In the last decade, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) were applied in monitoring studies addressing to marine and terrestrial wildlife for their multiple advantages. Due to their operational flexibility and low cost, UAVs have been applied in studies aimed at studying behavior, estimating group size and abundance of species as well as at measuring the individuals through photogrammetry methods. In this work, numerical estimates of group size of Risso’s dolphin sighted in the Gulf of Taranto from UAVs video-analysis were compared from those recorded by MMO on board of a research vessel. Data were collected from April 2018 to September 2020 for a total of 109:58 minutes of recording. Aerial shots together traditional survey methods allowed a more thorough analysis of the number of individuals observed, offering a better estimates overview, with the possibility of viewing videos several times and taking screenshots. Using UAVs could provide more accurate estimates on Risso’s dolphin population. In conclusion, given the efficiency such systems found in this work, the use of UAV could be instrumental in broadening perspectives on marine mammal studies.

Designing mobile application technology with elderly people poses its own challenges. It is known that the complexity to understand the emotion of an elder were bringing anxiety towards younger family members and caregivers. In this era of technology, it is possible to identify how a human emotion works through the emotion recognition technology. However, there is still lacks applications which use that technology. The application project found that the appropriate medium to use the emotion recognition technology is diary for elderly users. Therefore, introducing Eldiary – a mobile application that were proposed to integrate the emotion recognition technology practicalities and the use of digital diary to encourage better understanding between them. Elderly people can write their own special memories inside the private diary while the caregivers can see the emotion expressed in the diaries without able to read specifically what did they write. The emotion recognition will be made possible through the application of linguistic analysis capability from Artificial Intelligence (AI) computing that able to determine tone of the text written in the application. The application project methodology chosen were Rapid Application Development (RAD). RAD ensure that every phase of the development can be done quickly and efficient. All the requirements were successfully gathered from various survey techniques including interview and questionnaire. The requirements gathered were carefully analyzed to bring suitable user experience and functionality on the real-world basis. Then, the project was developed with the use of numerous software to implement all the requirements and design. This prototype of application project contributes to understanding of emotion recognition for Software Engineering body of knowledge. It aims to produce a guideline for future designers and developers of elderly based applications.

This study aimed to identify factors influencing the customer behavior of an electronic commerce (e-commerce) application in Indonesia (i.e., Go-Food) during the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic and to analyze the effects of brand awareness, social media marketing, and COVID-19 social restrictions (pembatasan sosial berskala besar-PSBB) on decisions to shop food products. Data collection was carried by employing a purposive/survey method with questionnaires distributed to the application users. For analyzing the data, the authors employ the structural equation modeling method through the partial least square approach (SEM-PLS). The study results showe: (1) The factors influencing behavior of Go-Food consumer during the COVID-19 pandemic are latent variable aspects and consumer behavior indicator aspects. The influential latent variable aspects consist of social media marketing (0.303), PSBB policy (0.263) and brand awareness (0.208). Concurrently, the influential consumer behavior indicator aspects consist of cultural (0.916) and psychological (0.793) factors. (2) Consumer behavior possesses a positive effect on decisions to shop food (t-count $\mathbf{5.034 > t}$ -table 1.96). (3) Brand awareness, the impact of PSBB, and social media marketing possess a positive effect on consumer behavior as indicated by the results of t-counts worth 3.042, 2.842 and 2.828, respectively, which are greater than the t-table value (1.96). (4) Social media marketing is proven to possess a direct or indirect effect on decisions to shop food through Go-food (t-count $\mathbf{6.335 > t}$ -table 1.96). Brand awareness possesses no significant direct effect on decisions to shop food through Go-food (t-count $\mathbf{1.536 > t}$ -table 1.96).

The majority of digital business companies incompletely believe and realize the importance of IT service management. Capability and reliability of IT service management become strategic assets sustaining the digital business by providing additional values through digital transactions. Nonetheless, a principle is that the cost and content of products determine this sustainability. The research goal was to ascertain the extent of required IT service management significantly influencing the digital business. A survey method with an explanatory design was implemented. There were 218 questionnaires filled by respondents and returned to researchers. The whole population included those running the digital business in West Kalimantan. The data was gathered and processed by using Likert Scales and an analysis tool named SEM-PLS. It was further distributed through bootstrapping based on the aspect of normality. Finally, feedback process lasted. Research findings indicate that despite weak, insignificant implications of IT service management for digital business continuity, readiness to accept and apply various kinds of digital innovation and digital capability is highly needed to achieve the success.

