ABSTRACT Mycotoxin-producing fungi are widespread and their adverse effects on mammals have been investigated; however, their impacts on soil invertebrates are not fully understood. Folsomia candida is a model soil arthropod that represents an important part of the soil invertebrate community. This study investigated the consequences of F. candida grazing on mycotoxin-producing fungi Fusarium verticillioides, F. graminearum, Aspergillus ochraceus, and A. nidulans. Consuming mycotoxin-producing fungi affected the body size and reproductive ability of F. candida, and altered the gut bacterial composition, with decreased Proteobacteria and increased Actinobacteria (Microbacterium) abundances. Notably, the abundance of foodborne fungi can be detected. Furthermore, certain bacteria isolated from F. candida’s gut inhibited the growth of corresponding mycotoxin-producing fungi. The gut bacteria that inhibited mycotoxin-producing fungi growth in Aspergillus groups were also associated with poor fitness parameters and larger disruption in gut microbiota. Importantly, switching back to yeast diets reversed both the fitness parameters and gut bacterial composition. Together, our study demonstrated that grazing of mycotoxin-producing fungi by F. candida resulted in reduced physiological parameters and disturbed the gut bacterial community, and those changes can be restored by switching back to yeast diets, which indicates a strong resilience of springtails to mycotoxin-producing fungi.IMPORTANCEMycotoxin-producing fungi are widespread in nature and raise concerns for human and livestock health. Although they share the same ecosystem, interactions between mycotoxin-producing fungi and soil arthropods are not well understood. In this study, we report an unexpected finding that the soil arthropod Folsomia candida is rather tolerant to these mycotoxin-producing fungi. F. candida can survive solely on mycotoxin-producing fungi as a food source with reduced physiological parameters. Moreover, the gut microbial community is disturbed by mycotoxin-producing fungi, and some of the bacteria isolated from F. candida’s gut can inhibit the growth of corresponding fungi. Notably, the altered physiological parameters and gut microbiota are restored when a normal diet is reintroduced, suggesting F. candida’s resilience to mycotoxin-producing fungi. These findings clarify the impact of toxin-producing diets on F. candida, shedding light on how organisms can build resilience to environmental stimuli.

BackgroundDifficulty in achieving complete resection leads to a poor prognosis for retroperitoneal soft tissue sarcoma, hence emphasizing the significance of adjuvant treatment. The benefit of preoperative radiotherapy for retroperitoneal liposarcoma was initially demonstrated by the STRASS trial. However, the impact of intraoperative radiotherapy (IORT) on retroperitoneal liposarcoma remains unexplored.MethodPatients with retroperitoneal liposarcoma were identified in the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database, treated between 2000 and 2019. Subsequently, a 1:1 propensity score-matched (PSM) analysis was conducted based on variables identified from a multivariate analysis. T-tests were used to assess differences in normally distributed continuous variables, while the rank-sum test was applied to variables that did not follow a normal distribution. The chi-squared test was utilized to evaluate differences in categorical variables. Ultimately, survival analysis was performed using SPSS to evaluate patient prognosis.ResultA total of 2129 patients with retroperitoneal liposarcoma were included in our study. Age, sex, histology, grading, chemotherapy, and tumor size as independent prognostic risk factors for these patients through multivariate Cox regression analysis. Subsequently, 66 patients were included in the survival analysis through PSM, with 33 patients receiving IORT. Finally, the survival analysis revealed that there was no difference in overall survival among patients with retroperitoneal liposarcoma, regardless of whether they received IORT or not (p= 0.711).ConclusionAs an exploratory study, our findings suggest that patients may not derive benefit from intraoperative radiotherapy. These observations are intended to lay the groundwork for future prospective clinical studies.

