Gastrointestinal (GI) environment is influenced by several factors (gender, genetics, sex, disease state, food) leading to oral drug absorption variability or to low bioavailability. In this scenario, gastroretentive drug delivery systems (GRDDS) have been developed in order to solve absorption problems, to lead to a more effective local therapy or to allow sustained drug release during a longer time period than the typical oral sustained release dosage forms. Among all GRDDS, floating systems seem to provide a promising and practical approach for achieving a long intra-gastric residence time and sustained release profile. In the last years, a novel technique is being used to manufacture this kind of systems: three-dimensional (3D) printing technology. This technique provides a versatile and easy process to manufacture personalized drug delivery systems. This work presents a systematic review of the main 3D printing based designs proposed up to date to manufacture floating systems. We have also summarized the most important parameters involved in buoyancy and sustained release of the systems, in order to facilitate the scale up of this technology to industrial level. Vesicants are chemical warfare agents (CWAs) capable of causing severe skin damage and systemic toxicity. Melatonin, known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, can mitigate the effects of these agents. Self-nano-emulsifying drug delivery systems (SNEDDS) containing a high melatonin concentration (5 %, 50 mg/g) were optimized using a quality-by-design approach from biocompatible, non-irritant excipients with a particle size of about 100 nm. The melatonin-loaded SNEDDS showed a 43-fold greater permeability than a conventional melatonin cream. Chemical stability at ambient temperature (25 °C) was maintained for one year. The preparation of optimised melatonin-loaded SNEDDS using a simple mixing method was compared to microfluidic micromixers. Mixing was successfully achieved using a 3D-printed (fused deposition modeling or stereolithography) T-shaped toroidal microfluidic chip (with a channel geometry optimized by computational fluid dynamics), resulting in a scalable, continuous process for the first time with a substantial reduction in preparation time compared to other conventional mixing approaches. No statistically significant differences were observed in the key quality attributes, such as particle size and melatonin loading, between mixing method till kinetic equilibrium solubility is reached and mixing using the 3D-printed micromixers. Oral administration of peptide represents a promising delivery route, however, it is hindered by the harsh gastrointestinal environment, leading to low in vivo absorption. In this study, auto-adaptive protein corona-AT 1002-cationic liposomes (Pc-AT-CLs) are constructed with the characteristic of hydrophilic and electrically neutral surface properties for the encapsulation of liraglutide. BSA protein corona is used to coat AT-CLs reducing the adherence of mucus, and may fall off after penetrating the mucus layer. Transmucus transport experiment demonstrated that the mucus penetration amount of Pc-AT-CLs are 1.45 times that of AT-CLs. After penetrating the mucus layer, AT-CLs complete transmembrane transport by the dual action of AT and cationic surface properties. Transmembrane transport experiment demonstrated that the apparent permeability coefficient (P app ) of AT-CLs is 2.03 times that of CLs. In vivo tests demonstrated that Pc-AT-CLs exhibited a significant hypoglycemic effect and enhanced the relative bioavailability comparing to free liraglutide. Mathematical modeling of drug release from drug delivery systems is crucial for understanding and optimizing formulations. This research provides a comparative mathematical analysis of drug release from lipid-based nanoparticles. Drug release profiles from various types of lipid nanoparticles, including liposomes, nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs), solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs), and nano/micro-emulsions (NEMs/MEMs), were extracted from the literature and used to assess the suitability of eight conventional mathematical release models. For each dataset, several metrics were calculated, including the coefficient of determination (R 2 ), adjusted R 2 , the number of errors below certain thresholds (5%, 10%, 12%, and 20%), Akaike information criterion (AIC), regression sum square (RSS), regression mean square (RMS), residual sum of square (rSS), and residual mean square (rMS). The Korsmeyer-Peppas model ranked highest among the evaluated models, with the highest adjusted R 2 values of 0.95 for NLCs and 0.93 for other liposomal drug delivery systems. The Weibull model ranked second, with adjusted R 2 values of 0.92 for liposomal systems, 0.94 for SLNs, and 0.82 for NEMs/MEMs. Thus, these two models appear to be more effective in forecasting and characterizing the release of lipid nanoparticle drugs, potentially making them more suitable for upcoming research endeavors., (© 2024. Since human skin is an immune organ, a large number of immune cells are distributed in the epidermis and the dermis of the skin. Transdermal immunotherapy shows great therapeutic advantages in innate immunotherapy and adaptive immunotherapy. To solve the problem that macromolecules are difficult to penetrate into the skin, the microneedle technology can directly break through the skin barrier using micron-sized needles in a non-invasive and painless way for transdermal drug delivery. Therefore, it is considered to be an effective technology to increase drug transdermal absorption. In this review, the types of preparation, the combinations with different techniques and the mechanisms of microneedles in transdermal immunotherapy were summarized. Compared with traditional immunotherapy like intramuscular injection and subcutaneous injection, the microneedle has many advantages in transdermal immunotherapy, such as reducing patient pain, enhancing vaccine stability, and inducing stronger immune responses. Pharmacological research has expanded to the nanoscale level with advanced imaging technologies, enabling the analysis of drug distribution at the cellular organelle level. These advances in research techniques have contributed to the targeting of cellular organelles to address the fundamental causes of diseases. Beyond navigating the hurdles of reaching lesion tissues upon administration and identifying target cells within these tissues, controlling drug accumulation at the organelle level is the most refined method of disease management. This approach opens new avenues for the development of more potent therapeutic strategies by delving into the intricate roles and interplay of cellular organelles. Thus, organelle-targeted approaches help overcome the limitations of conventional therapies by precisely regulating functionally compartmentalized spaces based on their environment. This review discusses the basic concepts of organelle targeting research and proposes strategies to target diseases arising from organelle dysfunction. Brain-targeted drug delivery poses a great challenge due to the blood-brain barrier (BBB). In a previous study, we have developed a peptide-modified stealth liposome (SP-sLip) to enhance BBB penetration via the adsorption of apolipoproteins in plasma. SP is an 11-amino acid peptide derived from 25 to 35 of the Amyloid β peptide (Aβ 1-42 ), which is a nature ligand of apolipoproteins. Although freshly prepared SP-sLip exhibited efficient brain targeting performance, it occured self-aggregation and instability in storage. In this study, we developed a D-peptide ligand according to the reverse sequence of SP with D-amino acids, known as D SP, to improve the stability in storage. Notably, D SP exhibited a reduced tendency for self-aggregation and improved stability in comparison to the SP peptide. Furthermore, compared to SP-sLip, D SP-modified sLip ( D SP-sLip) demonstrated enhanced stability (>2 weeks), prolonged blood circulation (AUC increased 44.4%), reduced liver and spleen accumulation (reduced