Assessment of learning is an important learning component for educators to consider. A good assessment must meet objective, transparent, easy to use, effective, and efficient principles. This study aimed to investigate teachers' perceptions of online assessment modes using online quiz applications. The research method used was to use the survey method after respondents used online assessment examples. The questionnaire data were processed using a simple statistical analysis. The results showed that teachers liked using online assessments and were interested in using them in learning activities. The research has implications for the massive adoption of online assessments in the learning process during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

This study aims at determining the implementation of principal supervision for the achievement of graduate competency standards, parental participation, and the effectiveness of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study was conducted on 110 senior teachers at elementary schools in two districts in East Java, Indonesia, specifically Blitar and Mojokerto. The approach used was the survey method. The sampling used was multistage random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using multiple regression analysis techniques. The results showed that the variable implementation of school principal supervision, achievement of graduate competency standards had a negative correlation to the effectiveness of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The competency standards of graduates that should be used as a reference for the development of process standards, educational assessment standards, standards for educators and education personnel, standards for facilities and infrastructure, management standards, and financing standards were temporarily diminished by teachers and schools during the pandemic. The variable of parental participation has a positive effect on the effectiveness of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The attendance process is widespread today in Indonesia. One everyday use case is recording attendance at an enterprise. However, the existing attendance system still poses some risks. One of the biggest causes is when the smart card used does not have a good quality guarantee and does not use an official Indonesian identity card, namely e-KTP. This issue causes the wasteful use of smart cards. In addition, this is not under the Law of the Republic of Indonesia. Therefore, this research focuses on utilizing the e-KTP as an authentication factor in recording attendance. In addition, this study uses two methods: survey methods and theoretical methods. As a result, the proposed mechanism system has fewer steps than the current enterprise’s (2 out of 3). With the e-KTP, the conclusion obtained indicate that the proposed mechanism has successfully mitigated all technical existing risks (R2, R4, and R5). User Agreement Testing also shows the same results, participant’s perspectives of R1 and R3 scenarios more feel comfortable with e-KTP as the proposed ID cards in their enterprise. This study has been founding a new mechanism approach that is handled 100% risk (5 risks are covered), with all of the enterprise respondent’s responses that showed the agreement about the more efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed scheme that using e-KTP than the enterprise’s smartcard owned.

ERP solutions have evolved over the years, and many are now typically web-based applications that users can access remotely. However, an ERP system can be ineffective if a company doesn't implement it carefully. The focus of this research is to describe how opinions, emotional intelligence situations, motivations and what types of training are applied in the company to make sure the ERP implementation process runs properly. The method used in this study is a survey method by distributing questionnaires, but it is not processed through statistics because it does not intend to test hypotheses. Questionnaires were given to respondents using close ended questions to get answers from respondents. The data collection also through interviews with Chairperson and HRD Manager where the research was conducted. The Result show that the Benefits and Function of ERP are accepted by employees who are supported by their high emotional intelligence. The Chairperson was satisfied with using ERP. Training can provide a change in mindset can provide permanent change and does not require expensive costs for implementation. The conclusion was that the ERP system agreed to support employees work, even though the first time they feel difficult to deal with the system. Coaching on employees that encourage employees can adaptation to the use of ERP. The Training must support the company's beliefs, attitudes, and values.

The internet has led us to know the importance of using media, especially in business terms. These days, SMEs are using the help of media to introduce their product to the market. With the help of media, SMEs can increase their sales and also income. This research aims to analyze the role of social media in digital marketing to enhance customer satisfaction and its impact towards repurchase intention. This type of research is explanatory research by using a quantitative approach and survey methods. The sample technique used is random sampling, but with criteria the consumers must have bought the local product of SMEs in Bekasi for at least once. A total of 154 questionnaires were received and all of them could be processed by the researcher, with response rate 40%. This research uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis method by using SmartPLS 3.0 as the analysis tool. The results of this research showed that brand satisfaction and moderating effect of promotions and service operations positively influenced customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction also positively influenced repurchase intention. Social media review, service operations and moderating effect of promotions and social media review didn’t influence customer satisfaction.

ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is the main driving force for the people's economic growth. All areas of human life have been seized with advances in ICT, including agricultural which is the basis of food for Indonesian society. ICT can improve productivity. This can also be influenced by the age characteristics of the farmers in each region. This research was to prove the effects of ICT access to agricultural farmers in Manado. By using the theory of network society (Network Society Theory) using a survey method with respondents coming from three farmer groups data to 109 farmers in Manado. According to the survey results, it is evident that the majority of farmers in Manado region still rely heavily on television and YouTube. Manado farmers aged around 30 to 50 years, it is assumed that using ICTs to communicate and access information productively among farmers can increase their productivity, especially in the era of new media like today. Results showed that media usage had a strong and positive correlation factor that influence farmers in accessing agricultural information come from internal and external. Adopting ICTs in agricultural extension was crucial in facilitating farmers to access new markets for their produce and acquire information on the current trend in agriculture.