The excitation function of the charged particle-induced reaction plays an important role in basic nuclear physics research, nuclear engineering design and nuclear technology applications, and which is also essential input information required in areas such as accelerator shielding and fusion reactor design, space radiation effects, radiation therapy and biomedical radioisotope production. In the field of tumor therapy, 211At is ideal targeted therapeutic nuclide for generating α-rays, which is prepared by α-particle bombardment of a bismuth target, and therefore the large-scale production of 211At nuclide relies on the information related to the data of 209Bi(α,2n)211At reaction excitation function and the thick target yield of the 211At nuclide. The production of 211At nuclide is accompanied with the production of 210At nuclide (the decaying substrates are highly toxic 210Po nuclides), and it is also necessary to analyze the data of excitation function for the 209Bi(α,3n)210At reaction and the thick target yield of the 210At nuclide for determining whether the prepared 211At product meets the requirements of the subsequent drug labelling. Based on the above background, the experimental data of 209Bi(α,2n)211At and 209Bi(α,3n)210At reaction excitation function in the Experimental Nuclear Reaction Database (EXFOR) were compiled and analyzed. However, there are still divergency in the experimental data of the reaction excitation functions, especially for the 209Bi(α,3n)210At reaction, and the analyzed available experimental data are discontinuous in some energy region. For providing the reasonable and continuous data of the above two reactions, the relevant theoretical calculations were carried out based on the EMPIRE code. Through the comparison between the experimental data and the EMPIRE calculation results, the reasonable forms of optical potential parameters and level density parameters are chosen. With the enhanced generalized superuid model (EGSM) for level density in the EMPIRE code, the evolution data of the excitation functions of the above two reactions are obtained, and both of them are in general agreement with the analyzed experimental data. Based on the evolution data of 209Bi(α,2n)211At reaction excitation function, the thick target yield of the medical radioisotope 211At was calculated, and it is in good agreement with the related experimental data. Besides, the thick target yield of 210At (the parent nucleus of the highly toxic nuclide 210Po) was also studied. And the results show that the thick target yield ratio of 210At to 211At is less than 10-5 at Eα

Oxidative stress in muscles is closely related to the occurrence of insulin resistance, muscle weakness and atrophy, age-related sarcopenia, and cancer. Aldehydes, a primary oxidation intermediate of polyunsaturated fatty acids, have been proven to be an important trigger for oxidative stress. However, the potential role of linoleic acid (LA) as a donor for volatile aldehydes to trigger oxidative stress has not been reported. Here, we reported that excessive dietary LA caused muscle redox imbalance and volatile aldehydes containing hexanal, 2-hexenal, and nonanal were the main metabolites leading to oxidative stress. Importantly, we identified 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) as a key enzyme mediating LA peroxidation in crustaceans for the first time. The inhibition of 5-LOX significantly suppressed the content of aldehydes produced by excessive LA. Mechanistically, the activation of the cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP)-protein kinase A (PKA) pathway facilitated the translocation of 5-LOX from the nucleus to the cytoplasm, where 5-LOX oxidized LA, leading to oxidative stress through the generation of aldehydes. This study suggests that 5-LOX is a potential target to prevent the production of harmful aldehydes.

Abstract Protein degradation techniques, such as proteolysis‐targeting chimeras (PROTACs) and lysosome‐targeting chimeras (LYTACs), have emerged as promising therapeutic strategies for the treatment of diseases. However, the efficacy of current protein degradation methods still needs to be improved to address the complex mechanisms underlying diseases. Herein, a LYTAC Plus hydrogel engineered is proposed by nucleic acid self‐assembly, which integrates a gene silencing motif into a LYTAC construct to enhance its therapeutic potential. As a proof‐of‐concept study, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR)‐binding peptides and mannose‐6 phosphate (M6P) moieties into a self‐assembled nucleic acid hydrogel are introduced, enabling its LYTAC capability. Small interference RNAs (siRNAs) is then employed that target the angiopoietin‐2 (ANG‐2) gene as cross‐linkers for hydrogel formation, giving the final LYTAC Plus hydrogel gene silencing ability. With dual functionalities, the LYTAC Plus hydrogel demonstrated effectiveness in simultaneously reducing the levels of VEGFR‐2 and ANG‐2 both in vitro and in vivo, as well as in improving therapeutic outcomes in treating neovascular age‐related macular degeneration in a mouse model. As a general material platform, the LYTAC Plus hydrogel may possess great potential for the treatment of various diseases and warrant further investigation.

Abstract Background The effect of attachment positions on anchorage has not been fully explored. The aim of the present study is to analyze the effect of overtreatment with different anchorage positions on maxillary anchorage enhancement with clear aligners in extraction cases. Methods Models of the maxilla and maxillary dentition were constructed and imported into SOLIDWORKS software to create periodontal ligament (PDL), clear aligners, and attachments. Attachment positions on second premolars included: without attachment (WOA), buccal attachment (BA), and bucco-palatal attachment (BPA). Overtreatment degrees were divided into five groups (0°, 1°, 2°, 3°, 4°) and added on the second premolars. The calculation and analysis of the displacement trends and stress were performed using ANSYS software. Results Distal tipping and extrusion of the canines, and mesial tipping and intrusion of the posterior teeth occurred during retraction. A strong anchorage was achieved in cases of overtreatment of 2.8° with BA and 2.4° with BPA. Moreover, the BPA showed the best in achieving bodily control of the second premolars. When the overtreatment was performed, the canines and first molars also showed reduced tipping trends with second premolars attachments. And the stress on the PDL and the alveolar bone was significantly relieved and more evenly distributed in the BPA group. Conclusions Overtreatment is an effective means for anchorage enhancement. However, the biomechanical effect of overtreatment differs across attachment positions. The BPA design performs at its best for stronger overtreatment effects with fewer adverse effects.

