Among the documents in best condition kept at the archive of the St John the Baptist Parish Church in Pasvalys are a collection of various notices and letters relating to the fight lasting several years (1533–1549) waged by the church‘s priests over the allocation of four vacant plots of land to the church‘s jurisdiction. Due to a lucky coincidence, the documents of one, specific extended court proceeding have survived almost completely intact, revealing the personal character qualities of the city-born Pasvalys parish priest Erazmas, the son of Eustachijus (†1545/1546), the Vilnius Chapter canon (1531–1545), secretary of the Grand Duke of Lithuania Sigismund the Old (1528–1536), Kaunas customs official (1530–1544), forester of Samogitia, Alytus and Punia (1538–1544), etc., who, in addition to being “clever and greedy”, as related by Stephen C. Rowell, could also be described as “persistent”. One of the presumptions arising from the research is this figure‘s involvement in the forgery of documents. The surviving documents make it possible to describe the actors in detail who in one way or another participated in the above court proceeding and affected the verdicts. Justice was served by officials from the Trakai voivodeship and Upytė rural district. When describing their actions and the documents they issued, attempts were made to grasp the possible extent of their influence on the passing of one or another verdict, and the input of the local administration in the execution of justice. This local case of micropolitics (or “microphysics”, in the sense of Michel Foucault) quite unexpectedly revealed the efforts of the ruler‘s (state) peasants in extending for several years the legal battle of the Pasvalys parish priest Erazmas over acknowledgement of four vacant plots of land to the Pasvalys church. In summarising the research, I urge historians not to ignore the significance of such minor, local politics and small acts of initiative when examining “big politics” for example, such as the battle of the Queen of Poland (1518–1548) and Grand Duchess of Lithuania (1518–1544) Bona Sforza against the seizure of the ruler‘s lands and revision of the nobility‘ s landholding documents in the lands under her rule in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The rich and detailed documentary material relating to the actions of various officials and legal proceedings and their effectiveness (the execution of decrees) reflects the successful functioning of the execution of justice grounded in the culture of written law (“stamped 111 notices”) in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the period under discussion. All the necessary institutions were involved to ensure that by choosing purely legal means, the Pasvalys priests could achieve legal victory, rather than resorting to the use of illegal physical force against their opponents, the peasants. The informed presumptions about the “documented” self-will, i.e., revelations of document falsification revealed during the research, are also discussed. Baigiamajame magistro darbe ištirtas ofsetinių dažų poveikis skirtingų popierių struktūrinėms, optinėms ir mechaninėms savybėms. Atliktas palyginimas tarp balto popieriaus, nepadengto dažų sluoksniu, su atspaudais, padengtais keturiais skirtingais dažų sluoksnio storiais. Nustatyta, kurie popieriai esant tam tikram dažų sluoksnio storiui turi mažiausią bei didžiausią atsparumą mechaninėms savybėms, blogiausias ir geriausias optines savybes. Eksperimentiškai ištirtos šešių popierių, ofsetinių atspaudų trinties savybės ir nustatyti statinės ir kinetinės trinties koeficientai. Nustatytos šių koeficientų vertės tarp popieriaus ir popieriaus, tarp popieriaus ir atspaudo ir tarp atspaudo ir atspaudo. Darbo apimtis – 67 teksto be priedų, 45 iliustracijos ir 2 lentelės. The thesis investigated inks effects of the different papers structural, optical and mechanical properties. Performed comparison between the white paper, uncoated inks layer, with printed, coated in four different inks thickness. It was found which papers and with which kind of coated inks thickness have minimum and maximum resistance of mechanical properties, the best and the worst optical properties. Experimentally investigated six different papers and offset prints friction properties and determined the static and kinetic coefficients of friction. Straipsnyje apžvelgiama XIV –XVI a. Lietuvos kilmingųjų antspaudų naudojimo dokumentuose praktika ir aptariami antspaudų masės tyrimai. Antspaudų masės tyrimams pasirinkti XVI a. Žemaitijos regiono kilmingųjų antspaudai šešiolikoje popierinių dokumentų, kuriuose jie įspausti spaudu per popieriaus skiautę – kustodiją. Spaudo vaizdas atsispindi kustodijoje. Darbo tikslas – mikrocheminiais kokybiniais ir instrumentiniais tyrimo metodais išanalizuoti antspaudų masės sudėtį gaminant šio tipo antspaudus. A seal is a means of authenticating a document. Seal shapes and materials changed in the course of history. The current study deals with seals of Samogitian nobles on sixteen paper manuscript documents from the 16th century. Sealing matrices were pressed into sealing material through a piece of paper (“custodia”). The article outlines historical circumstances that influenced practices of authenticating such documents and provides a list of seals’ owners. The mass analysis of the seals has been carried out by means of microchemical qualitative analysis, optical microscopy (OM ), scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray analysis (SEM / ED X), attenuated total reflection with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR -FTIR ) and X-Ray Diffraction Analysis (XRD ). It has been determined that the sealing material under analysis is mostly based on beeswax. The presence of copper palmitate in the sealing material shows that it was coloured with the use of copper pigments, most probably copper acetate (verdigris). The presence of aluminum, silicon, calcium and magnesium ions suggests that the sealing material may contain small quantities of clay or chalk.

