The article aimed to find out the degree of possession of the basic stage teachers of the habits of mind in the schools of Madaba Governorate. The questionnaire was used as a tool for the study. The mind came in a medium degree, and the results also showed that there were statistically significant differences in the degree of possession of the basic stage teachers of the habits of the mind due to the academic qualification and in favor of those whose scientific qualifications were postgraduate studies, while it showed that there were no statistically significant differences due to the years of experience. The study recommended the need to develop training programs that would develop the habits of mind among the basic stage teachers, and recommended the need to adapt the curricula to include the use of habits of mind in the school environment. The study aimed to assess the suitability of the learning environment in the context of sustainable development dimensions, as perceived by primary grade teachers. To achieve the study's objectives, the descriptive survey methodology was employed, and data was collected via a questionnaire. Once its validity and reliability were confirmed, the questionnaire was electronically distributed to a sample of 203 primary grade teachers in the city of Khobar.The results indicated that, overall, the suitability of the learning environment within the framework of sustainable development dimensions, as perceived by primary grade teachers, was rated highly. The suitability of the human environment, according to the dimensions of sustainable development, was ranked first and received a high score. The suitability of the physical environment, in light of the sustainable development dimensions, was ranked second and also received a high score.There were no statistically significant differences in the suitability scores of the learning environment according to the sustainable development dimensions across all categories, based on years of experience and academic qualifications of the primary grade teachers. However, significant statistical differences were found between the average response rankings of the study sample on the first axis (the degree of suitability of the human environment according to sustainable development dimensions) depending on whether or not the teachers had participated in training courses.In light of these findings, the study recommends conducting training courses for primary grade teachers to increase their awareness of sustainable development dimensions, and to leverage this understanding to enhance the learning environment. The study also advises the development of educational activities that can contribute to realizing the sustainable development dimensions in the learning environment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The study aimed to explore the practices of implementing carbon-neutral practices and its challenges in the school environment in the Sultanate of Oman from the viewpoint of principals and teachers. The study adopted the mixed method approach, using two data collection tools to achieve its objectives. The first tool was a questionnaire applied to (412) male and female teachers, besides focus group interviews with a sample consisting of (12) male and female principals and (12) male and female teachers, from cycle II basic education schools in the governorates of Al Batinah South and Al Dakhiliyah. The results showed that carbon neutrality practices are moderately practiced in school education from the point of view of principals and teachers. The results also revealed that there are some major challenges, such as the lack of financial support and available educational means. Additionally, the results showed that there are no statistically significant differences in teachers’ viewpoints based on gender, specialization, and educational governorates. Considering this, the study recommended promoting awareness of the importance of carbon neutrality among all workers in the school environment and training teachers on appropriate teaching strategies for the practice of carbon neutrality in school education. The article aimed to identify the role of the school media as one of the most important educational methods in developing social responsibility - through what it provides of scientific and cultural materials - among students in Irbid Secondary Schools from a study sample members consisted of (50) individuals. The researchers used the descriptive approach and the questionnaire as a tool to collect data which consisted of (26) paragraphs' after verifying its validity and reliability. The (SPSS) program was used to analyze its data. The results: There is a high-level positive role for school media in developing social responsibility among students as towards the school and its environment' and with a moderate degree in developing responsibility towards the local community. The presence of statistically significant differences at (0.05≥α) between the responses according to gender and in favor to males. Lack of differences according to the rest of the study variables. The Recommendations: Activating the role of school media' especially school radio' to broadcast national awareness and define social responsibility which is considered one of the most important values of good citizenship among young students . The article aimed to identify classroom management problems from the point of view of a sample of educational teachers in the schools of the Qweismeh District Education Directorate. To achieve this goal, the study used the descriptive analytical approach, a random sample of (583) female teachers was selected, to whom the study questionnaire was distributed during the first semester of the academic year 2022/2023. The results of the study indicated that the classroom management problems (pertaining to the teacher himself, pertaining to the students, and pertaining to the school