In order to fully tap the regulatory potential of industrial load, it is necessary to build an adjustable resource pool of typical industrial enterprises. This article first accurately models typical industrial loads, optimizes industrial load operation with the goal of economy, selects various types of electrolytic aluminum enterprises load as the research object. Then aiming at the lowest cost of electricity and the highest user satisfaction, the dual-objective optimization is carried out. Finally, the dual-objective optimal dispatch of industrial load can improve the economic efficiency of industrial enterprises and reduce the cost of electricity purchase of industrial enterprises.

As a large-scale industrial consumer, the efficient and stable operation of iron and steel industry has an important impact on the development of national economy. In this paper, the modeling and solving algorithm of steelmaking continuous casting production scheduling process are studied in detail. First of all, considering the stability of the system operation and the timely completion of the production plan, the two objective functions are to minimize the advance/delay time of all casts and the makespan, respectively. Secondly, based on the analysis of steelmaking continuous casting process, a variety of process constraints are proposed. Combining with the two objective functions, the steelmaking continuous casting production scheduling problem model is constructed. Then, aiming at the shortcomings of the traditional particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm and genetic algorithm (GA), the improved particle swarm optimization (IPSO) and improved genetic algorithm (IGA) are proposed, and IGA-IPSO algorithm is proposed by combining them. Finally, five different algorithms are used to solve the proposed model, and the results show the superiority of IGA-IPSO algorithm in solving the proposed model.

In recent years, the number of flexible loads on the demand side is increasing rapidly. Adjustable loads participate in the flexible interaction of the power grid, which not only improves the overall energy efficiency of the power grid, but also reduces the electricity cost of users. In this paper, the optimal dispatching strategy of the adjustable load resources participating in the power grid interaction is studied. Firstly, the optimal regulation model of adjustable load is constructed, which takes the minimum operation cost of the system as the objective and considers the constraints of power balance and adjustable load regulation. Then, the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to calculate the model, and the optimal scheduling scheme of each group of devices in the scene is obtained. Finally, a microgrid with captive power plant and energy storage system is taken as an example to verify the effectiveness of the proposed optimization model.

In 2015, the new round of power system reform proposed to strengthen and standardize the supervision and administration of the self-provided power plants and clarified the direction of developing the self-provided power plants towards qualified market entities. Focusing on the issue of clearly defining the self-provided power plant, the paper proposes the classification methods based on power generation side and load side, and in line with theoretical study and practical investigation, analyzes the potentials of typical self-provided power plants for power grid, aiming to provide an important reference for engagement of more self-provided power plants in grid supply and demand. The study results show that featured with favorable regulating potential and policy impetus, the conventional coal-fired self-provided power plants will be the main force to participate in the interaction with grid supply and demand and consume clean energy in the future.

Cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) is widely investigated in cognitive radio networks (CRNs) to improve the spectrum sensing performance. To realize CSS, how to collect sensing data from the secondary users (SUs) is one of the major problems. To solve the problem, in this paper, we propose a contention-free reporting scheme-based MAC protocol for CSS in the CRNs. With the proposed the MAC protocol, the SUs can report the sensing data to the fusion center without any reporting collisions, therefore increasing the reporting channel efficiency. Moreover, two admission control schemes are designed for throughput optimization and energy efficiency optimization, which further improve the performance of the proposed MAC protocol. Simulation results show that the proposed MAC protocol outperforms existing protocols.

Self-supply power stations in China have been built and developed under a specific historical and institutional background, with relevant policies constantly evolving. At present, the supply-side structural reform, the new round of reforms in power market, and renewable energy have put forward new demands for the development of self-supply power stations. Firstly, this paper analyzes the evolution process of the policies on self-supply power stations, and then, it analyzes the charging policy, supervision policy and clean development policy of the self-supply power stations in details. Secondly, due to the local differences in the development of self-supply power stations, the policies on self-supply power stations in typical provinces are analyzed. Finally, on the basis of historical and existing policy analysis and according to the needs of the new situation, the recommendations on future policies are proposed from two aspects: the design of the self-supply power station supervision and management mechanism and the contents of self-supply power station supervision and management.