by 2.23 times and 1.86 times) with comparable brain-targeting efficiency. Similar to SP-sLip, D SP-sLip selectively adsorbed apolipoprotein A1, E, and J in the blood to form functionalized protein corona, thus crossing BBB via apolipoprotein receptor-mediated transcytosis. Camptothecin (CPT) is a monoterpenoid indole alkaloid with a wide spectrum of anticancer activity. However, its application is hindered by poor solubility, lack of targeting specificity, and severe side effects. Structural derivatization of CPT and the development of suitable drug delivery systems are potential strategies for addressing these issues. In this study, we discovered that the protein Cytochrome P450 Family 1 Subfamily A Member 1 (CYP1A1) from Homo sapiens catalyzes CPT to yield 9-hydroxycamptothecin (9-HCPT), which exhibits increased water solubility and cytotoxicity. We then created a RNA-protein complex based drug delivery system with enzyme and pH responsiveness and improved the targeting and stability of the nanomedicine through protein module assembly. The subcellular localization of nanoparticles can be visualized using fluorescent RNA probes. Background: Sick neonates with haemodynamic instability often require complex medication regimens, which may result in the connection of a catecholamine infusion distally. This increases the dead volume of the infusion system, extending the time to medication delivery. This study evaluated the effects of body weight, and infusion connection point on the delivery rate of two medications infused through a multi-infusion system at infusion rates suitable for extremely and very low birth weight (ELBW and VLBW) neonates., Methods: An infusion system consisting of six infusions was used to investigate time to delivery, drug concentration at time to delivery and quantity of adrenaline and dopamine administered by intravenous infusions at infusion rates suitable for premature neonates., Results: In an ELBW neonate model, the measured adrenaline and dopamine concentration at 12 T was higher than expected (66.7 (7.5)% (mean (SD)) and 68.0 (4.4)%, respectively, P < 0.001). At the calculated time to delivery, neither drug reached target concentration. In a VLBW neonate model, the measured adrenaline and dopamine concentration at 12 T was higher than expected (92.2 (7.1)% and 97.1 (3.1)%, respectively, P < 0.001). Adrenaline reached target concentration at 27 (11) min and dopamine at 56 (12) min, times significantly shorter than calculated. As a key pathological feature of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC), the dense extracellular matrix(ECM) limits the penetration of chemotherapy drugs and is involved in the formation of immunosuppressive microenvironment. Meanwhile, clinical practice has shown that the treatment strategy for ECM should consider its restriction of tumor cell metastasis, and the need for in-depth chemotherapy without destroying ECM is proposed. STAT3 inhibitors have been reported to regulate tumor microenvironment including interrupt the form of ECM. Therefore, we designed and established a micelle system MP@HA with in vivo targeting and responsive drug release function co-loading gemcitabine monophosphate and STAT3 inhibitor silibinin. The hyaluronic acid on the surface of the micelle can bind specifically to the CD44 molecule on the surface of tumor cells and help micelles accumulate at the tumor site. The nitroimidazole used to modify the polymeric skeleton can make the micellar structure collapse in response to hypoxia reduction conditions in the tumor environment, and release silibinin to widely regulate STAT3 molecules in the PDAC microenvironment. The polymer fragment attached with gemcitabine monophosphate can penetrate deep into PDAC tumors due to its small size and positive charge exposed, achieving deep chemotherapy. Hydrogel-forming microneedle array patches (HFMAPs) are microneedles that create microconduits upon insertion and swelling in the skin, potentially allowing prolonged drug delivery without generating sharps waste. Delivering hydrophobic drugs using HFMAPs poses challenges, which can be addressed using solubility enhancers such as cyclodextrins (CDs). This study aimed to deliver risperidone (RIS) transdermally using HFMAPs. To enhance the aqueous solubility of RIS hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) and hydroxypropyl-gamma-cyclodextrin (HP-γ-CD) were utilised and their performance was tested using phase solubility studies. The aqueous solubility of RIS was enhanced by 4.75-fold and 2-fold using HP-β-CD and HP-γ-CD, respectively. RIS-HP-β-CD complex (CX) and physical mixture (PM) directly compressed tablets were prepared and combined with HFMAPs. Among the tested formulations, RIS-HP-β-CD PM reservoirs with 11 x 11 PVA/PVP HFMAPs exhibited the best performance in ex vivo studies and were further evaluated in in vivo experiments using female Sprague Dawley rats. The extended wear time of the MAPs resulted in the sustained release of RIS and its active metabolite 9-hydroxyrisperidone (9-OH-RIS) in plasma samples, lasting from 3 to 5 days with a 1-day application and up to 10 days with a 5-day application. For a 1-day application, HFMAPs showed greater systemic exposure to RIS compared to intramuscular control (AUC 0-t : 13330.05 ± 2759.95 ng/mL/hour versus 2706 ± 1472 ng/mL/hour). Moreover, RIS exposure was extended to 5 days (AUC 0-t : 12292.37 ± 1801.94 ng/mL/hour). Melanoma is a common malignant tumor, with a five-year mortality rate as high as 62% in cases of metastatic melanoma according to cancer statistics (2024). In recent years, the focus of melanoma research has predominantly centered on immunotherapy and targeted therapy, grappling with challenges such as resistance and immunogenicity. The discovery of nanoparticles (NPs) has brought nano-delivery systems to the forefront of melanoma diagnosis and treatment. Although certain NPs, like liposomes, have gained clinical approval, utilizing most nano-delivery systems for melanoma diagnosis and treatment remains largely exploratory. The inherent limitations of NPs present a major obstacle to their clinical translation. By selecting suitable nanocarriers and functionalizing NPs to optimize nano-delivery systems, and combining these systems with other therapies, it is possible to reduce the systemic toxicity and resistance associated with conventional therapies and the NPs themselves. This optimization could significantly improve the effectiveness of nano-delivery systems in the early detection and timely treatment of melanoma. However, there have been few reviews on the optimization of NPs and the combined application of other therapies in the treatment and diagnostic application of melanoma in the past three years. This review summarizes the latest applications of nano-delivery systems in the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma over the past three years, including innovations and achievements in both preclinical and clinical studies, offering new perspectives on their potential and future application prospects. Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Despite significant advances in current drug therapies, issues such as poor drug targeting and severe side effects persist. In recent years, nanomedicine has been extensively applied in the research and treatment of CVDs. Among these, biomembrane-modified biomimetic nanodrug delivery systems (BNDSs) have emerged as a research focus due to their unique biocompatibility and efficient drug delivery capabilities. By modifying with biological membranes, BNDSs can effectively reduce recognition and clearance by the immune system, enhance biocompatibility and circulation time in vivo, and improve drug targeting. This review first provides an overview of the classification and pathological mechanisms of CVDs, then systematically summarizes the research progress of BNDSs in the treatment of CVDs, discussing their design principles, functional characteristics, and clinical application potential. Finally, it highlights the issues and challenges faced in the clinical translation of BNDSs.