Šiame straipsnyje nagrinėjama lietuvių kalbos ir literatūros valstybinio brandos egzamino darbų – rašinių – skyryba: keturiasdešimt 2014 m. ir šešiasdešimt 2018 m. valstybinio lietuvių kalbos ir literatūros egzamino rašinių, įvertintų 80–100 taškų. Tyrimu siekiama išsiaiškinti, kokios skyrybos klaidos būdingiausios mokinių tekstuose, bandoma nagrinėti jų priežastis ir ypatumus, atskleisti mokinių tekstams būdingus skyrybos bruožus. Statistinė penkerių metų skyrybos klaidų analizė parodė, kad skyryba kelia nemažai problemų, daugiausia (apie 21 proc.) mokinių už skyrybą vis dar gauna 0 taškų (vadinasi, padaro 15 ir daugiau klaidų). Atlikus išsamesnį geriausiai įvertintų darbų skyrybos tyrimą paaiškėjo, kad juose daugiausia šalutinių sakinių skyrybos klaidų. Kita gausi probleminė skyrybos klaidų grupė – išplėstinių pažyminių skyryba. Šie pažyminiai savo struktūra būdami panašūs į išplėstines aplinkybes kelia painiavą skiriant. Kita vertus, kalbant apie pačių išplėstinių aplinkybių skyrybą taip pat matyti, kad galimybė visai neskirti ne visada padeda. Intonaciškai sakinyje norisi pabrėžti tai šios aplinkybė pradžią, tai pabaigą – klystama skiriant šias aplinkybes tik iš vienos pusės. Pasikeitus modalinių žodžių skyrybai, padaugėjo galimų skirti dalelyčių sąrašas – mokiniai ne visada sąrašą įsidėmi ir painioja šias dalelytes su kitomis, jas išskirdami. Klystama ir skiriant išvardijamojo vienarūšiškumo atvejus. Ryškėja polinkis tokias vienarūšes sakinio dalis ne atskirti, o išskirti iš abiejų pusių. Kiti nagrinėjamų skyrybos klaidų atvejai rodo tik pavienius skyrybos ypatumus: kartais rašomi nemotyvuoti skyrybos ženklai, painiojamasi dėl praleidimo skyrybos, keliskart netiksliai skiriamas cituojamas tekstas, sujungiamųjų sakinių dėmenys ir kt. Bendra statistinių duomenų ir atskirų skyrybos klaidų analizė rodo, kad daugeliui mokinių skyryba kelia sunkumų. Tų sunkumų, matyt, kyla dėl įvairių priežasčių: dėl taisyklių supratimo, dėl skyrybos mokymo, pasirenkamųjų ir privalomųjų skyrybos atvejų painiavos, dėl gramatinės sakinio sandaros ir ryšių tarp atskirų žodžių nesupratimo ir t. t. Kad būtų galima nustatyti konkretesnes skyrybos klaidų priežastis ir būdus, kaip jų galima išvengti, svarbu toliau tirti kitų mokinių darbus, atskirai išnagrinėti kebliausius mokytojų skyrybos vertinimo atvejus, keliančius patiems mokytojams dvejonių. This article deals with the punctuation in the papers (essays) of the Lithuanian language and literature national graduation exam, covering a scope of forty essays from the 2014 Lithuanian language and literature national graduation exam and sixty, from the 2016 exam; all essays were graded between 80 and 100. The study aimed to find out which of the punctuation mistakes were the most typical in student papers, attempting to dissect their causes and specifics and disclose the typical punctuation qualities of student texts. Statistical analysis of punctuation mistakes covering a period of five years has shown that punctuation is a rather significant problem, with a substantial group (21 per cent) of students still receiving 0 grades for their punctuation (which means they make 15 mistakes and more). A more thorough investigation of the punctuation in the top-graded papers has revealed that most of the punctuation mistakes present in them relate to punctuation of secondary clauses. Another large group of mistakes is found in the punctuation of extended attributes. These attributes structurally resemble extended adverbial modifiers a lot, leading to confusion in punctuation. On the other hand, in terms of the punctuation of extended adverbial modifiers as such, it is evident that the possibility of using no punctuation at all does not always help either. As far as intonation is concerned, it is natural to want to stress either the beginning or the end of this modifier, and mistakes are only made in punctuating the adverbial modifiers on one side. Changes in the punctuation of modal words have expanded the list of particles that can be punctuated, and students do not always memorise this list and tend to mix these particles up with others, punctuating them. Mistakes are made in punctuating cases of listed uniformity as well. There is a clear