Usually, radon detector must be calibrated every year, commonly used solid radon source calibration method and radon chamber calibration method. The former has the problems of radon source device aging, complex operation and radioactive substances vulnerable to transport control. The latter has problems such as calibration time principal and inability to achieve on-site calibration. Based on the above facts, this paper proposes an experimental method for the calibration of radon measuring instrument using uranium waste rock, which is used to realize the field calibration of seismic radon measuring instrument. The results show that the radon concentration control method has high accuracy and stability, and the relative error between the output gas radon concentration and the preset target is 1%. The comparison between the calibration experiment of uranium mine waste rock and the calibration experiment of standard radon chamber shows that the calibration values of the calibration coefficient of the two are in good agreement, the relative error is only 1.14%, and the normalized error En is only 0.135 6, which is within the expected range. It can provide theoretical support for the subsequent development of portable radon detector calibration device.

Based on the survey results of Spartina alterniflora, sediments, and intertidal benthic organisms in Zhangjiang Estuary Mangrove Reserve in 2019 and 2020, and combined with historical remote sensing image data, this paper analyzed the invasion process of S. alterniflora. The results showed that: The plant height of S. alterniflora in the high tide area of Zhangjiang Estuary Mangrove Reserve was slightly lower than that of mangroves in the same tidal area, and also lower than that of S. alterniflora in the middle tidal area, and it was more inclined to expand to the beach. The contents of total nitrogen, sulfide and organic carbon in the sediments of S. alterniflora in the study area were higher than those of the sand, and the content of total salt was lower than that of the sand. According to the analysis of remote sensing images in the study area, S. alterniflora maintained a high rate of expansion in Zhangjiang Estuary Mangrove Reserve from 2011 to 2019, and the expansion of S. alterniflora entered a stable period in 2020. According to the abundance biomass comparison method, the intertidal benthic community structure in the S. alterniflora area in 2020 was more stable than that in 2019. This study believes that when studying the impact of S. alterniflora invasion on coastal wetlands, in addition to considering the survey method, temporal and spatial factors and the length of the invasion time of S. alterniflora, the different expansion periods of S. alterniflora invasion should also be considered.

Abstract Water distribution systems (WDSs) are used to transmit and distribute water resources in cities. Water distribution networks (WDNs) are partitioned into district metered areas (DMAs) by water network partitioning (WNP), which can be used for leak control, pollution monitoring, and pressure optimization in WDS management. In order to overcome the limitations of optimal search range and the decrease of recovery ability caused by two-step WNP and fixed DMAs in previous studies, this study developed a new method combining a graph neural network to realize integrated WNP and dynamic DMAs to optimize WDS management and respond to emergencies. The proposed method was tested in a practical case study; the results showed that good hydraulic performance of the WDN was maintained and that dynamic DMAs demonstrated excellent stability in emergency situations, which proves the effectiveness of the method in WNP.