Neurodegenerative disorders are complex, progressive, and life-threatening. They cause mortality and disability for millions of people worldwide. Appropriate treatment for neurodegenerative diseases (NDs) is still clinically lacking due to the presence of the blood-brain barrier (BBB). Developing an effective transport system that can cross the BBB and enhance the therapeutic effect of neuroprotective agents has been a major challenge for NDs. Exosomes are endogenous nano-sized vesicles that naturally carry biomolecular cargoes. Many studies have indicated that exosome content, particularly microRNAs (miRNAs), possess biological activities by targeting several signaling pathways involved in apoptosis, inflammation, autophagy, and oxidative stress. Exosome content can influence cellular function in healthy or pathological ways. Furthermore, since exosomes reflect the features of the parental cells, their cargoes offer opportunities for early diagnosis and therapeutic intervention of diseases. Exosomes have unique characteristics that make them ideal for delivering drugs directly to the brain. These characteristics include the ability to pass through the BBB, biocompatibility, stability, and innate targeting properties. This review emphasizes the role of exosomes in alleviating NDs and discusses the associated signaling pathways and molecular mechanisms. Controllable heparin-release is of great importance and necessity for the precise anticoagulant regulation. Efforts have been made on designing heparin-releasing systems, while, it remains a great challenge for gaining the external-stimuli responsive heparin-release in either intravenous or catheter delivery. In this study, an azobenzene-containing ammonium surfactant is designed and synthesized for the fabrication of photoresponsive heparin ionic complexes through the electrostatic complexation with heparin. Under the assistance of photoinduced trans-cis isomerization of azobenzene, the obtained heparin materials perform reversible athermal phase transition between ordered crystalline and isotropic liquid state at room temperature. Compared to the ordered state, the formation of isotropic state can effectively improve the dissolving of heparin from ionic materials in aqueous condition, which realizes the photo-modulation on the concentration of free heparin molecules. With good biocompatibility, such a heparin-releasing system addresses photoresponsive anticoagulation in both in vitro and in vivo biological studies, confirming its great potential clinical values. Chondrosarcoma(CS), a prevalent primary malignant bone tumor, frequently exhibits chemotherapy resistance attributed to upregulated anti-apoptosis pathways such as the Bcl-2 family. In this manuscript, a new strategy is presented to augment chemosensitivity and mitigate systemic toxicity by harnessing a nano-enabled drug delivery hydrogel platform. The platform utilizes "PLGA-PEG-PLGA", an amphiphilic triblock copolymer combining hydrophilic polyethylene glycol (PEG) and hydrophobic polylactide glycolide (PLGA) blocks, renowned for its properties conducive to crafting a biodegradable, temperature-sensitive hydrogel. This platform is tailored to encapsulate a ratiometrically designed dual-loaded liposomes containing a first-line chemo option for CS, Doxorubicin (Dox), plus a calculated amount of small molecule inhibitor for anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 pathway, ABT-737. In vitro and in vivo evaluations demonstrate successful Bcl-2 suppression, resulting in the restoration of Dox sensitivity, evident through impeded tumor growth and amplified necrosis rates at the tumor site. This delivery system showcases remarkable thermal responsiveness, injectability, and biodegradability, all finely aligned with the clinical demands of CS treatment. Block copolymer micelles, formed by the self-assembly of amphiphilic polymers, address formulation challenges, such as poor drug solubility and permeability. These micelles offer advantages including a smaller size, easier preparation, sterilization, and superior solubilization, compared with other nanocarriers. Preclinical studies have shown promising results, advancing them toward clinical trials. Their mucoadhesive properties enhance and prolong contact with the ocular surface, and their small size allows deeper penetration through tissues, such as the cornea. Additionally, copolymeric micelles improve the solubility and stability of hydrophobic drugs, sustain drug release, and allow for surface modifications to enhance biocompatibility. Despite these benefits, long-term stability remains a challenge. Carrier materials always account for the majority particularly in nanosized formulations, which are administrated along with the active ingredient part might result in metabolism related toxicity. The usage of bioactive excipients could not only reduce the sided effect but also provide additional therapeutic effects. In the present study, a triterpene based micellar drug delivery system was developed using a bioactive solanesol derivative. Solanesylamine was prepared firstly followed by conjugating with poly (ethylene glycol) using maleic acid amide linkage. The amphiphilic drug carrier PEGylated (2-propyl-3-methylmaleic acid)-block-solanesol amine (mPEG-CDM-NH-SOL) could be formed into micelles and loaded with doxorubicin (DOX) inside. The micelles were about 112 nm in size and the drug loading content was about 5.97 wt%. An acid triggered drug release behavior was obviously observed for the DOX loaded pH-sensitive micelle mPEG-CDM-NH-SOL-DOX. While not for DOX-loaded micelles without pH-sensitivity (mPEG-NHS-NH-SOL). Since the beginning of nanoscience and nanotechnology, carbon dots (CDs) have been the foundational idea and have dominated the growth of the nano-field. CDs are an intriguing platform for utilization in biology, technology, catalysis, and other fields thanks to their numerous distinctive structural, physicochemical, and photochemical characteristics. Since several carbon dots have already been created, they have been assessed based on their synthesis process, and luminescence characteristics. Due to their biocompatibility, less toxic effects, and most significantly their fluorescent features in contrast to other carbon nanostructures, CDs have several benefits. This review focuses on the most recent advancements in the characterization, applications, and synthesis techniques used for CDs made from natural sources. It will also direct scientists in the creation of a synthesis technique for adjustable carbon dots that is more practical, effective, and environmentally benign. With low toxicity and low cost, CDs are meeting the new era's requirements for more selectivity and sensitivity in the detection and sensing of various things, such as biomaterial sensing, enzymes, chemical contamination, and temperature sensing. Heterobifunctional small molecule degraders are a subset of targeted protein degraders (TPDs), consisting of two ligands joined by a linker to induce proteasomal degradation of a target protein. As compared to traditional small molecules these compounds generally demonstrate inflated physicochemical properties, which may require innovative formulation strategies to enable their delivery and exert pharmacodynamic effect. The blood brain barrier (BBB) serves an essential function in human physiology, but its presence requires advanced approaches for treating central nervous system (CNS) diseases. By integrating emerging modalities