO from interviews with the leaders and its specifics can be pointed out. The thesis deals with accounting principles in specific conditions of the selected non-profit organization. The main aim of this thesis is to describe and analyse accounting practises of the accounting entity and evaluate them in terms of accounting principles. The first part constitutes a theoretical base for this issue. In the first chapter are described public benefit organizations with relation to legislation. The second chapter defines assumptions of double entry accounting system and particular accounting principles. In the third chapter is introduced non-governmental organization Centrum Paraple, a public benefit organization, especially its activities, mission and economy. The last chapter constitutes a practical base of the thesis, which is based on an analysis of certain accounting principles in specific conditions of the selected public benefit organization.

The target of my thesis is the evaluation of the effectiveness of investments in human capital in the selected non-governmental organization (NGO). I achieve that through the simple questionnaire, which shows the number of employees of the organization, the way and the size of investment and also the evaluation of their utility. The selected NGO is compared with another 2 similar organizations in the table. The issue of the non-for-profit sector is for most people almost unknown. Even the mere inclusion into the national economy can be often an unsolvable problem, because borders between the for-profit and non-for-profit sector are often mutually intersected. Today's trend is that the greatest advantage is the human capital. The selected organization is analyzed mainly in human resources their financing, education and motivation. The conclusion of my thesis advises that organization, how to more effectively invest to their employees.

The objective of this Master's thesis to formulate recommendations and to create a proposal of the marketing strategy for the Non-governmental organization Kredance, whose area of activities lies in culture and contemporary movement theatre. The thesis is divided into four principal parts; the first part is focused on the theoretic framework of non-profit sector and NGOs with accent to the Czech reality. The second part deals with the management of NGOs, mainly with marketing management and management of finances (with stress on fundraising). The third part is composed of the profile of the organization Kredance and of the research. Last part of the thesis is based on the research and it presents a proposal of the marketing strategy and few recommendations (in the area of marketing).

The goal of the thesis is to provide an economic analysis of Klubíčko Beroun, o.p.s. To be successful, a nongovernmental organizations have to plan with a good strategy and analyze both outer and inner environments. The NGOs receive finances mostly from donors and have to be responsible for using them efficiently. Therefore, NGOs should not undervalue the economic aspect of their activities and should pay attention to the financial indicators. In my work, I focus on the analysis of the strategy and on the financial analysis. The thesis consists of two parts: the theoretical-methodological part, and the analytical part. In the first part, the basic theoretical apparatus is introduced, and it is consequently used in the second part. The results of the analysis of the strategy and the financial analysis serve as a basis for the SWOT analysis and for the formulation of the strategy for Klubíčko Beroun, o.p.s.

Hejlek, P. Impact of changes in the Civil Code in force from 1 1st 2014 NGOs Thesis. Brno 2014. This work deals with the changes and their impact on organizations in the new Civil Code, effective from 1 1st 2014. Analyzes individual NGOs prior to the effectiveness of the new Civil Code, then analyzes these organizations on the basis of the new Civil Code and focuses the impact of these changes on individual organizations, both in terms of direct impact of the new Civil Code, and in terms of indirect influence, and it changed the terminology. Finally, it describes the proposal of a fairer taxation of non-profit organizations.

The thesis deals with the professionalization of non-profit sector in the Czech Republic, specifically the problém what "professions" in the non-profit sector in the Czech Republic are formed and what are their parameters. The thesis analyzes the jobs offered in the labor market in non-profit organizations. This thesis tries to answer the question: "To what jobs are employees of nonn-governmental organizations demanded" It also focuses on the requirements of these jobs - specifically, the required education, skills, abilities, personality characteristics, experrience, knowledge, relationship to work and the technical prerequisites. The theoretical part is devoted to the professionalization of NGOs in the country. First, I define the Non-Governmental Organization, then explain the concept of professionalization, explain the concept of profession and define who is a professional. The last chapter concerns human resources and positions in non-profit organizations. In the empirical part I analyze the current situation on the labor market in the Czech Republic. It is mentioned what positions of the NGOs are demanding and what are the requirements put on these posts, then I compare the offers of work in NGOs in each region.

The aim of the thesis is the analysis of the civil / private non-profit organization with focus on its fundraising, current situation in the non-profit industry as well as a detailed overview of organizations, included in this sector. The paper is divided into a theoretical and research part. The theoretical part, at first, elaborates on non-profit sector, fundraising and its methodology and discusses the legal requirements & regulations in the context of non-profit sector, donors and sponsors. The research part applies the methodology defined in the theoretical part and analyses the operations and fundraising methods of the specific organization chosen for such purpose. The outcomes of the analysis were used to compare the company with a similar firm operating in the given industry in order to draft a possible strategies and improvements regarding the fundraising possibilities.

