The article highlights the work done for the bioclimatic conditioning of the Expo92 in Seville, with Jaime López de Asiain being highlighted as its main promoter. The importance of building and designing our cities in a sustainable way is mentioned, transforming buildings and mobility systems to achieve a carbon-neutral civilization. The Bioclimatic Architecture Seminar at the University of Seville developed prototypes of bioclimatic houses and schools in the 1980s, demonstrating that it was possible to build energy-efficient architecture without increasing costs. Additionally, the participation of different individuals in the Master Plan of the Universal Exhibition of Seville 1992 is described, highlighting the collaboration of José Pérez de Lama, Roberto González Astobiza, Diego Íñiguez Rivero, and José María Cabeza in the bioclimatic conditioning chapter of the plan. This article deals with how sustainability has impacted the teaching of architecture, from the development of curricula, through a series of good teaching practices, as well as directing the social action strategies of the Campus. These strategies are exemplified with the case of two university extension projects in two chapels in the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico. The joint work of teachers and students, as well as the close work with the communities, fosters academic exercises that consider the resources, technology, and local knowledge of the inhabitants, which has the objective of promoting empathic and critical reflection on the student's future professional practice, as well as promoting the self-management capacity of the communities where the intervention takes place. This article explores the concept of vernacular architecture, its prehistoric origins and presents some examples in the world that continue to be used and constitute lessons in sustainability and bioclimatic design. Vernacular architecture, despite being commonly undervalued and associated with poverty, is currently being revalued as an ethical and sustainable architecture in the face of the growing threat of climate change. This architecture is not necessarily an architecture "without architects", but the result of an accumulation of constructive design decisions of many anonymous actors who contributed to the creation of very localized and contextual architectural models and typologies, tested over time. However, despite its resilience, it is constantly threatened by the loss of ancestral knowledge about traditional constructions or the lack of technical support in its maintenance, situations that cause the values associated with vernacular architecture to be lost as well. The global trend of research related to energy performance due to the implementation of green roofs in buildings was evaluated through a bibliometric quantification based on the scientific literature available in the Scopus database. Finding an increase in publications from 2010. The United States and Italy are the most productive countries. High collaboration is observed, mainly between authors and institutions. The review articles are the ones that manage to capture the attention in the new studies, the pattern in the citations shows the route of interests in the development of the area. The achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is one of the concerns present in the work of many libraries. In addition to raising awareness, training, collection development, etc., library buildings and infrastructures can also contribute to achieving the goals and objectives set out in the 2030 Agenda. The IFLA, different associations, and organizations have been working along these lines, although the percentage of actions in this vein is still in the minority compared with the other lines mentioned. Introduction. This article presents the final results of the research Analysis of the thermal comfort of residential complexes carried out in the city of Portoviejo, Ecuador. Objective. Analyze the perception of thermal comfort of the housing units of the Fuentes del Río housing complex in the city of Portoviejo and recognize the elements that favor or not the climatic quality of the interior of their spaces, through research techniques and technological tools, demonstrating the value of orienting the buildings of a residential nature according to the climatic conditions that influence them. Materials and methods. A bibliographic and field research is presented, supported by the diagnosis of the architectural complex under study. Results. Once the valuations were obtained, we proceeded by means of design strategies to devise elements that mitigate the climatic incidences inside homes, in addition to preparing a list of bioclimatic parameters that contribute to the projection of future urban complexes in the urban area of the city of Portoviejo. Conclusions. The elements analyzed allow us to recognize the importance of using bioclimatic parameters or principles of sustainable architecture and the use of constructive technology that empower the creation of sustainable housing programs, contributing positively to the environment and improving the habitability of the spaces. The requirement of a sustainable management of the historical heritage sites demands the design of management control models that contemplate the particularities of those sites, beyond the architectural ones. The goal of this paper is the design of a holistic, contingent and integrator model to be used by the public and/or private managers for the sustainable management. Tourism has experienced sustained growth in recent years in Cuba and national policies favor this trend. This work seeks new ways to achieve this purpose by investigating design solutions for tourist facilities with small accommodation capacity in natural environments, with the use of bamboo as a building material. Various theoretical and practical methods were applied, including the realization of a 1:10 scale model of a cabin. Design solutions are proposed for a 100-room tourist village in "Salto y Ganuza", north of Villa Clara, estimating that the cost of the bamboo hut represents 61% of a similar one with traditional techniques. This, together