Augmented Reality has become an important learning medium in both educational and learning domain. AR has been in use within the game technology since long. Moreover, greater prospects of AR have been seen during learning and training, specifically in the developed countries. AR has contributed in enhancing the learnability of the users. In order to understand the impact of AR usage, this work starts by preparing the list of factors that influence the learnability with the AR usage. The list of seven (7) factors were identified through Literature Review (LR) using Kolb’s Experiential Learning Theory (ELT) 1984. Survey method was used to validate the factor’s questions, Next, the validated questions were given to student and academicians for answering through another survey for factor validation. Results showed the identified factors (Motivation, Better lab experience, Enhanced Focus, Satisfaction, Enable Visualization of Invisible Concepts, Better Learning and Performance and Confidence) within the Proposed Learnability Enhancement Model (LEM). Additionally, all the questions were validated with acceptance by experts and 32 academicians through the survey 1. Also, all the factors were accepted with 94% and above acceptance rate in survey 2. The significance of identifying these AR acceptance factors for enhancement of learnability will impact better learnability and performance with AR usage, the study will continue with testing the LEM efficiency through the simulation of AR usage on the real environment in the next phase of this work.

This study aims to examine the impact of technological adaptation that sources from company’s external and the implementation of green IT as company’s internal source in the achievement of competitive advantage. The study is conducted quantitatively through survey method to 49 company’s leaders who run in the renewable energy in Indonesia. The analysis study with regression analysis and it is conducted by using analysis tools of SmartPLS. To emphasize the results, it is tested research hypothesis. The research finding is known that technology which sources from company’s external have the correlation in achieving competitive advantage. Furthermore, the implementation of green IT plays more the important role in achieving business performance through competitive advantage. These findings are surely useful for the renewable energy industry in facing the competition, in which it is recommended to adapt always with the changes of technology and its implementations.

Mapping wildlife and human distributions are critical to mitigating human and wildlife conflict and conserving wildlife, habitat, and human well-being. Aerial surveys are a critical tool, but new methods for these surveys generate massive image archives. The act of scanning these images is time-consuming and difficult, leading to significant delays in converting data into action. To address this Development Seed and the Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute (TAWIRI), developed an AI-assisted methodology, specifically, Tensorflow based image classification and object detection methods that significantly increase the speed of spotting and counting wildlife, human activities, and livestock after aerial surveys. Our AI-assisted survey method to map wildlife and human distributions and to detect potential conflict areas between wildlife and the human-associated activity for Tanzania. Once the training data quality and model performance of AI-assisted workflow mature and stabilize, we foresee the hours spent on getting accurate human-wildlife proximity maps would only take 19% of current human manual workflow, and potentially reduce the cost of identifying and counting objects over 81,000 aerial images from $20,000 to less than $5,000.

In modern times, people use the Internet every day, and they can connect to the Internet anytime, anywhere. They can watch the news, check the weather, find nearby restaurants, and navigate their way. They also post and share their feelings and opinions on social-network services such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Due to this change, they use online review services to share their feeling, opinions, and experiences of products or services in the comments sections and make purchasing decisions based on this information. The most well-known method to identify factors related to consumers’ purchasing decisions is the survey. However, the survey method is time consuming, and the amount of data obtained is limited. Thus, we propose a system that uses YouTube data to identify such factors, reducing time constraints and supplementing the limited amount of data. The proposed method builds a Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) based on the data collected to extract topics and people’s opinions. The biggest advantage of our system is that it reduces the time it takes to obtain data and uses more data for analysis.

At present, researches have been profusely done on the topic of ecological classrooms both inside and outside China. However, studies are still scarce in terms of how to optimize ecological classrooms in higher education under digitalization. Therefore, based on today’s digitalization trend, this paper adopted a revised path-goal theory and proposed an optimization path for ecological classrooms to improve the teaching effect. The teaching and learning targets were selected based on the training objectives; the digital survey method was adopted to obtain the intermediate effect variables; the digital teaching methods and means were innovated to finish "the last one mile" in the racing; the interactive relation was enhanced with the help of "creating scenarios and the last five minutes" to achieve mutually-reinforcing spiral escalation between the two parties; digital tools are utilized to improve the evaluation system. At the same time, this paper pointed out that in the future, we still need to further expand and enrich the survey samples in researches concerning ecological classrooms, and the reciprocal relation between the teaching subject and the surrounding environment shall be taken as the research focus.