Abstract Partitioning a water distribution network into several district metered areas is beneficial for its management. Partitioning a network according to its node features and connections remains a challenge. A recent study has realized water network partitioning based on node features or pipe connections individually. This study proposes an unsupervised clustering method for nodes based on a graph neural network, which uses graph attention technology to update node features based on the connections and a neural network to cluster nodes. The similarity between nodes located in each area and the balance of the total water demand between areas are optimized, and the importance of the boundary pipes is calculated to determine the installation position of flowmeters and valves. Three water distribution networks with different structures and sizes are used to verify the proposed model. The results show that the average location differences (LocDiffs) within the areas of the three networks completed by partitioning are 0.12, 0.07, and 0.06, and the total demand differences (DemDiffs) between areas are 0.13, 0.27, and 0.29, respectively. The LocDiff and DemDiff of the proposed method decreased by 6% and 55%, respectively, when compared to the traditional clustering method. Additionally, the proposed method for calculating the importance of boundaries provides an objective basis for boundary closure. When the same number of boundaries are closed, the comprehensive impact of the proposed method on the pipe network decreases by 17.1%. The proposed method can be used in practical applications because it ensures a highly reliable and interpretive water distribution network partitioning method.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of concentrated growth factor (CGF) membrane for the sealing of alveolar socket in alveolar ridge preservation (ARP). A total of 22 patients with 24 alveolar sockets were recruited and divided randomly into CGF group and Bio-Gide collagen membrane group. The soft tissue wound healing rate was calculated using intraoral scanner at 3, 7, and 14 days after ARP, and the bone resorption volume at 1, 3, and 5 mm below the alveolar ridge was measured by CBCT at 6 months postoperation. The keratinized gingival width was also measured before and 6 months after ridge preservation. In terms of soft tissue healing rate, the CGF group exhibited significant higher than that of Bio-Gide group at both 7 and 14 days after surgery (P 0.05). Therefore, the use of CGFs membranes for wound closure in ARP is a reliable method, but more clinical data are needed to prove it.

ObjectivesThis study aimed to examine the coverage of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination and its cognitive determinants among older adults.MethodsA cross-sectional study was conducted using a questionnaire to conduct a survey among 725 Chinese older adults aged 60 years and above in June 2022, 2 months after the mass COVID-19 outbreak in Shanghai, China. The questionnaire covered demographic characteristics, COVID-19 vaccination status, internal risk perception, knowledge, and attitude toward the efficacy and safety of COVID-19 vaccines.ResultsThe vaccination rate was 78.3% among the surveyed individuals. Self-reported reasons for unwillingness to get vaccinated (multiple selections) were “concerns about acute exacerbation of chronic diseases after vaccination (57.3%)” and “concerns regarding vaccine side effects (41.4%).” Compared to the unvaccinated group, the vaccinated group tended to have a higher score in internal risk perception (t = 2.64, P < 0.05), better knowledge of COVID-19 vaccines (t = 5.84, P < 0.05), and a more positive attitude toward the efficacy and safety of COVID-19 vaccines (t = 7.92, P < 0.05). The path analysis showed that the cognitive effect on vaccination behavior is relatively large, followed by the internal risk perception, and then the attitude toward COVID-19 vaccines. The more knowledgeable the participants were about COVID-19 vaccines, the more likely they were to receive the COVID-19 vaccines. In the multivariate logistic regression, the increased coverage of COVID-19 vaccination was associated with reduced age (OR = 0.53 95% CI 0.43–0.66, P < 0.001), being a resident in other places than Shanghai (OR = 0.40, 95% CI 0.17–0.92, P < 0.05), a shorter time of lockdown (OR = 0.33, 95% CI 0.13–0.83, P < 0.05), a history of other vaccines (OR = 2.58, 95% CI 1.45–4.60, P < 0.01), a fewer number of chronic diseases (OR = 0.49, 95% CI 0.38–0.62, P < 0.001), better knowledge about COVID-19 vaccines (OR = 1.60, 95% CI 1.17–2.19, P < 0.01), and a positive attitude toward COVID-19 vaccines (OR = 9.22, 95% CI 4.69–18.09, P < 0.001).ConclusionAcquiring accurate knowledge and developing a positive attitude toward COVID-19 vaccines are important factors associated with COVID-19 vaccination. Disseminating informed information on COVID-19 vaccines and ensuring efficacious communication regarding their efficacy and safety would enhance awareness about COVID-19 vaccination among older adults and consequently boost their vaccination coverage.

Abstract Background Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN1) is a rare autosomal dominant tumor syndrome with a high degree of heterogeneity in clinical phenotypes, generally involving the parathyroid, anterior pituitary, and enteropancreas. In recent years, several new insights into the clinical features of MEN1 have been reported in the literature. However, it is not clear whether MEN1-associated primary tumors can occur in the liver. Case presentation We report the case of a 52-year-old man with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 diagnosed by genetic sequencing. After uniportal thoracoscopic right middle lobectomy, laparoscopic radical resection of the liver tumors, and radiofrequency ablation of the parathyroid space, the parathyroid hormone level decreased from 177 pg/ml to a normal level (20 pg/ml). No local tumor recurrence was observed during a follow-up of 5 months. Conclusion We report the first case of MEN1 with simultaneous liver and lung involvement in which the patient underwent radical resection of the tumors, and we propose the possibility that the liver and other nonendocrine organs may also develop diseases associated with MEN1; although, this view needs further verification. Gene detection has crucial clinical significance for guiding diagnosis and treatment.

