Objectives: To explore how undergraduate health care students use digital technology to deliver patient care during their clinical placements., Design: A scoping review of primary research was conducted using the extended PRISMA guidelines., Data Sources: A subject specialist librarian assisted in searching for the academic literature in four electronic databases: CINAHL, PubMed, Scopus and ERIC., Review Methods: Four reviewers, working in pairs, independently reviewed a total of 332 potentially relevant articles according to set inclusion and exclusion criteria. Then, all included papers underwent an independent quality review by two reviewers., Results: Seven studies involving medical or nursing/midwifery students were included in the review. Three studies evaluated the use of mobile learning devices in patient care with four studies evaluating the use of digital systems in practice. Due to the heterogeneity of studies, which used differing digital systems and instruments, the researchers decided the most suitable method of analysis was a narrative review. The results are explained using four key themes: student learning needs when using technology in practice; access to technology in placements; perceptions of using technology in placements; and impact of technology on patient care., Conclusion: The use of digital systems in clinical settings creates challenges and benefits to student learning in delivering patient care. When students are prepared and facilitated to use digital systems, a sense of confidence and belonging to the team is fostered. Lack of availability and access to these systems, however, may impede students' ability to be involved in all aspects of patient care. Limitations of the current review included the relatively low quality of the educational research being conducted in this field of research. Information and communication technology (ICT) and digital media are less accessible for persons with intellectual disability (ID) but are important for citizenship. The aim was to conceptualize officials understanding of ICT usage among people with ID, and to analyze the possible influence of this understanding on the provision of services for people with ID. A qualitative study was conducted, using semi-structured interviews with municipal officials and politicians in the disability service area. Thematic analyses were conducted. ICT use is understood as an arena for democratization. Findings also illustrate the tension between integrity and protection as well as between legal and moral aspects of digital transformation in service provision. This understanding of digitalization is permeated by an individualized approach but conditioned by organizational issues. Disability services can be understood as undergoing digital transformation where regulative and normative elements in this area need to be harmonized to facilitate digitalization successfully. Points of interest: This study examines politicians' and officials' perceptions of the digitalization of intellectual disability services. This is important as it influences the possibility for persons with ID to be online. Digitalization is understood to enable democratization in terms of participation in decision-making, and social activities, and to 'be a part of society' but the support and structure to be online are under construction. The successful integration of digital technologies in teaching depends on the skills and attitudes of the teachers. The presented research compares the attitudes of Bulgarian chemistry teachers for the application of digital technologies in the classroom before and after the distance learning, which became necessary in the period 2020 – 2022. The research instrument is a questionnaire containing 35 items and the survey was conducted online. Forty-eight chemistry teachers participated in the survey in 2019, and in 2022 – 49 teachers. Data were compared by non-parametric Mann-Whitney test. The results show significant differences in the attitudes of the chemistry teachers towards the application of digital technologies in the classroom, especially regarding their benefits in teaching and learning. The purpose of this paper is to collect, process and discuss data, literature review and primary information using questionnaires, regarding the reasons for use by the Primary Education teachers in order to make use of digital skills, computers and other technological means in their workplace. The statistical techniques mentioned in this paper are those of descriptive statistical analysis, the display of averages in relevant questions of the questionnaire and the use of inductive methods in order to verify the verification of the research questions or not. The methods of the aforementioned statistical analysis belong to the statistical program of SPSS No.23 and whose results are shown in the results. The 33.8% of the interviewed parents stated that ICT is used in educational teaching for their children as students, for the production of teaching material to a very large extent, 25.6% to a moderate extent, 18% to a small extent, and the remaining 17.3% to a very large extent, the 36.3% of the interviewed parents stated that ICT is used in educational teaching for their children as students, to search for information via the Internet to a very large extent, 34.8% to a very large extent and 20% to a moderate extent degree and the 29% of the parents interviewed stated that they do not use ICT at all for their children as students, to manage e-mail, 26.7% use it to a small extent for this purpose, 19.8% moderately degree and another the same percentage, to a very large extent. The majority of respondents would describe their technological / digital skills as quite satisfactory. Accordingly, the vast majority of interviewed teachers stated that ICT can be used in all subjects of the educational process. The main problems faced by teachers regarding the use of technology in the educational process are the inappropriateness of the infrastructure, connectivity problems, the non-supportive environment from the Director and the lack of resources to upgrade the existing computers. Therefore, a future research could focus on the factors that are set as obstacles for the use of ICT regarding the reasons for use by the Primary Education teachers in order to make use of digital skills, computers and other technological means in their workplace, both by teachers and students. In this concept paper, the propositions for incorporating professional development, ICT awareness, and technical support to introduce technology incorporation