With the development of economy and society, it was very important to innovate the training mode of applied talents. Combined with the Internet+ big data platform, this paper investigated the professional cognition data of graduates and teachers and students, used Excel and SPSS17.0 software technology, adopted the principal component analysis and analytic hierarchy process research methods, and combined the expert survey method to study the theoretical innovation and practical path of the talent training mode of local applied colleges. The results showed that the "3+1" talent training innovation model was in line with the development orientation of local application-oriented colleges, and the practice path measures of talent training program were in line with the goals and requirements of talent training. The research results could provide theoretical support for the revision of the talent training program of application-oriented universities.

Crop diseases have become a common part of the agricultural field and with the growth of the agricultural field, these crop diseases are also increasing day by day. Rice crop is one of the main crop and its plantation has spread in almost every region of India and many parts of the globe also. Rice diseases are very common and in recent decades various machine learning techniques have been introduced to detect those diseases. In this paper, we have conducted a survey study on eight major rice diseases namely bacterial leaf blight, false smut, rice hispa, blast, stemborer, sheath blight, brown spot, brown planthopper, and work conducted on them using CNNs technique. The paper is divided into two major parts, first is the survey methodology followed for conducting the work and second is state of the art used for rice disease detection (RDD) using CNNs technique.

The survey method was combined with interview method to empirically analyze the influence factors of the development of professional pharmacy teachers in an application-oriented university in Anhui Province via the Logistic regression model. The regression results show that variables such as education background, professional title, working age, enterprise experience and related qualification certificate have significant influences on the development of professional pharmacy teachers in an application-oriented university in Anhui Province. Therefore, the abovementioned factors should be considered in the development of professional pharmacy teachers in this university in order to improve teaching level and student satisfaction.

Illegal parking is one of the main causes of congestion on urban streets. With the lack of urban delivery schemes, commercial vehicles when loading and unloading have a significant negative impact on circulation causes traffic delay, congestion and safety risks. Motivated by the need to study the road occupancy of pickup-delivery vehicles, we addressed in this paper a data collection framework for planning, designing and conducting a vehicle observation-based freight survey. This study can provide a potential approach to conduct a diagnosis on urban freight vehicle movements, to study their impacts on urban traffic and to highlight extrapolation and adjustment relationships that allow for the transfer of its results to other cases without redoing these more resource-intensive investigations. Therefore, the document is organized as follows. In the first part, we proposed an overview of the type of urban freight transport survey. In the second part, we address the data collection framework for conducting vehicle observation-based freight survey in order to analyze the pickup-delivery vehicles movements.

At present, almost every country struggles to implement city management with the concept of smart cities. Previous studies have produced several models by exploring social values on the adoption and acceptance of technology in the application of the idea of a smart city. However, there is still little research that explores social values in the form of a relational relationship between the dimensions of builders in the Smart District, which is very different from the concept of smart cities that are common and popular so far. This study aims to explore and evaluate the relationship of social dimensions of the application of smart mobile-based districts or districts. The model and approach used is an exploration of the building dimensions in the theory of Expectation Confirmation Model, Quality of Experience (QoE), Quality of Service (QoS), Trust, Commitment, Use Intention, Satisfaction, and Recommendation Intention. Data collection was carried out from two hundred seventeen respondents who were successfully collected using online survey methods and offline data processing using SmartPLS software v.3.2.8. The research findings indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship for the relational pattern of the proposed dimensions of intelligent district service builders. This research contributes to the modeling of the relational relationships of the aspects of the building of smart districts, which is still rarely done. This study confirms that local governments and policymakers should pay more attention to the relationship of critical social dimensions in technology adoption that affects the quality of service performance of smart-based mobile districts.

Entrepreneurship as a major contributor to the economic development of a country needs to be studied specifically. The ASEAN Entrepreneurship Profiling website was developed to become a digital tool for entrepreneurs to carry out self-assessments and self-diagnostics related to their entrepreneurial profile. Before going to the further development stage, the instruments that will be the main pillars of website development need to be calibrated to produce valid and reliable instruments and coded on the website. The research used the survey method as part of the overall research method concept, namely the Neuroresearch method. This study uses the Neuroresearch method because this method has comprehensive stages in accordance with the research objectives. The calibration result is an indicator that crystallizes from six indicators into three indicators with instrument items from 17 to 16.