environment) came with high total averages. The study also did not find any statistically significant differences at the significance level (a≤0.05) in classroom management problems due to the difference in academic qualifications or years of experience. In light of the results obtained, it was recommended to hold training courses for teachers on how to effectively manage the classroom, use modern teaching methods to ensure student interaction and not be distracted during the class, and work to reduce the number of students in one class to facilitate control of their behavior and make the best use of class time. E-learning is a necessity of life, especially amidst the changes that the world is witnessing today. It has provided a solution to the problem of education after the COVID-19 pandemic. However, e-learning faces many difficulties and challenges. There are many studies that have discussed the challenges facing e-learning in universities, but there is a scarcity of research that has discussed the challenges facing e-learning in Arab school environments. The researcher in this study adopts a descriptive approach and identified a set of difficulties in applying this technology. The study concludes that the most important of these difficulties are: a lack of awareness of how to apply e-learning, inadequate suitability of content for e-learning, inadequate suitability of the environment, as well as problems with protection and privacy. Based on this, the research recommends the necessity of raising teachers' awareness about the importance and how to apply e-learning optimally, as well as establishing training programs for teachers. The study aimed to identify the factors of the drop out of the first three grades of Syrian refugees from Jordanian public schools from the point of view of their school principals. To achieve the objective of the study, the researchers constructed a questionnaire consisted of (45) paragraphs divided into three areas: (Factors related to school environment, family and economic factors, social and psychological factors). The sample of the study was randomly selected from the original study population, which consisted of (51) person of the principals of the Jordanian public schools, which included the students of the first three grades of the Syrian refugees in (Irbid and Ramtha) cities during the first semester of the academic year (2019/2018). The results of the study showed that the reasons of drop out of the first three grades of the syrian refugees from jordanian public schools are limited to three factors with a medium impact: Factors related to the school environment, family and economic factors, and social and psychological factors. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences due to the gender variable in favor of males, as well as the scientific qualification variable in favor of the PhD, and there is no statistically significant differences due to variable of experience years. This research mainly aims to study the effect of noise on the school environment and its relationship to each of the audio-visual perception and attitudes of the students, and this research followed the descriptive analytical approach, and to achieve the goal, both field visits to the schools under study, observation and measurement of noise levels in addition to a questionnaire form whose data were collected In the personal interview, which included three axes: the school’s environment data, the data for the interior design of the classrooms, the students’ data, including general data, general health status, students’ tendencies and attitudes towards noise, auditory perception test, and visual perception assessment for them. The research tools were applied in 7 primary schools. A government-sponsored sample of 400 students (135 boys and 265 girls) from the sixth grade of primary school was used on a randomized sample of 400 students in Giza Governorate.Data were analyzed statistically using percentages, mean standard deviation frequency tables correlation coefficient and the SPSS statistical program was used to analyze the data and verify the validity of research hypotheses. The research results revealed the following: There is an inverse correlation at the 0.01 probability level between each of the elements of the school's interior design, the classroom, and the students' general health data, and students' attitudes toward noise. There is an inverse correlation at the 0.01 probabilistic level between each of the elements of the interior design of the school, the classroom, and the general health data of students, and between each of the students' visual perceptions and at the 0.05 probability level of the students' auditory perceptions. There are significant differences between boys and girls at the 0.01 probability level in each of the students' inclinations and attitudes towards noise in favor of girls. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aims at identifying the compatibility of the environment of school science laboratories with the skills of knowledge economy, and the study relied on the descriptive approach, where the questionnaire was used to collect data and included four filed, namely: creativity and thinking, problem-solving, effectiveness of the laboratory environment, and the provision of possibilities and communication technology, where the honesty and reliability of questionnaire have been verified. The sample of the study consisted of (228) supervisors of science laboratories in the 1st Irbid educational Directorate schools. The results showed that the environment of school science laboratories corresponds to the knowledge economy skills have a high degree in all fields, most notably for creativity and thinking followed by the provision of possibilities and information technology and then the effectiveness of the laboratory environment and finally problem-solving. The results also indicated that