Automatic code generation is a critical step towards flexible manufacturing processes. In the last decade, Model-Driven Engineering is commonly adopted for code generation while requiring tight coupling between the model and its corresponding code, which increases the difficulty of dynamic reconfiguration in the system. To improve the flexibility and efficiency of industrial software design and development processes, Knowledge Graph is proposed to be applied in knowledge-driven code generation process in this paper. The knowledge-driven query system can conduct parameter searching, variable calculation, ontology reasoning, and code invocation to assist code generation. In addition, a structure of domain-specific knowledge graph combined with SQL database and reasoning rules are proposed to improve performance. The feasibility of our method is demonstrated through the dynamic AGV route planning example.

Power load probability density forecasting generates the probability and fluctuation range of forecasting value, which can offer more decision-making information for the security, reliability and economic operation of power system. A scientific and reasonable usage of multi-source, heterogeneous and massive power load and meteorological data can efficiently improve the accuracy of power load forecasting, but it also render the model training more complicated. This will lead us to a short-term power load probability density forecasting model based on principal component analysis and quantile regression forests. The principal component analysis, by means of linear transformation, turns the correlation input variables into heterogenous principal component, which can reduce the complexity and improve the forecasting accuracy. Quantile regression forests algorithm can obtain the conditional distribution of forecasting value and it can also, by means of kernel density estimation, obtain the power load probability density forecasting result at any time.

This paper describes the ICFHR 2018 Competition on Multi-script Writer Identification with details on the competition tasks, databases employed, submitted systems, evaluation protocol and the reported results. The competition was aimed at exploring the traditional writer identification problem in a more challenging scenario of a multi-script environment where training and test samples of writers come from different scripts. Three different databases with handwriting samples in Arabic, French, English, Chinese and Farsi were employed in the six competition tasks. The realized results indicate that while high identification rates are reported in the literature by traditional writer identification systems, identifying writers in a multiscript environment is a much more challenging problem that requires significant investigations to extract effective handwriting representations that are able to characterize the writer across different scripts. ? 2018 IEEE. The control of surface roughness is of great significance for measuring the quality characteristics of cold-rolled steel strip. At present, the conventional method is used to monitor the surface roughness of steel strip by random sample inspection, off-line analysis and test, and on-line adjustment of production process, but the method is of some hysteretic nature and discontinuity. To this end, the paper presents an on-line intelligent control method for surface roughness of the cold-rolled steel strip, adjusting parameters of the skin-pass process in real time and reducing the fluctuation of surface roughness of strip steel. To establish the fuzzy neural network control model of the corresponding relationship between the parameters of the skin -pass process and the surface roughness of steel strip, the deviation between the online detection value and the target value of the surface roughness is taken as the input of the model, so is the differential value of deviation. In addition, the skin -pass rolling force is used as the output. Learning and training fuzzy neural network to get a fuzzy neural network online prediction control model that is applied to continuous treatment unit for cold rolling strip steel. By measuring the surface roughness of steel strip, the system adjusts the skin-pass rolling force in real time. At the same time, to keep the mechanical properties of the steel strip and the strip shape, the system optimizes skin -pass rolling tension and bending force accordingly to realize on -line intelligent control for the surface roughness of steel strip. The proposed system can improve the control accuracy of surface roughness, which can even better satisfy the requirements of downstream users.

With the continuous development of smart grid and demand response, the role of users has changed. The load regarded as rigid load is showing elasticity and the traditional indexes of load characteristic cannot fully excavate the potential information of the load in smart grid environment. Based on the traditional load characteristics and the traditional indexes of load characteristic, this paper discusses the new load characteristics participating in demand response under the market environment. The new indexes of load characteristic such as load regulation ability, temporal characteristics of load regulation, the temperature elasticity and the price elasticity have been researched in depth, and the new index system of load characteristic has been put forward to describe the potential of the user participating in demand response projects. On the basis of the new index system of load characteristic, the user selection model based on entropy weight method is provided according to the different requirements of demand response projects to load characteristics at the end of this paper.

In this paper, we study the problem of refining a standard cell placement for self-aligned double patterning (SADP), which asks to simultaneously refine a detailed placement and find a valid SADP layout decomposition such that both overlay violation and wirelength are as small as possible. We first present an algorithm that adopts the technique of white space insertion for an SADP-aware single-row cell placement problem. Based on the single-row algorithm, we then describe an approach to the addressed placement refinement problem. Finally, we report encouraging experimental results to support the efficacy of our approach.

The magnetic levitation ball system has nonlinear and open loop instability. The model was linearized near the equilibrium point and the exponential reaching law sliding mode controller was designed according to the state equations of the system in this paper. The stability of the system was analyzed by using Lyapunov stability theory. The experiment was carried on magnetic levitation ball system device. The results show that using the exponential reaching law sliding mode control can make the magnetic levitation ball with small deviations in the vicinity of a given location, and the system has good tracking performance.