with the versatility of bamboo to achieve innovative forms within the national panorama, and its benefits to the environment, suggests that the proposal is a valid alternative for hotel development in the country. The life of buildings over time and the phenomenon of obsolescence are clearly evident processes in the case of Valparaíso, Chile. Given the morphological characteristics and the associated ways of life, it is presumed that any rehabilitation action must take on a comprehensive approach by covering the material, functional, social and environmental dimensions. For the present study, exploratory research on how to improve this deterioration was carried out with the objective of developing a multiscale tool for characterizing problems and opportunities for sustainable architectural rehabilitation. Using a qualitative architectural analysis methodology, three potential areas for action were identified. Present in the "intermediate dimension," they make it possible to plan an intervention and include: the potential for comfort, the ability for socio-spatial self-regeneration, and the opportunity for revitalization. With different socio-spatial reconstruction instruments and theoretical support, obsolescence diagnostics were prepared taking into consideration the pre-existing conditions, which lead to the formulation of new interventions. Robotic projects involve components framed within areas such as electronics; mechanics, control and programming in which different critical variables intervene that can compromise the achievement of the expected results. In this project, numerous requirements were formulated to be satisfied with limited resources, which forces to have a small margin of error in its manufacture. Techniques used in product development were used to achieve the required specifications for the project. The article describes the development of a robot in the stages of informational project, conceptual project, detailed project and manufacturing. They are presented design considerations studied and analyzed to obtain a functional robotic arm running tasks agriculture. Techniques such as QFD (Quality Function Development) were used to translate the needs associated with the project into engineering decisions. The Mudge diagram (value analysis matrix) is used as a method of comparison and hierarchy of requirements. With the application of QFD the requirements of the robot are transformed into quality characteristics that allow to generate a conceptual project with the methods and activities to execute. The sustainability of the planet requires a significant change in the way we relate to the environment. In this context, the great challenge is to move from discourse to practice. Universities, which are responsible for educating future professionals and researchers, should take a leadership position in this process. However, the fragmentation of knowledge into isolated areas or departments does not contribute to the implementation of these relevant changes. The process of developing a regenerative project for the main campus of Santa Catarina University in Brazil relates directly to the debate on the role of the physical space of universities as a pedagogical instrument for the resilience of ecosystems. The design concept arose from the analyses and propositions of graduate students from different disciplines. The Order of May 13, 2022 approves the General Instructions for the Management of Forests in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia (IGOMCAA). This order seeks to improve inventory techniques and the drafting of forest management projects and technical plans. It also aims to expand the typology of forest management instruments and comply with certification standards for good practices in sustainable forest management. The order regulates the structure and minimum contents of forest management instruments and establishes the administrative procedure for associated applications. Huerta del Rey is a residential housing estate in Valladolid consisting of apartment blocks surrounded by green spaces. It has attained a degree of national prestige (1950s-1990s) and today is close to the paradigm of the green city promulgated by the modernist movement. Although its development has been relatively well documented, the question of how the creation of this "green" landscape was represented has received little research attention. We must examine the original sources for each stage to find the plans or uncover the construction of the various narratives behind this shared abstract objective. The conception, representation and placement of green spaces generally forms part of a somewhat neglected discipline in Spain. However, in Huerta del Rey, its importance was recognised by knowledgeable and committed professionals, who created a design with a wealth of nuances, despite not being the result of a pressing, cohesive dialogue. The construction industry is involved significantly with the use of natural resources and environmental impacts. Different strategies for mitigating the environmental footprint of buildings have emerged and the development of environmental standards and certifications have been established as the most remarkable tools. The present work adopts four criteria of typifying sustainable rating systems for buildings emphasizing on the geaographic and social context; Influence, accessibility, weighting and environmental impact measurement; to evaluate the Bogota Construcción Sostenible rating system. Within the framework of its mission of innovation for sustainable development, the Institute for Housing, Urbanism and Construction (IVUC) of the University of San Martin de Porres has assumed a leading role in the field of bamboo based eco-friendly construction, using a native specie from Peru, the Guadua Angustifolia, usually known as Guayaquil cane. The projects with involvement from both ONGs and governmnent institutions have a considerable social component and at the same time, are in the search for new both efficient and earthquake resistant ways to use this material and thus, slowly increase the knowledge about and create examples of bamboo based architecture.
