The article presents a summary of several studies related to ecology. These include "The shingle beach as a plant habitat," by F. W. Oliver, "The pelophilous formation of the left bank of the Severn estuary," by J. H. Priestley, "On the brown seaweeds of the salt marsh," by Sarah M. Baker, and "Ecological terminology as applied to marine Algae," by N. M. Johnson. A paper on the eastern moorlands of Yorkshire, England is also presented, as well as the research paper on the ecology of Calluna vulgaris.