This paper presents the design and fabrication of an ultra-narrow band-pass HTS filter with FBW of 0.02% in C band. Novel approaches to solve the weak coupling and unwanted parasitic coupling problems in narrowband filter design were introduced. The filter shows band rejection better than 23 dB at frequencies 500 kHz away from the center frequency. The measured minimum insertion loss is 3.8 dB, corresponding to unloaded Q-factors of about 45000. The return loss is better than 17 dB and the band-edge steepness reaches over 60 dB/MHz at both the high- and low-frequency edges.

Hadal science is one of research frontiers in earth science. Exploring the hadal zone has become an attractive and challenging event in marine engineering due to extremely hostile environment. Only few underwater vehicles have the ability to dive deeper than 6000 meters. Free-fall vehicle, also known as “lander” has been widely applied in marine investigation for decades, and has made a spectacular achievement in hadal research. This paper presents the sea trial and corresponding results of a 7000-meter lander, which mainly focused on biology and ecology research in hadal zone. The sea trial was conducted in shallow water area and deep-sea area in South China Sea, where functional tests, descent/ascent speed characteristics, and comprehensive performance were studied. During the deep-sea trial, a serial of scientific research achievements was obtained. Sea trial results validated the multi-function, effectiveness and stability of the lander system.

This paper presents a novel on-line condition monitoring method that is based on the input voltage and measured line current of a Brushless DC motor drive system. The time-frequency signal processing method of Hilbert Huang Transform is applied to extract the characteristic component of line current and then obtain the required equivalent electrical impedance, which is utilized for health monitoring. Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility is employed to evaluate the reliability of the computed impedance during the training strategy. A health reference index defined from the characteristic intrinsic mode function is proposed for decision making during on-line monitoring. Theoretical analysis and experiments are conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed health monitoring approach.

The paper describes the design of an X-band coupled-cavity traveling-wave tube (CC-TWT) based on the ridge-loaded staggered single-slot rectangular coupled-cavity slow wave structure (SWS) using High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) and particle-in-cell (PIC) code in Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Particle Studio. The working frequency range is from 8.6 to 9.5 GHz. The ridge can concentrate the longitudinal electric field in the structure so that the CC-TWT can produce 29.6 kW of saturated output power at 9 GHz with an electronic efficiency of 22.3 percent and a gain of 44.7 dB when the beam voltage is set to 26.9 kV and the beam current is set to 5 A.

The characteristic measurements of permanent magnet motors, such as torque-speed, power, and efficiency, are essential during manufacturing. Dynamometer equipment has been extensively used in motor characteristic measurements. This approach is known to be time-consuming and may not be suitable for on-line product quality control. This paper presents a novel method for obtaining the moment of inertia without using external mechanical load, which is capable of rapidly measuring the torque-speed characteristics of permanent magnet motors. The experiment results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, which can obtain the required measurements within 4 seconds. The measurement error can be less than 4% in comparison with that using the dynamometer. The proposed method aims to be adopted in motor mass production for on-line quality control.

Estimating the date of undated medieval manuscripts by evaluating the script they contain, using document image analysis, is helpful for scholars of various disciplines studying the Middle Ages. However, there are, as yet, no systems to automatically and effectively infer the age of historical scripts using machine learning methods. To build a system to date medieval documents is a challenging problem in several aspects: 1) As yet, no suitable reference dataset of medieval handwriting exists; 2) relatively little is known about the evolution of writing styles in the Middle Ages, and especially in the later Middle Ages. Our Medieval Paleographic Scale (MPS) project aims at solving these problems. We have collected a corpus of charters from the Medieval Dutch language area, dating from the period 1300 to 1550. A global and local regression method is proposed for learning and estimating the year in which these documents were written, using several features which have been successfully used in writer identification. The proposed system can serve as a basic tool for the medievalist or paleographer. The experimental results of the proposed method demonstrate its effectiveness. This paper presents a method for extracting rotation-invariant features from images of handwriting samples that can be used to perform writer identification. The proposed features are based on the Hinge feature [1], but incorporating the derivative between several points along the ink contours. Finally, we concatenate the proposed features into one feature vector to characterize the writing styles of the given handwritten text. The proposed method has been evaluated using Fire maker and IAM datasets in writer identification, showing promising performance gains.