Document Submission System Application (DSSA) is a mobile application used to apply for administrative letters. DSSA is used by residents of Koba Regency. In this study, researchers measured the level of user satisfaction with DSSA. This study uses the TAM method, while the variables used are Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Attitude Toward Using (ATU), and Behavior Intention (BI). The main objective of this paper is to see the positive impact of PEOU on ATU and BI. In this study using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). SEM was used to analyze data using AMOS 24 software. Data collection used a survey method using offline questionnaires to the community with a total sample of 100 respondents who live in Koba Regency. The results of this study indicate that Perceived Ease of Use has a direct effect on Perceived Usefulness of DSSA, Perceived Ease of Use has a direct effect on Attitude Toward Using DSSA., and Attitude toward Using DSSA has a direct effect on Behavioral Intention using DSSA

This paper shows the evaluation of the implementation of the basic profile of the ISO/IEC 29110 standard in the Software Development Center (CEDESOFT) from the Institute Technological Superior of Nochistlan using the survey method through a questionnaire that was applied to students and teachers who worked under this standard. The evaluation of the implementation of the standard in the CEDESOFT allowed to know the usefulness of the processes for the completion of the projects, the activities of the processes with greater difficulty during their execution, and to know if the implementation of the standard helps teachers and graduates in their activities related to software development.

Traffic is a common problem present in many cities worldwide. This issue has increased over the last years due to the increment of vehicles that circulate on the streets. The conventional traffic light systems have been evolving in countries with advanced technological development. In these cities, intelligent systems have been implemented achieving to reduce effectively the level of traffic; however, when these intelligent systems are implemented in other countries have not been successful. This is mainly because in developing countries like Peru, vehicular behavior is not the same as developed countries. For this reason, the present work has focused on proposing a traffic parameters survey methodology for the generation of virtual models in order to evaluate the traffic behavior on intersections, using the capital of Peru, as the case of study. The paper presents an analysis of the current state of traffic in the city of Lima and a methodology that explains the steps in order to determine the hours with higher level of traffic aiming to execute the data survey. By using the information acquired, it was possible to generate a virtual model to develop an accurate analysis of the evaluated areas. This way, the virtual model allows proposing a strategy in order to apply a solution to alleviate traffic congestion at intersections.

Teacher competencies can be influenced by several factors, but not all factors that affect teacher competencies can be well described. This research attempts to answer some of the problems through differences analysis, which is the effect of participation in scientific research and conference on vocational teachers’ competencies. A total of 77 vocational school teachers in Indonesia’s East Java province were used as samples, and research data were obtained from participants of vocational teacher competency tests. This research uses a survey method through expose facto research with a quantitative approach. The data obtained are then analyzed by analysis of variance techniques. The results of the study conclude 1) teacher’s participation in scientific forums and participation status in scientific meetings have a nonsignificant effect on vocational teacher competency, 2) the frequency of writing articles has a non-significant impact on the competencies of vocational teachers, 3) vocational high school teachers’ research experience gives a non-significant effect on the competencies of vocational teachers. The results of this study are expected to be input for improving the competence of vocational teachers in Indonesia.

Covid-19 pandemic is an international disaster that is experienced by almost all countries in the world. This has an impact on all lines of the life of each country. Among them is the education sector. Aside from efforts to solve this co-19 problem, the state must continue to maintain the stability and sustainability of the learning process that is the right of all citizens. Indonesia experienced the same thing. face to face learning “shock” and immediately take the fastest action by utilizing existing technology, but not all of them are ready. Using survey methods and adopting the theories of Delon and McLean, this study aims to determine the readiness of organizers, lectures, and students for current conditions, their readiness in undergoing the learning process while maintaining the quality of education and user satisfaction (instructors and students) towards learning. The results of this study prove that we all tend to be unprepared but strangely, on the other hand, the fact is that the positive things from this pandemic prove that education practitioners in Indonesia are better prepared by online learning because they are more comfortable and satisfied with online learning while supported by the government and a good system (96% of respondents) compared to face to face (4% of respondents).

In order to overcome the problem of low personalized user experience in the current service design process, and to explore the personalized user experience and its accompanying uncertainty in service design, this paper proposes a research method of personalized and uncertain user experience in service design. This research method uses data analysis and survey methods, collects 186 service events, and uses the coding method of rooted theory to study and analyze the core dimensions of the user expectation experience confirmation model. In addition, the construction method also uses quantitative analysis and model methods to build mathematical models of various dimensions, which are flattering, restricted, immersive and educational. The research results show that this research method can scientifically and comprehensively study and analyze the personalized user experience and its accompanying uncertainty in service design, and can provide theoretical support for other researchers.