In order to effectively prevent and control the impact of reclamation activities on the marine ecological environment, according to the relevant technical guidelines, taking the pressure of habitat, organisms and ecosystem as the index, and based on the survey results of marine ecological environment, this paper evaluated the cumulative impact of reclamation projects on the stability of Meizhou Bay ecosystem, and put forward some suggestions. The results showed that with the increasing intensity of reclamation activities, the marine ecological environment of Meizhou Bay deteriorated significantly from 2010 to 2013, and the stability index of the bay ecosystem showed a downward trend, reaching the degree of serious damage since 2012. We should strictly control the large-scale reclamation activities in Meizhou Bay, focus on the habitat restoration of fishery resources and benthos, and optimize the assignment of primary productivity in the technical guidelines.

Delineating the clinical target volume (CTV) and organs at risk (OARs) is crucial in rectal cancer radiotherapy. However, the accuracy of manual delineation (MD) is variable and the process is time consuming. Automatic delineation (AD) may be a solution to produce quicker and more accurate contours. In the present study, a convolutional neural network (CNN)-based AD tool was clinically evaluated to analyze its accuracy and efficiency in rectal cancer. CT images were collected from 148 supine patients in whom tumor stage and type of surgery were not differentiated. The rectal cancer contours consisted of CTV and OARs, where the OARs included the bladder, left and right femoral head, left and right kidney, spinal cord and bowel bag. The MD contours reviewed and modified together by a senior radiation oncologist committee were set as the reference values. The Dice similarity coefficient (DSC), Jaccard coefficient (JAC) and Hausdorff distance (HD) were used to evaluate the AD accuracy. The correlation between CT slice number and AD accuracy was analyzed, and the AD accuracy for different contour numbers was compared. The time recorded in the present study included the MD time, AD time for different CT slice and contour numbers and the editing time for AD contours. The Pearson correlation coefficient, paired-sample t-test and unpaired-sample t-test were used for statistical analyses. The results of the present study indicated that the DSC, JAC and HD for CTV using AD were 0.80±0.06, 0.67±0.08 and 6.96±2.45 mm, respectively. Among the OARs, the highest DSC and JAC using AD were found for the right and left kidney, with 0.91±0.06 and 0.93±0.04, and 0.84±0.09 and 0.88±0.07, respectively, and HD was lowest for the spinal cord with 2.26±0.82 mm. The lowest accuracy was found for the bowel bag. The more CT slice numbers, the higher the accuracy of the spinal cord analysis. However, the contour number had no effect on AD accuracy. To obtain qualified contours, the AD time plus editing time was 662.97±195.57 sec, while the MD time was 3294.29±824.70 sec. In conclusion, the results of the present study indicate that AD can significantly improve efficiency and a higher number of CT slices and contours can reduce AD efficiency. The AD tool provides acceptable CTV and OARs for rectal cancer and improves efficiency for delineation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Santanghu Basin is a typical low-rank coal-bearing basin in northwest China, with abundant coalbed methane (CBM) resources. However, the understanding of the main controlling factors and reservoir formation models of CBM in low-rank coal is still insufficient, which has restricted the exploration and development of CBM in this region. In this paper, the CBM enrichment controlling factors and enrichment models are analyzed based on the aspects of sedimentary environment, reservoir characteristics, sealing conditions, and hydrogeological conditions after systematically analyzing the geological characteristics of coal measures. The research results indicate that the coal seams of the Xishanyao Formation in the Santanghu Basin are stably developed, with the main macerals being vitrinite and a lower degree of coalification belonging to low-rank coal; the highest content of CBM can reach 7.17 m3/t, and the methane is mainly composed of biogenic gas supplemented by thermogenic gas; the roof lithology of the coal seam is mainly mudstone and siltstone, with good sealing conditions. Finally, two enrichment modes of coalbed methane in slope zones are proposed, namely, the CBM enrichment in the slope zone and the CBM enrichment by fault-hydraulic plugging. The results of this study can serve as a guide for the exploration and development of the deep-buried coalbed methane in the low-rank coal areas.