Cooperative communication enables collaborate mobile terminals to share each other's antennas to construct a virtual multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system. Through partitioning a user's code word into two parts, coded cooperation (CC) method integrates cooperation with channel coding and significantly improves the performance. In this paper, CC method is extended to spatial-multiplexing-based MIMO system that terminals and base station (BS) are all equipped with multiple antennas. On the basis of MIMO CC scheme, an enhanced cooperative communication scheme based on signal space diversity (SSD) is proposed. Through jointly using the components interleaver in spatial-multiplexing-based MIMO and mechanism of user collaboration, it can increase the diversity order and achieve impressive gains compared to non-cooperative system and MIMO CC scheme in slow fading channel while maintaining the same information rate, transmit power and bandwidth.

We report the experimental evaluation of a high-temperature superconducting (HTS) Josephson mixer based on a HTS step-edge junction on MgO substrate. The fabrication, operation principle of the mixer and the experimental results of the dynamic range, linearity, and the conversion efficiency are presented.

Summary form only given. Due to their very small surface resistance, high temperature superconductors (HTS) can be used to construct high performance microwave passive devices, e.g., filters with negligible insertion loss, very large out-of-band rejection, and extremely steep skirt slope. Moreover, by integrating the HTS filter and semiconductor pre-amplifier together with a cryo-cooler, the noise figure of the system can be further reduced. In the past ten years, various kinds of HTS filters have been designed and successfully applied in many fields. Aiming to satellite applications, an experimental HTS microwave receiver front end had been constructed and passed all the space qualification tests. The first Chinese space HTS subsystem was taken into space with a civilian experimental satellite for new technology (Shi Jian - 9) on October 14, 2012. Data received from this satellite show that the HTS filter is working on orbit perfectly. A space science research system with ultra-wide band HTS filter is also under development as a payload of Chinese first space laboratory (Tian Gong -2). Applications of HTS filters on the ground are also attractive. A demonstration HTS meteorological radar station was set up in Beijing and it showed great improvements in sensitivity and anti-interference ability in urban area wind profile measurements. HTS system was constructed for applications with high power handling requirements, e.g., TD-SCDMA system mobile base station. The HTS system showed very good results in reducing bit error rate for weak signals, strong enhancement in anti-interference and excellent compatibility in restricting spurious power of emitting signals. Improvements in video communications are also remarkable. More sophisticated Josephson junction based microwave active devices are less developed due to the rather challenging HTS Josephson junction technology. We have, however, recently made major progress in developing novel HTS monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) RF receiver front-end. The described monolithic HTS circuit consists of a HTS step-edge Josephson junction mixer, a 10-12 GHz HTS bandpass filter for RF input, a lowpass filter for IF output, and a resonator for local oscillator. All the HTS components are fabricated on a single 10 mm × 20 mm chip of YBCO film on MgO substrate. The monolithic frequency down-converter demonstrated superior performance in terms of conversion efficiency, dynamic range, linearity, and low power consumption. It operates stably from 20 K to 80 K with the best conversion loss less than 1 dB at 20 K.

The ability to sustain a smooth-running practice is very important in dentistry. Because of this reason, Electric handpieces driven by permanent magnetic synchronous motors (PMSMs) have been increasingly applied in dentistry and have replaced air-driven ones due to their high efficiency and ability to sustain constant speed while operating. Additionally, they produce little noise compared to the high pitched whine of their air-driven counterparts. As is well known, the rotor position is the necessary information for driving a PMSM. Unfortunately, a dental handpiece requires repeated heat sterilization that will break down the Hall sensors, and further, lacks the space to install an incremental encoder. Therefore, sensorless speed control of a PMSM is the key technology for an electric dental handpiece. In this paper, a sliding mode observer is used to implement an electric dental handpiece. Moreover, a prototype of the electric handpiece system has been designed and built. Experimental results are presented to verify the feasibility.

We apply the theory of tracking control to the problem of synchronization in a complex dynamical network of different nodes. The coupling functions of the connected nodes of the complex network are identified based on Lyapunov stability theory. The method can achieve synchronization of the networks with nodes of any chaotic systems.

Biosorption of heavy metal ions is one of the focuses of current research. In this paper, the powder of Agrocybe aegerita, Hericium erinaceus, Pleurotus ostreatus were chosen as biosorbent to study their effect on the adsorption of Cu2+. The results showed that the sequence of adsorption capacity is Agrocybe aegerita > Pleurotus ostreatus > Hericium erinaceus. The adsorption is also affected by the initial concentration of Cu2+, adsorption time and concentration of mushroom powder itself.