The existence of Covid-19 Pandemic become a challenge for teachers, where the teachers were forced to apply Online learning. Various kinds of online learning media were tried and used. One of Vocational High School (SMK) in Sidoarjo also applies online learning using WhatsApp on the subject of Digital System class X during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study aims to look at the Effectiveness of Whatsapp in increasing student interest in Digital System Subjects during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with survey method. The population of this study were 33 students of class X who had completed the digital system subjects during Covid-19 Pandemic. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing online questionnaires through Google Form to 33 students of class X who had completed the digital system course during Covid-19 Pandemic. The analytical method used was an interactive model of Mile and Hubermen with 4 stages, including collecting data, formulating data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The result of this research shows a negative response. It can be seen from the results of the study that students prefer to have face-to-face learning than online learning. Moreover, there are several obstacles experienced by students during the learning process using WhatsApp

As an integral part of smartphone-based travel behavior research, trip mode detection has attracted the attention of many scholars who have used various methods to classify trip modes automatically. In these studies, network data and geographic information system (GIS) information on, for instance, the public transport network, have been used to promote detection accuracy. However, few studies have focused on its utility pointedly. This research collected a series of GPS trajectory data using a planning survey method and developed two models consisted with the criteria-based random forest (RF) algorithm to explore the impact of the public transport network in the comparison of automobile travel and public transport. The results show that the utility of public transport network information depends on the traffic environment. During peak hours, the public transport network can help the RF algorithm improve the accuracy of motorized mode detection nearly 6% more than that during non-peak hours. Public transport network information is a useful predictor of travel mode identification in situations where the researchers consider the instability of smartphone-based data and the diversity of the data collection environment.

Parking facility can be considered as part of planning requirement that can affect development scheme as a whole. Traffic conditions have tended to deteriorate and the searching time for parking space substantially increased. The increase of population, parallel with the increasing of road users lead to parking concerns, especially in public university. The study is to evaluate the car park at 3 residential college public university and to propose measure to improve the current situation based on parking demand. In case study, the methodology consists of three stage which is data collection, data analysis and recommendation. Data analysis was done to obtain the actual rate of demands for parking space in these areas compared to the availability of existing parking space. The results of the study were found that parking space here insufficient is to cater the for the user in the study area. Parking parameters methodology deals, in detail, with the data collection required for the evaluation process. The parking parameters of the condition of parking include parking durations, parking occupancy, percentage of parking turnover, parking accumulation. A few recommendations will be suggested based on the results. The amount of data was collected and analyzed to show the parking situation. The most accurate method that used in this study is license plate survey method.

In this paper, firstly, divides the dialect area of the Yongjiang River and defines the dialect regions, the speakers, the survey method and the survey time. Secondly, after the determination of investigation area and relevant candidates, the recording and photography of audio and video are entered. Thirdly, the corpus transliteration is performed, including transcribing the recording or video into text, the corresponding international phonetic transcription and the Mandarin translation. Finally, the database design of ELAN is completed. This study makes up for the narrow situation in which the dialects storage and protection stay traditionally in writing and oral path.

Although the analysis of social media to aid decision making in Human Resource (HR) selection is becoming commonplace, there is little empirical research on this phenomenon. This study reports on the use of Social Networking Sites (SNS) by HR professionals to assist applicant selection. It employs a survey methodology based on a cross-sectional questionnaire which was administered to a sample of 10 000 professionals in Portugal. The response rate was 10.5% and the results show that 41% of the respondents use SNS in employee selection. The most used SNS are LinkedIn (89%) and Facebook (58%), and the evaluation of applicant profiles usually takes place before the first interview. Around three quarters of participants indicate to assess applicants by forming a general impression of their adjustment to the organization. The most regularly inferred constructs from profiles are work experience, education and training, written communication skills, maturity and professionalism. Respondents infer more often the outcome person-organization adjustment. The conclusion is that for many Portuguese organizations SNS seem to be a useful complementary tool to the most conventional personnel selection techniques. info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

The proposal is to apply the PBL to solve real problems of a Metal / Mechanics industry with students of Materials Engineering. We used a survey methodology to analyze the efficacy of PBL for improving the learning process. The proposal comprises of two phases: (i) understanding the industry problem (ii) presenting the solution. The study revealed that the interaction between university and industry has increased student’s self-confidence and opened up new partnerships.

In this paper, we present CAROL (unConventionAl suRvey methOdoLogy) to collect users’ opinions, to analyze them effectively, and to graphically provide interesting summaries in near-real-time. CAROL has been designed to collect citizens’ opinions, needs, and a perception that can be very useful to redesign cities and drive the innovation process. To this aim, particular importance is given to the architecture implemented to collect the data, which involves sending voice messages instead of text, allowing users greater freedom of expression. Moreover, to make the survey more friendly, an initial analysis is done in real-time thanks to an intuitive dashboard, which shows the first results in the form of graphs and charts, updated after each message. Finally, a more in-depth analysis can be carried out at the end of the survey, thanks to text-mining techniques adapted to the context. As use case, the proposed methodology has been tested in a public event organized by Politecnico di Torino and addressed to female students, with the aim to collect their ideas about new services/opportunities that can be offered to support women in STEM.