practices among College of Arts instructors are discussed. Drawing from past research in practice, this study's conceptual framework posits value and ability beliefs as the mediators of technology integration practices. This research establishes professional development, ICT knowledge, and technical assistance as determinants of technology integration practices for learning in the study and looks at the value and ability beliefs and their impact on the instructors' decision to integrate technology into the teaching practice. This work contributes to the generation of practical and theoretical knowledge for designing effective technology integration in arts education practices, underscoring the centrality of the multipronged perspectives of instructors' belief, content, and practice knowing. In this case, this study seeks to improve the quality of arts education and better prepare College of Arts students for the job market of the still-growing technology focused era by raising the level of preparedness for integrating technology into lessons of the College of Arts instructors. In this 21st century, HEIs are experiencing a dynamic change in technology, and they should be responsive to stay in the competition space. A recent phenomenon of the COVID-19 outbreak was an alarm that caused many HEIs to look back at their capacity in digital technology to deliver online teaching and learning. This paper presents technology-based teaching and learning at two Ethiopian higher education institutions. Two research questions were set to guide the study: -how do academics perceive tech-based teaching and learning as an element of quality? Do other Inputs, Processes, and Outputs impact the application of digital technology in teaching and learning? A quantitative research method was employed to assess the case. 188 university teachers were taken from two universities as a sample for questionnaire administration. Jamovi software was deployed for data analysis. The result shows that digital technology-assisted teaching and learning are among the important elements of quality. Teachers believe that technology-based teaching and learning improves quality. Their beliefs were similar across their qualifications, departments, university type, and gender. In contrast, their service years have made a significant difference between teachers of less than five years (5) experience and those between five to ten (5-10) years. Inputs and processes-oriented quality elements significantly affect the integration of ICT into teaching and learning. It is recommended that HEIs of Ethiopia be proactive in planning to adopt relevant and timely digital technologies to deliver quality teaching and learning. Besides this, their openness to cooperate with Ethio Telecom, the Ministry of Education, and other NGOs to work toward capacity building to integrate digital technology into their teaching and learning by minimizing the challenges related to poor digital competency, scarce resources, internet connection, and infrastructure.

The global digital divide is sometime presented as the primary obstacle to developmental convergence between world regions. On the other hand mobile phone and internet technology are at times seen as transformative innovations that are dissolving this development divide. Through secondary data (such as on usage from Internet World Stats) and case exemplars, of mobile money and the gig economy, this paper argues that this is not the case; primarily because new information and communication technologies are used mostly for communication and consumption, rather than production, and if they are value capture is often low. Consequently the ‘digital divide’, and its partial dissolution, are perhaps better characterized as phases of an ‘ICT product consumption diffusion cycle’, facilitated by technological embedding and convergence. This study offers valuable insights into family needs and interaction patterns regarding the use of information and communications technologies (ICT) in everyday life. Given that ICT has become an important part of everyday family life, it is essential to comprehensively explore family interactions related to experiences with digital technologies. Within the DigiGen project, 30 interviews involving 10 families were conducted with children aged 5 to 10 years and their family members in Estonia. The aim of the study was to identify the interaction patterns regarding ICT use that emerge between family members in daily life and the daily family needs that are accompanied by ICT use. Thematic analysis was carried out to identify the main themes in the data. Four primary themes of family needs and interaction patterns regarding the use of ICT in everyday life – satisfying needs in family life, the roles of family members, conflicts/disagreements in family life and family rules and negotiation – are discussed. In the knowledge society, digital environments have become an integral part of students' daily lives. Therefore, it is crucial to utilize web 2.0 in the teaching and learning process. In this educational experience, the integration of digital resources from the social web was explored as part of learning a specific academic topic in the classroom. The responsible individuals for designing, producing, and publishing these resources were Biochemistry and Pharmacy students in their fourth semester at an Ecuadorian university. As a result of this project, nine digital resources were created, with those related to social media being the most prominent. Additionally, positive and high ratings were obtained from the students, indicating their willingness to embrace the integration of digital resources in the social web. These findings provide practical guidelines and relevant considerations for enhancing education through the use of the social web, thereby benefiting the learning process of university students. The integration of Digital Twin technology in small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) has brought forth a transformative paradigm in engineering practices. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of the use of Digital Twin in SMEs and its implementation of advanced digital technologies in an engineering context. The paper highlights key benefits, such as the ability to simulate, analyze, and predict the behavior of products or processes before their physical instantiation. By leveraging advanced modeling and simulation techniques, SMEs can efficiently explore multiple design iterations, identify potential issues, and optimize engineering solutions without costly physical prototyping. Furthermore, the paper discusses integrating other advanced digital technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), with Digital Twin to create intelligent and interconnected systems. The implementation of Digital Twin technology in SMEs extends beyond product design to encompass various aspects of the product lifecycle, fostering efficiency, accuracy, and innovation. However, challenges such as data integration, cybersecurity, and skill requirements are addressed. With proper planning and investment, SMEs can unlock the full potential of Digital Twin technology to gain a competitive edge in the dynamic engineering domain. Beyond the conventional approach to delivering public services, the adoption of digital mechanisms for delivering these services has been advocated. This is to improve how public services are delivered to the general public. INEC is not left out in the search for a better way to provide quality service through digital technology, and they have introduced new technologies over the years to carry out their activities. However, voter impersonation, duplicate registrations, and overcrowding at registration centres are among the problems that have plagued the election system. In light of this, it becomes imperative to identify the effects and challenges of the use of digital technology in INEC activities, specifically in the registration of voters and the distribution of voter's cards. The scope of the study was Lagos state, specifically Alimosho Local Government. This study relied on the Technology Organisation Environment framework as the theoretical framework of analysis. This study used secondary and primary sources of data collection. The data were analysed thematically based on the research questions and the structured interview that guided the study. This study adopted a case-study research design. The population of the study was 25 staff of the Alimosho Local Government INEC office, and the sample size was 5 staff selected using the purposive sampling technique. The result showed that digital technology has a positive effect on the registration of voters and distribution of voters' cards in Alimosho Local Government, but they still experience challenges like a shortage of digital devices and staff as well as delays in fixing and replacing damaged devices. The study concluded that despite digital technology having had a positive impact on the registration of voters and distribution of voters' cards in Alimosho Local Government between 2015 and 2022, there are still some challenges that need to be tackled. The study recommends that INEC should provide more devices to the local government, and adequate staffing and training should be prioritised to ensure the smooth operation and management of digital systems. The purpose of the article is to determine and characterize relationships and their causality between indicators of digitalization of social relations and level of university-industry R&D collaboration. To conduct the research, a sample was formed for 20 countries of the world leaders in University-Industry R&D Collaboration indicator (as a part of Global Innovation Index) in 2022, which covers the following indices for period from 2011 to 2020: indicators of university-industry R&D collaboration, access to ICT, government online services, online creativity (as assessed by WIPO Global Innovation Index), and export of ICT goods (according to the World Bank). The methodological basis of the study was methods of correlation analysis (Pearson or Spearman, depending on data distribution, for which Shapiro-Wilk test for normal data distribution was previously applied) taking into account possible lags in time, VAR modelling, Granger test, and corresponding toolkit of STATA 18 software. As a result of the research, it was confirmed that the level of university-industry R&D collaboration is affected by such indicators of digitalization of social relations as online creativity (in 16 from 20 sample countries), access to ICT (in 12 countries) and the share of ICT goods exports in total exports (in 11 countries). At the same time, university-industry R&D collaboration is a cause of changes in the level of online creativity (in 15 from 20 sample countries), access to ICT (in 11 countries), public online services (in 10 from 19 sample countries) and the share of ICT goods exports (in 10 from 20 sample countries). The obtained results can be useful for stakeholders in R&D, innovative activities, development of state policy in the innovation and information sphere for making the most effective decisions in the context of stimulating the role of cooperation. The present study investigates the variety among teacher educators (TEds) related to the use of digital resources in teaching as well as the strategies they use to develop digital competence. A person-centred approach was applied to identify meaningful patterns among TEds having different levels of self-reported digital expertise, at five teacher education institutions. Survey data from TEds (N = 389) was subjected to structural equation modelling. With latent class analysis, we identified three distinct profiles based on probability of engagement in different digital competence development (DCD) activities: 1) The restrictive user—characterised by sporadic and narrow use of DCD strategies, prefers peer-restricted collaboration, 2) The moderate user—regular user of DCD strategies, prefers peer-restricted collaboration, and 3) The extensive user—frequent and comprehensive user DCD strategies, engages in broad collaboration. The extensive users also use digital resources more frequently in their teaching compared to the moderate and especially the restricted users. This is the case for individual interactions with students, to make teaching more relevant and applicable, as well as to make teaching more student active. The arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic has triggered numerous changes in our lives. Digital tools have made it possible to continue with the development of tasks or activities of multiple kinds. This fact has not bypassed the elderly who often find themselves in a situation of inequality caused by the generational digital divide. Using a mixed methodology combining quantitative and qualitative techniques, this study aims to understand and analyze how this situation has influenced the use of ICT s and social networks by the elderly. The research participants are 415 students from the University of Experience of a Spanish university aged 55–84 years old. The results obtained show changes in the way