like TPDs with conventional concepts of drug delivery, novel strategies to overcome the BBB can be developed. Amongst the available routes, lipid and polymer-based long-acting delivery seems to be the most amenable to TPDs, due to their ability to encapsulate lipophilic cargo and potential to be functionalized for targeted delivery. Another key consideration will be understanding E3 ligase expression in the different regions of the brain. Discovery of new brain or CNS disease specific E3 ligases could help overcome some of the barriers currently associated with CNS delivery of TPDs. Autophagy, a lysosomal self-degradation pathway, plays a critical role in cellular homeostasis by degrading endogenous damaged organelles and protein aggregates into recyclable biological molecules. Additionally, it detoxifies extracellular toxic substances, including drugs and toxic materials, thereby preserving the stability of the intracellular environment. The swift progression of nanotechnology has led to an increased focus on understanding the relationship between nanomaterials and autophagy. The effects of various nanomaterials and nano drug delivery systems on autophagy and their biological functions have been preliminarily assessed, revealing that modulation of intracellular autophagy levels by these agents represents a novel cellular response mechanism. Notably, autophagy regulation based on nanomaterials or nano drug delivery systems for a range of diseases is currently the subject of extensive research. Given the close association between autophagy levels and tumors, the regulation of autophagy has emerged as a highly active area of research in the development of innovative tumor therapies. This review synthesizes the current understanding of the application of nanomaterials or nano drug delivery systems on autophagy and their potential biological functions, suggesting a new avenue for nanomaterial-based autophagy regulation.

The push-pull osmotic pump tablet is a promising drug delivery approach, offering advantages over traditional dosage forms in achieving consistent and predictable drug release rates. In the current study, the drug release process of push-pull osmotic pump tablets is modelled for the first time using the discrete element method (DEM) incorporated with a microscopic diffusion-induced swelling model. The effects of dosage and formulation design, such as delivery orifice size, drug-to-polymer ratio, tablet surface curvature, friction between particles and cohesion of polymer particles, on the drug release performance are systematically analysed. Numerical results reveal that an enlarged delivery orifice significantly increases both the total drug release and the drug release rate. Moreover, the larger the swellable particle component in the tablet, the higher the drug release rate. Furthermore, the tablet surface curvature is found to affect the drug release profile, i.e. the final drug release percentage increases with the increasing tablet surface curvature. It is also found that the drug release rate could be controlled by adjusting the inter-particle friction and the cohesion of polymer particles in the formulation. Ropivacaine hydrochloride (RPL) is a local anesthetic agent that has been widely used for the treatment of pain during or after surgery. However, this drug is only available in parenteral dosage form and may contribute to the infiltration of RPL into the plasma, causing some undesirable side effects. Intradermal delivery of RPL using dissolving microneedles may become a promising strategy to deliver such drugs into the skin. This research aimed to develop RPL-loaded dissolving microneedles (DMN-RPLs) as a proof of the concept of intradermal delivery of a local anesthetic. The DMN-RPLs were fabricated using either centrifugation or air-pressurized chamber methods. Several polymers, such as poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP), poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA), and sodium hyaluronate (SH), were utilized for manufacturing the DMN-RPLs. The prepared DMN-RPLs were assessed for their thermal properties, chemical bonds, mechanical strength, insertion ability, skin-dissolution study, and drug content. Furthermore, in-skin deposition and dermatokinetic studies were also performed. The results showed that F9 (30 % w/w PVP-4 % w/w SH) and F10 (30 % w/w PVP-5 % w/w PVA) containing 5 % w/w of RPL were the most promising formulations, as shown by their needle height reduction (<10 %) and insertion depth (∼400 μm). Both formulations were also able to deliver more than 60 % of the RPL contained in the DMNs into the epidermis, dermis, and receiver compartment. This review aimed to systematically investigate the intracellular and subcellular fate of various types of targeting carriers. Upon entering the body via intravenous injection or other routes, a targeting carrier that can deliver therapeutic agents initiates their journey. If administered intravenously, the carrier initially faces challenges presented by the blood circulation before reaching specific tissues and interacting with cells within the tissue. At the subcellular level, the car2rier undergoes processes, such as drug release, degradation, and metabolism, through specific pathways. While studies on the fate of 13 types of carriers have been relatively conclusive, these studies are incomplete and lack a comprehensive analysis. Furthermore, there are still carriers whose fate remains unclear, underscoring the need for continuous research. This study highlights the importance of comprehending the in vivo and intracellular fate of targeting carriers and provides valuable insights into the operational mechanisms of different carriers within the body. In the present work, a simple and efficient stirring method was used to successfully synthesize a novel multifunctional carbon dots-drug delivery system AMP-CDs@5-Fu in the form of intertwined filaments. The results showed that AMP-CDs@5-Fu had the highest final release in the medium mimicking the physiological environment of the human small intestine compared to that of 5-Fu and that the drug release behaviors followed a zero-grade drug release within the first 3 h. The results also showed that AMP-CDs@5-Fu could be used to reduce the toxicity of 5-Fu while significantly improving the anticancer ability. In vitro hemolysis and anticancer assays showed that AMP-CDs@5-Fu could significantly improve the anticancer ability while decreasing the toxicity of 5-Fu, and the hemolysis rate of AMP-CDs@5-Fu was significantly lower than that of 5-Fu; their IC 50 against 4T1 cancer cells were 201.63 ± 8.94 µg 5-Fu/mL and 241.24 ± 11.05 µg 5- Fu/mL. In addition, AMP-CDs@5-Fu allowed clear cell imaging. Therefore, AMP-CDs@5-Fu is expected to improve the bioavailability of 5-Fu as a novel oral agent with fluorescent properties and very promising as a novel fluorescence tracking drug loading system, which is expected to be used in the field of anticancer targeted therapy and fluorescence tracking to monitor the distribution of drugs., (© 2023. Nintedanib, a primary treatment for lung fibrosis, has gathered substantial attention due to its multifaceted potential. A tyrosine kinase inhibitor, nintedanib, inhibits multiple signalling receptors, including endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR), platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR), and fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) and ultimately inhibits fibroblast proliferation and