This paper explores the prospects for developing a smartphone application to promote walking and sustainable mobility. The investigation is based on a review of available Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as well as existing applications. A survey is also carried out in order to evaluate young peoples' attitudes on aspects of active mobility and the necessity for a smart pedestrian application. The collected data was statistically analyzed, whereby important requirements were elicited for software development. It was shown that the survey method is an effective way for gathering initial requirements and verifying whether it is worthwhile to proceed to software development and implementation. Regarding the application, young people are quite positive on the prospects for a smart pedestrian navigation system.

Software companies’ acceptance to adopt security practices during the software development life cycle differs from one company to another. It can be said that one of the reasons for these differences is the varied characteristics of each company, such as its size, resources, and field. This paper aims to study the characteristics of companies that affect the adoption of security practices during software development. We studied eight company characteristics, some of which are classified as primary characteristics, including company size, type of developed software, and type of company. Meanwhile, the remaining five characteristics are classified as secondary characteristics, including company field, years of experience, methodology, presence of security experts, and approach to adopting security practices. A survey method was designed to find company characteristics that impact security adoption during software development. Results show that large companies, especially generic companies, adoption security practices more than other types of companies.

The LoRa is a Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) technology. It has been proposed as a viable wireless connection method for the implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT), thanks to its wide coverage, low complexity and low energy consumption. Several studies ave been carried out about real coverage performance. In this article, a new test methodology for the experimental evaluation of LoRaWAN coverage within a smart campus is presented. The new approach consists in the definition of devices, method and procedures. The architecture of the mobile node is outlined. The survey procedure is based on a mapping phase, necessary to highlight the LoRaWAN coverage in the test area. Finally, a use case is described in the article: it is not intended for evaluating a specific implementation, but for assessing the suitability of the proposed methodology. The use case results demonstrate the effectiveness of the survey methodology in a real smart campus.

Under the background of the rapid development of cruise travel, this paper mainly studies the usability of the light control panel interface of large cruise passenger cabin. In terms of research methods, the survey method of eye movement experiment is mainly adopted, and data analysis is carried out by combining the two analysis modes of effectiveness metrics of traditional usability evaluation and evaluation metrics of eye movement tracking data, and relatively objective conclusions are obtained. Then the subjective scale was used to test the participants' feelings about some interface problems. Finally, a reasonable proposal for the usability design of the light control panel interface of large cruise cabin is given. It is found that the Arranged type and the Map type are more likely to be the future trend in the design of light control panels for cruise cabins.

E-ticketing system is one of the most commonly used system these days. One common use case for e-ticketing is in ticket sales. Unfortunately, there are risks involved in existing e-ticketing systems. One of the biggest causes of risks consists of when the physical tickets are involved in its identification system. This research focuses on increasing the number of physical ticket authentication factors. Moreover, this research involves two methods; survey and theoretical method. The survey method is a research method used to collect physical tickets mainly based on oral and/or written communication. This research also uses literature where the research method is based on research from conferences, journals, and data from the data industry. The e-ticketing systems nowadays are still at the what you have level, while those proposed systems have risen at the what you are level. With fingerprints as a biometric authentication factor, the results show that security testing successfully resolved the risks involved.

This study aims to analyze the features of advertising consisting of interactivity and perceived relevance in social media to purchase intention through performance expectancy in the city of Bandung (Starbuck). The method used in this study uses a survey method with associative techniques to analyze the influence between variables, as a tool for analyzing samples used from the people of Bandung who are interested in Starbucks products. The results showed that communication (interactivity) partially had an effect on the expected performance, the relevance received partially affected the performance expected by consumers of Starbuck products. Simultaneously communication (interactivity) and the perceived relevance affect the expected performance. Furthermore, partially communication (interactivity) has an effect on purchase intention, the expected performance of consumers does not affect purchase intention and the relevance received does not affect purchase intention. Simultaneously communication (interactivity), the relevance received and the expected performance affect the purchase intention. For the empirical findings of this study, that communication (interactivity) that is built has the greatest influence compared to other variables. This shows that communication (interactivity) is a determining factor in increasing consumer purchase intention, while other variables still need to be studied more deeply considering the effect is not significant.