Bachelor thesis of "Leisure time activities Roma children in Tabor" is about the leisure activities of Roma children in Tabor. The work is focused on the history of the Roma, the relationship of the Roma child to the school, the relationship of the Roma minority to upbringing of Roma children. For the most part is dedicated to the non-State non-profit organizations, which are engaged in leisure activities not only for Roma children in Tabor. Further focuses on the Organization of the 1. Kiwajunior Club Camp, and especially on its Fílie project, which is aimed at children from socio-culturally disadvantaged environment, from the children's home Radenín, children from Asylum House for women and mothers with children in Tabor, and thus prevention of pathological phenomena. With the boy, who is involved in the Fília project, case study has been developed. The practical part is focused on the specific ways of spending leisure time activities of Roma children in Tabor, with whom and where leisure time activities they spend, whether leisure time activities the Roma children spend with family or friends, as they represent leisure time activities, whether there are whiles, when are bored.

Population is growing older, people are reaching higher age, consequently, there is nowadays increasing interest in social care services for older people. Recently, there has been growing discussion on reaching higher standards of such care that would have a home like character rather than that of a hospital institution. Care home staff should make considerable effort to keep seniors involved in our society as well as provide encouragement for care home residents and offer them the possibility of leisure activities. The thesis deals with quality of life of seniors in residential institutions from a view of a semi budgetary institution and a non profit organisation. The aim of the thesis is to map as well as compare quality of life of residents in selected nursing homes for seniors in the Vysočina region with the status of semi budgetary organisation and non profit institution established by the church. The research was conducted in four nursing homes for seniors in the Vysočina region using the qualitative semi-structured interview with the addition of participant observation of activation activities. The interviews were held in a semi budgetary organisation nursing home for seniors in Havlíčkův Brod in an institution called Havlíčkův Brod Social Services and in House for Seniors Havlíčkův Brod. The research was also carried out in the following non profit organisations in the town of Humpolec in a nursing home for seniors called Home of Blahoslavné Bronislavy and in the town of Mylibořice where a nursing house for seniors called Diakonie ČCE is situated. In relation with the qualitative research, three hypotheses were formulated and addressed by analysing the answers. Main hypothesis Is the quality of life of seniors in nursing homes increasing with the increase of social activation activities? Sub hypotheses 1) Are residents in institutions established by non-governmental organisations more satisfied with the quality of life then residents in semi budgetary organisations? 2) Is the range of leisure activities in nursing houses of non-governmental institutions different from that of semi budgetary organisations? The results of the thesis can be used to improve the resident's quality of life in nursing houses.

This diploma thesis deals with taxation of non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, the Great Britain and Switzerland. The issue of taxation of non-profit organizations is currently widely discussed. It is primarily focused on the tax reliefs of non-profit organizations. Using the method of comparison, the selected countries taxation regimes are compared and afterwards there are proposed some changes in taxation of non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic, in order to respect the simplicity, clarity and minimal administrative requirements for this type of organizations. The diploma thesis is mainly focused on income tax of corporate bodies and value added tax.