differentiation. Therefore, nintedanib has been studied widely for other ailments like cancers and hepatic fibrosis, apart from lung disorders. Commercially, nintedanib is available as soft gelatin capsules for treatment against idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Since it has very low oral bioavailability (4.7%), high doses of a drug, such as 100-150 mg, are administered, which can cause problems of gastrointestinal irritation and hepatotoxicity. The article begins with exploring the mechanism of action of nintedanib, elucidating its complex interactions within cellular pathways that govern fibrotic processes. It also emphasizes the pharmacokinetics of nintedanib, clinical trial insights, and the limitations of conventional formulations. The article mainly focuses on the emerging landscape of nanoparticle-based carriers such as hybrid liposome-exosome, nano liquid crystals, discoidal polymeric, and magnetic systems, offering promising avenues to optimize drug targeting, address its efficacy issues and minimise adverse effects. However, none of these delivery systems are commercialised, and further research is required to ensure safety and effectiveness in clinical settings. During the last decades, the ever-increasing incidence of diseases has led to high rates of mortality throughout the world. On the other hand, the inability and deficiencies of conventional approaches (such as chemotherapy) in the suppression of diseases remain challenging issues. As a result, there is a fundamental requirement to develop novel, biocompatible, bioavailable, and practical nanomaterials to prevent the incidence and mortality of diseases. Chitosan (CS) derivatives and their blends are outstandingly employed as promising drug delivery systems for disease therapy. These biopolymers are indicated more efficient performance against diseases compared with conventional modalities. The CS blends possess improved physicochemical properties, ease of preparation, high affordability, etc. characteristics compared with other biopolymers and even pure CS which result in efficient thermal, mechanical, biochemical, and biomedical features. Therapeutic proteins provided new opportunities for patients and high sales volumes. However, they are formulated for extracellular targets. The lipophilic barrier of the plasma membrane renders the vast array of intracellular targets out of reach. Peptide-based delivery systems, namely cell-penetrating peptides (CPPs), have few safety concerns, and low immunogenicity, with control over administered doses. This study investigates CPP-based protein delivery systems by classifying them into CPP-protein "covalent conjugation" and CPP: protein "non-covalent complexation" categories. Covalent conjugates ensure the proximity of the CPP to the cargo, which can improve cellular uptake and endosomal escape. We will discuss various aspects of covalent conjugates through non-cleavable (stable) or cleavable bonds. Non-cleavable CPP-protein conjugates are produced by recombinant DNA technology to express the complete fusion protein in a host cell or by chemical ligation of CPP and protein, which ensures stability during the delivery process. CPP-protein cleavable bonds are classified into pH-sensitive and redox-sensitive bonds, enzyme-cleavable bonds, and physical stimuli cleavable linkers (light radiation, ultrasonic waves, and thermo-responsive). We have highlighted the key characteristics of non-covalent complexes through electrostatic and hydrophobic interactions to preserve the conformational integrity of the CPP and cargo. CPP-mediated protein delivery by non-covalent complexation, such as zippers, CPP adaptor methods, and avidin-biotin technology, are featured. Conclusively, non-covalent complexation methods are appropriate when a high number of CPP or protein samples are to be screened. Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, is commonly prescribed for managing osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and post-surgical pain. However, oral administration of diclofenac often leads to adverse effects. This study introduces an innovative nano-in-micro approach to create diclofenac nanoparticle-loaded microneedle patches aimed at localised, sustained pain relief, circumventing the drawbacks of oral delivery. The nanoparticles were produced via wet-milling, achieving an average size of 200 nm, and then incorporated into microneedle patches. These patches showed improved skin penetration in ex vivo tests using Franz-cell setups compared to traditional diclofenac formulations. In vivo tests on rats revealed that the nanoparticle-loaded microneedle patches allowed for quick drug uptake and prolonged release, maintaining drug levels in tissues for up to 72 h. With a systemic bioavailability of 57 %, these patches prove to be an effective means of transdermal drug delivery. Atherosclerosis (AS) is considered to be one of the major causes of cardiovascular disease. Its pathological microenvironment is characterised by increased production of reactive oxygen species, lipid oxides, and excessive inflammatory factors, which accumulate at the monolayer endothelial cells in the vascular wall to form AS plaques. Therefore, intervention in the pathological microenvironment would be beneficial in delaying AS. Researchers have designed biomimetic nanomedicines with excellent biocompatibility and the ability to avoid being cleared by the immune system through different therapeutic strategies to achieve better therapeutic effects for the characteristics of AS. Biomimetic nanomedicines can further enhance delivery efficiency and improve treatment efficacy due to their good biocompatibility and ability to evade clearance by the immune system. Biomimetic nanomedicines based on therapeutic strategies such as neutralising inflammatory factors, ROS scavengers, lipid clearance and integration of diagnosis and treatment are versatile approaches for effective treatment of AS. The review firstly summarises the targeting therapeutic strategy of biomimetic nanomedicine for AS in recent 5 years. Introduction: Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs), approved by the US FDA for obesity treatment, are typically administered subcutaneously, an invasive method leading to suboptimal patient adherence and peripheral side effects. Additionally, this route requires the drug to cross the restrictive blood-brain barrier (BBB), limiting its safety and effectiveness in weight management and cognitive addiction disorders. Delivering the drug intranasally could overcome these drawbacks., Areas Covered: This review summarizes GLP-1 RAs used as anti-obesity agents, focusing on the intranasal route as a potential pathway to deliver these biomolecules to the brain. It also discusses strategies to overcome challenges associated with nasal delivery., Expert Opinion: Nose-to-brain (N2B) pathways can address limitations of the subcutaneous route for GLP-1 RAs. However, peptide delivery to the brain is challenging due to nasal physiological barriers and the drug's physicochemical properties. Innovative approaches, such as cell permeation enhancers, mucoadhesive systems, and nanocarriers in nasal formulations, along with efficient drug delivery devices, show promising preclinical results. Despite this, successful preclinical data does not guarantee clinical effectiveness, highlighting the need for comprehensive clinical investigations to optimize formulations and fully utilize the nose-to-brain interface for peptide delivery.