participants relate to technology since the beginning of the pandemic in terms of time and purpose. This study provides a comprehensive investigation of how primary school teachers in the Marrakech-Safi region of Morocco integrate information and communication technologies (ICTs) into their assessment practices. Gathering data through a questionnaire disseminated via email, the research garnered 346 valid responses, indicating a modest implementation of ICTs in assessment processes, with a small fraction of teachers applying them consistently. Interestingly, the findings demonstrate that experienced educators are more inclined to employ ICT in assessments. Despite the prevalent practice of offering eAssessment training to Moroccan primary school teachers as a means to bolster their capabilities in technology-enhanced assessment, such professional development has not been a significant factor in encouraging the use of ICT-based assessment tools among teachers who do not already utilize them. The investigation also delves into the types of eAssessment methods employed, including interactive tests, simulations, and problem-solving activities. The research underscores the necessity for additional exploration and support systems to advance effective ICT adoption in educational assessments. The research has substantial implications for the enhancement of educational assessment practices, informing policy-makers and practitioners about the current state of eAssessment and guiding future efforts to optimize the evaluation of student knowledge in a digital era. Today, tourism and digitalisation are very much intertwined. The phenomenon of tourism in the digital space - digital tourism - emerged with the birth of the internet and has grown in intensity over the years. The evolution of digitalisation has brought about a paradigm shift that has not only led consumers to adopt information and communication technologies, but has also greatly transformed consumer behaviour, preferences and motivations. Indeed, the development of technology has disrupted the traditional booking trends of tourists, their attitudes towards tourism and the social groups of tourists by providing dynamic online communication channels. Digital tourism users - digital tourists - are increasingly aware of the information and communication technologies, services and tools available to them, and are able to shape the market offer tailored to their needs through their actions and the data they provide. One of the most effective means of doing this is to share feedback and opinions online. In our research, I provide secondary information to support the importance of feedback and opinions, clarify its role in digital tourism, and then investigate the phenomenon of electronic-world-of-mouth through a questionnaire survey and decision tree analysis, and highlight the insights and implications of eWOM for digital tourists' behaviour in the online space based on opinions. The main objective of this article is to highlight the importance of training in digital tools at the university level to foster the development of innovative and efficient data analysis from a scientific perspective. In an increasingly digitised world, the acquisition of digital skills has become a fundamental requirement for success in various disciplines, especially in conducting academic studies and research. The implementation of Computer-Aided Qualitative Data Analysis (CAQDAS) software, such as the ATLAS.ti platform, for text analysis not only enriches the educational experience but also prepares students to excel in an ever-evolving digital environment and raise the quality of their research. We present here a practical example of textual analysis in ATLAS.ti that can serve as a reference guide for similar studies based on content analysis of interviews. Various qualitative and quantitative data analysis options and techniques are explored that allow researchers to identify patterns, trends and relationships in the texts analysed, which contributes to a deeper understanding of the topics under study by transcending traditional methods of text analysis. This paper examines the digitalization of higher education in Ethiopia. It mainly focuses on better understanding the policies, practices, and challenges of digitalization of higher education in the country. The necessary data were mainly generated from continental, national, and institutional policy and strategy documents. Publicly available transnational and national reports and other documents and the author's views and lived experiences were also used to substantiate data generated through policy review. The data were analyzed using deductive thematic analysis. The themes were mainly developed based on prior research and existing literature. The findings indicate that there are sufficient and feasible policies and strategies to promote and ensure the digitalization of higher education in Ethiopia. The findings also reveal that there are initiatives that promote the practice of digitalization of higher education. However, poor internet connection, lack of adequate ICT infrastructure, lack of skilled human resources, and staff resistance to change were found to be the major barriers to enhancing the digitalization of higher education in Ethiopian higher education. The results imply that having feasible policies and strategies is a necessary but insufficient condition to ensure effective implementation of digitalization of higher education. It necessitates the government's commitment as well as a shift in focus from the expansion of HEIs, which was the case in the last two decades, to ensuring the quality and relevance of HEIs through digital transformation. It is essential for pre-service teachers to hold positive beliefs about information and communication technology (ICT) and possess digital skills to integrate digital technology successfully into the teaching and learning environments. Although numerous studies have examined teachers' attitudes toward ICT, little research has examined teachers' ICT competency beliefs. This research aimed to explore pre-service teachers' ICT competence beliefs. We used an instrument developed by previous researchers for data collection. The results showed that the pre-service teachers had good ICT competence beliefs. A few gender differences were found between participants' mean scores on six dimensions of the data collection instrument. No gender differences were found for many items. It was found that there were no significant differences in the years of study of participants across five different