A conference paper prepared for presentation at the 2014 Annual Meeting of the American Political Science Association (APSA), Washington, D.C., on August 28-31, 2014 is presented. It examines several aspects of civic education and web-writing in terms of politics. It also discusses literatures from political science and higher education policy studies, and activities to counter the trend of declining participation by bolstering understanding, motivations, and skills of students.

The article discusses the disciplines of political science and law and the role of courts in the management of economic issues. Topics discussed include the regulation of the insurance industry in the U.S., the evolution of insurance common law, and insurance policy contexts. Also provided are some Supreme Court decisions regarding conflicts between insurers and claimants.