Exosomes, endogenous vesicles secreted by cells, possess unique properties like high biocompatibility, low immunogenicity, targeting ability, long half-life, and blood-brain barrier permeability. They serve as crucial intercellular communication vectors in physiological processes and disease occurrence. Our comprehensive analysis of exosome-based drug delivery research from 2013 to 2023 revealed 2,476 authors from 717 institutions across 33 countries. Keyword clustering identified five research areas: drug delivery, mesenchymal stem cells, cancer immunotherapy, targeting ligands, surface modifications, and macrophages. The combination of exosome drug delivery technology with a proven clinical model enables the precise targeting of tumors with chemotherapy or radiosensitising agents, as well as facilitating gene therapy. Dissolving microarray patches (DMAPs) represent an innovative approach to minimally invasive transdermal drug delivery, demonstrating efficacy in delivering both small and large therapeutic molecules. However, concerns raised in end-user surveys have hindered their commercialization efforts. One prevalent issue highlighted in these surveys is the lack of clear indicators for successful patch insertion and removal time. To address this challenge, a color-change-based feedback system is devised, which confirms the insertion and dissolution of DMAPs, aiming to mitigate the aforementioned problems. The approach combines hydrophilic needles containing model drugs (fluorescein sodium and fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-dextran) with a hydrophobic poly(lactic acid) baseplate infused with moisture-sensitive silica gel particles. The successful insertion and subsequent complete dissolution of the needle shaft are indicated by the progressive color change of crystal violet encapsulated in the silica. Notably, distinct color alterations on the baseplate, observed 30 min and 1 h after insertion for FITC-dextran and fluorescein sodium DMAPs respectively, signal the full dissolution of the needles, confirming the complete cargo delivery and enabling timely patch removal. Wound management remains a great challenge for clinicians due to the complex physiological process of wound healing. Porous silicon (PSi) with controlled pore morphology, abundant surface chemistry, unique photonic properties, good biocompatibility, easy biodegradation and potential bioactivity represent an exciting class of materials for various biomedical applications. In this review, we focus on the recent progress of PSi in the design of advanced sensing and delivery systems for wound management applications. Firstly, we comprehensively introduce the common type, normal healing process, delaying factors and therapeutic drugs of wound healing. Subsequently, the typical fabrication, functionalization and key characteristics of PSi have been summarized because they provide the basis for further use as biosensing and delivery materials in wound management. Depending on these properties, the rise of PSi materials is evidenced by the examples in literature in recent years, which has emphasized the robust potential of PSi for wound monitoring, treatment and theranostics. Finally, challenges and opportunities for the future development of PSi-based sensors and delivery systems for wound management applications are proposed and summarized. Nanodrug delivery systems (NDDS) continue to be explored as novel strategies enhance therapy outcomes and combat microbial resistance. The need for the formulation of smart drug delivery systems for targeting infection sites calls for the engineering of responsive chemical designs such as dynamic covalent bonds (DCBs). Stimuli response due to DCBs incorporated into nanosystems are emerging as an alternative way to target infection sites, thus enhancing the delivery of antibacterial agents. This leads to the eradication of bacterial infections and the reduction of antimicrobial resistance. Incorporating DCBs on the backbone of the nanoparticles endows the systems with several properties, including self-healing, controlled disassembly, and stimuli responsiveness, which are beneficial in the delivery and release of the antimicrobial at the infection site. This review provides a comprehensive and current overview of conventional DCBs-based nanosystems, stimuli-responsive DCBs-based nanosystems, and targeted DCBs-based nanosystems that have been reported in the literature for antibacterial delivery. The review emphasizes the DCBs used in their design, the nanomaterials constructed, the drug release-triggering stimuli, and the antibacterial efficacy of the reported DCBs-based nanosystems. Microneedles (MNs) are micron-sized needles, typically <2 mm in length, arranged either as an array or as single needle. These MNs offer a minimally invasive approach to ocular drug delivery due to their micron size (reducing tissue damage compared to that of hypodermic needles) and overcoming significant barriers in drug administration. While various types of MNs have been extensively researched, significant progress has been made in the use of hollow MNs (HMNs) for ocular drug delivery, specifically through suprachoroidal injections. The suprachoroidal space, situated between the sclera and choroid, has been targeted using optical coherence tomography-guided injections of HMNs for the treatment of uveitis. Unlike other MNs, HMNs can deliver larger volumes of formulations to the eye. This review primarily focuses on the use of HMNs in ocular drug delivery and explores their ocular anatomy and the distribution of formulations following potential HMN administration routes. Additionally, this review focuses on the influence of formulation characteristics (e.g., solution viscosity, particle size), HMN properties (e.g., bore or lumen diameter, MN length), and routes of administration (e.g., periocular transscleral, suprachoroidal, intravitreal) on the ocular distribution of drugs. In situ gelling systems represent a burgeoning paradigm in ocular drug administration, addressing intrinsic challenges posed by extant ocular formulations, such as compromised bioavailability and constraints in traversing the corneal barrier. This systematic review endeavours to comprehensively examine the contemporary landscape of research in this domain, focusing on the nuanced capabilities of in situ gelling systems to optimize drug delivery and enhance therapeutic outcomes, without much technological complexity. Employing a meticulous search strategy across diverse databases for publications and patents spanning the years 2015 to 2023 a total of 26 research papers and 14 patents meeting stringent inclusion criteria were identified. Synthesizing the collective insights derived from these investigations, it becomes evident that in situ gelling systems confer an ability to protract the residence time of formulations or active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) within the ocular milieu. This sustained presence engenders extended drug release kinetics, thereby fostering improved patient compliance and mitigating the proclivity for side effects attendant to frequent dosing. These salutary effects extend to diminished systemic drug absorption, augmented ocular bioavailability, and the prospect of reduced dosing frequencies, thereby amplifying patient adherence to therapeutic regimens. Intriguingly, the protective attributes of in situ gelling systems extend to the establishment of an ocular surface