grade levels. However, the lowest mean scores were found in analyzing and reflecting, problem-solving, and information and data literacy. Conversely, the highest mean scores were detected in communication and collaboration, digital content creation, and safety and security. Reducing pesticides is an important driver in preserving a healthy and sustainable environment and protecting human health. In the digital era, understanding the role of information and communication technology (ICT) on pesticide use in crucial. Therefore, This study aim to estimate the impact of ICT on farmers' pesticide used. This study uses a cross-sectional data from a survey to 150 farmers in Indonesia. Furthermore, the data is analyzed by ordinary least square (OLS) and instrumental variable quantile regression (IVQR). The main results indicate that ICT has an essential impact on pesticide used reduction. Farmers who has access on the ICT tend to use lower pesticide that the farmers who did not use the ICT. The IVQR results, make the claim more robust, which is show a negative and significant impact of ICT on farmers pesticide use in all quartile groups. Therefore, this finding implies that there is a need to develop agriculture related ICT continuously among smallholder farmers to reduce the pesticide use. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the digital age, governments can reach thousands of citizens easily and at a low cost using information and communication technology (ICT). However, little is known about whether such ICT-delivered messages are received by citizens and result in behavioural change. We develop a theory about the barriers that government messages need to overcome if citizens are to receive a message and engage in it. We test the effects of a government health message in a large-scale field experiment among 4,880 representative citizens. This paper investigates digital inequalities in usage within African informal sectors. In particular, we examine whether the uneven digital diffusion is embedded in pre‐existing socio‐economic inequalities. After identifying three segments of informal firms, we rely on multivariate and decomposition analyses to identify predictors of usage of digital technologies for business purposes and explain usage gaps between segments. Our findings suggest that digital inequalities are rooted in the vertical heterogeneity of informal sectors, with some firm characteristics significantly predicting professional use of digital technologies. Technology encompasses various fields such as science, manufacturing, services, and transportation, covering a wide range from machines to methods. The use of technology in mathematics education should also be evaluated within this scope. The article examines how digital technologies are used in mathematics classes and how this usage affects students' mathematics learning processes. Technological advancements, ranging from graphic calculators to web-based applications, have transformed mathematics instruction. However, it is an important question whether technology is used only to access answers more quickly or to improve how mathematics is learned. Especially when there are numerous equations and programming languages in mathematics classes, the limitations of material presentation must be considered. From a virtue-based approach to digital education, this article aims to analyse the perception of a group of Spanish adolescents and their practice of two civic virtues on the Internet and social media: solidarity and tolerance, crucial for social engagement and for building humanising interpersonal relationships. For this purpose, a quantitative and qualitative research methodology was used. A survey was administered to a purposive sample of 131 high school students. The results were analysed with SPSS.25 and Atlas.ti.8.4. The respondents expressed an abstract positive perception of the possibilities of the Internet for promoting both virtues; however, on a personal level, their practice of these virtues on the web was limited. The collected data suggest the need to strengthen a social understanding of ICTs and accompany this kind of use, steering them towards an engagement that looks into future life plans, in contrast to consumerist and individualist uses. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the adoption of cloud computing as a digital technology by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and assess its impact on sustainability of such enterprises. Design/methodology/approach: A model was developed that featured factors influencing SMEs sustainability. Primary quantitative data was gathered using a survey as an instrument. Total set of n = 387 responses were gathered using a convenience sampling method. Findings: Findings reveal that cost reduction, ease of use, reliability and sharing and collaboration factors have significant statistical impacts on SMEs sustainability, whereas privacy and security factor has no significant statistical on SMEs sustainability. Practical implications: The study poses significant implications on managers and SME development authority to create an inductive environment for technological support for SMEs' sustainability. Originality/value: The study enhances SMEs' performance and sustainability by upgrading their existing information and communications technology as a digital infrastructure and benefiting from novel IT-based cloud revolution. Several studies have provided an understanding of the use of cloud computing services in SMEs but lack enough information about the challenges and impact on SMEs sustainability. The objective of this paper is to estimate the impact of cloud computing on economic performance. The analysis relies on a multi-equation model in which cloud computing is complementary with broadband to maximize the economic contribution of digital technologies. The proposed model is estimated for a sample of OECD countries, depicting cloud penetration at the sector level. Our results suggest positive effects from cloud adoption on economic outcomes. However, the impact of cloud computing depends on broadband penetration and cloud adoption, which, as expected, vary by country and industry. The sector benefitting from the largest economic impact is information and communications, followed by manufacturing, while in contrast, no impact was detected for the transportation sector. This is one of the first empirical analysis estimating cloud economic spillovers on an aggregated basis, from which important public policy implications can be derived to stimulate the development and