inclination towards punctuating such uniform parts of the sentence on both sides instead of separating them. Other cases of punctuation mistakes covered only point to individual characteristics of punctuation, with students sometimes using unmotivated punctuation marks, showing confusion in terms of hiatus punctuation, repeatedly making mistakes in punctuating quotes, elements of coordinate clauses, and so on. The overall analysis of statistical data and separate punctuation mistakes shows that punctuation is difficult to a lot of school students. The difficulty is most likely caused by various reasons: the understanding of the rules, the teaching of punctuation, the confusion in choosing optional and mandatory punctuation cases, the failure to understand the grammatical composition of the sentence and the connections between individual words, and so on. To be able to narrow down the specific causes for making punctuation mistakes and potential methods of avoiding them, it is critical that analysis of the papers by other students continues and the most complicated cases of grading punctuation by teachers, those that even the teachers themselves are dubious about, are investigated separately.

Interactive internet maps are becoming more and more popular because mapping technologes are getting better and modern maps now have more economic benefits compared to paper maps. Moreover, nowadays more and more attention is being paid to integration of modern technologies in the education sphere because modern learning tools are often considered as much better than traditional tools. Because of these reasons, it is necessary to investigate the influence of the map publishing type on the effectiveness of learning map information. This type of research could help us to understand how to properly integrate modern technologies into learning process. The main aim of this final Master‘s thesis is to determine the influence of the map publishing type on effectiveness of perceiving and remembering thematic maps information. The research was based on the sociometric method. The effectiveness of learning thematic maps information was estimated using the following criteria: efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction. Two groups of respondents participated in the research. The experimental group had to find answers to the given questions by using the paper maps while the control group completed the same tasks using an interactive internet map. Every group was consisted of respondends with different levels of education and different experience of map use. Specially for the research web application was developed. It consisted of a questionnaire and an interactive internet map which had the same content as the selected paper maps. The work consists of introduction, three chapters, conclusions, bibliography, summary in Lithuanian and English languages, and appendixes. The most important part of this work is the results chapter. In this chapter the findings of the sociometric study are being presented and analyzed. The research has showed that the influence of the map publishing type on effectiveness of perceiving and remembering thematic maps information depends on the experience of the interactive map use. Respondents who have less experience (especially pupils) learned thematic information less effectively by using interactive internet map than using paper maps while the results of profesional users (who has higher education degree in cartography and work in this field) were opposite. Moreover the research data was proper for evaluating the influence of map structure and cartographic methods to perceive thematic map information. The analysis of the research data has shown that the most significant perception differences using paper and interactive internet maps were affected by the most significant differences of map structure and cartographic methods. The results of the research has revealed that in order to improve effectiveness of learning thematic map information there is a need to pay more attention on improving pupils interactive map skills and geographic knowledge. Moreover, such solution could open new possibilies to integrate modern maps into education sphere.