The theme of the completed diploma thesis is A Marketing Strategy for Protected Work Places of NGOs in South Bohemia. In the theoretical part I focus on the definition and meaning of marketing, stategic management, the marketing process, the marketing environment, the buying behavior of consumers, marketing research. In the next section I describe the legislative basis for protected work places and I name protected work places of NGOs in South Bohemia. Then I describe the employment of people with disabilities, and I attempt to define the concept of a non-profit organization. For completion purposes, I briefly define the term South Bohemia. In the practical part I deal with the results of the research and draft a proposal for marketing strategies for the sale of products from protected work places. The practical part relates to the main goals of the diploma thesis. The first goal of the work was to map out a marketing strategy for protected work places of NGOs in South Bohemia. The second goal was to map out the opinions of the wider public in relation to the purchase of products from protected work places. The first stated hypothesis was: Protected work places of NGOs in South Bohemia do not optimally use the tools of the marketing mix to sell their products. The second stated hypothesis was: A marketing strategy has an effect on the sale of products in protected work places of NGOs in South Bohemia. I chose quantitative research with subsequent statistical data processing. The data was collected through standardized interview techniques and surveys. In both cases, the improbability of sampling techniques was used. The basic collection in terms of quantitative research was the management of protected work places of NGOs in South Bohemia and the wider public. Through standardized telephone interviews, the chosen collection of required data for the research was acquired. Due to the chosen technology. The survey, which in its form came close to being a questionnaire, was used in this thesis as an additional source of information, and was also used to acquire the primary data from the chosen sample. The sample was chosen at random. There were 94 total respondents. Through the research results which are related to the first goal, we can say that the explanatory function of the first hypothesis was not confirmed. In fact, protected work places of NGOs in South Bohemia use optimal tools of the marketing mix for the sale of their products. From the research results which are related to the second goal, we can say that the explanatory function of the second hypothesis was confirmed. With certainty we can say that a marketing strategy has an effect on the sale of products of protected work places of NGOs in South Bohemia.From the research results of controlled interviews with management of protected work places, it is evident that in addition to the long-term interests of the organization, protected work places are beginning to be interested in the desires and needs of their customers. They prefer segmented marketing, they monitor their competitors and concern themselves with competitive advantage. On the other hand, they do not engage in comprehensive marketing research and they do not create strategic marketing plans. In terms of the marketing mix, it was discovered that the quality of the products is important to those surveyed. In the communication mix, organizations mainly work with tools which can be used with lower costs.The research results of the wider public showed that the majority of respondents are aware of protected work places, but they consider their products to be unavailable. The main reason for the purchase of products from protected work places is to provide financial assistance. While respondents expect quality and attractively designed products for which they are willing to pay a higher price, the decisive incentive for the purchase may be lower-price products.

The work deals with participation within non-state non-profit organizations for children and youngsters. It is focused on possibilities and usage of participation in two biggest civic associations in the Czech Republic ? Junák and Pionýr. In the first part of the thesis, the term participation is defined and the resources which it is based on and which it uses are explained. The basic division of participation is mentioned as well as the necessity of education of individuals towards everyday participation. Another part of the researched issues is non-profit sector and that is why the second part of the paper concerns the characteristic of non-state non-profit organizations and it outlines possible employment of participation in this area. The third part deals with possibilities and realization of participation in Junák and Pionýr. Based on the analysis of selected documents of both the organizations, the research itself concentrates on the phenomenon of participation in basic units of these organizations and their participation in the life of society. The findings are evaluated and mutually compared.

The purpose of the Diploma work is to define the structure and rate of the source base level of the organizations working in the field of amateur sports in the Vysočina Region, to identify the accessibility of the individual sources (especially from the point of the time costs and fund exigence, sustainability and eligibility, to find out if the receipts are one-off or repeated ones etc) and to find out how the organizations evaluate preference, what possible risks and uncertainties they connect with drawing from the sources and what organizations evaluate effectiveness of their efforts made for drawing from the individual sources. The aim of this work is to analyse the current situation of financing of Nongovernmental Non-Profit Organizations active in the Sphere of Sports Activities in the Vysočina Region, on the foundations of analysis formulate the concrete recommendation of improvement the structure of the source base and to offer the variant of the structure and proportion of the sources that, from the point of view of the questioned organizations, seem to be the most suitable one.

The barchelor's thesis is focused on analysing of financing of non-profit organisation. The theoretical part describes basic terms, issues and options for financing of non-profit organisation. The thesis is also focused on legal forms and changes, which are related to the New Civil Code. The practical part describes activities and fundings of Audabiac o.s. for the time period of 2009 -- 2012. In the conclusion of this barchelor's thesis is Audabiac o.s. evaluated by the Analysis of reliability of non-profit organisation ASNO14.

This thesis focus on strategic analysis of NGO. The first part describes theoretical strategic tools that are used in the second part to analyse specific organization. The organization is called Junák-svaz skautů a skautek ČR and it is a scout organization of the Czech Republic. It is the biggest Czech organization that provides leisure time activities for children and young people. The aim of this thesis is to analyse its position on the market of leisure activities and to indicate possibilities of its future development.

Master's thesis entitled "Mission in the Life of Organization" explores the phenomenon of mission. The work is closely focused on the area related to non-profit organizations that provide social services for the target group of seniors. In the theoretical part is mission defined by recognized standards of quality of social services and from the perspective of literature. Furthermore I view it in the context of the needs and size of the target group and social demand backing group organization. Subsequent chapters are devoted to the topic of mission in context of strategic planning, fundraising, public relations and ultimately organization culture. In the empirical part I present the implementation of qualitative research. The research was conducted using a case study approach in two registered organizations providing social services to seniors. The aim was to answer the research question: How do perceive the mission of organization its employees? Research was conducted through semi- structured interviews methods. The result is the following statement, which is valid for both cases: All employees are able to interpret the mission of their organization through their own values and experiences. Whether the employee's mission is shared or not shared, or employees consider it to be part of a formal, is...