adoption of this technology. In this 21st century, HEIs are experiencing a dynamic change in technology, and they should be responsive to stay in the competition space. A recent phenomenon of the COVID-19 outbreak was an alarm that caused many HEIs to look back at their capacity in digital technology to deliver online teaching and learning. This paper presents technology-based teaching and learning at two Ethiopian higher education institutions. Two research questions were set to guide the study: -how do academics perceive tech-based teaching and learning as an element of quality? Do other Inputs, Processes, and Outputs impact the application of digital technology in teaching and learning? A quantitative research method was employed to assess the case. 188 university teachers were taken from two universities as a sample for questionnaire administration. Jamovi software was deployed for data analysis. The result shows that digital technology-assisted teaching and learning are among the important elements of quality. Teachers believe that technology-based teaching and learning improves quality. Their beliefs were similar across their qualifications, departments, university type, and gender. In contrast, their service years have made a significant difference between teachers of less than five years (5) experience and those between five to ten (5-10) years. Inputs and processes-oriented quality elements significantly affect the integration of ICT into teaching and learning. It is recommended that HEIs of Ethiopia be proactive in planning to adopt relevant and timely digital technologies to deliver quality teaching and learning. Besides this, their openness to cooperate with Ethio Telecom, the Ministry of Education, and other NGOs to work toward capacity building to integrate digital technology into their teaching and learning by minimizing the challenges related to poor digital competency, scarce resources, internet connection, and infrastructure. The rapid development of digital technology influences social, cultural and work changes, so student competencies and skills must be improved in order to compete in the industrial era 4.0. In anticipating competition in the world of work, the government, through MBKM emphasises increasing digital talent. The aim is to produce graduates who are competent, have a global perspective, as well as equipped with abilities that can support graduate careers in multisectors so that they can contribute to community development. The qualitative secondary data sample was taken from BPS website. Information and computer technology (ICT) abilities among adolescents and adults ages 15 to 24 years in 2019-2021 by province, gender, and demographics were gathered and analysed. The review results showed that the demography factor influences the digital divide, in which rural communities have lower ICT scores than urban communities. The phenomenon known as the digital divide is an issue that often arises in today's digital age. This problem develops when the unequal distribution and development of information and communication technology (ICT) has made it more difficult for individuals to access and use ICT. This impediment will also lead to the community not being prepared to embrace and use more complex ICT tools in the future. MBKM, a learning program focusing on improving students' ICT skills, which can be an important strategy to improve graduate competencies so that they can compete globally in the career world. The goal of this paper is an overview of e-business sector in the European Union (EU), the one emphasizing its diversity and complexity in today's digital world. Starting from a simple internet connection - which is the first step in e-business - enteprises proceed to making their own website and using fast internet speed and special software for managing their activities and keeping track of their customers. In this article below we'll look at the concepts, history and evolutions of e-business sector in the EU . Based on Eurostat data and on other international reports and studies, we highlight how many entreprises în EU are in these e-business categories starting from using a simple internet connection and developing own websites to using advanced software for planning activities(ERP) but also to have a management of better customer relations(CRM). Finally, our analysis confirms that digitization comes to be the highest at the large companies – i.e. for their both financial resources and customer public’s size – and limited for the small ones – i.e. at least, on the ERP and CRM usage side, while, though, the on-line presence by web-sites looks about the same level for companies of all sizes. Currently, the use of digital tools has led to significant changes in the educational system, favouring equity and the inclusion of students with educational needs. In this context, students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) benefit from using these electronic devices to improve their learning experience. This study focuses on conducting a bibliometric analysis of the impact of information and communication technologies on the learning of students with ASD, with the aim of addressing two research questions. Through the analysis of three databases (Scopus, Dialnet, and Web of Science), a total of 24 articles related to the subject were collected. The results show that the use of different technological devices has numerous benefits for these students. Among the most prominent are the use of augmented reality and educational robotics, mainly providing improvements in academic performance, motivation and improved retention of knowledge acquired in the classroom. In conclusion, the clear need to train teachers in digital competencies and to intensify efforts in this line of research in order to improve the education of students, as well as to enrich the knowledge available to the scientific community, is highlighted. The rapid advancements in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) have significantly transformed the landscape of education, impacting both learning and teaching processes. The use of ICT in learning and teaching have changed the whole concept of education and had proved to be of great benefit for both the student and the lecturer. This paper draws from students and lecturers' reflections on the use of ICT in learning and teaching environments in one South African University. An interpretive qualitative approach was adopted to conduct this study. