The article cites a study on the use of standard materials and activities in the day school programs for seriously disturbed children offered by Forum School in Ridgewood, New Jersey. The research was participated by children ages from five to ten years who have been diagnosed with childhood schizophrenia. Symptoms of schizophrenia include autistic, symbiotic, aggressive or hyperactive behavior. Moreover, this illness can be differentiated from the conditions of an organic brain damage or mental disabilities regardless of the findings which found that children are potential for such illness. This program was designed to promote healthy child development through strengthening teacher-child relationship.
