Abstract

The study aimed to identify the factors of the drop out of the first three grades of Syrian refugees from Jordanian public schools from the point of view of their school principals. To achieve the objective of the study, the researchers constructed a questionnaire consisted of (45) paragraphs divided into three areas: (Factors related to school environment, family and economic factors, social and psychological factors). The sample of the study was randomly selected from the original study population, which consisted of (51) person of the principals of the Jordanian public schools, which included the students of the first three grades of the Syrian refugees in (Irbid and Ramtha) cities during the first semester of the academic year (2019/2018). The results of the study showed that the reasons of drop out of the first three grades of the syrian refugees from jordanian public schools are limited to three factors with a medium impact: Factors related to the school environment, family and economic factors, and social and psychological factors. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences due to the gender variable in favor of males, as well as the scientific qualification variable in favor of the PhD, and there is no statistically significant differences due to variable of experience years.