The impact of eight different writing inks prepared according to ancient recipes on the degradation of cotton and eucalyptus cellulose paper have been investigated. The efficiency of three types of stabilization systems have been compared. It is shown that each type of ink accelerate the degradation of paper, however inks with transition metal ions speed up the degradation processes in particular. The reliance between intensity of degradation and the nature and state of paper fibres have been established as well. The impact of ageing conditions and the environment of samples on the degradation of inked paper have been shown: paper degrades less during ageing in open dishes rather than in sealed vessels where volatile decay products could not escape from the sample. The degradation of paper is slower when paper is in alkaline environment.The impact of new conservation agent 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) have been investigated. It is shown that the procedure of alkalization of paper with APTES solution in 2-propanol meets the main requirements of paper deacidification procedures. The efficiency of deacidification of paper by the dispersions of nanoparticles of Ca(OH)2 and Mg(OH)2, and APTES solution in 2-propanol have been compared.The total impact of alkaline compound APTES and an antioxidant KI have been investigated. The positive effect of treatment with APTES/KI solution in 2-propanol on the stability of inked paper has been shown: the process of degradation of APTES/KI treated paper samples found to be slower. Furthemore, the system APTES/KI found to be effective when used for passive conservation. Due to satisfactory results of conservation of model manuscripts and historical manuscript dated back to year 1744 it is shown that the system APTES/KI can be further investigated for stabilization of historical manuscripts.

Interneto atsiradimas ir įsigalėjimas smarkiai paveikė senuosius teksto tipus ir žanrus, lėmė naujų atsiradimą. Plačiai aptariamas elektroninis diskursas ir įvairios jo rūšys – internetinės konferencijos, svetainės ir hipertekstas, išryškinant dėl technologinių naujovių ir kitokio informacijos skleidimo kanalo atsiradusius bendruosius komunikacijos: kaip internetiniai tekstai yra kuriami ir skaitomi, kodėl ir kaip yra panaudojama hiperteksto galimybės, kaip internetas keičia rašytojo ir skaitytojo vaidmenis (Balčytienė 2000, 2004, 2005) ir konkrečiuosius kalbos ir teksto ypatumus (Ryklienė 2001). Naujosios informacinės technologijos ypač paveikė tekstą: pasikeitė jo pobūdis – atsirado hipertekstas kaip visai naujas iki tol neįsivaizduojamas teksto tipas, pakito kai kurie seni ir atsirado nauji teksto žanrai (plg. paprastą ir elektroninį laišką, tradicinį ir internetinį dienoraštį). Vienas iš jų yra internetinio teksto komentarai, atsiradę ir paplitę taip pat dėl interneto teikiamų technologinių ir internetinių leidinių siūlomų galimybių komentuoti tekstus. Jie kur kas labiau nutolę nuo tradicinių komentarų nei kiti neinternetinius atitikmenis turintys žanrai, todėl nusipelno tyrėjų dėmesio. Manoma, kad tai yra naujas internetinis žanras, todėl įdomu pasvarstyti, kokią vietą jis, kaip ir bet kuris kitas žanras, užima elektroniniame diskurse ir visuomenės gyvenime apskritai, kokią naują diskurso bendruomenę telkia ir kokiems tikslams. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] The paper overviews 116 comments on one Internet paper from the point of view of their textual status and main functions: ideational, interpersonal and structural. The main issue is a disputable autonomous status of a single com-mentary in the flow of all comments on the same paper. Distinctive features of Internet comments as a new genre in-clude: multiple context (both linguistic and extra-linguistic) dependency, a great variety of readers’ motifs to comment (attempts to evaluate, persuade, reason, generalise, inform, advertise, have emotional impact, etc.), diverse contents of comments and linguistic features of the spoken language in a written form. In spite of their great variety and diversity comments usually have the same topic, informational structure of the flow of comments and highly interactive discourse community. A conclusion is drawn that not a single comment but the whole flow of comments for the same paper should be treated as a text if it has to meet traditional requirements of a text.