barrier, thereby abating the susceptibility to infections and inflammatory responses. Protein-based nanoparticles have garnered significant attention in theranostic applications due to their superior biocompatibility, exceptional biodegradability and ease of functionality. Compared to other nanocarriers, protein-based nanoparticles offer additional advantages, including biofunctionality and precise molecular recognition abilities, which make them highly effective in navigating complex biological environments. Moreover, proteins can serve as powerful tools with self-assembling structures and reagents that enhance cell penetration. And their derivation from abundant renewable sources and ability to degrade into harmless amino acids further enhance their suitability for biomedical applications. However, protein-based nanoparticles have so far not realized their full potential. In this review, we summarize recent advances in the use of protein nanoparticles in tumor diagnosis and treatment and outline typical methods for preparing protein nanoparticles. Circadian rhythms influence a range of biological processes within the body, with the central clock or suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) in the brain synchronising peripheral clocks around the body. These clocks are regulated by external cues, the most influential being the light/dark cycle, in order to synchronise with the external day. Chrono-tailored or circadian drug delivery systems (DDS) aim to optimise drug delivery by releasing drugs at specific times of day to align with circadian rhythms within the body. Although this approach is still relatively new, it has the potential to enhance drug efficacy, minimise side effects, and improve patient compliance. Chrono-tailored DDS have been explored and implemented in various conditions, including asthma, hypertension, and cancer. This review aims to introduce the biology of circadian rhythms and provide an overview of the current research on chrono-tailored DDS, with a particular focus on immunological applications and vaccination. Microneedle (MN) delivery devices are more accepted by people than regular traditional needle injections (e.g. vaccination) due to their simplicity and adaptability. Thus, patients of chronic diseases like diabetes look for alternative pain-free treatment regimens circumventing regular subcutaneous injections. Insulin microneedles (INS-MNs) are a thoughtfully researched topic (1) to overcome needle phobia in patients, (2) for controlled delivery of the peptide, (3) decreasing the frequency of drug administration, (4) to ease the drug administration procedure, and (5) thus increasing patient adherence to the treatment dosage regimes. MNs physically disrupt the hard outer skin layer to create minuscule pores for insulin (INS) to pass through the dermal capillaries into the systemic circulation. Biodegradable polymeric MNs are of greater significance for INS and vaccine delivery than silicon, metal, glass, or non-biodegradable polymeric MNs due to their ease of fabrication, mass production, cost-effectiveness, and bioerodability. In recent years, INS-MNs have been researched to deliver INS through the transdermal implants, buccal mucosa, stomach wall, intestinal mucosal layers, and colonic mucosa apart from the usual transdermal delivery. This review focuses on the design characteristics and the applications of biodegradable/dissolvable polymeric INS-MNs in transdermal, intra-oral, gastrointestinal (GI), and implantable delivery. The prospective approaches to formulate safe, controlled-release INS-MNs were highlighted. Biodegradable/dissolvable polymers, their significance, their impact on MN morphology, and INS release characteristics were outlined. The developments in biodegradable polymeric INS-MN technology were briefly discussed. Bio-erodible polymer selection, MN fabrication and evaluation factors, and other design aspects were elaborated.

This review considers the role of in vitro permeation testing (IVPT) for the evaluation of drug delivery from topical formulations applied to the skin. The technique was pioneered by Franz in the 1970's and today remains an important tool in the development, testing and optimization of such topical formulations. An overview of IVPT as well as selection of skin for the experiment, integrity testing of the membrane, and required number of replicate skin samples is discussed. In the literature many researchers have focused solely on permeation and have not reported amounts of the active remaining on and in the skin at the end of the IVPT. Therefore, a particular focus of this article is determination of the complete mass balance of the drug. It is noteworthy that for the evaluation of bioequivalence of topical formulations the draft guideline issued by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) requires the IVPT method to report on both the skin deposition and distribution of the active in the skin as well as amount permeated. Other aspects of current guidance from the EMA and United States Food and Drug Agency for IVPT are also compared and contrasted. Ultimately, harmonisation of IVPT protocols across the regulatory agencies will expedite the development process for novel topical formulations as well as the availability of generic products., (Copyright © 2024 The Author. Colorectal cancer (CRC) is an abnormal proliferation of cells within the colon and rectum, leading to the formation of polyps and disruption of mucosal functions. The disease development is influenced by a combination of factors, including inflammation, exposure to environmental mutagens, genetic alterations, and impairment in signaling pathways. Traditional treatments such as surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy are often used but have limitations, including poor solubility and permeability, treatment resistance, side effects, and post-surgery issues. Novel Drug Delivery Systems (NDDS) have emerged as a superior alternative, offering enhanced drug solubility, precision in targeting cancer cells, and regulated drug release. Thereby addressing the shortcomings of conventional therapies and showing promise for more effective CRC management. The present review sheds light on the pathogenesis, signaling pathways, biomarkers, conventional treatments, need for NDDS, and application of NDDS against CRC. Recently, transmucosal drug delivery systems (TDDSs) have been extensively studied because they protect therapeutic agents from degradation; improve drug residence time at the mucosal membranes; and facilitate sustained drug release for a prolonged period. Chitosan is a well-researched polymeric excipient due to its biocompatibility, non-toxicity, biodegradability, mucoadhesive, antimicrobial, and low immunogenicity. Its limited mucoadhesiveness in the physiological environment necessitated its chemical modification. This review highlights the recent advances in the chemical modification of chitosan with various chemical groups to generate various functionalized chitosan derivatives, such as thiolated, acrylated, methacrylated, boronated, catechol, and maleimide-functionalized chitosans with superior mucoadhesive capabilities compared to the parent chitosan. Moreover, it presents the different prepared dosage forms, such as tablets, hydrogels, films, micro/nanoparticles, and liposomes/niosomes for drug administration within various mucosal routes including oral, buccal, nasal, ocular, colonic, intravesical, and vaginal