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect data from six participants which constituted five students and one lecturer, and the thematic phenomenological analysis was used to analyse data. Findings revealed that the use of ICT in learning and teaching environments in have enhanced learning experiences, access to information and resources, collaborative learning opportunities, personalized learning among students and enhanced lecturer professional development in the university. The study recommended that education institutions should prioritize the allocation of resources for infrastructure development Technology should be used purposefully to enhance teaching and learning, rather than integrated for its own sake. Purpose: This study aims to examine how the adoption of digital technologies affects the business competitiveness of countries in Latin American and European countries. Design/methodology/approach: This study used a structural model based on factors representing the pillars of the Global Competitiveness Index: financial system, adoption of information and communication technologies (ICT), skills, labor market, product market, macroeconomic stability, business dynamism and gross domestic product (GDP) purchasing power parity (PPP) as a percentage of the total world value. The authors considered 17 Latin American and 28 European countries. The model was analyzed by partial least squares-structural equation modeling. Findings: ICT adoption in Latin American countries is a strong predictor of business dynamism (66% of the variance), skills (81% of the variance), product market (75% of the variance), labor market (42% of the variance) and financial system (49% of the variance). Similarly, ICT adoption in European countries is a strong predictor of business dynamism (35.6% of the variance), skills (72.2% of the variance), product market (51.6% of the variance), labor market (81.7% of the variance, but with a negative path coefficient) and financial system (38% of the variance). Practical implications: Latin American countries should create policies to build skills to increase ICT adoption, and improve business and labor market dynamism. A theoretical implication is that the authors propose two structural models based on the GCI that best explains competitiveness in Europe and Latin America. Originality/value: Using GCI data, the authors present empirical evidence on the predictors of competitiveness across 17 Latin American and 28 European countries with a special focus on the adoption of digital technologies. This article develops a framework for analysing how digital software and models become mediums for creative imagination in architectural design. To understand the hermeneutics of these relationships, we develop key concepts from Material Engagement Theory (MET) and Postphenomenology (PP). To push these frameworks into the realm of digital design, we develop the concept of Digital Materiality. Digital Materiality describes the way successive layers of mathematics, code, and software come to mediate enactive perception, and the possibilities of creative material engagement actualised in work with software. Just as molecular materials come to transform action with material objects, so digital materiality comes to enable and transform creative practices with computers. Digital architectural design form a new space for ongoing enactive discovery and creativity through manipulation of digital models and their underlying software environments. By shifting relationships within their digital models, architects can direct their attention, intention, and imagination towards widely different aspects of the model. Here, creative imagination becomes a fundamentally situated activity where mind emerges through dynamic interaction between a variety of embodied, material, and cultural domains. Purpose: This paper aims to examine the impact of information and communication technologies and their availability in the Central and Eastern European countries that are members of the EU on regional value chains and regional supply chain management and logistics in CEECs in the context of the growing e-commerce industry. Methodology: We used a balanced data panel of 11 countries over 9 years (2011-2019) to examine the impact of ICT indicators on regional supply chains. The analysis included the ordinal Spearman rank correlation coefficient and the panel GMM method, which accounts for endogeneity. We implemented the Arellano-Bond estimator within the GMM framework, considering the ordinal nature of the dependent variable. This approach allowed for an effective analysis of the complex relationships in the data, considering the panel structure and the individual country observations. Results: The findings indicate that the hypothesis claiming that the integration of digital technologies in supply chains in CEEs leads to statistically significant improvements in efficiency, controllability, and cost- effectiveness, cannot be rejected. Enhanced communication, collaboration, and overall logistics performance have led to increased customer satisfaction. Additionally, the study shows a positive correlation between ICT infrastructure and logistics performance, emphasizing the crucial role of digital innovations in shaping supply chain dynamics. Conclusion: The study supports the hypothesis that integrating digital technologies into supply chain management in Central and Eastern Europe is associated with enhanced efficiency, resilience, and economic integration through value-added export. This study explores how digital materiality shapes meaningful learning experiences for students and teachers. Using a qualitative approach, this study examines the digital practices of thirty-five senior high school respondents in Banda Aceh and Denpasar. It finds that intense interactions with information and communication technology (ICT) provides teachers and students with access to meaningful digital learning experiences. By grounding teaching and learning practices in meaningful learning principles, students and teachers can sustain an interest in ICT-based learning, while fostering emotional sensitivity and awareness. These findings underscore the reciprocal interaction between humans and technology in shaping social systems. The intentional and material dimensions of these interactions are critical to produce meaningful work that contributes to personal and social well-being. These findings have implications for educators and policymakers seeking to promote meaningful learning in the digital age. This study suggests that when teachers and students have equal access to good technological skills, learning can be more meaningful and