During the preliminary three to five days of casting completion of compressor unit in large volume concrete, the temperature difference between inside and outside of concrete excesses its ultimate because of the sudden temperature increase from the hydration heat of cement and the heat-insulating property of concrete together with the striking of the cold wave. In addition, the evaporation of the free and hydration water within the surface and the moisture evaporation on the surface of the concrete leads to the dry shrinkage-deformation. No measures taken, temperature and shrinkage stress can not be alleviated or decreased timely, and there is also a possibility to have hazardous temperature and shrinkage crack. Taking West-East natural gas transmission project as an example, with 5M1E as the analysis method (man, machine, material, method, measurement, environment) and focusing on construction and structure design, the following are discussed in detail: how to enhance the concrete pouring quality, control the concrete temperature rise, delay concrete cooling rate, reduce concrete shrinkage distortion, increase tensile strength of concrete, improve constraint condition of concrete, and strengthen temperature monitoring. And a series of effective techniques are analyzed and concluded, which can bring valid construction experience and economic returns in cold conditions.

Knowledge management is a principal instrument to improve enterprise core competence. Knowledge sharing can advance knowledge from individual level to organizational level, so that is one of the critical sectors in knowledge management. An overview of the national and international researches on knowledge management is presented in this paper. Then the psychological contract is defined as the key factor affecting knowledge sharing. Based on that, the knowledge sharing model and the serving system for knowledge sharing are established, combining the knowledge management theory and practice, which can greatly increase the feasibility of knowledge management.

Pyrofomes demidoffii is a new recorded species of the new recorded genus in the China. To study the high yield and economical medium productive conditions, this experiment selected and used single factors such as carbon source, nitrogen source, C/N rations, rational speed, temperature, pH value, bottled volume and inoculated bulk and multifactor experiment design with submerged fermentation mycelia to explore the effects of these various factors on the mycelia yield. The results of the experiment indicated that mycelia of P. demidoffii could be produced by submerged fermentation process. Meanwhile starch and bran were the optimum carbon and nitrogen source; P, K, Mg had facilitation to the growth of mycelia. The optimal rotational speed for the growth of mycelia is 150 rpm, temperature 25~30, pH value 5~7, bottled volume 100 ml, and inoculated bulk 8%, C/N ratios 20:1~25:1. The optimal nutritional conditions when the mycelia of this sort of fungi were cultivated by means of submerged culture are follow: glucose 25 g•l-1, bran 350 g•l-1, K2HPO4 0.25 g•l-1, pH 6.5.The growth curve of the logistic equation was deduced: y = 0.22/(1+1.019e-0.013x), the weight of the dry mycelia was 0.22 g100 ml-1.

In order to choose a reasonable material and thus to improve the quality of storage rainwater through studying the effects of different cellars materials on the self-purification of storage rainwater, the research studied the law of storage rainwater change over time in simulation cellar of red clay, cement and mixed materials respectively. The results showed that with the proceeding of water self-purification in water cellar, CODMn and the total numbers of bacteria increased first and then slowly lower and in line, the change of DO was similar to oxygen sag curve; CODMn showed a degradation rate proportional to the concentration-response relationship, the function of water self-purification in red clay cellar was much stronger, DO-consumption rate constant: K( red clay cellar)﹥K( mixed cellar)﹥K(cement cellar); And after storing three months in red clay caverns、cement、 and mixed materials cellar respectively, the total numbers of bacteria decreased by 98%, 65%, 67%, CODMn decreased by 58%, 34%, 46%, NH3-N decreased by 73%, 51%, 63% in the monitoring indexes .

To analyze and visualize metabolic networks are hot in systems biology. One of essential problems is to construct metabolic networks from numerous metabolic equations automatically and reasonably. Based on bipartite model, a method of construction metabolic networks from metabolic equations was proposed and the procedural steps of MATLAB were given. The output constructed networks were checked by visualization software of biological network. The result shows this method is feasible and suitable for general requirements of construction complex metabolic networks from numerous metabolic equations. Internet is widely and indispensable used in people's daily life and work. Research on internet culture is clustered. However, the former researches followed two dimidiate aspects: technological determinism or cultural determinism in the view of stable ideas. Internet culture is changing following by social transferring and users' behavior. There for, this dissertation is going to research internet culture as a dynamic system in the social environment and observe the evolution of internet culture, using analysis framework of the cultural algorithm. The dissertation will construct a dynamic evolving framework of internet culture.

