The article raises awareness on some technical and general questions from a physician’s point of view about psychochemicals, a branch of chemical warfare. This awareness was made on the growing debate in the nonmedical press on chemical, bacteriological, and radiological warfare. According to the author, some important conclusions can be reached from available data and general pharmacological principles, although most of the military data are secret and unpublished. Among the potential psychotropic weapons include lysergic acid, mescaline, psilocybine, and methedrine and others that are being secretly developed.