This thesis deals with a strategy of non-profit organization on a concrete example of the civic association ZaKladno. ZaKladno is still relatively short-lived organization, which is still developing. Practice shows that for subsequent systematic and efficient development of the organization is need for a strategic plan. Creating a realistic strategic plan is the goal of this thesis. The theoretical part deals with the principles and legislation of the non-profit sector in the Czech Republic. The methodology of the theoretical part is based on a literature review. The practical part consists of a description of the current state of the cultural sector in the Czech Republic, principles of operation of civic association ZaKladno and especially a draft strategic plan for the association. The conclusion discusses the confirmation or refutation of hypotheses and outlines other problems to solve.

The bachelor thesis introduces various organizations that deal with the problematics of the Roma ethnic group. It is focused on the contemporary situation of the Roma and for Roma organisations in the Czech Republic, their provided services and the way of their financial support. The work also gives information of the representative organizations which provide mainly free time programs for Roma kids and teenagers and it introduces their particular activities. The essential meaning of streetwork and the institutions focused on the children and teenagers from the socially weak environment is explained here as well. The problematics of Roma children educational proces is also mentioned. The practical part of the thesis concentrates on the Daytime centre for the kids and teenagers in Žďár nad Sázavou. Its contemporary condition and merit of the programmes are evaluated here.

The presented thesis is entitled The Role of Non-Governmental Organization in the Care of Down Syndrome People. The theoretical part of the thesis characterizes Down syndrome and defines all the forms of this disability and its impact on personality. It lists available forms of care and appropriate treatment, that help people with Down syndrome to improve the quality of their lives. The attention is specifically focused on non-governmental organizations. The author chose and elaborated this thesis because she believes in the sense and efficiency of NGOs operation. The empirical part brings the analysis of the collected data within the joint research using the methods of an interview and a questionnaire. By means of these methods the thesis introduces two organizations that focus on helping Down syndrome people in the Czech Republic and provides results that respond to the given research questions about the role of NGOs in the care of Down syndrome individuals. Furthermore, this part compares the extent to which they fulfill their mission and scope of services offered. The closing part brings the results of the survey, where the respondents were the parents using the services of NGOs, and these results are confronted with the interviews held with the management representatives of these organizations thus creating space for more objective evaluation. Secondarily, there are some suggestions about the possible direction of both organizations in the future.

Bachelor work is designated to include non ? government non ? profit organizations in integrated rescue system in the Plzeň region. Theoretical part is interested in outlining of basic notions, definitions, forms of humanitarian and psychosocial help during exceptional events and principles which govern this help. In details are described several non ? governmental non ? profit organizations, which provide humanitarian, psychosocial and preventive educational activity in the Plzeň region.. The practical part contains analysis for level of knowledge and information capability from members of Fire Rescue Service and a group of volunteers about the role of non ? government non ? profit organizations in frame work of participation in integrated rescue system in the Plzeň region.

The aim of the thesis is implementation of the strategic analysis for the non-governmental organization Domov Sue Ryder, o.p.s. and to identify all the factors which have impact on its economy. The work deals with the effects of the external environment and the internal resources, which are available for the organization. There was used PEST analysis for analysis of the micro-environment. I have identified all the factors that affect the firm's ability to satisfy customer needs in section related to the micro-environment. These are members in the sector of social services for elderly. They form competition or support for the organization. The important part is also the synthesis of the results of the strategic analysis. There are listed strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The conclusion summarizes the most important information. There are suggested recommendations to management for improving.

The thesis compares funding of domiciliary services in the administration district of České Budějovice, the municipality with the extended scope of performance. In the theoretical part I focus on the history of the development of domiciliary social services provided on site and I define the social service at first. Then, I identify the different specifics of social services and their characteristics. Attention is also devoted to funding of social services in the Czech Republic and European countries. I also show the differences in management in the non-profit sector. The most important section of the thesis analyzes domiciliary service and gives its definition. Further, the thesis contains practical part, which compares the collected data on the domiciliary services. It specifies services provided within the domiciliary services, funds granted for the service, number of clients, basic information on providers and their pricelists. The data were collected as of the last quarter of 2011. The target of the thesis was to compare the income and expenditures of the domiciliary services provided in the administration district of České Budějovice, the municipality with the extended scope of performance. For the applied methodology I selected qualitative research and the secondary analysis of data as the applied method. The conducted research analysed four types of services provided in the administration district. The original hypothesis of the thesis that the assessed providers have identical average cost per 1 user proved to be invalid.