Ikikarinės Lietuvos žydų pradžios mokyklų mokytojas Simonas Vainbergas (1894–?) buvo vienas iš nedaugelio savo kolegų, aktyviai bendradarbiavusių lietuviškuose pedagoginiuose žurnaluose. Jis paskelbė juose 11 matematikos didaktikos straipsnių apie matematikos mokymą pradžios mokyklose. Straipsniai padėjo jauniems pradžios mokyklų mokytojams kelti savo kvalifikaciją. Labai galimas daiktas, kad S. Vainbergas tapo holokausto auka. Simonas Vainbergas, a teacher of Jewish primary schools in prewar Lithuania (1894?), was one of few his colleagues that actively collaborated with Lithuanian pedagogical journals. He published in them 11 papers in didactics of mathematics about teaching mathematics at primary schools. The said papers helped young teachers of primary schools to improve their qualification. There is a great probability that S. Vainbergas was a victim of holocaust.

The article examines special features of the image of judges presented during so called paedophilia scandal. Qualitative and quantitative content analysis was applied in order to analyse selected publications of the informational portal "Delfi" and daily paper "Lietuvos rytas". The results revealed, that at the beginning of paedophilia scandal (October 2009) "Delfi" paid more attention to negative information about judges, while "Lietuvos rytas" paid more attention to neutral and positive information. However, later (November 2010 and March 2012) the amount of information, which called the integrity and objectivity of judges into question, increased in both media sources. Although negative and compromising information about judges was predominant in "Delfi" and "Lietuvos rytas" (consisted 58,8 percent and 45 percent respectively), image of judges presented in "Delfi" was more negative, compared to the one in "Lietuvos rytas" . In addition, image of judges presented in "Delfi" could convince and influence readers more, as more than a half (61,1 percent) of information announced in "Delfi" was based on the facts, while more than a half (52,8 percent) of information announced in "Lietuvos rytas" was based on somebody‘s opinion. The results suggest that during so called paedophilia scandal image of judges presented in informational portal "Delfi" and daily paper "Lietuvos rytas" could reduce the authority of judges and cause doubts and distrust in court decisions.

Tiriamoji problema Grafinis rankos piršto sąnarių kampų tyrimas su dvejomis sulankstyto popieriaus juostomis galėtų būti greita alternatyva standartinei goniometrijai ir savityros priemonė. Popieriaus juostų metodo patikimumas anksčiau nebuvo tirtas. Metodai Šis tyrimas palygino kartotinių matavimų, gautų abiem instrumentais, patikimumo charakteristikas (1) 24 sveikų medicinos studentų bei (2) 61 paciento ir 1 profesionalaus matuotojo imtyse. Neklinikinės studijos dalyviai keitėsi tiriamojo ir matuotojo rolėmis. Sveiki tiriamieji naudojo specialius kampainius ketvirto piršto dauginėms pozicijoms nustatyti. Pacientai atliko penkto piršto aktyvaus tiesimo savityrą be žymaus išankstinio pasiruošimo, o patyręs matuotojas paraleliai tyrė abiem metodais. Sąnarių brėžiniai buvo nuskenuoti ir išmatuoti. Rezultatai Neklinikinėje studijoje abiejų instrumentų patikimumas buvo panašus. Matuotojų vidinis ir tarpusavio vidinis klasės koreliacijos koeficientas (ICC) svyravo nuo 0,69 iki 0,93, o atitinkamos standartinės matavimo paklaidos – nuo 2,4 iki 4,9. Klinikinėje studijoje proksimaliniams tarpfalanginiams sąnariams matuotojų vidiniai ICC viršijo 0,99, o paciento ir tyrėjo tarpusavio ICC buvo mažesni nei 0,033. Tačiau priimtinų absoliučių ≤5 skirtumų proporcijos buvo ekvivalentiškos visose tyrėjo matavimų porose, o paciento ir tyrėjo poriniams matavimas šios proporcijos skyrėsi tarpfalanginių sąnarių atvejais. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] Research problem Diagrammatic evaluation of finger joint angles by using two folded paper strips could be a quick alternative to the standard goniometry and a means for self-evaluation. Reliability of the paper strip technique has not been explored. Methods This research compared reliability characteristics of repeated measurements obtained with both tools by employing (1) 24 healthy medical students to act interchangeably as subjects and raters and (2) 61 patients and a professional rater. The healthy subjects used special guides to position their ring finger joints at varying angles. The patients, without considerable preparation, self-evaluated active extension of the filth finger with paper strips, and the practitioner performed parallel evaluations with both tools. The diagrams of joint angles were scanned and measured. Results In the non-clinical study, reliability was similar for both tools. Intrarater and interrater intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) ranged from 0.69 to 0.93, and the standard errors of measurements ranged from 2.4º to 4.9º. In the clinical study, for proximal interphalangeal joints, intrarater ICCs were above 0.99, and Interrater (patient versus rater) ICCs were below 0.033. However, the proportions of the acceptable absolute ≤5 differences between all paired practitioner’s measurements were equivalent. It is quite important that girls and boys would be able to evaluate and create beauty and apply it in their surroundings. Thematic maps are created considering to special standards and recommendations for cartographic signs, graphic information loads and et cetera. However, training maps in Lithuania are still produced without any clear standards or recommendations for the content. There are not enough researchers done on pupils’ perception of training maps such as an optimal quantity of graphic information in the maps for pupils for different grades. So, it is necessary to create the recommendations how to draw the geographic maps according to pupils’ perception in any grade. In education as well as in other areas, visualization is spreading widely as method. It is newly seen the traditional educational process and tools. Map is one of the oldest school attributes as a teaching tool used in many different subjects and curricular areas. However there are no new – especially original – educational researches about the information quality and quantity of the content of the training maps. In this paper author summarized the experience of applying GIS in geography teaching in Lithuania and Japan schools, also for the first time made very detail surveys on the basis of pupils’ perception of cartographic materials as well as provided a new methodic of pupils individual perception of graphic information loads and provided the specific and concrete recommendations of graphic information loads for the creation training maps for different levels of junior high school pupils. This paper consists of the following recommended main parts referring to the Lithuania Science Council’s resolution No. VI – 4, 2003: the introduction, the research review, methodology, research results, conclusions and references. The paper includes 91 original pictures, 23 tables and 112 literature sources. The whole paper consists of 213 pages.

Vaikų teisių apsaugos magistro darbo tema aktuali, nes šiandien ikimokyklinio ugdymo paslaugos Lietuvoje yra nevienodai prieinamos miesto ir kaimo gyventojams. Ikimokyklinės ugdymo institucijos rengia naujas ugdymo programas, kurių turinys turi užtikrinti ugdymo proceso kokybę. Iškyla probleminis darbo klausimas, kaip ugdymo turinys ugdymo procese atliepia šiuolaikinio vaiko poreikius, kaip užtikrinama ugdymo kokybė? Tyrimo objektas – ikimokyklinio ugdymo paslaugų prieinamumo kokybinė raiška. Iškeltas darbo tikslas – atskleisti ikimokyklinio ugdymo paslaugų prieinamumo kokybę mieste ir kaime, tiriant 5-6 metų amžiaus vaikų kompetencijas. Siekiant įgyvendinti šį tikslą, iškelti uždaviniai: išanalizuoti ikimokyklinio ugdymo politikos kryptis ir teorinius aspektus Lietuvoje; išanalizuoti ikimokyklinio ugdymo paslaugų prieinamumą bei kokybę mieste ir kaime; palyginti 5-6 metų amžiaus vaikų, ugdomų ikimokyklinėse įstaigose gebėjimų lygmenį, šeimoje ir institucijoje pagal kompetencijas; apibendrinti ikimokyklinio ugdymo prieinamumo kokybę, vertinant 5-6 metų amžiaus vaikų įgūdžius ir gebėjimus. The article also provides the examples of mistakes found in welding papers. The use of nonpronominal forms in the denoted terms is one of typical morphological mistakes in treating the process of welding. Straipsnyje nagrinėjamos nužudytojo karaliaus Mindaugo sūnaus Vaišelgos (Vaišvilko) ir jo svainio Švarno valdymo Lietuvoje aplinkybės 1264–1268 m. bei Haličo-Voluinės kunigaikščių politinis kišimasis į Lietuvos vidaus reikalus. Plačiai ištiriamas Haličo-Voluinės metraščio, vienintelio