Researchers at Fujian Agricultural and Forestry University in China have developed active food packaging films using nanocomposites. The films incorporate carboxylated-cellulose nanocrystal stabilized oregano essential oil (OEO) Pickering emulsion and ZnO nanoparticles (ZNPs) into konjac glucomannan (KGM)/carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCS) complexes. Researchers from Fuzhou University in Fujian, China have developed a multicolor biosensor for hyaluronidase (HAase) using gold nanoclusters. By adjusting the aggregation state of bovine serum albumin-coated gold nanoclusters, the researchers were able to regulate the enzyme-mimicking catalytic activity.