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of cholesterol (CHO) on ovarian development of Eriocheir sinensis through a feeding trial. Crabs (average weight 43.35 ± 0.05 g) were randomly fed with one of three diets: 0% CHO, 0.4% CHO and 1.6% CHO for 16 weeks. Results indicated that the hepatosomatic index (HSI) and gonad index (GSI) of crabs fed with 0.4% CHO diet were significantly higher than those in the control group. (P < 0.05). Meanwhile, 0.4% CHO can significantly increase the gene expression of vtg and vgr in ovary (P < 0.05), thus promoting the accumulation of Vtg. The protein expression of MEK1/2, ERK, p-ERK1/2, Cyclin B and CDC2 were significantly increased in the 0.4% CHO group, therefore dietary CHO might promote oocyte maturation by activating MAPK signal pathway and cooperating with maturation promoting factor (MPF). Further exploration results showed that 0.4% CHO was able to significantly up-regulate the protein expression of STAR and SR-B1 to promote the transport of CHO to ovary, thereby providing sufficient substrates for estradiol (E2) synthesis. In addition, the results in vivo and in vitro shown that CHO could regulate the activities of enzymes such as CYP11A1 and CYP19A1 through the cAMP-PKA-CREB/SF-1 signal pathway and then affects the level of E2 in the organism. In summary, supplementing the appropriate amount of CHO in the diet can improve the E2 level of the organism, thus increasing the accumulation of nutrients in the ovary, promoting the completion of meiosis, and finally achieving the purpose of promoting ovarian maturation.

BackgroundMalnutrition is common in patients with gastrointestinal cancer. The first step in the diagnosis of malnutrition is to evaluate the malnutrition risk by validated screening tools according to the Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition (GLIM). This study aimed to determine the best nutritional screening tool for identifying GLIM malnutrition and validate the performance of these tools in different age subgroups.Materials and methodsWe did a prospective cohort study of patients who were diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancer from February 2016 to November 2019. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive values (PPV), negative predictive values (NPV), and area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve (AUC) of three screening tools (Nutritional risk screening 2002 (NRS 2002), Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index (GNRI), MNA-SF) were calculated.ResultsA total of 488 patients were enrolled, and 138 patients (28.27%) were malnutrition according to the GLIM criteria. At present, the traditional control strategy of heating systems is still unable to achieve building heating on demand, which enhances the energy consumption of heating and affects the thermal comfort of buildings. Therefore, this study puts forward a novel data-driven MPC for building thermal inlet, which allows the optimal operation of the district heating system and has been verified by simulation with three public buildings. In this method, the indoor temperature at the next moment reaches the temperature set value by changing the current flow rate. First, based on the energy consumption monitoring platform and the measured data of the buildings, the building indoor temperature prediction model at the next moment is established by using long short-term memory (LSTM). Compared with subspace model identification (SMI), LSTM has higher prediction accuracy, and the R2 was about 0.9 in three buildings. Second, the particle generated by particle swarm optimization, which represents the flow variation, is input to the trained LSTM to predict the indoor temperature. By minimizing the objective function, the optimal flow change at the current time can be calculated. The results showed that the MPC based on a data-driven model can adjust the flow rate in time to maintain a stable indoor temperature with ±0.5 °C error. In addition, when the temperature setting needs to be changed, the indoor temperature can reach the new set value in 3 h, which outperforms the PID control. The method proposed in this paper can greatly reduce the influence of regulation lag by adjusting the flow in advance.

Conventional winnowing machines rely on manual operation and adjust their parameter settings based on experience. These problems have led to poor wind sorting results. In order to improve the sorting accuracy and efficiency of the tea winnowing machine, a double-layer automatically controlled winnowing machine has been designed in this study. Firstly, an automatic control system based on a programmable logic controller is established. Secondly, the AC motor control technology is used to achieve the automatic adjustment of the baffle position. The prototype tests show that the control input voltage of the vibrating feeder is 2 V for Lan tea and 1.5 V for pan-fried green tea material. The frequencies of the upper fan are 30 Hz and 25 Hz, respectively, while those of the lower fan are 35 Hz and 30 Hz, respectively. For Lan tea, the No. 3 baffle moves to the right by 5 cm, and the positions of the No. 5 and No. 6 baffles remain unchanged. The main outlet of the double-layer winnowing machine contains 3.72% impurities. As for pan-fried green tea, the position of the No. 3 baffle remains unchanged, the No. 5 baffle moves 5 cm to the right, and the No. 6 baffle moves 4.5 cm to the right. The main outlet of the winnowing machine contains 4.28% impurities. The experiments indicate that the double-layer winnowing machine is more effective than the single-layer one and can provide a reference for an efficient and accurate winnowing machine.