istorinio šaltinio apie tą valdymą, kategoriškas tvirtinimas, jog Švarnas ne vienerius metus valdė Lietuvą. Tyrimo metu pastebėta, kad keliamos problemos klausimu metraščio informacija po kelių redagavimų, kuriuos įvykdė Voluinės kunigaikščiams palankūs redaktoriai, stipriai nutolo nuo tikrų įvykių. Tai labiausiai apsunkina Vaišelgos ir Švarno valdymo Lietuvoje realijų pažinimą. Straipsnio išvadoje tvirtinama, kad 1267 m. antroje pusėje Švarnas buvo miręs (neveiksnus arba pasiligojęs), todėl jis negalėjo valdyti Lietuvos po Vaišelgos nužudymo 1267 m. Jo anksčiau turėtos valdžios maksimumas toliau Naugarduko nesiekė. Švarno brolis, Haličo kunigaikštis Levas, neleido jam su dėdė Vasilku įgyti didesnės politinės įtakos Lietuvoje, už jų nugarų užmegzdamas draugiškus ryšius su valdžią Lietuvoje paėmusiu Kernavės kunigaikščiu Traideniu. The paper analyses the circumstances of the rule of King Mindaugas’ murdered son Vaišelga (Vaišvilkas) and of his brother-in-law Švarnas in Lithuania in 1264–1268, and the political interference of Halych-Volyn dukes in Lithuania’s internal affairs. The study explores in greater detail the categorical statement found in the Halych-Volyn manuscript, the only historical source of that rule, that Švarnas ruled Lithuania for several years. The study has established that after a few drafts by editors favourable to Volyn dukes the manuscript’s information on the subject question moved a good deal away from real events. This mostly impedes knowledge of the realities of the rule of Vaišelga and Švarnas in Lithuania. In conclusion, the paper claims that in the second half of 1267 Švarnas was dead (incapable or diseased), which made his rule of Lithuania after Vaišelga’s murder in the same year impossible. His previous supreme authority did not go beyond Naugardukas. Švarnas’ brother Lev, the Duke of Halych, did not allow him and uncle Vasilk to acquire a larger political influence in Lithuania, establishing behind their backs friendly ties with Traidenis, the Duke of Kernavė, who had taken power in Lithuania.

This paper deals with the research study of the impact that advertising makes on consumers’ behaviour and the selected methodology for the research of the impact of advertising on consumers’ behaviour that was adapted on practical level providing it with the investigation and interpretation of the corresponding research results. The paper includes the analysis of theoretical impact of advertising on consumers’ behaviour, investigation of the clients’ that order an advertising campaign, viewpoint on the importance of advertising, conclusions and proposals. While carrying out the theoretical analysis of the impact of advertising on consumers’ behaviour, the study of foreign and Lithuanian scientific works that deal with the impact of advertising on consumers’ behaviour has been made. In pursuance of the first research, a direct verbal survey of employees at the advertising company „Aukštaitijos reklama „ („Advertising of Higher Lithuania“) has been conducted. While conducting this survey, a standardized interview was used, five employees were interviewed by asking them the same questions, that were prepared in advance, about the viewpoints of the clients that order an advertising campaign towards the necessity and importance of advertising and the sum of money budgeted for it. Magistro darbe nagrinėjama, kaip šalies spauda reprezentuoja politikus ir kokius politikų stereotipus kuria dažniausiai – palankius ar nepalankius patiems politikams. Analizuojami du vieni didžiausių šalies dienraščių: „Lietuvos rytas“ ir „Kauno diena“. Tyrimu siekiama patvirtinti tris pagrindines darbe keltas hipotezes: 1) Kokia politinė informacija ir kaip pateikta pasieks skaitytojus lemia žiniasklaidos priemonės, o ne politikai; 2) Lietuvos spaudoje pateikiamos politinės naujienos stokoja objektyvumo ir nešališkumo; 3) Dienraščiuose pateikiama politinė informacija dažniau yra nepalanki politikams, taip kuriami negatyvūs politikų stereotipai; Tyrimas buvo atliekamas keliais etapais. Pirmiausia, buvo aiškinamasi, kokia informacija - palanki ar nepalanki politikams – dažniau pateikiama dienraščiuose. Taip pat stebėta, ar politinės žinutės parašytos interpretatyviu ar deskriptyviu stiliumi. Šiame etape kokybiškai ir kiekybiškai tirti mėnesio bėgyje (04 13 – 05 13) pasirodžiusių dienraščių