This paper introduces the definition of multimedia technology, multimedia technology in middle school applications, the advantages and problems of a preliminary study and put forward some suggestions.

A mathematical model describing the immune response to HBV infection was established. The immune reaction effect included both humoral and cellular immune response. Why the immune system failed to eliminate the virus was explained by the equilibrium state analysis result that the immune response was not strong enough to resolve the HBV infection. Simulations were made to show the wide variety of clinical manifestations of HBV infection.

The co-operation data classified transmission system which is embedded, autonomous, highly reliable, strongly real-time and highly secure, is special for the formation aircraft co-guidance. This paper proposes chaotic stream cipher based private key generating algorithm and field programmable logic device (FPGA) based hardware solutions and introduces the chaotic stream and irregular clock controller. Simulation demonstrates the improved A5/1 encryption algorithm realized with FPGA chip. The proposed encryption algorithm has good security and the easy realization and is easy to be programmed with high-speed hardware description language VHDL and realized with FPGA-based hardware. The proposed algorithm can meet the requirements of high-speed and secure encryption transmission for the aircraft co-operation data transmission system.

In this paper we introduce an eye-gaze tracking system using the changes of the user's head position. The system presents a new optical structure. In this structure we propose an algorithm based on the projection of the line of sight. With this algorithm, we can say goodbye to complicated arithmetic operations, and improve the system's response time, which indeed, ensures synchronization. We modify the algorithm so the system can match eye features of Asian users. Test of the system shows it has high accuracy and a good real-time response, which makes the users feel more comfortable when they are using this system.

Considering the facts that all the current 3D patching algorithms use curves of fragment as match features and there is no algorithm takes full advantage of 3D shape features, this paper proposes 3D digital patching method based on height-map of fragment’s broken surface. The 3D data of fragment’s surface is segmented based on region dilation strategy firstly. Then the broken regions are determined via surface coarseness. The global-best patching scheme is achieved by employing height-map as matching feature and complementariness between height-map as matching performance functional. The performance of proposed method is finally verified by simulation tests.

Remote homology detection between protein sequences is a central problem in computational biology. This may help to identify functional and structural classes of proteins. This paper uses a modularity-based method, which maximizes the modularity of protein network to find the partitioning with strong community structure, for clustering protein sequences. The experiments based on the superfamily level of SCOP (Structure Classification of Proteins) database show that the approach is able to identify correctly the superfamilies to which the sequences belong.

Recently, 3D laser scanning is getting great interest for its relevant simplicity and speed. However, the output of 3D laser scanner is characterized as sub-randomly distributed 3D point clouds, the information associated with the object structure cannot be extracted directly. In this paper, a surface segmentation algorithm based on region dilation strategy for 3D laser scanning data is proposed. A Roland LPX-250 3D laser scanner is used in our experiment and the results show that this algorithm works well on various types of 3D laser scanning data.

This work reports, high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) using a dilute antimony In0.2Ga0.8AsSb channel, grown by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) system. Introducing the surfactant-like Sb atoms during growth of the InGaAs/GaAs quantum well (QW) was devised to effectively improve the channel confinement capability and the interfacial quality within the InGaAsSb/GaAs QW heterostructure, resulting in enhanced carrier transport property and superior device performances. In comparison, the proposed devices with employing sulfur (NH4)2Sx passivation (sample A), silicon nitride (SiNx) surface passivation (sample B), or without passivation (sample C) have been investigated. Sample A (B/C) has demonstrated superiorly the maximum extrinsic trans-conductance (gm, max) of 221 (205/183) mS/mm, the drain saturation current density (IDSS) of 205 (190/174) mA/mm, the gate-voltage swing (GVS) of 1.105 (1.28/1.482) V, and the P.A.E. characteristic 30.4 (21.4/13) % at 300 K, with the gate dimensions of 1 × 200 ?m2.

Virtual Human can hold the possibility of performing a variety of assistive and analysis tasks in 3D virtual environments. However, widespread use of avatars assistants in these environments requires ease of use by individuals who are generally not skilled on designing operators. In this paper we present a method of training virtual human that bridges the gap between designing and building of a virtual humanpsilas action as well as its autonomous learning ability to adapt a certain task. With our approach, we integrate reinforcement learning to the action of virtual humanpsilas path planning to achieve fast policy acquisition. The result of the approach is illustrated in the case of successfully instructing virtual human to cross a terrain with pyramid and a number of obstacles to reach a certain target.