Entrepreneurship education is an element applicable to all diploma students in vocational colleges and it is aligned with the goals of these vocational colleges to produce competitive and competent entrepreneurs. Therefore, this study attempts to identify the characteristics of entrepreneurship for the purpose of teaching and learning in vocational colleges. There are three objectives of this research paper: first, to single out the most common teaching and learning method used by teachers in teaching the Entrepreneurship Module in vocational colleges; second, to identify the most prominent entrepreneurship characteristics imparted by teachers while teaching the Entrepreneurship Module in vocational colleges; and third, to compare the differences in teaching and learning methods used by teachers in teaching the Entrepreneurship Module in vocational colleges based on the field of study. The research design of this study is quantitative and the survey method using questionnaire is used. A total of 38 teachers teaching entrepreneurship modules at five vocational colleges were selected to answer the questionnaire. The findings show that the most common teaching and learning method used in the teaching and learning of Entrepreneurship Modules is the interactive approach, while the most prominent characteristic of entrepreneurship is motivation. This study also found that there are no significant differences between the teaching and learning methods adopted by the teachers for the Entrepreneurship Modules. In conclusion, the diversity of teaching and learning methods of imparting entrepreneurial skills enriches the students' learning experience and enhances the teachers' effectiveness of lesson delivery, which in turn produces competitive entrepreneurs.

In this study, a structural equation modelling (SEM) is used to evaluate the service quality of crowded urban railway. 8,011 sample questioners were collected using both online and face-to- face survey methods. First, service components that influence the service quality of crowded metros are investigated, and 7 service components and 27 factors are collected from the perspective of metro daily operation. Second, a SEM is proposed to establish the relationship between service quality and these service components and factors. We found that security check and transfer have the greatest effect on the overall satisfaction. And some practical suggestions (e.g., reducing the height of security check equipment, and theme station) are proposed to improve the service quality of daily metro operation.

Teachers need to improve knowledge and skills to enhance, improve, and explore their teaching practices. Many of the studies on competencies of teachers focus on the teaching role of teachers in the classroom rather than teachers' competencies. Competencies are defined as "the setoff knowledge, skills, and experience necessary for future, which manifests in activities." Gupta defined competencies as "knowledge, skills, attitudes, values, motivations and beliefs people need in order to be successful in a job." ICT competencies are based on using tools and technical equipment for reaching, distributing and transferring knowledge. In recent years, the field of TCS/FL (Teaching Chinese as a Second/Foreign Language) has rapidly expanded to every corner of the world. In this paper, we will examine pre-service teachers' TCFL integration of technological pedagogical didactical social ICT competencies in their daily life in the classroom. The present study aimed to identify the competencies needed by teachers for development and implementation of ICT-based education. The survey method of research was employed for the study. A rating scale was used to know the ICT related competencies that teachers needed for instructional purposes. The rating scale consisted of 47 items based on four types of teacher competencies. Sixteen weeks of observation and coaching to pre-service TCFL with an expert in ICT was established to create a new design for teaching pre-service teachers TCFL and to improve their quality and ICT competencies.

LoRa/LoRaWAN enables long-range links, which result in anisotropic propagation around the gateway as the links are likely to experience different environments. This property is not captured by popular distance based channel models, which makes them inaccurate to estimate LoRaWAN coverage. An alternative is conducting a site survey to build a path loss model, however, despite the many published LoRaWAN site surveys there is no accepted survey methodology. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a well-defined methodology that specifies how to plan and execute a site-survey for LoRa/LoRaWAN. Several disjoint survey paths are explored simultaneously to capture the high spatial variations of LoRaWAN coverage. The proposed methodology was examined in a small, hilly, town in rural Ireland and the measurements were fitted in both a single and dual component (near and far) log-distance path loss model, the latter being more accurate. We also investigated the impact of terrain elevation on the path loss and packet delivery rate, the impact of multipath reflection, and the variation in link quality from indoor and outdoor transmissions. Finally, using the collected measurements, we evaluated how increasing the number of survey paths affects the accuracy of the resulting channel model.

The regularity of trips has been a fundamental assumption for estimating or forecasting travel demand, which is an essential part of the analysis for traffic operation and planning. For this type of analysis, a survey method has been traditionally used to understand personal trip behavior in detail. However, surveys have limitations in collecting accurate traffic data on a large scale because they depend purely on participants’ memories. Recently, as the development of ICT facilitates collection of various traffic information, research using this new information has drawn attention, which discovers human mobility pattern on a wide range. In this study, a month of trajectory data collected from on-board transponders equipped in the vehicles in Daegu metropolitan city, South Korea was used to unveil the individual trip regularity in trip chain level. We applied dynamic time warping and the inter-spike interval algorithms to examine these data and to quantitatively measure spatial and temporal regularity separately. The outcomes showed that i) the degree of trip regularity can be properly estimated using the indices, ii) spatial and temporal regularities are correlated - drivers who made trips at regular times also used similar paths in space across days, and iii) commuters and non-commuters have different distributions of regularity scores - commuters made more regular trips. This finding is intriguing because the trip regularity can prove the predictability of human mobility. In addition, if regularity indices are used to measure historically collected trip behavior, this method can provide an alternative way of estimating or forecasting travel demand at the individual trip level.