there were no significant differences in the estimates of the supervisors of science laboratories on the compatibility of the environment of school science laboratories with the knowledge economy skills in all fields and estimates as a whole due to the variables of gender, experience, and educational qualification. The study recommended the need to prepare science laboratories and provide the laboratory environment for the possibility of re-experiment more than once to confirm the information and the formation of knowledge. This study discussed the contemporary methods of teaching conversation skills for non-Arabic speakers. It clarified the concept of conversation skills, and the stages of its teaching. In addition, the study addressed the importance of Arabic teaching programmes for non-Native Speakers and their interests in them. It also discussed the most important objectives of this skill, as well as the most prominent methods of its teaching to non-Arabic speakers. These teaching methods include the Direct Method, Audio-Lingual Method, Dialog Method, Communicative Method, and Selective Method. It was clear that, each method has its own advantages and disadvantages, as well as there is no ideal way to teach conversation to non-Arabic speakers. However, it is possible to follow more than one method in a lesson. In addition to that, the study also addressed the problems that non-Arabic speakers may face in acquiring conversation skills. The study found that these problems may be attributable to the learners, the teachers, the curriculum, or the educational environment. The most important problems which are related to the learners were the lack of motivation to speak, and their indifference to learn beyond the class, as well as their lack of linguistic command; while the problems which are related to teachers were their use of a common language in teaching, ignoring the use of modern technology, as well as their lack of familiarity with modern teaching methods. As of the problems related to syllabus, they were unable to measure the objectives of language teaching and fail to integrate the four language skills. It was also found that the three linguistic competencies were not considered when designing textbooks. Problems related to the educational environment are like the large number of students in classroom and other related problems. The study tried to suggest some solutions that might overcome these difficulties, the most important of them are giving more rooms to the communicative approach in teaching language, diversifying the teaching methods, avoiding the use of a intermediary language in teaching, and other solutions. The study aimed to identify the challenges facing school leaders when applying distance education in light of the Corona crisis, through the following dimensions (the ministry sector and education departments - school environment - teacher / e - student / e - family). In addition to identifying the statistically significant differences at the function level 0.05 = a between the arithmetic averages of the sample members due to the variables: school stage, school type, gender, academic degree, years of experience in the leadership position. The study sample included 236 male and female leaders from all public and private schools in Riyadh for all stages (primary, intermediate, and secondary). The researcher used the survey method, and the questionnaire was applied to the study sample. The study concluded that the challenges facing school leaders when applying distance education in the Corona pandemic, came in a row, challenges related to the ministry sector and education departments, followed by challenges related to the school environment. Then family related challenges. Then there are the challenges related to the student. Finally, the challenges related to the teacher come as the least challenges facing school leaders. The study also found that there are statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) between the average responses of the study members about the total degree to the challenges facing school leaders when applying distance education in light of the Corona crisis and its subdimensions represented in (challenges related to the ministry sector and education departments - challenges related to the school environment) according to the variable of the type of school, in favor of public schools. The study recommended updating educational systems, including in line with the distance education process. This study aimed to investigate degree of satisfaction of teachers in Palestine regarding the procedures taken by the Palestinian Ministry of Education which are aimed at reopening schools for students during the COVID-19 pandemic. It also aimed to identify the statistically significant differences between responses of the research sample members, according to the variables: gender, academic qualification, years of experience and specialization. In order to achieve the aims of the study, a descriptive method was used, while documents and official papers issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Education during the Covid-19 pandemic were referred to and consulted. A questionnaire was designed to collect information from the research sample which consisted of (930) male and female teachers. The results showed that teachers’ degree of satisfaction regarding returning to schools was moderate in general. Regarding the major areas, teachers’ degree of satisfaction with circulars and decisions taken by the Ministry of Education was in the first tank, followed by satisfaction with school environment, and then followed by satisfaction with technical support and training. In addition, the results showed no statistically significant differences due to the variables: gender, academic qualification and specialization, while there was a statistically significant difference due to the variable years of experience.
