They say that Heath's new owners wished to attract the as-yet-untapped design-savvy audience, but still acknowledge the company's history and dedication to craft. They add that the brochure forwards a more contemporary sensibility, but also features vintage imagery and verbal anecdotes that highlight Heath's background and handmade processes.

Minh Nguyen, senior designer, Connie Waks, writer, Jann Hattrup, editor, and Young Lee, photographer of design firm Methodologie, Seattle, Washington, say that their client Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle's report of affordable housing highlights its successful community lending programs by sharing the personal stories of participants.

This article focuses on nineteenth century capealmanacs and directories. In its simplest form an almanac is a book or table containing the days, weeks and months of the year, showing a register of ecclesiastical and other festivals and saints' days together with a record of astronomical phenomena. With the passage of time the contents of almanacs were augmented and expanded to include other useful information of record such as factual records on the weather and rainfall; institutions and personalia; taxes and duties; gardening and agricultural calendars; shipping movements, etc. Being issued each year they were regarded as ephemeral and old ones were usually discarded. Their fascination and importance derive largely from the fact that they contain unbiased records of earlier times. While these annual publications are commonly referred to as "Cape Almanacs," their actual titles changed from time to time, as did the publishers, printers and compilers. They appeared every year from 1801 until 1897 with the exception of 1803 and 1864. After 1897 directories of different kinds, some in specialized fields, became numerous and of less interest to the collector.

This article reports on the anti-gay pamphlets being distributed in Vermont as of March 2005. The First Amendment protects the right of people to distribute literature. But that doesn't mean they can litter, according to police in Brattleboro, Vermont, who arrested Connecticut resident Christopher Gearhart on February 17, 2005, for tossing antigay pamphlets onto sidewalks, lawns, and private driveways. Gearhart said he came to Vermont to distribute the pamphlets, titled Is Homosexual Activity Normal?, and containing descriptions of gay sex, because of the state's civil unions law. The pamphlets were produced by Marietta, Georgia--based organization The Truth at Last, which among other things promotes the idea that the Holocaust never took place. Curtiss Reed Jr., executive director of the Alana Community Organization in Brattleboro, said the Georgia group has been leafleting the town for several years, perhaps because it was once a stronghold for the Ku Klux Klan. He adds that in the Summer of 2004, the organization had one on unequal justice for whites. This was the first homophobic pamphlet.