išplėstinės žinutės, kuriose minimi šalies politikai – t.y. Seimo ir Vyriausybės nariai. Nustatyta, jog didesnė dalis politinių žinučių buvo parašytos deskriptyviu stiliumi, tačiau net ir pakankamai nešališkos žinutės dažniausiai buvo nepalankios politikams. [toliau žr. visą tekstą] This MA thesis researches how Lithuanian politicians are being represented in the press and what political stereotypes (favorable or unfavorable to the politicians) are being created. Two main Lithuanian daily newspapers – „Lietuvos rytas“ and „Kauno diena“ – were analysed. The research tends to prove the three main hypothesis: 1) What political information will reach the readers and the way it is covered depends on media, not on politicians; 2) The political news, published in Lithuanian press, lacks objectivity and impartiality; 3) The majority of daily political information is unfavorable to the politicians. That is the way the negative stereotypes of politicians are being created. The reserach consists on several stages. Firstly, what information – favorable or unfavorable to the politicians – is published more often. Also, it was analysed wether political notes were interpretative or descriptive. This stage contains quantative and qualitative content analysis of extended notes, where state‘s politicians (the members of Parliament and Government) are mentioned. The period of the research was a month (04 13 – 05 13). It was stated, the majority of the notes were written in descirptive style, nevertheless, even quite impartial notes were mostly unfavorable to the politicians. Šiame magistro darbe aptariamas kitataučių vaizdinys Lietuvos masinėse informavimo priemonėse (spaudoje). Spaudos tyrimas paremtas 82 straipsnių, kuriuose kalbama apie kitataučius, analize, jie spausdinti 2004, 2005 metų sausį regioninėse Lietuvos dienraščiuose „Klaipėda“ ir „Šiaulių kraštas“. Tyrime taikyta hermeneutinė, kokybinė ir kiekybinė turinio (content) analizė, paremta pagrįstosios teorijos (grounded theory) atvirojo kodavimo procedūromis. Tiriamuoju laikotarpiu abiejuose dienraščiuose pasirodydavo po vieną ar net kelis straipsnius apie kitataučius per dieną. Tai reiškia, kad tiriamuoju laikotarpiu kitataučių tema žiniasklaidoje (regioniniuose laikraščiuose) yra nuolatinė. „Šiaulių krašte“ straipsnių apie kitataučius daugiau nei trečdaliu daugiau nei „Klaipėdoje“. Lyginant 2004 ir 2005 metų sausio mėnesio straipsnius, pastebėta jų daugėjimo tendencija vėlesniais metais. Kitataučių temoms aprašyti dažniausiai naudojami vidutinio dydžio (0,5-1 puslapio) straipsniai. Didžioji dauguma straipsnių apie kitataučius yra iliustruota 1 ir daugiau nuotraukų. Ir „Šiaulių krašto“, ir „Klaipėdos“ dienraščių 1-ajame puslapyje buvo išspausdinti 22 straipsniai apie kitataučius. Kitataučiai „Klaipėdoje“ ir „Šiaulių krašte“ daugiausiai pristatomi, kalbant apie jų gyvenamąsias vietas (nuo valstybės iki namų erdvės), žmogiškuosius faktorius (tokius kaip charakterio bruožai, išorė), jų socialinius ryšius – vyro ir moters santykius, santykius šeimoje, vestuvių ypatybes. The research of the mass media discourse of foreigners was based on 82 articles about people from other countries (not Lithuanians), which were found in period 2004, 2005 January, and were taken from two daily newspapers – two big regional newspapers – „Klaipėda“ and „Šiaulių kraštas“. In this research combined approaches of hermeneutic, qualitative and quantitative content analysis, based on procedures of open and axel coding of grounded theory was used. In two Lithuanian periodic newspapers (2004, 2005 January) was published 1 article or more than 1 article about foreigners in a day, it means that foreigners theme in Lithuanian mass media is steady. Also was found, that regional daily newspaper of Šiauliai gives attention to foreigners' theme third more than regional daily newspaper of Klaipėda. Tendency of articles number increasing in period 2004, 2005 January was noticed. Size of the biggest part of articles was 0,5-1 pages, most of articles was illustrating article (had 1 or more photos), and 22 articles were on the first newspapers' page. The biggest part of articles headings and subheadings talk about foreigners' places to live (from country till home spread), their characters, how do they look like, their connections in families, connections between man and woman, wedding ceremonies.