enjoyable. Technology can be used as a tool for collaboration, creativity, and the exploration of ideas. However, further research is required to fully understand how technology can best support learning. During the last five years, language teaching in Europe has been heavily influenced by two major occurrences. On the one hand, the outbreak of COVID-19 forced teachers to extensively adapt many of their teaching practices to the digital world; this major paradigm shift is likely to have continued repercussions post-pandemic in terms of methodology and use of resources. At the same time, the publication of an updated version of the Common European Framework, commonly known as the Companion Volume focuses our attention on the real-life communicative needs of language users. The Companion Volume emphasizes digital and online communication processes throughout the development of language skills, and this focus inevitably translates into changes in national and regional curricula for language education. The present study investigates the degree to which future teachers are prepared for this new reality and explores emerging digital training needs among pre-service teachers. The investigation obtains quantitative and qualitative data from 30 pre-service teachers who have completed postgraduate studies in language education, which included a stage of school-based teaching practice. Results indicate that while pre-service language teachers have a positive view of ICT and moderate levels of general digital competence, they feel additional specific and in-depth preparation is required within their initial training. The article considers the influence of the digital economy development on the labour market, identifying its main advantages and disadvantages. The increase in the unemployment rate due to the disappearance of a number of obsolete professions, that have lost their relevance in the context of modern developing relations, can be attributed to the fundamental negative factors of the labour market digitalization. In addition, after analyzing the opinions of various domestic and foreign experts, it is concluded that it is impossible until 2030 to completely replace human labour with robotics, despite the rapid development of information and communication technologies. Personal learning environments or their acronym PLEs are understood as a set of tools, resources, connections, and activities that each person regularly uses for learning. This study examines the PLE approach in a university setting, evaluating its impact on student learning in a university subject within an education master's program. The effect is assessed from two perspectives: a quantitative one based on the 'PLE test'—administered at the beginning and end of the course—and a qualitative one based on the assessment provided by the students themselves regarding the impact of training in digital tools and competencies on their PLE, at the beginning and end of the course. The 'PLE test' measures four factors: time organization, creation–editing, searching–investigating, and collaborating–contact networks. In all four factors, by the end of the course, there is a significant increase in usage scores, especially in the last two. The students' assessments of the evolution of their PLEs reflect the evident impact of this approach as a strategy for more effective and self-managed learning. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This research focuses on the factors that barriers and foster (drivers) digital innovation and entrepreneurship amongst small businesses operating in the Handicraft industry after the economic downturn. From the perspective of new Indian craft entrepreneurs, digital and innovative entrepreneurship is crucial to surviving the crisis. It will eventually encourage the development of the handmade goods market and the artisanal reconfiguration as a business. In this study, the qualitative method was used. For the creation of themes, Inductive content analysis (analytical, inductive technique) was used to interview fifty online handicraft business owners who rely on their craft talents for income. After the pandemic, two types of motivation were generated for handmade entrepreneurs. The first motivation was extrinsic, which conditioned the handicraft market, restricted mobility, and upgraded household status for entrepreneurship. The second was intrinsic motivation among the craft entrepreneurs who generated individual and professional skill growth. These two factors encouraged digital craft innovations and entrepreneurial advancement of transitioning handicraft companies to digital platforms. After the interview, respondents explained several hindrances or restrictions, market interruption, and quality internet. Even after that, it resolved as the effect of the pandemic reduced and digital skill training for innovation and entrepreneurship passion increased for developing a robust programme that supports the handicraft new entrepreneurs after the economic calamities. This finding contributes to the area of investigation and contributes to entrepreneurship literature. This study will open the route for making the policy and development of solid strategic plans for the handicraft sector's new craft entrepreneurs. With the help of innovative and digital entrepreneurs, small-scale or craft industries will boost the Indian economy and give some of the best suggestions for global economies. For developing economies, this study will also empower entrepreneurs to open new dimensions for marketing, supply chain, and exportation and will finally increase the Globalisation of handmade products. Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has become an important force to promote the development of enterprises, but its impact on female career development is still controversial, mainly because existing studies have not gone deep into the operational level of enterprise ICT, have not focused on the research into the use environment of ICT, and have been lacking in quantitative analysis. In this article, empirical analysis is conducted through the use of the World Bank Survey Data on Chinese Manufacturing Companies 2012 and the Chinese General Social Survey, plus the adoption of the logit model. These studies reveal that 1) the degree of enterprise informatization and the degree of IT (information technology) support can significantly promote female career development, and 2) in terms of the influence mechanism, gender culture plays an intermediary role, i.e. ICT affects female career development by promoting an equal gender culture.