routes. The reported data from preclinical studies of these pharmaceutical formulations have revealed the controlled and target-specific delivery of therapeutics because of their formation of covalent bonds with thiol groups on the mucosal surface. All functionalized chitosan derivatives exhibited long drug residence time on mucosal surfaces and sustainable drug release with excellent cellular permeability, drug efficacy, and biocompatibility. Bacteriophages (phages) represent a unique category of viruses with a remarkable ability to selectively infect host bacteria, characterized by their assembly from proteins and nucleic acids. Leveraging their exceptional biological properties and modifiable characteristics, phages emerge as innovative, safe, and efficient delivery vectors. The potential drawbacks associated with conventional nanocarriers in the realms of drug and gene delivery include a lack of cell-specific targeting, cytotoxicity, and diminished in vivo transfection efficiency. In contrast, engineered phages, when employed as cargo delivery vectors, hold the promise to surmount these limitations and attain enhanced delivery efficacy. This review comprehensively outlines current strategies for the engineering of phages, delineates the principal types of phages utilized as nanocarriers in drug and gene delivery, and explores the application of phage-based delivery systems in disease therapy. Additionally, an incisive analysis is provided, critically examining the challenges confronted by phage-based delivery systems within the domain of nanotechnology. There is a growing and urgent need for developing novel biomaterials and therapeutic approaches for efficient wound healing. Microneedles (MNs), which can penetrate necrotic tissues and biofilm barriers at the wound and deliver active ingredients to the deeper layers in a minimally invasive and painless manner, have stimulated the interests of many researchers in the wound-healing filed. Among various materials, polymeric MNs have received widespread attention due to their abundant material sources, simple and inexpensive manufacturing methods, excellent biocompatibility and adjustable mechanical strength. Meanwhile, due to the unique properties of nanomaterials, the incorporation of nanomaterials can further extend the application range of polymeric MNs to facilitate on-demand drug release and activate specific therapeutic effects in combination with other therapies. In this review, we firstly introduce the current status and challenges of wound healing, and then outline the advantages and classification of MNs. Next, we focus on the manufacturing methods of polymeric MNs and the different raw materials used for their production. Furthermore, we give a summary of polymeric MNs incorporated with several common nanomaterials for chronic wounds healing. The current treatment for oral inflammatory ulcerative diseases has limitations. In situ forming hydrogels have shown great potential to deliver therapeutic substances for drug delivery to the buccal cavity. This study aimed to prepare and characterize lipid- and surfactant-based mixed micelle in situ gel (MIG) and evaluate whether it can offer more favorable properties than the in situ gel for effective treatment of the disease. Dexamethasone was incorporated into the MIGs particles, based on Poloxamer 407 and chitosan. The lower gelation time at 37 ℃ was considered a criterion to select superior formulations among the different lipid- and surfactant-based candidates. Further characterization was performed to evaluate the opted formulations regarding morphology, physical stability, rheology, texture, and release profile. All formulations were thermoresponsive and had a shorter gelation time as the temperature increased. Dexamethasone was released in a highly controlled manner, and morphological evaluation revealed that the mixed micelle in situ gels had spherical nanoparticles. Thixotropic behavior was observed in all MIGs, indicating a prolonged retention time of the formulation after oral administration. This study has shown that among different MIGs, the one with oleic acid is a more promising candidate than the in situ gel and other MIGs for drug delivery to the buccal cavity., (© 2024. In the harsh gastrointestinal tract, helical bacteria with hierarchical chiral architectures possess strong abilities. Taking inspirations from nature, we developed a multichiral mesoporous silica nanoscrew (L/D-MCNS) as an efficient oral drug delivery platform by modifying the structural chiral silica nanoscrew (CNS) with L/D-alanine (L/D-Ala) enantiomers via the sequential application of a chiral template and postmodification strategies. We demonstrated that L-MCNS showed differential biological behaviors and superior advantages in oral adsorption compared to those of CNS, D-MCNS, and DL-MCNS. During the delivery, helical L/D-MCNS presenting distinctive topological structures, including small section area, large rough external surface, and a screw-like body, displayed multiple superiorities in mucus diffusion and mucosal adhesion. Meanwhile, the grafted chiral enantiomers enabled positive or negative chiral recognition with the biosystems. Once racemic flurbiprofen (FP) was encapsulated into the nanopores of L/D-MCNS (FP@L/D-MCNS), L/D-MCNS providing highly cross-linked and mesoscopic chiral nanochannels was beneficial for controlling the drug loading/release kinetics with chiral microenvironment sensitivity. Particularly, we noticed enantioselective absorption of FP in vivo , which could be attributed to the differential biological behaviors of L/D-MCNS. By simple design and regulation of the multilevel chirality of nanocarriers, L/D-MCNS can be employed for efficient oral drug delivery from the perspectives of material science, pharmacy, and bionics.

Protein nanocages resemble natural biomimetic carriers and can be engineered to act as targeted delivery systems, making them an attractive option for various drug delivery and biomedical applications. Our research investigated the genetic link of a specific anti-HER2 peptide (LTVSPWY) to the exposed N-terminal region of the maize (Zea mays) ferritin 1 (ZmFer1) protein nanocage, employing either a 7-amino acid (for LTVS-ZmFer1) or 16-amino acid (for LTVS-L-ZmFer1) linker. We utilized a heat treatment method to load the chemotherapeutic drug doxorubicin into the protein nanocage. The construct with the longer linker (LTVS-L) produced a greater amount of soluble protein nanocage and was selected for further experiments. The average size, polydispersity index, and zeta potential of the engineered protein nanocage were 19.01 nm, 0.168, and - 2.13 mV, respectively. The LTVS-L-ZmFer1 protein nanocage exhibited excellent thermal stability, withstanding temperatures up to 100 °C with only partial denaturation. Furthermore, we observed that cellular uptake of the LTVS-L-ZmFer1 protein nanocages in HER2-positive breast cancer cells was significantly higher compared to ZmFer1 after labeling with FITC (fluorescein isothiocyanate) (P-value = 0.0001). In addition, we observed a significant decrease in the viability of SKBR3 cells when treated with DOX-loaded LTVS-L-ZmFer1 protein nanocages compared to cells treated with DOX-loaded ZmFer1 protein nanocages. Therefore, this new treatment strategy may prove to be an effective way to reduce both the side effects and toxicity associated with conventional cancer treatments in patients with HER2-positive breast cancer., (© 2024.
